From what I heard for switch, select Pyramid head as your killer, then go back to the main menu and go:

[d-pad] Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B, Plus

But it could still be bugged, idk. Since it's different (A, B not B, A) that could be the issue.

Thank you I will give that a try and see what happens! =)

Tried and sadly nothing but it may get fixed overtime.

As far as I'm aware it's not a PC exclusive, I think people just haven't discovered the code equivalent for your respective platforms yet. For PC people quickly figured out how to adapt the code onto a keyboard and mouse, now ya need to figure out what it is on controllers for Xbox, PS4, etc.

I could be wrong, but I'm sure there must be a way to get it on other platforms.

The code is the same on Nintendo and I called it before even reading what the code was because I used it in MK2 years ago. It just currently does not work but it's okay. I have so many charms anyway and you may be right about some consoles being different. Only time will tell. =)

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

AFAIK this is a bug and is meant to work on console (since the dataminders found code for it to work with controllers too).

Oh and just saying I am not trying to come off as crying or anything just was a bit confused. I gave it a try and nothing but I play on the switch and then read it does not work on console. I figured they just left us out but maybe they will fix it at sometime. Either way it is just a charm granted a cool one but I have so many charms already. lol

  • Looking through this guys post and other comments other places he is a killer main who just wants the easiest 4k games. He is the one that unless he gets a easy 4k the game is rigged and the DEVS must love survivors. It can't be because he lacks skill but that the game is broken because it's not his fault he didn't get a complete 100% win. I would hate to run into him as a killer because from seeing his many other crying post about how survivors are the strongest I would assume his play style is campy and always NOED kind of play style. Anything that makes it easy to get the kills and clear the game out with ease.

Assuming survivors had BT was already bad enough now you want every killer to wait even longer if they simply get picked up from getting healed lmao, Just wait until 4 man red rank swf get their hands on this with ds, unbreakable, bt, or one for all, These broken combos will be disgusting mark my words lmao.

Not being rude but you seem to be basing the whole OP thing of the idea that every game is gonna be SWF.....I played a few games today all Solo Survivor and did not see that perk once. I mean by the standards you are setting like most post screaming a perk is OP, any perk can be considered OP if giving the right scenario like you are giving as an example. In normal Solo que survivor it is no stronger than another because we cannot plan to abuse it like SWF teams.

Any balcony or second story window on haddonfield will do it.

    The harvesters on coldwind work.

I'm fairly certain it will work on the hills that are present in most of the maps.

Gideon plant jumping from second to first story will do it

There's a ton of drops on Hawkins that will do it.

Anywhere you can trigger BL will get you this challenge.

The trick is that the chase music has to be playing when you trigger it. A lot of people jump to early before their chase with the killer starts and don't get it as a result.

I will say all the information seems right except the one where you say any drop that triggers Balance Landing. I just had a game where I was in chase 4 times and every time made sure he was close enough to me as I ran up the hill and fell off and triggered BL and still did not complete it. You still may be right and it may be my bad luck but so far from my experience just triggering BL is not 100% and the hills do not work. I think it may need to be a tad higher. =)

Your fine, I lost my cool so technically you wouldn’t have said that if I was more articulate and patient. I hope at least some of the things I said helped and they didn’t all sound angry or aggressive.

You are good. =) No worries at all. You were not really mean are called me some horrible names like some others have. If you are ever bored by the way and want a good read you should read the first reply in this forum.- https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1200047#Comment_1200047

It's forum about how toxic the community is and acts and the first reply makes me laugh. He goes on calling people snowflakes (which last time I checked was name calling and a toxic act) and then talks about how the more survivors get mad the better he knows he did. It made me laugh so figured if you are ever bored you can take a look and laugh at the guy trying to defend and stop people from being toxic BY being toxic. lol

sorry I just didn’t see this until now and I was pissed at snow for whining and saying things that weren’t true.

My understanding was that even if madness doesn’t decrease passively, once the doctor shocks you into madness 3 you can snap out of it into madness 1. I’m fully with the other guy too though about bringing back the passive decrease of madness. It does help both sides and would make for a more balanced game. He’s a huge pain and I say people are terrible survivors cuz I’m right there with you. I’ve only started getting a little better with survivor lately after dumping a ton of bp into two survivors and trying to play them. The key with doctor is unfortunately he is insanely hard to shake so you have to be good at looping and if you are then you can keep him busy while the rest of the team does gens. You need to do things like drop pallets early and think about whether your in too vulnerable of a spot in terms of being trapped by windows or pallets. Also if you know the runs of maps well enough if you keep throwing pallets in front of him and getting speed bursts you can waste his time for a really long time. I’m really good with doctor but some survivors are good enough that I give up and chase someone else because they waste too much of my time. There’s a bunch of other threads here that give a far better explanation than I can of how to avoid and outrun the doctor. If you can time his shocks so they don’t block your vaults he doesn’t have anything on you other than exposing your location.

