  • Nurse ignores the game mechanics so her potential comes down to the experience of the nurse player. A god-nurse who plays at 100% of her potential will win against any survivors even without ruin simply because pallets, distance and windows don't affect her in a chase.

  • If the killer closes the hatch you're dead unless it's a slow killer AND the gates have a huge distance between them. You can play stealthy all day it makes no difference because you have a few minutes to open the gate and the killer will run up and down till he finds you holding the lever.

  • Best to worst:

    1) Nurse

    2) Spirit

    3) Hag

    4) Huntress

    5) Pig

    6) Plague

    7) Susie/Julie

  • Fast healer:

As an item: A medkit of your choice with "Abdominal Dressing" (+25% healing speed) and "Gel Dressings" (adds 16 charges)

    Perks:

    - botany knowledge (33% more medkit efficiency+speed)

    - self care (20% more medkit efficiency)

    - streetwise (15% reduced item consumption)

    - we'll make it

    feelsbadman.

On a serious note: Those weird hits are always caused by connections rather than hitboxes. Hopefully the dedicated servers will be any good so we can all experience proper games. As a killer I want to get legit hits. It kinda feels cheated to get a lame down through vaults and pallets all the time.

  • I was a killer main without ruin or noed (usually purple ranks back then) when pallet vacuum and infinite sprint bursts were a thing so I'd get used to it I reckon. I'd probably main Huntress again, though.

  • Online game = people can act like total [VERY BAD WORD] with no consequences. That's why.

  • Wait... You think a survivor who hides next to gate all game deserves 32k bloodpoints if the other 3 survivors manage to repair all generators and die in the process? What kinda logic is that? You should always get what you work for.

There is no auto-aim for objects. You simply swung and hit an object.

You should check your mouse if your aim is suddenly jerking in a different direction.

The auto aim definitely is bugged or causes weird hit movements due to connection issues with the specific survivor. I remember when I tried to hit a survivor and he sprint bursted left and right causing the auto aim to radically turn my camera to the left side even though I never looked to the left during that moment. I ended up hitting the generator the survivor worked on. Those are really annoying moments.

As someone mentioned there should be a toggle on/off option. Simple solution.

Last chainsaw swing doing nothing and non working addons really fine...

It's actually worse than that. Last swing can't down a survivor but it can still stun Bubba if you move into an object during that semi-imaginary chainsaw swing.

Because if RBT timer was 60 seconds, survivors would cry that it is OP and it is impossible to survive it.

However, it would be awesome if they made tempered timer an Ultra-rare addon, which cuts survivor`s timer to 60 seconds, and, for e.g, takes away pig`s ability to track Jigsaw boxes.

So you're saying a 60 second timer would not be op?

  • Not gonna lie this thread is kind of cute. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Next thread: "not sure if you know this but there are wooden boards on the map that you can drop so the killer can't hit you!"

  • Why not change his tantrum into something you can use to your advantage? Like let's say he still moves at 105% during his tantrum allowing you to increase the total distance of the chainsaw attack by hitting a wall just before the chainsaw attack would usually end.

  • 100% as survivor and killer. Once you get used to it you realize it's still too low. As survivor I want to be able to look behind me in a split second which isn't exactly possible right now with a controller.

As killer I want to be able to spin completely in a second which isn't possible either even at 100%. We need more.

  • Perhaps he's used to downing people in a matter of seconds so that 1 minute chase kinda worked against his ego OR he wins by camping all the time because people often tend to sneak around the hook for minutes instead of doing generators.

I got camped by a Leatherface first hook as well a couple weeks ago and every survivor stopped doing gens and just watched me dying on the hook for 2 minutes straight. That's when/why camping works unfortunately.

Is it wrong to be mad at something?

Everyone gets mad over something as trivial as a video game. It's just natural I guess. If you can't manage to calm down after a couple minutes however you're obviously at a point where you should consider taking action in reducing the stress factor which in your case is Dead By Daylight.

