They literally said base game changes are coming with these changes lmao.
Make slower gens base for the game and let's enjoy an actually fun chase meta hopefully.
-
Why are we acting like this is unique to the event?
As far as I can tell neither side is playing differently much it's just more annoying cuz of the event.
-
Killer is far deeper, rewarding and more interesting and it's so varied between all the killers it's fun seeing why people gravitate to the killers they do.
Survivor is what I play when I don't feel like trying and I enjoy it for that and can have fun playing survivor but it will never hold my attention the way killer does.
-
Well according to a number of players something something nurse exists so having a half dozen second chances against every single killer is okay.
Let's just hope that this changes with the mass perk rework.
-
Is the license pulled? Yes
Is Demo impossible to get? Not exactly, you can get chapter keys from 3rd party sellers but I probably can't name them here.
-
I think I'll be hard pressed to play anything other than mermaid mikaela for the foreseeable future.
Doll Dredge is also fantastic, there was a bit of a lull but I feel like the art team has been killing it lately. Even the moth skins are cool even if characters I don't play are getting them.
-
My guess is vault builds with lithe, resilience, spine chill and then either BT/DS will be the meta but this is pending what the changes to those perks are.
-
I will say if this does somehow get completed nobody is allowed to make a "lol DBD dead game" thread for at least another year.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but if it's capped and we can only do our contribution and nothing else that would require 750,000 individual players to do the challenge.
EDIT: Okay I saw the OP again and that's right. How many people does BHVR think are on consoles lol.

Can confirm, hag is free on console (I play console) but I don't use her as I rarely play killer. What of her perks are best?
Ruin is one of the best killer perks period and Devour Hope is a high risk high reward perk that can win you games on it's own if it stays up.
-
I mean I think waterfront massacre is the longest running cosmetic collection so I don't think BHVR disagrees with you tbh.
-
Meg has two of the best perks in the game same with Bill I don't think anyone can top those two for teachables.
For killers uuhhhh Billy I guess is okay with lightborn, enduring and tinkerer, I think I heard hag is free on console and if that's true it would be her for sure.
-
It's very ######### when you consider they announced the 40 perk rework during the anni stream before the ptb was even out.
What's the ptb even for at this point?
-
I feel like decreased gen speed is inevitable with the perks their nerfing, the killer perks chosen don't make sense otherwise.
Which like good, please make chase builds meta it would be way more fun.
-
I feel like chase one will go much faster but the skill check/kick one is a nightmare when skill checks are random and kicking can be suboptimal a lot of the time.
-
Stay strong, run infinitely more Chad perks like flashbang or for the people.
-
It's literally the only objective survivors have, it's a very silly term IMO.
-
They drawn to loud sounds so yes they're drawn to active gens and loud noise notifications.
Vision wise it's in a cone in front of them.
-
Survivors during the event: "Let's all have fun and be chill and farm BP :)"
Survivors the rest of the year: "GGEZ BB KILLER JUST UNINSTALL ALREADY *tbags at the gate and dead hards out*"
Yeah okay.
-
Don't lock every locker, when dredge goes to a double locker they get dragged to the locked one so lock one and if they break out lock the other one after.
Dredge makes a lot of slimy noises during nightfall when they're close listen for those.
If they try to antiloop with the remnant just leave the loop dredge is slow af when channeling it.
Never stay injured against dredge it charges their nightfall faster when you are.
-
I use BT and DS purely because I don't want to farm teammates or be farmed myself.
DH I don't use because it's an abomination that makes you worse at the game. I don't use exhaustion perks in general a lot of the time because they're not interesting to me and want room for creativity in my builds.
-
Dredge is perfect and if they get nerfed in any way due to baseless complaining I will be very very sad.
They did this with Cenobite and they took a killer that was mostly fair but had trouble getting people to main them and basically ensured they will remain in twins playrate territory forever.
-
Face camping for the sake of griefing is lame but confirming someone gets to second stage or dies is just necessary sometimes.
I don't like playing that way but when survivors can have 1,001 second chances you need to do something to balance that out in some way.
-
The idea that you would wanna take the social aspect out of a social activity is strange.
Just buff solos and killers to match swf rather than taking one of the most fun aspects of this game for people out.
I don't understand the demonization of SWF tbh yes there are grief squads and wannabe comp teams but most are just friends wanting to have fun with each other so just chill they're not out to ruin your lives smh.
-
Not a billy player so my only observations about Billy are
1. I think they're the most mechanically intensive killer to learn not nurse.
2. I don't think billy is anywhere near as "dead" as people suggest they're just not as fun to play anymore and that's almost worse.
-
Hag is widely considered to be the best user of Franklin's yes and it's not toxic it's smart when she gets countered by flashlights and even if there are no flashlights it's capitalizing on survivors over attachment to thier items.
If you don't care about items the Hag has 3 perks so seems like a fair trade although you could potentially make the argument that out of all killers hag needs perks the least but that's only for the like 12 actually good hag players that exist.
-
Mostly good list but I have a couple of spicy takes that disagree with some placements.
Bloodhound- I feel it's at least C tier because it counters Iron Will pretty well, I think it's too often seen as a "newb perk" that people don't consider it's practical applications.
Septic Touch- I know it's being written off already and I do get why but there's a build I'm testing that has decent results so far. Nurses/Fearmonger/Septic/Sloppy for always injured and always exhausted survivors seems to have potential as basically a giant DH counter but still need to play more games with it. Placement could actually be correct but I think it needs to be played with more to be sure.
-
Getting slugged in the middle of that game? Don't really care I don't mind chilling for a bit until I get picked up.
Getting slugged for 3 minutes because you wanna maybe 4k and the game basically already over is just wasting my time.
-
How many hours on the game did they have? Like 3?
-
Kill rates are the lowest they've ever been lmao.
-
Imagine complaining about one of the most fair killers in the game kek.
-
No, I don't think I will.
-
Straining your eyes in zero visibility doesn't stop it from being zero visibility.
-
Not surprising given what I know of the fighting game scene there. It's probably why they're generally better at games, they focus on getting better rather than complaining.
-
When you're low key kinda outclassed by brutal strength.
-
Lol
-
I love them plus I think they're meant to tip off survivors during nightfall.
-
Tapp
We grillin tonight.

