  • I bought Legion with money. Can't say I regret it. Legion is fun to play but people insult you all the time for doing so. Just be ready for the salt.

No... I'm sick of KiLLaH Mainz trying to make this an M1 simulator.

Make Ruin a basekit for Killers... but don't sit there and try to compare the gen pop to the 86 hour a week players from overseas.

I like how members of this forum call me a survivor main AND a killer main depending on the thread.

  • It's 3 days before rank reset and you're still yellow/green ranks which means you don't play enough to be able to judge the overall state of the game. Not hating just stating.

  • @jordirex said:

Well a very well played Huntress can match billy and even be better. It also depends on the map, and the map rng

I don't know... Huntress was the first killer I mained when I got the game (over 1 year ago). I remember I would get tons of crazy shots but people would still gen rush me easily because it takes so long to cross the map and if you check on the wrong generator you've basically lost so much time you might as well give up against survivors who bring fast toolboxes.

Most of the time survivors can counter her hatchets by crouching behind objects and she loses so much speed while winding up, holding, throwing and recovering from the throw, too.

Also I remember fully charged hatchets would often go right through survivors without connecting robbing you of successful hits.

I fail to see how she as strong as Billy but I guess she's way more efficient on PC.

  • @Poweas said:

Spirit is way better than Billy, and Hag is basically the same, her map pressure is just as off the charts insane as his. Only difference is, she chases slightly better than Billy and her ability is to spread pain, whereas Billy can just instadown people right there. Hag is comparable because while she can't instadown them, she can injure them when they're across the map from each other, and down at least 1. They're basically equal.

Are there any "god spirit" players who don't just use her strongest addons to grab survivors at gens but actually use her ability to end chases quickly? Would like to watch some footage of a god spirit to compare the chases to a chainsaw-flicking Billy.

  • @GrootDude said:

Although I agree with Chaotic riddle, @OP you forgot spirit and hag. :)

True. These two make you actually feel like a true killer as well but still. Hillbilly makes me feel like there's no way I could ever possibly lose. You just zoom across the map and even if you bump into every wall like a drunk dude you still down people even by accident haha

actually u r just an ideologist, I've play walking killers for more that 1200hours, if humans all skillful, 4 runs or 3 runs absollutely . but easy for nurse with only 30hours. I can do 4 kills every round except for particular maps. so nurse is a good killer or bad?

What are you trying to say?

  • @harry14141414 said:

    killers don't need buffs lmao

Yes they do. A good team can finish all gens regardless of ruin in about 4-5 minutes. A good survivor can get chased for minutes no matter how good the killer plays and mindgames. How is a killer supposed to get 12 hooks under these circumstances? Watch some korean devotion 10+ players and you will see just how wrong your comment is.

I notice it all the time. People go down like nothing yet the gens pop so quickly they almost make it out of the gates just because they can press one button. The devs need to make gen repair longer - period. I will main Hillbilly till they add some time to the gens.

  • Are you trying to say Myers is as strong as Hillbilly?

  • I played 13 games today and ruin never lasted more than 30 seconds which means all those survivors were searching for a whooping 16 seconds. Totally worth a perk slot - not.

In ALL OF THOSE GAMES the survivors spawned near my totem and I spawned on the other side of the map. That's just plain bs.

Ironically I played my last game without ruin as Hillbilly and suddenly all those survivors managed to finish only one single generator. Makes me think ruin is more than just useless. It's literally a waste of time as you have to check on it since most of the time someone spawns next to it.

  • 28 stab wounds!

  • Korean SWF teams usually beat Plague in like 4 minutes because they ignore the fountains so it's obviously the most efficient way to face her. Basically they turn the game into a 4-man no mither squad vs a Trapper without traps.

  • Hahaha wait you serious? The base movement speed of most killers is 110% and 115%. You want a 20% reduction in movement speed for killers - "AT LEAST"? 90-95% is slower than a floating nurse and 10-5% slower than survivors πŸ˜‚

You realize strong survivors can finish all generators in like 5 minutes and a good looper can distract the killer for up to 2+ minutes, don't you? And all survivors get 3 chances to survive which means killers need a total of 12 hooks to kill all 4 survivors.

Now tell me how that's supposed to be possible if the killer moves like a turtle. You are OBVIOUSLY new to the game so take your time, learn the mechanics and how this game works and soon you will realize that killers actually need a speed buff - (almost) ALL OF THEM.

