First of all, this Forum is Survivor-sided.
See what i did there?
On topic: The new sabo is pretty balanced in solo queue. Not super easy to oull off, but with a sabo time of 2.5 seconds accessable for solos. In a coordinated swf thats another story...
Thank you for your response. You seem to understand what I am mostly saying. Yes I agree Sabo can be OP but for it to be OP it would take a situation like you described. It would need a SWF team out to only Sabo because any time I tried to break a hook either the killer just goes to another one and it is pointless or in a few cases the hook spawns RIGHT BACK and then I get hooked on the hook I broke. lol

90% of the time.
I did say that in my post.
The aura reading allowed me to quickly determine which hook the killer was travelling to, and once I broke it, I immediately ran to the next nearest hook I could see and break that too. Breakout guaranteed the survivor wiggled free.
That still seems like luck because most games I seem to be so far from the killer when my team goes down working on a gen on the other side that if I tried to run to a hook I for sure would not make it.
You sir must somehow happen to be near the killer or have some good luck to be in the right place at the right time. =)
I am happy it works so well for you.

I'm considering small game as well, or maybe Detective's Hunch... still have to decide which perks I should change for those though xD
I know, it's rather frustrating. It's good points still, even if the killer doesn't run NOED.
I like Small Game over the Detective Hunch because you do not need to finish a gen to make it work. You just walk around and it goes off and you know you are looking at a trap or totem. Yes you have to then find it but you know you are practically sitting on it then anyway. lol
With DH you have to finish a gen and then go looking but you do see the aura for a bit BUT still SG to me seems better because it is always active minus the like 15 second CD.

Spark of Madness. It came with the best character in DbD.
Do you only say that now because of his Rework and the fact he is I wont say OP but certainly much higher on the killer list than he use to be? lol
I mean had they asked this before the rework when people hated him do you think you would still like that DLC?
Sorry just asking because personally I like the Clown DLC and I know he is not the best killer but I liked the Clown from the start. I even liked the Doctor BEFORE the rework and now he is just crazy in a good way. rofl
I do not mean to question your DLC like and I am sorry. =(

Hello everyone!
With the change of Hex: Ruin I think we can all agree that the increased use of NOED is undeniable.
I was just wondering what you think is the best way to counter this? Do you break every totem you see and hope all five have been taken by your teammates (assuming you're playing solo), or do you memorize their location and go back and check on them once the last generator is one and NOED has been announced?
I'm wondering because I often find myself in a situation where NOED has been triggered but I can't find where the corresponding totem is placed.
What are your thoughts on this?
I normally run Small Game and go Totem hunting. It normally never works because my teams never seem to do gens OR totems so it makes it hard but that is normally what I try and do. =)
You are right though NOED has seen a huge rise in use. The sad part is survivors still have not learned to cleanse dull totems in most the games I played.

I play solo, and for the first time ever, sabo is now a viable, far too easy to use mechanic.
I experimented with BT, Breakout, MoM, Saboteur, and a toolbox.
I was able to successfully get survivors to wriggle free 90% of the time simply by using Sabo’s aura reading but using my toolbox to avoid the cooldown.
This is playing solo.
Could you imagine how infuriating this would be for a killer in a coordinated SWF?!?!
How often does this work for you?
I tried 2 games using toolboxes and all that happened to me was I sabo a hook the killer took the person to another hook and by the time she did that, the hook I broke was now back and I was placed on that hook.
I agree 100% about the SWF thing but something should be taken out because it COULD be used by a SWF squad? I understand that would suck but that 1 out of 200 games chance or whatever the odds are should not be what breaks what seems to be normal perks. SWF abuse many perks that in a normal Solo Que would be considered crap.

Well, two things:
First of all, this Forum is Killer-sided. Just open a Thread with "Killers are weak" and one with "Survivors are weak" and look at the responses.
Second, people here seem to base things of single games, rather than the majority of games. If in one game someone pulled off a Sabo-Move, they will open a Thread. But those 20 games where no Sabotage happened will be ignored. Its like Sabo Squads, sure, you might run into one, but this is like 1 in 200 games. And this is not even frequent, a 4 man SWF deciding to Sabo will not do this every game.
Like, for me, I have missed exactly one Hook because of Sabotage. I needed to drop the Survivor, needed to keep them slugged, they got picked up and I got my Hook later. Otherwise I usually got to another Hook.
And I have seen people going down while I was carried by the Killer in an attempt to sabotage the Hook... Resulting in the complete opposite - two Survivors down/hooked instead of one getting rescued because of Sabotage.
Sabotage (and Saboteur) are better, but not that strong. And this is good, because something which prevents one of the core mechanics of the game (putting Survivors on the Hook) should not be disabled easily.
TY! I love your response! I agree 100%!!!!
People(killers) judge based off one game out off 200. Then if you point out the fact it only happened once then the argument becomes, "Well the fact is it could happen".
I guess if anything CAN happen then it should just be taken out of the game by that logic. I mean in that case take out NOED because my team COULD miss a totem or take out BT because a survivor could rescue my hooked survivor and they COULD get away. lol

Yeah from time to time, i see a killer who just loves to stare at their victim. Do nothing else and just let gens get done and let everyone be until their current victim dies. It not even end game, where the gates are being open and the survivors have to make the choice between escaping or going back to save their team mate. It like they do it to the first person they find and just hand the win over to the others. That or everyone just kills themselves on hook, to get the game over and done with sooner. Thinking there is no hope.
I don't even mind the camping. I mean okay camp me and I will do my best to stay there as long as possible to let my team do gens. It is the part when they keep hitting or throwing up on me. Killers complain survivors T-bag but them doing that is the same thing. It is like them saying HAHA I GOT YOU!
I do have to say though I love the people that camp but then complain gens go to fast. It is like weeeelllll instead of camping me go apply pressure. If you had maybe not camped me maybe my team would have been able to leave a gen and save me instead of working on a gen. lol