Thanks for the tips and yeah I do not think he is OP but certainly is up there in my fear of killers. He is at this point one of the killers that even someone that is bad at playing killer will be good with. I liked him before the rework and constant updates and now he is scarier then that last two new killers that came out. lol

I do hope you are right that when you snap out of it you go to madness 1 but I do think it just takes you down to 2. I feel like when I snap out of it he can zap me once or twice and I am already INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE! lol

I do know in the update it says this, "One last thing we've addressed is the frustration of using Snap Out Of It to drop from Madness level III to Madness level II. After the update, missing a skill check during Snap Out Of It will cost the player 25% of their progress instead of resetting it entirely. Also, if they stop the interaction before it's complete, they will not lose their progress and will continue from where they left off on the next attempt. ".

I am guessing this just is summed up as saying you no longer lose all your progression for snapping out of it BUT when you do finally snap out of it you only go as far as madness II(2). I think sadly because it will not go down slowly after that it will

Well thanks again for being kind and getting back to me and I hope you continue to stay healthy and have good games. =) Long Distance Hug and pat on the bottom! GOOD GAME! rofl

Yeah i called someone a snowflake. Is that hate speech now? Snowflake. It means people that get easily offended. Which 50% of people in the game & on this forum qualify as. I play any way I want, outside of cheating. I dont follow survivors made up rules. I play to win. Its PVP. I couldnt care less if survivors have fun vs me. Its the killers job to kill survivors. Thats it. When you pay my bills and buy my games then you can tell me how to play. Someone clicking their flashlight i dont consider toxic, and i didnt say it was.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1199991#Comment_1199991

i consider it annoying. As far as end game collapse, it was put in because survivors would go hide in lockers and move before the crows gave them away. They would do this for up to 45 minutes. Hoping the killer would quit. Thats happened to me more than once.

I mean then if the killer quits they quit once again using your words against you, until you pay their bills or buy their games they can play how they like I guess. I mean they should have tried and found the survivors I guess. I don't like that play style either but your logic again. It is a PVP game and by your knowledge then nothing is toxic behavior because we all bought and paid for it so we play how we want.

I did not call snowflake hate speech but it is a type of name calling which is a type of toxic attitude. It just seem like a toxic response to a forum about how toxic the community is. I mean you pretty much go onto to say toughen up snowflakes then say I will play how I want to play no matter how unhappy they are. You even say how the madder they get the better you did. I mean the game yes is about winning but should it come at the cost of hurting or ruining someone else's time. I am not saying you cannot camp or tunnel but to do that is toxic and ruins someone else's experience and sadly because this match system is still broken, I have gone against people that were fresh to the game as of an hour ago and their first experience is living on a hook. I guess my play style is different than yours and I do not need to tunnel or camp.

I mean go ahead play as you want and tunnel all day long and camp but do not complain about the problem without being the solution. Snowflake out! ROFL

    Soon. Hopefully.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1194009#Comment_1194009

It has already been reworked, and then immediately after survivors figured out how to maximize its output and abuse the perk to its fullest extent, hence the need for another rework, again.

One that puts it in its place, but still achieves its original purpose of being an anti-tunneling perk (and NOTHING more) for good.

    Allow me to explain:

    DS - Problems

A survivor running DS is not going to heal themselves because the DS practically counts as a health state on its own. It's a nice thought, but it's unrealistic to think anybody is going to heal while they've got what is basically invincibility. They're gonna play as aggressive as humanly possible going for unsafe unhooks, finishing generators in the killers face, doing hex totems in the killers face, etc.

This is the real problem with DS. That it enables survivors to play extremely aggressively for a long duration of time and they absolutely cannot get punished for it. As Otzdarva put it: "Decisive Strike allows survivors to be bold, make bad mistakes and completely get away with it"

    DS - Solutions

It should be deactivated under numerous circumstances:

First and foremost it should be deactivated upon entering a locker, everybody knows this stupid trick, it's annoying to deal with, and provides a survivor 100% protection since they won't even be in the dying state. A key point to remember about Dead By Daylight is that a survivor should never feel safe under any circumstances, they should always be on edge and in some kind of tension, if not something is very clearly wrong with the power role of the killer. The ability to jump in a locker and force a killer to eat the DS absolutely and unbearably spits in the face of this idea, allowing a survivor to feel completely safe within the confines of a red box.

DS is also meant to be an anti tunneling perk, so it should be deactivated after that purpose is accomplished. NOT for an extra-whatever-is-left-on-the-timer. Similarly to OoO, if a survivor is outside of a range of 32 or 40 meters of a killer, it should automatically deactivate. If you are that far away, you are clearly not being tunneled and there is no reason for you to have the perk still active.

It should also deactivate if you begin repairing a generator, DS is a self preservation perk, it is meant to keep you alive immediately after the unhook. So if you feel safe enough to repair a generator while still injured, there is no reason for you to have the perk still active. This way baiting a killer into accidentally grabbing a survivor off a generator is no longer viable again, taking away that misplaced sense of security that survivors should never feel.

