One of my friends plays a blendette. But she's one of these rare blendettes, who are actually useful during the game. She is not good at looking back during chases so she prefers the stealthy playstyle. And it works, even against red rank killers.
Usually when she starts to laugh in discord, we know the killer completely missed her by an inch.

Get more Survivors to P3 and use different perk builds on them.
For example: I have Dwight with teamoriented Perks for SWF games and I have Zarina and Meg for Solo queue times.

Swf can designate teammates to go save. Solos should have a similar system.
Would be solved if Kindred was basekit.
But i just thought about something else, did you by any chance play Apex Legends? They have a great ping system for everything. You don't need to talk to your random mates, just ping the location you want to go or where the enemy is, stuff like that. It's simple and works fine. But how to balance it for DbD.. well that's not my job :D

A totem counter wouldn't buff swf. A chase indicator wouldn't either. A camping indicator and a hook coordination system wouldn't either. Do you disagree?
Totem Counter: Should be put into Small Game.
Or just another idea: Once ALL totems are cleansed, a loud notification is played for everyone.
Chase indicator: 0 problems with that, even though it takes a bit of the thrill out of the game. If there is a stealth killer and I know someone is getting chased, I can stop caring about my surroundings. But I see that SWF can completely negate that fact, so sure why not.
Camping indicator: Kindred basekit and problem solved.
Hook coordination: I don't know, what you mean. How many times a survivor has been hooked?
-
Solo needs some QoL buffs. But the problem is, everytime you buff solo survivors, you buff SWF, too. So for every solo buff, there needs to be a killer buff somehow.
Duo-Swfs are fine.
It's the 3 or 4 man groups that (if they are halfway decent) that will shift the balance into their favor.
-
Around 500 hours. Maybe a bit more for the killer side, because survivors are just skins.
That's enough to unlock the useful stuff and have a good understanding of how the game works.
But you have to play both sides. It's fine if you are a red rank survivor after 500 hours but only at green ranks as killer. A lot of problems in this game can be reduced to "I made a mistake and the other side took advantage of it", if people would just play both roles.
And if you get to red ranks as solo. Here have my applause.
It's funny if you look at the skill level at high ranks. I see people running straight lines against my nurse or survivors hiding in lockers during feral frenzy as legion. After these kind of games I check the profiles and see sometimes "300 hours playtime" and most of the achievements are survivors. Usually they are in SWF, too.
You even see killers who will chase you for 3 Gens and then accuse you of genrushing instead of changing the target.
The ruin "rework" sorted out a lot of bad killers in red ranks. I'm interested to see if the loop "rework" will do the same to survivors.

You can't do all 5 totems alone if you have 3 potatoes in your teams. But biased killer mains will always deny it because they don't know sh!t.
I fail to see the reason why potato teammates are the killers fault.
-
- Small Game has a build in totem counter and gives a small passive for cleasing totems. Maybe +1% Action Speed per Totem up to 3%?
- Brown bag addon for Trapper is now basekit.
- Perks which influence others (Leader for example) give you bonus bp for every action they perform. (Some cleansed a totem while being buffed by your leader -> Gain 25% of the bp in the associated category)
-
Survivors: We are tired of facing the same killers everytime.
*Killer plays a a Killer who is out of his comfort zone and gets demolished*
Also Survivors: GG ez bby killer. lul trash at red ranks.
-
I escape most of the times. Can't say if its gates or hatch. Depends on how the round went. I focus mostly on gens and totems.
It sounds harsh but I don't expect much from my random mates. If it's necessary that someone needs to be left behind or needs to die, so be it.
Sometimes I just facepalm at my mates, once someone is hooked they lose all common sense and go straight for the unhook which leads to another hook for the killer. Red ranks btw.
With the challenges I try to focus on them. If I die, I don't care if I finished the task. :)
-
The logs unlocked for me, after restarting the game 2 times.

Change it to "Every X seconds you get 1 Hatchet back".

This is going to be super simple.
Forums Intellectuals "The game is hugely survivor sided. All killers do is get bullied and gen rushed".
Statistics at red ranks show that your team is most likely to lose at least 2-3 survivors a game. I don't know how you can come to the conclusion based on this that it is survivor sided.
So If i facecamp 2 Survivors, i have a 50% Kill Rate. Throw in an over altrustic Survivor. 75% Kill Rate.
Another example: Some survivors just throw themselfes at the hook. Do you know that i had rounds where I barely safety pipped even though i got a 3k or 4k? I just got completely outplayed and defended my last hook during endgame and the survivors decided to hookrush instead of leaving.
So tell me again, how killrates show hat the game is only killersided.
-
You have some unpopular opinions, which seem to polarize a lot, but that's okay.
I'm in the same boat as you with some of your opinions.
I even enjoy chases against Nurses, because i don't have to run in circles and drop the pallet in the right moment.
And looking at these forums.. being loud isn't an indication of being right.