Because it completely negates a killers ability to do their job. Sabotaging is something that should have never been introduced into the game. It is extremely frustrating for a killer to either outplay a survivor in a chase, or even just eventually catch them after getting looped forever only to have the hooks removed right in front of their face.
Imagine if the devs gave killers the ability to completely break down fully powered generators, what would the response to that be? It may not be as severe as that, but the emotion would be similar. Playing killer is stressful enough, add in sabo squads (that know what they’re doing) on top of everything they have to deal with, most would probably stop playing after a bit.
I literally removed the hook from the killer and she still had time to get to another hook and in that same time the hook I got rid of came back and she put me on it. I mean it is not nearly as bad as it use to be. I remember breaking hooks and they were gone for what seemed like forever. I mean the respawn rate on these hooks now are so fast it would take a team of smart SWF to use Sabo right and even then just go to another hook.
I mean don't killers have a way to break repaired gens? You just kick it right? It is kind of the same as the 30 second respawn on hooks now. The kick does about the same amount of damage then add Pop or one of those other perks, heck even as broke as Hex Ruin is if a survivor leaves the gen for even a small bit a ton of progress is undone.
I never complain anymore just FYI but just was wondering why Sabo is considered OP when I see killers pretty much at this point who even as two hooks gets broke can handle things. I think you are right though it may need to be used in the right setup with a SABO team but with the cooldown now being at a minimum 60 seconds, the respawn rate of hooks coming back so fast kind of balances it out now.
Thank you for sharing your opinion and input with me. =)

The more I view this dlc the more I realize it's probably the worst dlc in dbd soo far
Deathslinger- Fun killer to play as, but the most boring to go against, where nothing of him seems unique, since he looks like a typical npc from red dead redemption. His only unique aspect is his gun, and his leg, nothing else is unique about him, compared to the other killers. His power is horrible to go against since even if you do break the chain you still get to mend, would be fine if you got injured, but you also need to mend even if he doesn't hit you?
Deathslinger perks are some of the worst perks-
Gearhead works as Discordance but you are dependent on a skillcheck appearing, and even then you have a limited time for it to happen
Dead Man's switch- Works as a sort of thrilling threamours but it relies on hooking the obsession AND the survivors to stop fixing a generator, which to be honest would only happen if the generator is either half way or the survivor is desperated to go for the save
Hex: retribution - I am not even sure what even is the point of this perk, since for it to really work you would have to either be close to someone allready cleansing and wait for them to finish a totem, or simply using it against a survivor that is not paying attention
Zarina- Another boring looking survivor, nothing much unique about her, with some boring perks
Off the record- Literally iron will and distortion mixed together with the condition that you have to be unhooked and it only allows it to happen for over 1 minute
Red hearing- Works fine for the first time but after that the killer won't fall for it again, sure you can use it to bait the killer to a generator but pretty weak perk
For the people- Only decent perk this dlc, really strong if used correctly and can be broken at the end game
The map- looks amazing, too bad it's a small map, where everything is in the middle of the map, where everything around is empty without a single pallet, just bushes and cactus to hide on
Would love to hear your opinions on this, and remember this is just my opinion
lol I am not doing this to be mean but I laughed when you said the Deathslinger is not unique but then say sure his Gun and Leg are unique. =)
I am just a little confused as to why you think this is the most boring one. I personally think when it comes to new DLC killers as much as I love him the clown was probably the bottom. I personally love the new map and the new survivors perks are decent. I mean to each their own and thank you for sharing your opinion but I liked this DLC. I mean not my top pick but certainly not the worst. =)

Like seriously you come into a match with a purple flashlight and ooo and do nothing but t bag and flashlight click, who gets entertainment from others suffering ?
It is not just survivors that are toxic. In my past games I had a Plaque who hooked me and just faced camped me and kept throwing up on me. Then next match I had a face camping Spirit who kept hitting me while I was on hook and I did nothing at all. It wasn't like I did a great chase or we did many gens. We only had 2 gens done and both these killers just kept hitting me. I mean I do not like camping but repeat hitting someone on the hook is the same to me as survivors T-bagging.
I do not like either and will not do it myself. I actually root for my teammates when they do t-bag to get killed because I see no reason to be toxic.

Fair point, but if it’s start if the game and a gen pops in roughly 40-50 seconds you know two survivors did it. Assuming that the third survivor spawned at that other gen is an assumption I’m willing to make, by that point and with travel it’ll pop before you make it
You make a valid point as well. I guess every game is just a gamble. I hope you know I am not saying don't use NOED but I just personally don't because I feel there is other perks plus I hate to learn to rely on it. That is just me though. I think I used it once and honestly I almost never used Hex Ruin either. I just play the game with a complete care free attitude. I however though sometimes will let everyone go and just run around being funny. I just like to have fun even if it means I do not get a kill.
Just as a tip that I have learned from playing killer is if gen time is a problem the best option I have learned is to force the survivors to repair all but the few gens closes together. That way at the end game you can cover the normally last 3 gens in a few steps each. I have had games where the survivors probably think this is easy then end game look and I wish I could hear what they are thinking. I mean at that moment when they figure out they should have tried to do other gens instead of cornering themselves into a tiny spot is a great feeling. I typically end up at least letting one go though or two go. Killer can be super stressful and it is why I don't play it a ton.

Oh there are plenty of games I get outplayed hard, people who can loop me for minutes at a time depending on what killer I’m using... to those people I say kudos you’re better than me!!! I tell them so after game too.
Im talking about when I literally head to a gen and find a survivor on, so that’s QUICK, surprise them with Wraith so that’s QUICK, and then mind game them at the very first pallet to down them that is all QUICK. Meanwhile just from travel time and that small speed boost he got from first hit one gen popped and BBQ shows me one being worked across the map by one person so there is no point to travel there.
Well that one being worked on could have just been started or close to finish but you deciding not to try is not their fault. I mean there is always point to travel if you only see one gen being worked on why not go towards that one to TRY and delay it? If it is the only one you still have time but deciding it's to late or to far to try is on you. I would rather try then well look for others who are doing nothing at all. I normally run Pop Goes the Weasel so I hook and then I see a gen being worked on I run to it. If it pops at least I tried and I can then decide to try to get that survivor or just head to a closer gen near me.
I am not saying you are bad at the game at all because believe me I am horrible. I just think the whole not try because it is pointless part is hurting you.