This also introduces an interesting dynamic, if there is one generator left, it's at 80% and the killer is chasing somebody but close enough that you can hear a heartbeat, do you try to repair the generator? If you do you lose your temporary basically-invincibility but you could repair the generator (popping adrenaline probably) if you don't you might be able to keep your DS maybe even use it and find the hatch or something. This forces survivors into weighing the risks vs. the reward and is a far more interesting gameplay and a tense situation than "Hehe DS will protect me, all gens done time to pop 4 adrenalines now look who's the 4head".

    Concluding

These are absolutely necessary changes, those who say no are the ones who are keen on continuing to abuse an unbalanced perk.

However, it's important to note that none of this changes the primary and original goal of the perk who seek to gain that benefit: The core integrity of a perk that keeps you from being tunneled immediately off the hook for a certain period of time is preserved, giving you the opportunity to escape the killer, heal yourself up, and stay alive.

This is what the perk should be used for, and absolutely nothing more.

You make some points but then again I kind of disagree. I mean I do not like the locker trick but if the survivor wants to hide in their then go ahead and waste time. lol

As to all the deactivation ideas I mean they sound kind of crazy. I should have to pick between doing a gen or hoping the killer doesn't tunnel me? He could just slug me and wait the timer out while looking for others around me? It is what I do when I am afraid the survivor has DS. Also if there is one gen left and the person with DS is on it and you slug them there is a very high chance that if not one but all the team will come to heal them and fix the gen so you kind of got a nice setup for a trap there. Just an idea not saying I am right but just a idea.

Then the idea of it deactivating if out of the killer's terror radius. A couple things to this. What if it is a killer with a tiny radius? The killer loses you for a split second your perk stops and boom its back and he tunnels you. I mean just because I ran out of the killers radius does not mean he did not see my scratch marks and is not chasing towards me. I from experience have no joke cut killers off only to have them ignore me to go after the person halfway across the map who though they might be safe. I mean a killer could purposefully let the survivor get out of range only to run right back at them then. It would be no different then waiting the timer out at that point.

I mean you have some valid points like the locker thing which I do agree on pretty much. I do have to ask though can you maybe show me a video of this DS in a locker trick? I mean personally I do not use DS but I keep hearing about this bug but never seen it and can't even find it when I look online. If this is something like DS procs without getting of the hook but by going in the locker that is a bit annoying. I just do not know what the bug is so would like to see it.

  • @Thatbrownmonster said:

Ds at the moment is a mandatory perk on red ranks because it gives survivors invisibility for 1 minute

I am really hoping for ds to be changed soo it gets canceled if you start doing a generator/totem, or if start healing other survivors

DS should be what it was meant to- a anti-tunneling perk, not a "killers can't do anything against me for 1 minute"

I mean it kind of still is an anti-tunnel perk. I mean if the person gets off the hook and the first thing they do is a gen then grab them and either hope they miss or just laugh because now it's wasted and they are running away and go slug them. I mean honestly if they DS you good chance is it is because you TUNNELED. You do not need to grab them you can slug them and wait the timer out if you really need to tunnel that bad.

  • It is only a matter of time before they get used and you are back on these forums screaming about another movie plot and saying these perks are OP. Time to nut up or shut up I guess right? lol

  • @Jetsallday24x said:

A classic horror movie where the survivors are running through the woods screaming. AHHHHH he's OP the nerf this killer all of this is unfair! All of you survivor mains complaining about the changes are just upset that your skill level is going to be exposed without Gen rushing and God loops. Get good guys now we get to see who the real skilled killers are. Time to nut up or shut up

I am confused by your post. You are saying survivors are crying about the upcoming changes because the god loops are gone? You also say the survivor mains are upset because now they have to rely on their skill level. This to me means it is gonna be harder for the survivors and easier for the killers.

If this is the case then how are we gonna learn who the real skilled killers are if the game is now easier for the killers by your words because the god loops are gone? Wouldn't it take more skill to catch the as you put it OP survivors in their God Loops and gen rushing then it would when there is no god loop?

  • It does not matter the game or anything. It is human nature to be toxic. It is where people who can talk tough and be as mean as they want because they know they can. They know they have the protection of the screen to save them so they will ramble off hurtful things. That is why I take what everyone says online with a grain of salt oh and some vodka! lol

I personally try my best to be as nice as possible to counter the toxic attitudes. I use to play League of Legends a lot! No joke I became well known through that community because I would befriend the most toxic people in matches and gift them new champions or even skins they wanted. I ended up making people that were super toxic actually start protecting people because they learned maybe if I am nice to people good things will come my way. I had to have given away at least 50 champions and god MANY MANY COSMETIC SKINS. I loved it though and enjoyed spreading the cure to the toxic community.