  • Bodyblocking the killer to stop him from chasing / downing an injured survivor in the early to mid game is toxic in opinion.

I'm not talking about tunneling but just regular chases.

It really grinds my gears when I chase someone at the start of the game and just before I manage to get that second hit someone squeezes in between and stops me while another survivor pops my ruin (happened exactly like this last time I played Doctor).

That's one of the reasons why I rarely play "m1 killers".

Flashlights and tbagging can be annoying as well but these things usually don't trigger me as hard as bodyblockers. The killer should always be a threat and not just "sometimes".

  • I mean... It wasn't that bad. Some of their insults were fairly creative to be fair haha

  • 10+ minutes is nothing. I created a thread a while ago about the saltiest SWF team ever who messaged me for 1 full hour and when I finally told them I'll block their profiles they started messaging me with secondary profiles.

  • The better question is: Why do survivors spawn next to the ruin AND together while the killer spawns on the other side of the map resulting in 3 perk games all the time?

  • Honestly there's nothing that would possibly make me dc. People who dc take this game wayyyyy too serious. If I get destroyed I just take the L and move on.

Actually I "sort of" got destroyed yesterday. I hooked survivors left and right like every 30 seconds give or take but they still got all gens done (thanks to brand new part, multiple toolboxes and prove thyself) so quickly I only got 2 kills. One of them messaged me "gg ez baby killer" (even though I didn't camp or tunnel) which means people are salty even if they win. So why would I rage quit when I can win even with 0 kills? I win by simply not DC-ing. πŸ˜‚

Besides I need to depip every now and then otherwise I can't find a game so I don't mind getting rekt right now 😁

  • The thing is you still pip too easy as killer making it inevitable to get to rank 1 unless you're doing nothing all game. I'm actively trying not to pip by camping at least one survivor per game which reduces emblem scores and by giving the last survivor the hatch etc. yet I'm at red ranks again. Meanwhile it's almost impossible to pip if you play solo survivor. As a result you got tons of red rank killers and tons of green rank survivors causing long queues.

This bug has been reported, and a fix is on the way. Since its a game breaking bug that can be exploited by Legion players, they can be reported/softbanned for intentionally taking advantage of it. Word is out about this bug, and has been blasted on streams, and posted all over reddit, so players who use it have had fair enough warning.

Players are not responsible or expected to gather information about bugged addons and thus can't get banned for using them. Some people play tons of different games. Are you trying to say it's their job to know about every bug on every game? No, it's not their responsibility but the developer's.

  • It's not camping when the gates are open.

Suicide on the hook and find a match with a killer that's fun to play against.

If everyone does this against Billy pretty soon Billy players will be playing killers that are fun to play against such as Trapper.

That's not how human psychology works.

Suicide on hook = easy win = positive experience = killer thinks he's a god and will keep doing everything the same way.

I never understood the complaints about this. Hex perks are supposed to be a gamble. They're EXTREMELY powerful, but they have the added risk of being destroyed. You gamble with it being out in the open, or in a very remote hidden spot. That's how it's supposed to be. I'm sorry you can't have your op perk the whole match, but that's not how it's supposed to work. (before I get comments about it:YES totems are meant to be OP, but they're not seen as such because they can be destroyed. But they are, in fact, more powerful than the average perk).

Ruin is not even op AT ALL. Good survivors hit great skillchecks all day long (including myself) which means it only affects bad survivors in the first place. So if it only affects bad survivors I want it to do so EVERY GAME not just 1 out of 10.

  • @deathsia said:

I'm just going to fuicking leave every match if ruin gets cleansed before i hook at least one survivor. I've fuicking lost already if I haven't.

Not necessarily. Today I've played nothing but Legion and tested multiple builds. One game I spawned on the other side of the map and when I was just about to finally see my totem a Nea destroyed it right in front of me.

Still got my 4k. The only thing ruin changes is my behaviour. If they cleanse it right away I tunnel everyone off the hook and proxy camp all the time even if all of them run decisive strike. If I get a few hooks before ruin pops then I'll play fair. So basically if survivors find and cleanse my ruin immediately thanks to bad map design they ruin their own game as it forces me to play "dirty".

  • Stop complaining about complaining!

  • The devs used to say:

"there shouldn't be a place where survivors feel absolutely safe"

Yet there's braindead infinite loops that take less skill than playing Legion. I don't blame survivors for using them - I blame the map design for allowing braindead looping.