First of all, doing gens is SO BORING, also gives most killers no time to do anything. I go for rescues, try to take the agro, do totems... so I'm productive, not as much as being gen rushing like the rest of the team, but at least don't hide in a corner. It's just a game anyway, if I die, who cares? if I live, who cares? I rather die and have fun than escape a 5 minutes match and waiting in queue for another 20 minutes.
There are some exceptions:
-If the killer is HB or spirit (I'm not scared of nurses and I try to get chased by them)
-If a person dies.
-If for some reason I know or suspect the killer has NOED, I try to pop the last gen when he's chasing someone injuried.
-If the match is boring and I just don't want to play anymore (like Doctor or Legion or Freddy)
Still rank 1... this game is SO easy for survivors.
Do you do that? do you stop doing gens if you feel like the killer is struggling to get hooks?
Maybe this is why I get stuck doing all the gens in my game only to be killed in the end? lol
I mean I understand your logic but even doing 1 gen helps the team. I mean unless you get ALL the totems, other than saves what did you do all game? What if there were no saves to be had?
I personally have moved onto other games and quit playing because not saying my teams have been like this but, I got tired of doing all the gens myself only to be killed and find teammates sneaking around and hiding, "looking for totems" only for them to escape and get the survivor points that I earned. lol
I also have to say if you are that bored why play? There has to be other games you can play that maybe give you the challenge you are looking for without hurting other peoples games to much. You could also play killer a little more often. =)
I am happy though that you are getting good teams to the point you do not have to do gens and can twerk around the map. lol I wish I had this luck and keep up the good luck of the team mate draw. =)

As a new doctor player i would say run calm spirit if you have it so you wont scream and dont rush the hook i like to static blast as soon as i hook to make sure its safe to patrol gens
Only problem with this idea is he would need to run Calm Spirit every game because you never know the killer until the match starts. He could end up running Calm Spirit and go against let's say Oni and then it would be kind of pointless maybe. I will say good tip on not rushing saves though. You are right about most Doctors zapping around the hook to see if anyone is close before they leave. =) You sir get an Up Vote! =)

i have been using NOED a lot lately on Deathslinger.
not because i "want ez end game kills" or anything (as many survivors love to claim), but because i literally dont have any better perks on him (my entire perk build is level 1 btw - and that hurts especially bad on Save The Best For Last xD).
yet, even though ive been playing Deathslinger quite a lot recently (rank 1), i never had a game where - considering we hit the endgame - NOED did not activate.
this, at least for me, proves something ive noticed a lot by now, survivors dont at all care about totems. they literally sit on the same gen with multiple people (Discordance tells me that), yet the totem standing right next to the gen in plain sight is untouched.
even as a survivor i notice that - i can cleanse 4 totems on my own, the 5th one is gonna get NOED on it, cause nobody cares about it.
but then everyone complains in end chat about the perk...
honestly, i'm not running the perk in my usual loadout, cause imo the risk you take for it isnt worth it. but after seeing it activate literally every game, i might aswell select it more often now.
there is a reason these totems stand there, dear survivors!
they are not just a purely cosmetic addition to the maps, they can hold some real power, if you let them.
so stop genrushing and start doing the other objectives this game gives you.
Honestly this is why I have stopped playing the game. I personally do not care about NOED but it has been a month now and my husband laughs because he can hear me getting mad at other survivors in game for NOT DOING TOTMES. They run past them and because they are dull just leave them. The worst part is they also do not do gens. 80% of my games have become me doing 4 or 5 gens and also looking for totems.
I had one game where I did all the gens and got killed. I stayed and watched the game though and this match alone made me quit for a week. A survivor ran right past the damn lit totem right next to gate as his teammate on the ENTIRE OTHER SIDE of the map got slugged. I thought okay he will cleanse it and someone will save but NOPE he ran and just left. I about had a aneurysm with how angry I was because this has at least for me become 80% of my games on survivor side. People do not do totems and pretty much hide the whole game hoping others do gens so they can escape.
I want to point out again like I said by all means use ANY perk I do not care. I am up for the challenge but for me I just got tired of playing with potatoes on survivor side and even with running Small Game and trying to focus only on totems gens never got done. I am just taking a break from the game and focusing on other games. I am 100% with you and wish survivors would focus on totems then gens or at least for me I wish my teams of rando people would focus on doing ANYTHING! lol

Good point Not being lazy is the thing, ever since Ruin changed survivors don’t feel the need to do totems so they just slam Gens...
As survivor I run Detective hunch and make sure I keep totems on pace with gens and very rarely have I been hit with NOED so it clearly is counterable
I am happy you get a team that knows to do totems. I have actually gave up playing currently because of bad teams and NOED. I cannot do all the gens AND the totems. I have started running Small Game to find the totems but as I do them no joke I do not see any gens get done. If I go and do gens then totems get left. I have decided to go to other games at least for now.
@johnmwarner said:
Sure, call me a bad baby killer noob who can’t apply pressure if you want but NOED is standard now on most killers.
Multiple games as Wraith last night where I found someone almost instantly, surprise hit and quick second hit. Repeat for each survivor and still 5 gens pop with no one dead.
The math just isn’t in your favor to actually 3-hook people before gens pop. And no I don’t want an ez 4K but I very clearly dominate and outclass the survivors I should at least get 2-3
Now to this post personally I can't imagine every game is exactly like the one described here to justify needing to use NOED in every match. I mean from my experience yes 1 or 2 gens pop before I get maybe even one hook some games but then other games I get 2 or 3 hooks before a second gen pops. Every game is different and I feel like you are trying to justify using NOED to make yourself feel better about needing it but I say if you want to use it then use it. =)
I also have to say if you VERY CLEARLY dominate and outclass the survivors then why are you having multiple games that all end the same? It doesn't sounds like you CLEARLY dominate them then. I am not calling you a baby at all and it could be that you just had a run of bad luck and maybe people who were SWF and that alone I hear is hard to deal with. It almost sounds like you do want that easy 4k at least to me and sorry if that comes off mean. I really am not trying to. You said the math is not in your favor to 3-hook people before gens pop. You are right and if you can then that is a team of potatoes and that is WAAAAY to easy then. I like the challenge and I have had games where 3 gens popped in 4 minutes and still got 3k win because the survivors cornered themselves and I do not use NOED. Every game is different but in the end use WHATEVER perk you want that makes you happy.