My most favorite moment was when a particular player on my team was VERY toxic and I said something like "send me a friend Request and I will gift you with someone to anyone that wants to"......well this player called me many names and after the game his friend added me and we talked and about 2 weeks later I gifted him a champion and skin. I then get a friend request from the toxic player and now he wanted to get to know me and we actually became friends and he ended up being a nice person not to just me anymore but to others.

I think it takes more bravery and courage to be nice then it does to sink to the level of name calling plus you get more respect taking the high road! =)

  • @THEFREAK420 said:

Yeah. I have to agree with OP. Its the most toxic gaming community Ive ever seen. I play on ps4. Dedicated Killer. I turn the option to message me on or off depending on my mood, how many beers Ive had etc. The amount of hate messages I get is crazy. Even if I didnt camp or tunnel. I get messages telling me I did, Im trash, i should kill myself (LoL), ive had players wish cancer and fatal car accidents on me. As far as Im concerned the madder they are, the better I did. Its A PVP game. Someone's not gonna be happy with the result in the end. And you can't win them all. I think its the younger "entitled snowflake" generation mostly that doesnt realize that. If they cant win every time its not fair, has to be nerfed. People even try to invent rules that only benefit them. Like no camping, tunneling slugging etc. But they think to DC on the 1st time they get downed is cool. I know killers are toxic too, but survivors are so much worse, they had to put end game collapse in because of them. And you can bet if youre tbagging at every pallet, flash light clicking, not readying up in lobby, Im looking to take you out first. If youre the only one I get Im ok with that.

No offense but you respond to a forum about toxic people by calling people snowflakes? There were probably many other ways to phrase it without name calling and being toxic as well.

I agree that that it is a game and not everyone is gonna be happy but it is possible to have a game where everyone is happy. I have done it it. When I play killer I never camp or tunnel. I know, I know it sounds impossible but here is a secret. It is not impossible. I see no fun tunneling people and what I do is go after the person that did the rescue. I never camp because I like to go and apply pressure and let the survivors get the rescue points. If you all play nice and fair everyone is happy even if I only get one kill I am still happy because I got max Chase Points and other max points and over 20k BP. I kind of get the feeling from what you say throughout your post that you do camp though and tunnel. I mean in your last sentence you mention how you are gonna look for that one person and take them out first. That sounds like tunnel mentality,

Also you say that there are more survivor toxic than killers and that is far from wrong. I would assume both are just as equal. You mention how end game collapse was added because of survivors holding up games but if they hold up games they only hurt themselves and out themselves at risk. I have had someone do this and I was actually gonna let them leave until they t-bagged and that was it. On the hook they went.

I have had just as many toxic killers as I have had survivors. I have had a killer who no joke refuse to hook me. He would let me wiggle free only to slug me again. I gave up wiggling and he just kept picking me up and dropping me to the point I would get free just so he could farm chase points. I mean yeah that may not be toxic but it is boring and holds up my game and makes it unfun for me to the point it feels toxic. I have had killers also who hook me and just repeat hit me over and over. This is not necessary behavior at all and is just as bad as those survivors who t-bag.

You also mention flash light clicking as toxic but I do it to get the killers attention in a hope that they will leave my teammate alone and chase me. It is not me being toxic but trying to save a teammate. The whole not readying up in lobby goes both ways. I also do not see it as toxic but maybe they are going potty or getting a snack or doing perks.

Either way in the end I am not saying you are playing wrong at all or whatever and actually say play as you like but to the actual topic at hand you kind of sound slightly like the toxic community the OP is talking about. I could be wrong but either way I hope you are staying well during these times. =)

That's why I suggested the ability to go down from tier 2 back to 1. It gives both sides a way to play it out imo. Killer gets more time wasted for survivors to go back a tier instead of gens. Survivors can either wait it out for gen work or go down a tier for fear of the tier 3 effects.

Exactly! I mean with this new madness now going down it just made me think oh well and now I do not care if I am in the terror radius or not. I will just do my gen and run. lol

I did have someone reply to me saying the madness level does decay but I think they were misunderstood and waiting for them to maybe explain to me and hope that I am wrong. He said this "They decrease now from madness 3 to 1 whereas before you could only decrease to madness 2." Unless I missed something the newest update said "Madness no longer decays passively over time.".

This is the newest update so not sure where this person got the news that we can lower our madness level but I would like to hear it if he did. The sad thing is like most people though when proved wrong they won't respond and he probably won't either now. =(

  • @swiftgiraffe808 Just was wondering if you read my reply and can maybe explain what they meant by it?

  • @plunder said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1199898#Comment_1199898

Doctor imo should have one change that I would like to see be play tested. You should be able to get out of tier 2 of madness. I can see doctor mains say this would kill his power but let's think this through. Survivor can decide either stay in tier 2 or wait till more agonizing tier 3. This would also make the doctor have more pressure by a survivor waste time to get back to tier 1. I'm curious how this would change him for better or worse but we cant truley know until we experience it firsthand.