It reminds me more of the Mannequin Monster from the Silent Hill 2 movie mixed with the Resident Evil 8 dolls.
Oh right that makes sense, I was thinking more of the one reborn.
-
Base design is decent but doll dredge is a bloodborne/RE Village hybrid masterpiece.
-
I think they mean crouch only ghostface
-
No it's not toxic but a lot of killers think it is for some reason because I've popped many gens in many killers face and I'll get camped when the killer never camped previously. They can hold them L's tho.
-
Dead Hard is the best perk survivors have bar none although my personal hot take is prove thyself deserves a spot in the top 5.
-
Absolute peak performance.
-
If someone doesn't make a compilation of sky billies with Angel by Sarah McLachlan in the background I'ma be real disappointed.
-
Maybe it's considered a bug when things work properly, would explain some things.
-
In a little bit I'ma bust outta lockers like "Gobble Gobble MFers".
-
It would be nice but I wouldn't blame BHVR if they were hesitant about it even if netflix offered considering they've been burned once before I'd probably try to negotiate for much stricter terms for the deal so netflix can't just pull out again the next time they feel like it, that alone probably makes it unlikely.
-
Bill, Hag, Plague, Twins, Clown, Demo, Slinger are the only ones I have P3'd and Trapper and Meg are almost there.
Although tbh I've kinda stopped and focus on maxing out perks instead. Mikaela for example I haven't prestiged but I have all the perks on her and like that much better I think.

Uh yeah. that's gonna be a pass for me. I just don't see how that could work.
Off the top of my head?
- A second AI raptor that you would have the ability to call to your location.
- A dash that after a few seconds would press the ability to have a jump usable over short loops.
- A hunter mode where footprints would be visible that last much longer than blood or scratch marks
- Lunge with it's hunting claw that cause deep wound that builds a meter the more instances of deep wound you get faster speed shorter radius and faster vault or something else but basically a meter build leading to something.
It could be something else though but would require more thought.