Survivor's don't give a damn about our fun, why should we care about their fun?
Why do you assume survivors do not care about killers fun? I play both sides and want everyone to have fun. I have even let a killer sacrifice me because I have felt bad for them. I want everyone to get points.
-
I can say I personally know why people D/C though. Yes it is out of rage but I cannot say with honesty that I have not D/c or even let myself die on first hook. Slight out of rage but also because the killer wanted to tunnel or camp and I did not feel like rewarding that behavior by letting them farm BP by hooking me 3 times.
I had at least 2 games where the killer no joke would not hook me but instead drop then pick me up so I would be forced to get away then he would slug me again to get the chase points I was guessing. I will be honest and say I decided to D/C then because there was no fun to be had. I would have been 100% OKAY had he hooked me and moved on OR if my teammates even tried. I personally will stay in a game with campers because it gives my team time to do gens. The problem was after 4 minutes of this not one gen was done. I D/C and view the game and my team was hiding no wheres near gens while I was farmed for points for 4-5 minutes.
I do not promote one hook deaths are D/C BUT I do understand it sometimes. I rarely do it and I guess when I do it is out of rage but I am not normally mad when I do it but more thinking give me a team that tries. If I am gonna be camped on a hook PLEASE other survivors pop at least 1 GEN! The game has sadly become (at least in the past 2 or 3 weeks for me) a race to see what survivor gets the hatch. My most recent 3 games I have done 4 gens minimum if not all 5 and in at least one game been punished for this by a one hook death because my team open the gate and run.
I guess to sum it up I understand the frustration on both Killer and Survivor side but I get why SOME people do it. I HONESTLY hate doing it because I hate loading a game up and all that only to decide D/C is better than what is currently happening in the match but I do not do it more than maybe once or twice a week.

Simple summary:
The OoO can always see the killers aura within the required ranges, no matter what direction the killer is looking.
The killer can only see the OoO aura when the OoO is looking in the killers direction within the required ranges.
So the OoO user has the power to hide their own aura, but the killer doesn’t have the power to hide their own aura (unless in undetectable status)
I guess maybe I just had bad luck in the game I used it in and the killer just happen to constantly be looking at me. I can see how it can be a BIT OP, kind of like a Killers NOED Totem can wreck a game. I personally hated the perk because it seemed like a high risk perk and I hated the nerve wracking feeling I had knowing the killer COULD see me If he wanted to when I look at him. The entire match I felt like I was looking at him and not on purpose and it caused him to find me ALL THE TIME. I went back to using good old Spine Chill. lol I also wanted to apologize for being dumb and just not agreeing that OOO is dumb. It needs a nerf but then again thanks to SWF most survivor perks need nerfs causing me to really think about just quitting the game for a while again. Thank god Secrets of Mana comes out soon and FF7 remake. =)

When you look at the killer, and the killer looks in your direction, you both see each other. However, if you are looking away, in that you can't see his aura, he can't see your aura. Which is what is meant by 'hiding your aura.' On the same note, you can look at the killer, and see him, even if he isn't looking at you.
I only ask because when I used it today it only worked when we BOTH looked at each other for me. I honestly hated the perk so much. I did my best to never look at him because the moment I seen his Aura he seen me and here he came. lol I guess maybe mine is bugged or something. It could have just been the map as well. I don't know the name of he map but it was the one with the building dead center and a gen is on the bottom floor next to the stairs. The killer was always in there so any time I looked even slightly any place but a corner I seen him and BAM he was after me again. lol

No this is incorrect.
How the perk currently works is the survivor can always see the killers aura provided the killer is within the required range (and not within the TR. The killer can only see the OoO aura if they’re BOTH looking in each other’s direction. The OoO user can simply turn away to hide their aura.
What part is wrong?
I used it today and we both could see each other. He came right at me because he seen me. It is not a perk I will use again because I did not like it. I felt like anytime I farted we seen each other and I hated trying to do gens while we seen each other. ALSO it is right in the description how it works.
"A supernatural bond links you to the Killer. If you are looking in the Killer's direction, your link will reveal your Auras to each other. This effect applies only if you are outside of the Killer's Terror Radius. As the Killer's Obsession , this effect applies to a maximum range of 56/64/72 metres. Otherwise, it applies to a maximum range of 44/56/64 metres."
I mean I am still confused as to what part you is saying is wrong. The killer and me played and cat and mouse the entire match while I did gens and I hated this perk because I felt like it went off WAY to much and the killer and me seen each other 70% of the match. I almost never got to stay on a gen to long before he was coming my way. The perk worked exactly as described. I ONLY had vision when BOTH of us looked at each other and never had vision when he didn't. I guess maybe I was that one special person that the perk worked as described or maybe it was a glitch.