I think the decay should be back because it kind of kills his power without it in a way. If you think about it every time a survivor reaches a new level the Doctor can see that survivors hallucination for a bit but if the survivor cannot go down anymore then they cannot go back up taking away that power. Am I wrong or just dumb? lol

I agree with you. I am sure without reading this post yet there is at least one person calling someone a name and acting tough because online we all can be strong independent women! lol I however believe in having spirited conversation and debates without the need to call names because I can make my point without being a bully and at the same time respecting others different outlooks.

The main problem and reason you won't ever see a non toxic room is because just like in the game people do not like to be challenged. It is why you will see many post about things being OP because something must be OP or broken and it cannot be the players skill. It is the same as you trying to point out why someone is maybe wrong and just like the game they cant lose or be wrong so you are a doodie head! ROFL jk jk

It's a sad but true thing but people find being toxic fun but it takes more to be the bigger person and be kind plus you get more respect in my opinion . I will never be toxic and enjoy being nice because it actually makes the toxic people EXTRA toxic and it's funny watching them get more upset than they hope you are getting. lol

They decrease now from madness 3 to 1 whereas before you could only decrease to madness 2. It also used to be a constant radius in treatment mode so he could walk around and it was a constant shock instead of a rechargeable power. There’s a whole thread about tips on what sound cues to listen to so you know when to go for a vault or drop pallets early etc... You guys really don’t know the killers very well which is why your dying against them or thinking their OP.

I read this in the updates and just asking if they changed it since then'

With the release of the next chapter, a few existing Killers will be receiving some slight changes.

    The Doctor

With the update The Doctor received in the last mid-chapter, there are now two ways to inflict Madness: Shock Therapy, and Static Blast. To make it clearer what is required to increase a Survivor’s Madness level, we are making the following changes:

    • Madness no longer decays passively over time.
    • Shock Therapy will add half of a Madness level to any Survivors hit.
    • Static Blast will add a full Madness level to any Survivors hit.

It says here as one of the bullets that the madness no longer decays passively overtime. I would assume that means once you are in Madness 2 there is no chance of going down to one. I mean I do not know any other way to take it than that.

This update is newer then the update you showed me as well. the update you used is from January 6th. I am sure there is noises and things to listen for but he is still hard to deal with. I mean that reach of his is kind of far. I understand it use to be a constant radius but now that fact he can stun and the madness level will not decrease makes it tougher to deal with. Then to add that with every level you go up he can see your location with each madness level increase.

If you want here is the URL- https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/130537/developer-update-february-2020#latest

"The new ability replacing Static Field is called "Static Blast"; this is mapped to the Active Ability button. After charging the ability for a short duration, it releases a blast of static electricity throughout The Doctor’s entire Terror Radius. Any Survivors caught in the area of effect are shocked causing them to scream and acquire an amount of Madness. If their Madness level increases, they also reveal their location to The Doctor as usual. "

I also do not think any killer is OP but was just making a point to this person. I wanted to point out that if he has a problem with the Plaque then the Doctor must be a nightmare for him.

For me it's a wasted slot now, because it is high risk/low reward compared to the old version. It may be good on Billy and Legion, but it still is a hex. PGTW and CI are much better alternatives

I hope that with the new map changes, low mobility killers will finally be able to compete with good red rank SWF

It was kind of always a High Risk/ Low Reward. No offense but it went either two ways. Once a survivor seen it was in play either they were good enough to work through it OR they just went and broke the totem anyway. It was never really a perk I used because it was never a steady use perk. Now people see it and don't think about it until they have to leave the gen and come back and its almost all undone again. I find it more annoying as a survivor now than I did before. I never was worried about the old Hex because I could skill check through it but now the killer chases me off the gen and by the time I get back to it half my work is undone.

I have to ask just because I do not play on PC but are SWF teams really that much trouble as in they pop off that often? I hear they are rare and do not actually show up that often but when they do they suck. I play on the switch and love it because there is no SWF or hackers. Sorry I only ask and maybe that is why things that bother you do not bother me as much. I am sorry this happens to you. I also want to say I hope you and your friends and family are safe and healthy. =)

They're both pretty OP, but the doctor is okay. He's counter able. While I hate playing against him, that doesn't mean he's really THAT op. He has some things that make me go ugh, but not enough for me to complain about it like the plague. I prefer him over the plague anyday for sure imo, but I get you bro.

Also you can avoid the zappies by hiding in lockers if it comes to that

Exactly how do you counter the Doctor and please do not say the Perk "Calm Spirit". I mean there is so many buffs to the Doctor that he is the killer that scares me most. If using the right items not only can he pretty much keep you stunned but then he can track you with the hallucinations.