    @Yamaoka

I agree on the addon buffs/reworks, but... if your definition of fine is one of the worst killers in the game, then you might need to be a bit pickier lol

I usually 4k easily as Leatherface so it's kinda difficult for me to consider him weak even though most people think he's a joke. But then again most survivors make horrible mistakes allowing me to chainsaw them all the time even after thousands of hours. I see so many former red rank survivors hiding in corners which is a big no no when versing instadown killers.

  • The only thing he needs is addon buffs/reworks. I think his chili addons should increase his movement speed while charging the chainsaw as the acceleration is barely noticable.

Award winning chili: 110% movement speed while charging the chainsaw

This will allow him to mindgame pallets and catch up with his chainsaw making him a real threat even near loops.

Other than that he's absolutely fine in my opinion.

  • I've decided not to play 50/50, due to the obvious, recent bias towards survivors from the devs' side, so here I am - a mighty survivor main, with my MoM, DS, BT/DH, SC build.

None of these perks have any impact on me. FeelsBubbaMan.

  • I'm a Leatherface main so:

    - Borrowed Time

    - Mettle Of Man

    - Self Care

    - Instaheal

    - Bodyblocking to protect team mates

etc. Is useless against me. I did double chainsaw someone a few games ago when someone rushed into my basement. First hit activated Borrowed Time, second hit sent him right back into the basement. Oof.

  • I'm getting insta lobbys and had loads of SWF teams. Had nothing but wins again. Why would I cry about the patch? Because of perks that have 0% impact on my games? 🀷

  • Because he's licensed

  • People complain about harassment while harassing this guy who's almost a child. What he's done:

    - used exploits: So did most dbd players at some point who have thousands of hours.

    - harassed some of his fans: By asking for nudes? Woow big deal.

    - acted toxic in dbd: So do most players. Toxic players existed before he was even known.

Can't wait for someone to call me a fanboy when I'm merely someone who doesn't jump on the hate train as easily as others.

  • I used to feel stress when I was relatively new to the game. Nowadays I just feel either fun or boredom depending on how sweaty people play.

  • According to the devs the Entity feeds on strong emotions - seemingly on hope (survivors) and anger (killers) in particular which is why a game between life and death is just about the most efficient way for the Entity to grow stronger efficiently. The Entity also appears to be unable to kill by itself for unknown reasons.

Quote: "It does not seem to be dangerous in itself." - B. Baker

So apparently the Entity is able to form and interfere with its own realm to a small extent (blocking windows and the gates) but that's about it.

Who knows how strong it will become in the future, though? Perhaps Dead By Daylight will have a major plot twist in about 5 years when the game's last DLC comes out.

  • I see what you're saying but honestly it's not that simple.

Even optimal survivors can lose to a mid tier killer such as the pig depending on the pig's build, map, map layout, their spawn location, your spawn location (I usually have better games if I spawn next to my totem because I don't waste time checking on it and also it doesn't get found as quickly), helmet rng in case of the pig etc.

Winning is not all about skill but also a matter of luck to some degree.

  • When did ranking ever reward a player?

  • Do you want maps to look like this?

    in FOG Comment by Yamaoka
  • Personally I think his chilli addons need a rework. Instead of affecting his acceleration (which is barely noticeable) it should make his movement speed faster while revving the chainsaw.

While revving the chainsaw his movement speed currently drops to 87% as most people know.

Good survivors take advantage of this and often circle back to Bubba so if you look down for a split second they'll run straight away again causing you to lose enough distance to lose the chance of getting a successful hit.

His movement speed shouldn't drop below 100% while revving the chainsaw as it doesn't allow you to mindgame pallets.

His Chilli addons should increase his movement speed while revving the chainsaw to more than 100% allowing him to actually use his chainsaw against good survivors.

Award winning chilli: 110% movement speed while revving the chainsaw

Normal chilli: 102% movement speed while revving the chainsaw

Both chilli addons stacked: 112% while revving the chainsaw.

    What do you think?

Imagine this version of award winning chilli combined with beast's marks. Bubba would be a real threat all of a sudden.

  • Only thing I noticed is the game runs a lot smoother for me (XBOX1) since the latest update albeit I still experience occasional lag spikes.

  • I've mained 4 killers so far over the course of a year:

    1) Huntress

    2) Doctor

    3) Leatherface

    4) Hillbilly

Right now I'm maining Leatherface again because of his unique AOE (Area Of Effect). His chainsaw attack is appealing to me even though it's a joke compared to Billy.

I'm planning to give Legion a shot soon when I got all the perks I need for them.