It completely negates killer strategies as they can basically sit back and give a play by play of the killers every action. If they come for you just stop looking then hop into a locker. Or do their god loop thing where they jump through the same window 15 times. Then you just wait for the rest of the gens to pop.
You used to also be able to negate the downside with Sole Survivor but it appears to be glitched. Could possibly still do it with Distortion though. Haven't tested yet.
It's too good in the niche it fills. Killer doesn't nearly get as much feedback without much sacrifice. A gen versus sitting there looking stupid.
But a cooldown would guarantee that the newer players won't nearly have as much trouble with it since it won't give away their position the entire time. Bhvr is all about that new player experience am i right?
In the first thing you say by being able to give a play by play of the killer do you mean if you are playing SWF? I do not play that way at all. I cannot relay any messages to anyone. Heck I am lucky to somehow hint enough with the two hand gestures to follow me and they actually do.
I can see how it is SUPER STRONG if players are using mics but maybe that is why I have not once seen it used in solo que. I keep looking at it when I am queing up and just think sounds nice but also kind of useless because I can't let me team know.

So I just saw this from @SpaceCoconut
"Killers are punished in the tally screen for not letting survivors play. The punishment is irrelevant to some players like myself, but the idea is there.
Where is the punishment for survivors who complete gens very quickly taking away time from the killer to be able to play?"
And it got me wondering. How can you introduce mechanics so that a survivor pipping can be tailed to be simular to killer?
Maybe make protection hits give you more benevolent points and make it so you only have to get 2 gens done by yourself to get Iri light bringer or something like that
And before you say it. No. A second objective is not going to work as that'd just be more holding m1 or it'd be such a melinal task that can be done by 1 person it wouldn't even be worth putting in at all. And if it's optional it doesn't solve the issue of match times being too short because it's optional. You don't have to do it.
I have had games as a survivor where I don't get hit once and do 4 gens and save maybe 1 survivor and just get a black pip but not a REAL PIP.
I know as killers you do not want to let survivors get away but the game is more about winning chases and getting more than 1 hook per survivor. When I play killer I honestly never camp or waste time slugging I hook and go to the next gen. I also have this way I play where I kind of let certain gens get done so I can huddle the survivors to the gens most close together. They think they are doing great and then look and go CRAP because I can no cover the gens.
Yes some games are better than others and I have had games where 3 gens pop in 2 or 3 minutes. I think OH CRAP but the problem is most the time the survivors screw themselves by leaving the gens most close together and I still get the 3 or 4k kill. I understand the issue people have with gen times and I am sincerely sorry you are having issues with this.
Also the punishment for the survivors that rush gens and escape is the fact they will not pip. If they do not win chases or get to rescue and heal teammates they wont pip. I know for a fact because I have had games where I got out and not one teammate was downed and my punishment was a low scoring game and no pip.

Give it a minute cooldown. There it's fixed.
I mean why give it a cooldown? It almost sounds like a bad perk because you give away your location to the killer as much as you learn the killer spot. You may be right though maybe a cooldown wouldn't be so bad.

I personally don't like OOO because that means the player who is using it is a toxic pos. I've never had a good experience with anyone who uses OOO and I will avoid them at all costs to hunt other teammates unless they are obviously working on a gen.
Is OOO really this overused? Also is it really used by only mean people?
I only ask because I have never not once seen it used. I also still do not understand this fear of a perk that kind of works for both survivor and KILLER. I both aura's only show when BOTH parties are looking at each other. It isn't like Spine Chill or Premonition where the survivor knows when the killer is coming but the killer doesn't see them.
Sorry I am just trying to understand because I have never seen it used. I think maybe I should try it once in my games to see it in action and I play Solo Que only.

Yeah...I'd have no problem being so toxic the killer would throw his console out of the window. No killer cares about my fun, so why should I care anything about a killer...I don't care by the way just so we're clear.
It's cool and I guess instead of being a solution to the problem you like to be the problem with things. I mean with that mentality nothing gets fixed. Enjoy being toxic over video games and the internet like most people can be tough. =)
I do want to ask why do you assume NO KILLER cares about your fun? Is it because they hook you are because they do things during the game to bully you? I mean I understand when survivors T-bag or a killer tunnels and camps you or just keeps hitting you after you are hooked. These are all douche moves other than that if the killer happens to kill me it is just the game. I know personally when I play killer I try to let EVERY survivor get points and NEVER tunnel and if everyone escapes oh well if not then good too. I also actually let 1 or 2 free anyway.
I will just try to be a little more nice in my games to try and counter your negative outlook and I guess I will not respond to your messages because you enjoying being this person. I respect your decision and will wish you well in your games and in life.

Well, currently, OoO is high reward and mediocre risk (even low risk, if you are super careful and have some luck the Killer might only notice Midgame or Endgame that you have OoO). With the change I suggested, it would be mediocre reward and high risk. And I think if you want to run a Perk such like this, you should have a higher risk than reward.
Also, when OoO is lightning up, the Survivor can look around to see where the Killer is. So it not only works like Spine Chill, but also gives information when the Killer is full map away.
Why would anyone EVER use a perk that is HIGH risk with little to no payoff or reward? I mean really is it really a high reward if both the survivor AND KILLER see each other. It is not like the survivor has constant sight the killer does not have. If the killer does not notice your aura when he stares at you isn't that on him? The perk ONLY works when BOTH parties look at each other giving BOTH knowledge of each others location. I mean other than that how beneficial is the perk really? I have never once seen this perk used in ANY games but Spine chill used every game. I guess maybe it is only good in SWF teams.

It’s supposed to be a risky and dangerous perk to use. The user gets the power of seeing what the killer is doing at the risk of showing their location to the killer, and potentially becoming a target.
The problem is when it is used in SWF it’s almost always on the best looper/runner in the team, and they’re smart to always communicate with the rest of the team to check if the killer is distracted before activating the perk to tell the other teammates where the killer is and what they’re doing, so that the OoO aura is only ever revealed to the killer until the OoO wants to be a distraction and waste the killers time.
I agree 100% that SWF teams probably abuse it but they abuse almost any perk. Thanks to them the perks us Solo que players use get nerfed so bad that our one hope in the match sometimes is gone. I do agree though things need fixing but I can honestly say with all honesty I have no ideas how to truly fix the issues. I am not trying to be mean at all but I see so MANY post telling Devs what to do but most the time it is just one idea and the idea itself will just cause YET another issue. This and many other games are a constant circle of solving issues. I guess the developers have their games and we have ours. lol I think SWF is breaking most the game and perks and the perks themselves are kind of okay.