Now the Plaque who is my all time favorite killer is tough but not impossible. I can hide from her and yes she has distance but I would rather deal with the Plaque then the Huntress. The Plaque can be stunned out of Corrupt Purge so no instant down and now offense but if she chases you long enough to vomit on you that many times to get you to the point you are broken then you need to learn to escape. The only way she can really insta down you is with that Corrupt Purge and that is easy to avoid.

The Doctor on the other hand can now shock from a distance and also in a circle raising everyone's madness level you can no longer lower it. I use to try and sneak around him to let my madness go down so I could keep from screaming but that isn't even a option now. There is no real way to take away his power like you can with Corrupt Purge and a pallet stun.

Sorry not saying you are wrong but just saying my opinion is she is not that scary to me. Hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy by the way. =)

  • @Snowstruck said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1199617#Comment_1199617

No, she can literally insta down. She just follows a survivor, constantly throws up on them, then hits them once they're injured.

And we can't cleanse, because then she can, again, insta down, because you legit can't loop her. Her vomit is too spiratic, unlike the huntress for example, with is loopable.

Well even if she get Corrupt Purge you can just loop and stun her and she loses it. It really is not that tough against her. I mean it can be but she certainly has more weak spots then say Doctor.

  • @Snowstruck said:

Seriously, why the hell did she get buffed? Not only is she overpowered as #########, but she's literally broken. She can get a whole team of survivors with no effort, and anybody can play her. You can't loop her, and she can basically insta down you if she finds you.

They need to do all of these or AT LEAST one:

Make it so she walks EXTREMELY SLOW when she's throwing up OR not move at all.

Get rid of the broken status. That's horridly broken, pun not intended.

    OR

Just bring back the original, before the buff. She was fine before, I played her before, and she was as good as any killer. Now I won't even play her, because she's broken. Please tell me other people agree and understand my hatred towards her atm- I hate playing against her, it's not fun.

If you think she is to OP then I would hate to hear what you think about the Doctor. There is no one you can hate the Plaque without hating the Doctor too. I would rather go against a Plaque, a killer that you can hide from at least, then a Doctor who just zaps the area and POOF now we all give away our location and are to crazy to do anything. lol

Oh and now madness levels do not decrease like they use to so no point in getting out of his terror radius. Now he is a OP killer.

I hope you are joking. lol

This one perk alone was not a make or break and actually I like it the way it is now. It makes it easier to pressure them off the gen while not having to kick the gens. I just have to scare them enough to leave them alone and it progresses down pretty quick. I use Pop Goes the Weasel now and love that combo.

reworking maps is justified also reworking the god loops. but changing the size of maps and also putting just 4 unsafe pallets, 1 jungle gym and 1 TL wall in every map is unbalanced af.

i cant deal with this unbalanced game anymore, and be sure you will lose a lot more players after this patch.

    good job BHVR!

I am not sure why you are so mad and I would suggest to at least give it a chance. I mean honestly every game of this type is as people say "unbalanced" but out of them all I prefer this game. I know everyone is saying this new Resident Evil game is good but it is only a matter of time before that too becomes unbalanced as people start to play more and hate to lose and refuse to blame their lack of skill. They like to blame the game.

I am sorry you are having a bad time but good luck in whatever you choose to play in the future and please do let us know if you ever find that perfect Player vs Player game that is 100% balanced.

  • @PNgamer said:

Hello, ive read so much about killer or survivor sided treads. Some people playing more survivors, some killers and most of us booth. But fact is, i never have seen a game triggered more than DBD. So can any tell why that so is ?

... i can remember when i was 6 years old and was playing outside with my friends, catch me if you can. Opinions over opinions ...is this the reason ? I have no idea

sry for my bad english grammatic

Honestly I think the reason the game like many other online games like this and even the new Resident Evil Resistance game get toxic players is for many reasons.

1- When people play online they can be brave and rude because they know there is no real chance of them actually having to deal with the person in real life. You will see many cowards who if they had to talk to your face in real life be the most toxic in games and online in general. It is their way of being tough but if you ask me I think the more toxic the person the more chance they lack confidence and are probably a coward in real life. They also tend to be people who name call instead of actually being able to carry a conversation.

2-The other reason is this player base is toxic is because people think the game is super unbalanced and need to blame others for their lack of skills or the bad luck streak they have. People cannot and will not take blame for being bad or something being their fault so if they lose a match it must be the game developers fault or maybe the others were hacking. The person playing will not take blame and say it was their lack of skill so instead they come here and post how Survivors are favored or how easy Killers have it.

3-Then you have to just think in general about people and it's cooler to be a troll and be mean then to be graceful and take the win or except the loss. No one ever takes the high road anymore and you are lucky if you don't see survivors teabagging the killer or the killer camping and slapping the survivor over and over on the hook.