Object is a hardcounter to half of the killers and medium against stealth killers. It's just like: "I can take a mori and 4k with legion." Yeah, doesn't push legion to S tier.
Anyway, maybe there's a way to increase freddys skillfloor while keeping or even increasing his skillcap?
Just a quick thought: Maybe give Survivors a chance to wake up during a chase?

- Pick Wraith and go into corner.
- Tab out of the game and watch some cool youtube videos.
- ?????
- Profit.

I will tunnel the survivor out of the game, if I feel the DS was undeserved.
Example: I chased and hooked another survivor during the time you got unhooked and started to repair a gen and I found you again.
I don't use it as a survivor, because it's pretty rare that I get tunneled of the hook. Why should I waste a perk slot for it, if I can't use it? And even then, I wouldn't use it. There are more useful perks for me.
-
Depends on the killer I'm playing.
But mostly the same as you. Check how they play and if they are toxic. Then decide what to do.
And if they are unhooked and I can't find anyone else.. well you put a big X on yourself, don't complain about tunneling.

Do you know why they replaced this? I read this post and thought it would be a much more simplified way of ranking and agreed with it other than it would likely lead to all killers becoming red ranks.
I thinks it's because of interaction between Killer and Survivors.
Otherwise you could just facecamp 2 survivors for a safety pip. Or you could even pip because some survivors will just get overaltruistic instead of doing gens.
Or you get a Doublepip for a round where you played horrible as a killer but a tiny mistake from the survivor side gave you an oppurtunity to kill them all. You win, but did you deserve a double pip? Not really.
-

I played Dota 2 over 3k hours, so I know what toxicity is. But DbD put that stuff on another level.
As long as toxicity is praised you can't do much against it. I have 0 problems with a little banter during the game or in the endgamechat but slurs and deathwishes are not excuseable.
Some people even excuse their behaviour. I asked one of those toxic people if he is like that in real life. His answer was, that it wasn't my concern how he is in reallife and he can treat people like he wants to online. I was baffled by this answer.
Closing the endgamechat and disabling comments on my profile was the best way to give those kind of people 0 room for their poison. Sadly you can't report, what you can't see.
So I'm a bit between both sides. On the one side I want to report those kind of players, hoping they get a long timeout. One the other hand im just tired of getting insulted for whatever reason.
Getting mad because you lost a game is totally understandable and sometimes you just write stuff to vent a bit. But there is always a line which shouldn't be crossed.

Perks I use on her:
- BBQ
- Nurses Calling
- Whispers
- Iron Maiden (gotta love fast reloads)
But you might change one of them for Pop goes the Weasel or another genslowing Perk.
Well for tips. I think it's better to watch some Main Huntresses like Umbra or Ralph.
But i generally try to bait survivor with faking a hatchet throw, so they use Dead Hard or run straight into an object while I just cancel the animation and swing the big axe at them.
Hitboxes are 50:50 with her. Either you get hits you didn't deserve or one pixel blocks your whole Hatchet. Just accept that.
Reloading during a chase can be a good idea.
If you have problems with aiming, some monitors have the option to make a crosshair in the middle of your screen.
I don't play her that much, so I guess others can help with more tips :)

I hope you all stay safe and healthy during this time <3

It might have been 1 gen left, I don't remember all that well. And I'm pretty sure the hatch spawns at two gens with three people left.
(Number of living Survivors) + 1 = Gens that need to be done for the hatch to spawn.
So 4 Gens need to be done if 3 Survivors are remaining.
-
Dark cosmetics already give you a little edge on dark maps.
We don't need stats boosts, which is literally p2w.
-
A 4 man swf (all with DS) complained that I slugged to avoid the perk. It was pretty obvious with the locker baits and straight unhook attempts that they were running DS.
They told me it's a perk and part of the game. I told them playing around the perk is part of the game, too.
They didn't understand. :/

My main wish for the future of Dead by Daylight is for the community to be better, to have little to no toxic players.
But how to achieve that? Toxicity is praised in some parts of the community. And I don't have the feeling that the devs do anything to promote a healthy community.
-
Looking at the ingame community, i literally can't remember really outstanding good memories.
If I look at the cosplay community of dbd, it's the total opposite.
But as I moved the point nearly full to the left, I just thought about the ingame community and not the community as a whole, otherwise the my point would be straight in the middle.

Maybe it could be map dependent. Size of map determines the amount of meters you need to be away.
If nobody is near the unhook during end game I don't see the issue with it still being slower.
And If you hook someone near an opened exit gate?
-
How would that work on small maps? There would be no slowdown at all.
@Cheers said:
The main problem with this is now killers could abuse it instead. They see it's going down at a normal speed? They're going to camp now.
The best change I can think of is if the killer is within 16 meters, and isn't in a chase, the timer goes down by 50%. Can't be abused by survivors or killers.
Seems fine, but should deactivate during endgame.