Well just stick our heads in the sand like good lemmings. Before we know it, survivor q times will double. The deaths linger fad will wear off soon and the momentary reduction in Q time will be over. But PLEASE stick to your ideology lol.
I think she just means to say we are sure the devs know how MANY PEOPLE feel about gens and think they should be 3 to 5 minutes each. I mean the current time is 80 seconds per gen if one person is doing it without a toolbox and 44.44 if 2 survivors are. That is a bit to fast considering some of these killers move like slugs. Although the Doctor can reach with his static blast like a NUTJOB and other killers seem to pressure the maps well enough along with even the wraith.
Sadly it is hard to fix these problems because some killer mains think the gen time is just fine and others think it's to short. It may even just be the killer they are playing needs a tune up. It is many factors in the equation of this game just to assume it is the gens time fault. It could be the lack of killing power for killer or the player vs player skill levels or the map. In the end so many things need to really be looked at.

Because of an OoO user can observe the setting animation
Aaah okay makes sense then. Thanks for the answer. =) I will say I am seeing users that think the perk works different than what I am reading. I read it and it says "A supernatural bond links you to the Killer. If you are looking in the Killer's direction, your link will reveal your Auras to each other."
I mean that does not sound to great and probably why I do not use it. I mean it's almost like Babysitter except only time you see each other is when looking at each other from a certain distance other than that I feel like it is kind of eeeh. I mean okay we see each other then look away and once again POOF no idea what way either one of us are going. lol I guess I just feel there is much more stronger perks on both sides of the game that need some looking at. lol

Personally, I think that the Perk is not balanced for Solos either. Sure, the benefit of OoO is bigger the more players are in a party, but even as Solo you can get information you should not have. This is mostly because the Survivor can see the Killer when the Killer cannot see the Survivor.
In my opinion this should change - if the Killer and Survivor are looking at each other, they will see each other. If the Killer is looking at the Survivor but the Survivor is looking away, the Killer should see the Aura (and OoO should lit up). If the Survivor is looking in the direction of the Killer and the Killer is not looking back at the Survivor, no Aura Read.
This would basically turn the current state around, making it much more risk for the Survivor, while still providing some Benefit.
Overall I think this Perk needs changing, this whole "Undetectable"-Stuff came solely because of Object of Obsession. But instead of just changing that one Perk, they came with a new mechanic which also nerfed other Perks (Dark Sense, Alert for example).
I am just a little confused because OOO says both Killer and Survivor see each other.
"A supernatural bond links you to the Killer. If you are looking in the Killer's direction, your link will reveal your Auras to each other."
Plus what you are saying sounds like a perk that would almost benefit the killer than the player using it. I mean why would anyone us it if the only time you see the killer is if you are looking at each other. If you are not looking at the killer he can see you? That means the entire game unless I am looking at the killer he sees me. Wouldn't that benefit the killer more because unless I am looking at him the entire time he sees my aura? All I know is he is looking at me? That is what Spine Chill is for.
-
I will ask because I feel dumb but why Does Object of Obession counter trapper and hag more? I feel like Small Game is a MUCH better counter to Hag and Trapper. I mean doesn't OOO only let you see each other and not the traps placed. Small Game let's you know you are coming to a trap and has a VERY short cool down. I mean I can see how OOO can be tough but Small Game has become my go to perk for both Totems and traps. I mean just being able to see a killer when you look at each other can only do so much but then again I play solo que. I feel like my combo Spine Chill/ Small Game is nice against Hag and Trapper because I can still get the knowledge when the killer is looking at me AND when a trap is near PLUS do totems.

It is because you're not doing anything productive, that's why some players run towards those hiding, if i get into a chase, i would very much love it if my teammates do gens, i run bond just to see the stupid things people do while i get in chase etc like hiding, going to the corner of the maps etc and crouching (all these are time wasted that could be allocated to doing objectives)
Valid point but what if that person is just hiding so you can lead the killer away and they can go back to the gen or is healing?
I do agree though and have done this exact thing myself. I figure if you are not gonna do anything I can at least use you as bate as I do the gens.

There is a time to run and a time to hide. More often than not it is more strategic to run though. It's actually the way the game is designed to be played obviously from the way bloodpoints are rewarded. Sneaking around never being found doesn't give very many bloodpoints.
I agree that sneaking doesn't reward many Points but neither does getting hooked so quick because you left a trail to find you that you are the first one dead. Then you also get no objective points or survival or altruism points. Yes you are right running is also part of the game but the game was not built just around running it was built around a mix of hiding AND running. It is a 50/50 thing and you are right there is a time to run and hide so one does not trump another.
It's like what the Good Lord Mister Kenny R said, "You gotta know when to hold them, know when to fold them, know when you walk away, know when to run" ROFL
-
@Oicimau said:
Yeah, I'd like a meme for when im walking and another survivor just runs towards me killing all my stealth if the killer comes... LOL
But sometimes I do that to others too. LOL Not to expose them, just because I think walking isnt required at that moment/location and I want to get past there.
Something I do when unhook someone that begins to walk is to run to another way, so the killer will see my scratch marks and come after me. But as i am not injuried, i can just hide with the heads up i have.
At least you try and help confuse killers leaving more scratch marks. I just wish players would mimic me when it comes to hag and just crawl. If you see me crawl to you and not trip a trap take that into consideration and don't assume I am a witch. lol
I also respect that you run up to help fellow survivors thinking that walking is not needed but I will say running is not normally needed as well when going to maybe heal a teammate behind a rock. You will get there by walking in a decent amount of time anyway and also not leave a possible way for a killer to see you both.
I hope I am not coming off as saying I am right because I am not. I mean I certainly make my fair share of mistakes but just wanted to share my opinion and I hope you guys continue to have fun because that is all that matters. =)