Sorry this was a long response but these are just a few reasons this game's community may be toxic but it isn't just this game but any online game. I say give it time and even the new Resident Evil game will be just as toxic and people will be screaming it is unbalanced even though at the moment they are loving it. Once they start losing they will have to find blame and that is when the game will be called unbalanced and the toxic people begin. It is the cycle of these games and the only way I see to fix it is to be the bigger person and be nice even when its tough. It takes more courage and energy to be polite and be the bigger person than it does to just be toxic and be like all the rest of the toxic people. I like to be unique and be the rare nice person. =)

You are very cute. But you also prove that many who quit DbD can't quit without making a thread like this ,and then argue with everyone who doesn't hug them or something. It's hilarious.

Oh and if you find that cure then please let me know. Apparently I really need it, I hurt a lot of snowflakes.

Enjoy crossing your animals little boy.

    👋

I am not asking for a hug but showing others who come here screaming they are quitting "for good" that it is possible and smart to just take a break. I am also showing people it is possible to take a break without crying SOMETHING IS OP! I just decided to take a break and figured these forums are here might as well say see you soon.

Also I am not arguing with you because you did not "hug me" but because you decided to waste your time being a toxic and post the typical "good get out of here" response instead of taking the high road and just passing over this forum. I also see you enjoying name calling which to me kind of proves my point about the toxic attitude. Keep up the toxic attitude that I love so much. It gives me something to read and laugh about as you care enough to respond. =) Little Boy OUT! LOL

Also I have to ask when you posted this, "IF KILLERS GET NERFED AGAIN, ME AND A BUNCH OF OTHER KILLERS ARE PROBABLY GONNA QUIT", were you not looking for hugs yourself? Seems a bit hypocritical to be mad about someone posting what you call yet another I am mad so hug me post, but you can post a yet again killer is to weak and survivor is to OP post someone hug me and make me feel better post. The game would not die without you because others will take the roll of the killer sooooo SEE YA!.....LITTLE BOY OUT! lol

  • @Traslogan said:

Seriously, the title says it all. Why the hell did you nerf Hex Ruin? There is no longer any feasible way to slow down gen-rushing, you've made it a core part of the game, and 99% of all games are SWF now so they coordinate to ensure they max out the gen-repairs whilst always knowing where you are and what you're doing and who you're going for.

Honestly just make the Killer an AI at this point, because there's nothing left except specifically play Spirit and Nurse or you're not strong enough no matter the perks to stop the onslaught of SWF rushing where everyone has decisive strike so you can't hook anyone in the end-game-collapse.

Just a counter to the 99% of all games are SWF, I would like to see the research? I play on Switch and I have not one played with or against a SWF team. This just sounds like a person crying GIVE ME HEX BACK instead of learning other ways to play as a killer. I almost never used Hex anyway because it was a risky thing to use.

I have always used Pop goes the Weasel and other things like that because Hex Ruin can be cleansed so fast it was kind of pointless anyway.

  • I had a killer who would not hook me and I stopped wiggling because if I got free he only hit me down again. He then started dropping and picking me back up forcing me free only to get chase points. He had no real intentions of letting me go or anything but wanted points. Is that a version of griefing while farming?

I just am asking because I thought it was certainly toxic and he only seem to do it so he would get the points. I ended up D/C'ing because not only was it not fun but I refuse to be someones free points. I do not mind losing but play right and hook me.

I don't blame ya. When Resident Evil 3 (Single AND Multiplayer) and Predator: Hunting Grounds releases, I'm staying off DBD for a good long time.

I've not had a single person be toxic in Predator, and it really rubs off on me. I play INCREDIBLY nicer and more fair on Predator than DBD, simply because I'm certain that my opponent isn't some D-bag who wants to be a cocky punk (like PS4 DBD is in a nutshell).

I will say the fact these games are PvP to enjoy them while you can. Any game that is PvP will sooner or later become toxic. It is not so much the game but the fact people can be brave and tough because it is over a computer screen. I mean everyone is brave online but if we were forced to play these games in the same room I would almost bet on the fact people would not be toxic out of fear of REAL punishments. I am happy these games are doing well so far but it is only a matter of time before people are saying the predator is OP or the new RE multiplayer game coming out is more fair on one side over the other. It is human nature to complain sadly and find someone to blame other than ourselves if we suck at a game or something.

I have found solace in Animal Crossing. I have never ever played this game until now and now know why people loved it. It is cute and oddly relaxing. I do hope whatever you play stays nice and you can enjoy as well. =)

I understand that it why I responded with rebuttals instead of attacks. It's why I see the changes I suggested to be the most fair to both sides. I gave examples and reasons to how it works both sides giving benefits and negatives. True balance will never exist I know that. But with every response you gave me which I appreciate instead of attacks. I explained in detail how the changes never truly outpaced the other side in op status. Maybe one side gets a slight benefit more but its slight not oppressive.

=) Keep up the good work and I think with more people like you on here these forums will be less scary. lol I am afraid to ever post anything because it either goes one of two ways. The typical you are wrong because I am right and you are just a moron reaction. Not sure if my post loaded or not but sorry for replying same info but.