Just take a break for a while like many people do (including me). As for toxicity dbd is just like other online games. If game mechanics allow people to annoy each other then people will annoy each other.

Currently I'm playing Red Dead Redemption 2 online and people won't let you do anything at times and kill and harrass you till you switch to another lobby because "iT's ThE wiLd wEsT!".

That's just how people are I reckon.

  • Just take a break. I reckon most dbd veterans play sporadically.

    Can I ask a question? (I'mma ask anyways :P)

Besides basements and hook rescues, when does a Leatherdaddy ever actually hit more then one person?

When survivors don't split up at gens immediately:

  • Playing survivor is more frustrating to me as a solo player.

  • Why do you even care about a random number on your comments?

  • Can't believe you've stolen Burger King Myers' crown!

  • About everything is op to new players as they typically don't even understand that they have to repair gens in order to get a chance to escape.

  • We really are living the era of clickbaiting, aren't we?

  • I thought people would merely have to "remember him" (hence his perk "remember me") in order to fuel his power.

  • *cough* when an Instasaw-Billy acts like someone else was sweaty *cough*

  • Maybe I'm just lucky but I had many survivors message me gg recently even though I 4k most of the time. Perhaps it's because I meme a lot and give survivors a chance if I notice they're not doing too hot.

  • @SlinkyJinky said:

I'm not entering the dogfight about whether Billy is OP or not. But one thing I do't understand is this: most killers don't have an instadown, and they're slow (yes, 115% is quite slow). Yet this particular killer is both very fast, AND he has an instadown. Funny, since high mobility by itself is the best thing a killer can have.

Can we please take one of these from Billy and give it to Clown? Pretty please?

If I ever see a Clown running at me with 230% like Hillbilly I'll die laughing ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • If it ain't broke don't fix it.

  • @skywir01 said:

Atleast he needs to cordinate his chainsaw

but leather is just swinging his chainsaw like an idiot

Using Leatherface's chainsaw is easily just as difficult (or easy?) as Hillbilly's chainsaw. I main(ed) both of them to the point of absolute perfection. Leatherface requires more environmental awareness (as he can hit objects that aren't even inside the screen) to avoid the long stun whereas Hillbilly requires more anticipation as he works more like a bullet.

Countering Hillbilly and Leatherface is pretty similar. Stick close to windows and pallets and you're fine for the most part and (obviously) make sure you get fast vaults. Those two core elements basically disable Leatherface's chainsaw (unless it's me due to my build).

  • With the grind still growing one chapter at a time double bloodpoints should in fact be base. Everyone who thinks otherwise has too much time on their hands.

  • It depends on what you're looking for. I used fast charge addons with a strong combined cooldown during that particular game which allowed me to spam the chainsaw all the time giving me huge map pressure whereas Hillbilly's speed-addons (death- and doom engravings) are way better for chainsaw flicking as combining them results in a 310% movement speed which makes it nearly impossible to dodge the chainsaw attack if you chainsaw-flick around corners/pallets/other map structures.

@Yamaoka that's scary. Not even gonna lie, that's terrifying that a Billy on Xbox can do that. I thought I was the only one. Have you faced a SecretSphinx7 by any chance?

@Poweas I think I haven't seen that gamertag before. Is he an EU player?

And yes, I can tell people are often surprised when I start chainsaw flicking around objects because it's kind of difficult to do it precisely with a controller haha.

  • @BlazeNightash said:

Only thing skilled on billy is driving him long distances. But most people just run up and insta saw. Driving him takes a lot of practice, unless you use turning add ons to help

That's literally the only thing that doesn't require any practice whatsoever. The only thing that takes ages to master is chainsaw flicking around pallets and stuff like I did here @ 4:17

    https://youtu.be/pFlFw8BZZXU

Other than that there's nothing to learn about Hillbilly.

  • That's ironworks of misery (correct me if I'm wrong) which has an infinite loop to left side of this picture (not visible in the picture), usually a strong pallet loop behind the player who took the picture, a jungle gym or even two to the right of this picture etc.