I am soooooo tired of seeing Doctor and even more playing against them. I see the latest patch and now madness does not wear off or count down. It will just stay until you get pushed to level 2 then 3. I mean he was already strong enough without that. I know it was small but I sometimes got out of his terror radius to let my madness level go down some. At this point I don't care and just let whatever happens happen. It is to the point the moment I hear the roll of the thunder or hear survivors screaming I just get that feeling like okay let him hook me and get onto the next game. I know that is just being childish but on certain maps he is just almost unstoppable in the right hands.
He can not only constantly raise your madness level without any chance of it going down but then he can see his hallucinations as well with addons. He almost always has constant vision on survivors if played right. He can keep the close ones screaming and the far ones locations by looking for his own hallucinations.
It is sad he keeps getting more and more updates that he really does not need because he is pretty good if not top of the list killer already but other killers are left in the dust. Legion is underplayed and I haven't seen a huntress in a long time either. I hardly even seen the new killer or nurse and even the once OP Oni is dead. Instead let's pump up an already pretty steady and strong killer.
I am not saying nerfs are needed but he certainly does not need anymore power upgrades.

Running around other people may not even be on their minds, they just run cause that's their style.
If you mean they purposely find people who hide and try to make their location be known to the Killer, that's just being a douche.
People also often run when they're confident that the Killer is busy with someone/something else.
Sometimes they're wrong, but with experience they're often correct.
As for being on the last life: Stealthing away is...well, more stealthy, but running away is faster.
If you can run away from nearby the Hook fast enough so they won't see Scratchmarks at all, why bother using stealth?
At least, that's what i can think of as a reason, i think both tactics are valid.
As for Survivors triggering Hag traps, to me it's quite simple: You fell for a trap by not being careful, you face the consequences.
If they can't keep themselves under control from facing those consequences, idk, maybe they should stop trying the definition of insanity.
I 100% agree to the hag trap thing. I am always amazed when I save someone off the hook by crawling up to them but they instead of crawling away RUN and trigger the traps then cry the killer is camping. It is like nooooo they are using a ability and you just refuse to learn how to work around it.
I also agree that running from the hook is the quickest way but when you see Spine Chill is activated or the killer coming your way it is just smarter to not run. I have started using both BT and Babysitter to give players a double chance. It may just be the survivors I am getting stuck with playing but my teams are full of potatoes just waiting to be baked. I mean my last game I had two survivors who did not use even one perk. I mean really not one. All survivors start with 3 perks and the ability to equip at least 1. Sorry I got off topic but yeah it may just be the players I am getting being d-bags or just refusing to learn.
Thanks for the input. =)

@Boss said:
It means they're not afraid of being found, they're confident in their chase skills.
Even if you only manage 30-second chases, that can still be a big win if your fellow Survivors work on the objectives in the meantime.
It's not rare for the Survivors to make a decent victory by just going fast, literally and figuratively.
I understand not being scared but if you see another player who is trying to stay safe why run up to them and all around them to give away their location. You may be confident in your chase skills but that poor player may not be as good. Also I understanding being good at chases but last life and you get saved and the first thing you do is run and leave scratch marks? Don't you on your last life want to be as careful now as possible?
Also with this new running idea I see in 80% of my games it amazes me that people get mad at Hag killers because they set traps off by not crawling. If anything patience and stealth is just as important as being able to run. I do not mind you playing however you want but be respectful of others and if you see someone who is trying to hide or heal up PLEASE walk or crawl to them. Do not leave HUGE RED MARKS on the walls to give them away.

I wouldn't mind destroying a killer by being on a Seal Team Six, but first I am decent but I am not exactly the type a Team Seal Six would want and second those who I do play with on mic are no better (and perhaps even a bit worse somedays) than I am. But to those sweaty try hard rank 1 survivors on comms and who can loop a killer for twenty minutes, safely unhook a survivor even if the killer is almost touching them, and flashlight blind killers all game long...well played, but unfortunately that's not me.
I actually like watching those try hards play a game because it is kind of impressive BUT I do dislike how it makes the killers feel. I am confused now though are you saying you wish you were one of those teams that kind of slightly abuse SWF to the point of being toxic and making people quit the game? I know your name has Toxic in it so I won't be shocked if you say yes. lol =) I just want everyone to have fun. I know that sounds cheesy but I guess that is because I am not toxic and like to see people happy.

Killer: Chainsaw boys, particularly Leatherface, because I can never escape Bubba and teammates don’t really know what to do. Honorable mention to iridescent Huntress because they always have a literal and figurative axe to grind.
Survivor: skin wise, it would have to be Nea and Claudette. Neas tend to be toxic af, Claudettes tend to rely on camo (and be toxic.) However, general rule is that the most annoying survivors are the ones that either hide while the only other survivor is forced to do gens, and the ones that deliberately hide and hold my game hostage.
THANK YOU! You pointed out the survivors that do nothing but hide the entire game and maybe do a totem or two but instead take the boxed items and then sit and wait for YOU to do all the gens. Then if you get hooked they hide and hope to find the hatch. I do not mind losing a game at all but nothing is more infuriating then watching another survivor do nothing and escape.
I watched a game where I got killed but I watched the rest of the match and I was physically yelling at my screen. One survivor got hooked in the basement and the other had a key and was hiding in a locker in the basement. Well the killer left and the other survivor came out of the locker and looked at his teammate and went into another locker. Then popped out and looked at him and hid again. This went on UNTIL his teammate died then he FINALLY ran upstairs and used the key and left. I was like #########, how does this crap happen and why is there not a way to vote like a thumbs down option. I mean you can give players a thumbs up on the platform I play on and I can't chat on what I play on so I could not show my anger for being selfish. I would have at least liked to be able to thumbs down. OH BEST PART they were the only survivor and yet still came in 4th for points.