If you happen to be a new player it's really hard to get better at the game if you're never allowed to get back into it upon being hooked. And only looking out for yourself is a really bad way to play as a team.
Play killer or go into a Kill your Friends lobby and practice.
And it's not wrong to play only for yourself. If someone needs to die so the others can escape, so be it.
-
@SweetTerror said:

There needs to be something in place though. There's nothing more frustrating than knowing that you ended a match with a meager 5000 blood points or less because the killer never left your side, whereas the killer still walked away with 25,000 bloodpoints.
Sorry but if the killer gets 25k points for camping, that's the survivors fault. Do gens and leave instead of feeding the killer points.
-
Yep, finally can play Clown or Wraith without getting absolutely stomped.
And new Tome, hooray!
-
Survivors:
Don't last second switch from Babydwight to P3 Claudette with Clicky Clicky.
This is a free invitation to get tunneled and camped :)
For both sides:
Enjoy the silly moments.
For the endgamechat: If you have nothing nice to say, be quiet.
Once someone is toxic, everything is allowed.
-
The time to learn and understand the power.
Trapper : Pick up trap and put it down. Easy to understand.
Nurse: Calculating every blink and getting the muscle memory for the blinks takes some time. Hard to learn.
And giving characters passive would just shift the meta into the survivor with the best passive. And that's boring.
Survivors are just skins, so it's okay the way it is.
-
Old BNP was completely broken. You got an ez gen with 0 effort. They were hard nerfed for a reason.
Downing (and after the needed nerf hooking) someone, especially with weak M1 Killers, requires at least interaction from both sides.
-
Trapper & Hag because I'm getting paranoia from the traps.
-
Clown with either more bottles or faster reload.
Nurse recovery addons.
-
Survivors defending DC tech is the same as if Killers would defend lagswitching if the game is "unfun" for them.
-
There are 2 sides for this problem.
Survivors don't want to face toxic killers.
Killers don't want to face toxic survivors and play with a weak killer against a 4man SWF.
An "Avoid players" option would still be nice. Limit it to 10 People and a lot of problems were fixed.

2nd game: no toxic stuff, no gens done, put in basement and killer (myers) stood right infront of me i got one chance off hook but the killer just guarded the exit let the unhooker go and made sure he'll get me
3rd game, no toxic stuff, no gens done facecamped, i ended up dcing

False, most actual sports have sportsmanship...its literally in the name, bruh. Which is why trying to compare DBD to a sport, and Killers with no actual skills to legendary basketball players is a very dumb comparison. I don't know a lot of survivors who think they deserve something for nothing. Just a huge community of survivors who believe they deserve an opportunity to play the game, which they are robbed of when cheap, ######### killers camp and tunnel them to death, like #########. I'm not telling anyone how to play for my experience, I'm telling the OP what to expect when they exercise their right to play like a total #########. If you don't want to get people bowing out of your match early and giving you an earful in post-game chat - don't play like a ######### tool. If that doesn't bother you, then by all means, you do you booboo. But don't expect to get to play like a ######### and then get a "GG" at the end of match, when you very specifically went out of your way to ensure it wasn't, in fact, a good game for anyone but you. :) I'm sure, with your killer avatar, that you care deeply about your survivor matches. [/sarcasm] But to be clear, I never expect a "nice" killer either, just someone who a modicum of skill to play a fair and challenging game without resorting to lazy tactics that ruin someone else's match and doesn't help them progress - either their skill level or their pts/rank. :)
Yeah deaththreats and slurs are totally fine, just because the survivors didn't have fun. /s
-
How do you even get 8k Points in Sacrifice while camping? Did she hook everyone 3 times or was it endgame?

@PlantCollector said:
I think your idea isn't bad, but i don't think a lot of players would like it. If you can only mori people on death hook, it's sometimes more efficient to just hook them because it takes less time than a mori animation. Im not a fan of mori's, but some people usually use them to get an advantage. The option to only mori people on death hook kinda makes it unnecessary to use them.
I would change it this way:
Ebony Mori = Grants the ability to kill one survivor who has been hooked by your hand.
Ivory Mori = Grants the ability to kill one survivor by your hand, after you have hooked a total of 4 survivors.
Cypress Mori = stays the same.
3 Survivors can still escape if they play well and still have at least a chance to survive. This may not be fun for the survivor who's getting mori'd, but at least the rest of the team can still perform well. Also it would make perks like devour more unique, because you can't mori more than one person with a mori offering. (Just my Thoughts/opinion)
So the kill 4 Survivors achievement is only possible with Myers or 5 Stack Devour Hope?
-
Well, I'm curious, when did the killer started to camp/tunnel?
Did you do toxic stuff?
Were all gens done?
Did your mates went for braindead saves?
-
Both sides are toxic. But you need 4 survivors and 1 killer. For every 4 toxic survivors you get 1 toxic killer.
I just closed my chat for now, since I have the feeling reporting does nothing. There is no feedback like in Dota 2 where you get a message if someone you recently reported got punished.
-
What about the "Save X Survivors during Endgamecollapse?" Tome Challenges?
And I don't think it's fun for the survivor side to get downed 5 Seconds after the last gen is done and to instantly die on first hook.