This picture merely shows the mid section of the map which can be easily avoided.

Also in that picture it's 2 gens left and 3 survivors so the game couldn't have been one sided due to that dead zone.

  • Dead zones exist which is intended just like some generators are supposed to be in more risky places for instance so you can choose wether to go for a high priority generator or a generator that's in a safe spot but won't split up the remaining generators just to name a sample.

As for general dead zones with no generators: You're quite simply not supposed to stay there for longer than necessary and you can always run sprint burst so you have some sort of "dead zone protection".

If maps consisted of 100% safe zones - who'd want to play killer then?

If survivors play optimally you have to go through pallets and stuff till you catch them. If they had a whole map of pallets and windows with absolutely no dead zones good survivors could win without giving the killer a single hook.

  • Leatherface main here (been maining him for a total of about 1 year).

In my opinion he needs a slight buff to his movement speed "while revving his chainsaw" and "during his chainsaw attack" but that's about it. Other than that he's fine in my book.

EDIT: Leatherface's chilli addons need to be fixed/buffed/reworked, too. Right now they have no impact on the game whatsoever except for the negatively long stun duration of award winning chilli.

  • EDIT: Nevermind the video was edited making it seem like gens popped that quickly.

what a load of bullshit. if thats what we get i also demand that we also know what kind of killer a player is using.

the killer not being able to see survivor's items is fair

So are killers supposed to use item related perks such as "franklin's demise" or "overwhelming presence" randomly without knowing if someone even brings an item? Cmon now...

  • @Judith said:

    Diversion.

@Judith Do you remember any particular situation where it changed the outcome of your game?

@Boss Thank you for bringing the devour hope love, I too do the pretend it's not there style and I had a "the stars have aligned" match where it was extremely well hidden, I was on Lery's as Myers and the game went from genrush to slaughter as soon as it went off.

@Yamaoka I did think initially PWYF was really situational but I tried it on a spirit the other night and it was AMAZING I was completely surprised, I guess trying it on a Mikey eons ago when first starting out made it look worse but I can definitely see the potential in it now.

@kiskashi I know right? PWYF is really underrated for what it does as soon as you find your obsession. I've just played a game against rank4 SWF and my ruin got cleansed right away before I even had 1 hook. So I played the whole trial with 3 perks.

After losing my gens left and right I found my obsession and things turned around pretty quickly. I got my 3 tokens, downed/hooked my obsession, ran straight to the other gens @ 2 tokens (125%), downed the next survivor just as quickly as they mess up really bad since they don't expect you to go so fast.

My obession got unhooked while I hooked the other survivor so back to my obsession I went @ 1 token (still 120%). Found him and another survivor. Got my tokens back and repeated the process till I won just before they were able to rush the last generator.

Basically PWYF allows you to snowball almost like a Hillbilly or Nurse IF you get lucky enough to find your obsession multiple times throughout the trial.

I will definitely keep that perk in my build. I also like how healthy it is in terms of game design. You get rewarded for not tunneling/camping your obsession and due to your overall speed you never feel forced to tunnel or camp because people are much easier to find and down if you go so fast.

Really an awesome perk and well designed. Hopefully the devs will come up with more good stuff like this.

  • That's why I dislike Shelter Woods. The map is simply too dark causing any survivor to completely disappear when sitting in the tall grass.

  • If I had the ability for one day I'd probably be too scared to pee. Wouldn't want to zap my little killer accidentally. ๐Ÿ˜‚

A Let me die button? We already have this. It's called trying to get the 4%. If you're in 2nd stage, just don't struggle... BOOM you're dead!!!

I've already said the guy who worked with the killer wouldn't let me suicide on hook. He and the killer stood next to the hook farming me before I was able to do anything.

Do you play on PS4 ? Because I had a similar match. If it was on PS4, what surv it was ? I mean Claudette, Feng, Dwight.. ?

I'm on XBOX1. Apparently those killer couples are more frequent lately. Probably because some people can't rank up the fair way.