Not every swf is Seal Team Six. Played three hours last night as a swf. Started with me as a 4/5 and another as a 4/5 (no mic), a rank 8 and rank 9. Later again me as a 4/5, the no mic girl as a 4/5 and a rank 16. So I must have played some 12 games or so and after all that I ended up earning a single PIP overall.
I am on a weird fence with talking on mics. I agree not everybody on comms is out to destroy the killer but I can understand why killers dislike it. It is a gray area. I understand wanting to play with friends but then being able to give ideas and moves 3 steps ahead can be a bit tough to deal with. I say just play anyway you want but do not be surprised if you get some mad people. I sadly see a TON of toxic players and I play on the dang switch. I have over 1000k hours and am still shocked when I see toxic players.
-
Personally any survivor can be annoying. The survivors are pretty much all the same with different skins. If you unlocked all the perks any survivor can have any perk at some point. Aside from that I could see Claudette or Lorrie being annoying.
In the way of killers I dislike any killer that can one hit and down like Leatherface or Hillbilly. I mean I understand it is a mechanic but I have many games where teammates just trap you and wont move and BAM you are both down. I also kind of dislike Oni and Doctor.
The oni has way to many ways to track people if you are bleeding. I mean I escape a good chunk of time against him but he is tough.
Currently my MOST ANNOYING KILLER IS DUN DUN DUN THE DOCTOR! If I see the killer is the doctor it is 50/50 if I try or just let him slug and hook me just to get to the next match. It depends on the map. I mean his range is sooooo far and the new update where madness does not regress is a bit much. I use to go and hide a bit and let it sink but no more. I feel like each update just makes him stronger and stronger. I feel like even new players can get a 4k kill with him. You can literally walk around with him and just listen to people scream or see their hallucinations. It is just really tough to combat at times. I AM NOT SAYING NERF HIM THOUGH.
The hag is only tough because no matter HOW MANY TIMES YOU SHOW PLAYERS HOW TO CRAWL AND AVOID THE TRAPS, you still get survivors who dir dir dir and run through them. You unhook them and they just run and BAM slugged again and they think the killer is camping. God forbid they actually learn instead of blaming the killer for using a ability. You just watched me come up and not trigger them so do the same.
-
I no longer prestige because the bloody clothes are not worth it. I would rather buy a skin and use it and save all the Blood Points I put into the blood web. I did the prestige for one character and regretted it. I lost EVERYTHING and then could not use my favorite character all for a blood stained shirt? I never did or will do it again. I would rather just keep going through the web until my character has every perk possible. It is more beneficial then a blood stained shirt or pants. =)

Be sure I would like to take it as a video, but unfortunately I do not have this possibility because of my system. My fps is bad in this game. But be sure, as soon as the game starts, I haven't even figured out what's going on after 15-20 seconds. But I can say that I have encountered a solid swf, these are genrush boosted swf. You see that they use 2 offering to get together and start the farthest away. I couldn't even count how many seconds a generator was finished
I guess I do not have that issue because currently what I play on that has not happened. I am not happy with SWF and feel bad for any killer that has to deal with it. I do agree though it probably doesn't happen as often as people say or think but the fact is it does happen. The issue is if they try to let's say extend gen times then solo que will either die. I already have issues where my teammates either don't use perks or just hide the entire game and I have to do 3 or 4 gens solo. I agree they need to somehow combat SWF but its almost impossible sadly and it ruins the game for solo que players. =(

The OP probably hits survivors while hooked too. There's no reason why someone would want to derank to get easy wins and bully others. If the higher ranks are doing that to you, then keep at it until you get better and you'll be giving it back to them in the future.
I think you are probably right about the kind of killer who also hits hooked survivors. That personally bothers me because I do not bully the killer or survivors so I feel like when a killer does that it is just rude. Also I do not understand why someone would want a always play a game knowing they can get a 4k win. It is just weird. If they want to play a easy mode game there is many other games.

I don't know about you, but...
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/417/8W580HIWLGRE.jpg
In the Otz video, a generator repaired every 27 seconds. So how many seconds did this match be repaired? 15-20? Playing Survivor is fun, but playing killer is not fun, especially playing with Legion, who is dead, is no fun. But at least I was able to get 1k here. I was successful in the room heavy tunnel. The only reason I leave afk is shard.
Are you basing all gen repairs off this one video? One game where a gen is repaired in 27 seconds sounds like a fluke. I mean I have played both survivor and killer and I am shocked that happened. The time limit even with 2 survivors without toolboxes are 44.44 seconds. I can play almost any killer and even if everyone gets away I still had fun because I do not take anything to serious. That is where you lose the fun is when you take it to serious and freak out. I mean I seen a short video were 3 gens popped and I though boy that was fast but also a rare occasion. It also normally backfires when the survivors leave all but 3 gens that are so close together they can't finish. I love when that happens. lol
I also personally hate de-ranking because as much fun as it might be you also get survivors that have no idea what they are doing so is it really that fun? I mean as a killer I like a challenge because at rank 15 and lower the survivors either just hide or flat out don't even use perks. It is way to easy then.

Sadly it is. Unless is a top killer, you have to tunnel, slug and tryhard and sometimes even with the top tiers. I do not like to tunnel either as it feel horrible for the survivor but those sweaty SWF don't leave you another choice. And they deserve it. I do not think the same about solos.
Sad part is there is nothing but Solo players on the platform I play and YET killers still camp or tunnel about 65% of the time. It ruins the experience for both killer and survivor in my opinion. It cannot be fun just standing there watching a person die and that player on the hook also is having no fun. It also takes away the fun of trying to save the fellow teammate. In the end I agree play how you want but I know when I play killer I don't care if I kill 4 or 0 people as long as I have fun. =)