One different times is not a bad thing considering rarity of killer addons and lvl of the perk should effect times.

Two if a killer decides to waste a whole minute for a guaranteed drop instead of gen defense is something I will say that. Also slugging is something that can happen now so not a real difference

Just so you and others know I am not trying to at all say you are wrong but just kind of play devils advocate. Those are likely your reasons.

I came back both out of boredom and to collect some points but then learned the added extra points do not help unless playing killer because as a survivor I get killed to quick or camped on first hook.

I personally do not care that I paid for the game and the gameplay is slightly addictive I guess but I am known to play 2 or 3 rounds and then not play for a week or two. You may be right though. =)

I tunneled some person on wraith and they got a bit salty, and earlier someone told me to get better internet, ah the world of toxic survivors

I mean that is dumb to say get better internet but I do understand getting salty for a killer tunneling. I only say this because as a killer when I play it really is not that hard NOT to tunnel. I mean at least for me the only way to battle toxic players is not be toxic myself. I do not tunnel because I know how it feels to be both tunneled and camped and it is not a good feeling. It is like playing killer and learning you are dealing with SWF. It is a hopeless feeling and makes the game unpleasant. I do know people say it is a strategy but if you are gonna be a killer that tunnels or camps then do not complain when survivors use BT or DS to deal with you as though too are legit "strategies".

Just want to say I know you aren't complaining about anyone using BT or DS but before you do just know people might have them to deal with tunneling and camping killers. I would be ready to see them just in case. I still think play anyway that makes the game fun for you even if it makes others want to quit the game forever. =)

  • @Eleghost said:

Hard to say if they're toxic but something to really get them going is to throw blood warden on. Down one during End game preferably far from the opened door and wait till the bar goes below half. Pick them up hook them and see if they grab them. once that's done just sit at the exit gates and watch them tbag you into oblivion before they realize they can't leave and inevitably die to the collapse. It won't work every time but when it does it's glorious.

Rofl this is the best idea I have seen! I mean yeah it may not work but that one time it does would be worth it! I would probably laugh so hard I peed myself and then laugh at that too! rofl

  • I imagine they just hook a few people without ever fully killing them and they do not win many chases but they do just enough to get the first non-derank pip. =)

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1182911#Comment_1182911

Well first the 60-90 was for more borrowed time considering it meant to a anti tunnel perk. legion or gunslingers deep wound procs those would be different times accordingly. The time can always be changed to fit what's reasonable. You could also end the chase earlier then those 90 seconds I just meant the survivor cant just run forever as they can now with the timer pausing as they run. They still would have to take the time to mend if you left them alone so it still would waste time as it does now. So overall it would still be a buff considering current deep wounds can last longer then 90 seconds if they keep running pausing the timer.

It sounds pretty good but it would be weird to limit how different the DW effect works depending on the perk that got used. I would imagine people would get pissed saying why does DW work this way for BT but not that way for Feral Frenzy or for Deathslinger. That timer you mention would not be so bad for basic chases as Legion and Deathslinger. You run up slap them silly then as DW takes effect you can chase them and wait for them to flop on the ground. If this timer took effect as you got off the hook it wouldn't really stop tunneling because either way you know you would get them because if you didn't hit them twice the timer would. How would that help anti-tunneling if now the killer could chase you and the timer would just count down anyway and you wouldn't be allowed to mend? It would just provide the killer a new chance to guarantee a slugged survivor just by chasing the poor unhooked survivor by just chasing them and not allowing them to mend.

I do think you are on to something though. You are coming up with a good idea and at least trying. =) Sorry if I am being dumb but just trying to provide ideas as to why people will poke holes in any idea. I personally think things work well as is.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/140331/the-reason-killers-complain-soo-much-its-because-our-complains-are-ignored

Moris and Keys should honestly be removed from the game. They completely invalidate the core objective of the game by significantly reducing the amount of time needed to actually do anything. Keys don't require any skill to escape and Mori's only require 1 hook per person.

I wouldn't mind Mori's being added at base as a alternative way to kill someone on Death Hook instead of just rehooking. It would solely just be a different animation and for style points.

I like how you say Mori's and Keys should be removed but then say Moris should be okay as a last hook thing. Well then keys should be allowed as a the killer closed the hatch let me find it and get out because the doors are to close together thing.

Keys I agree are a bit to OP but not nearly as OP as Moris are. In order to use a key you need to do X amount of gens where X equals Survivors+1 gen. That would mean in order to let's say get an entire 4 man group out they still need to do ALL gens and then find the hatch which personally can be hidden and hard as hell to find. In my experience I have seen keys enter a match and never get used but when a mori comes into play you can bet your butt it's getting used. Moris on the other hand you hook and then the killer tunnels and person is dead. I love how people think a key comes into the match and I guess maybe its a hack but people act as though the game is over in 2 minutes because the survivors just skipped gens and made their own way out.

I personally don't use either I will say but I also have no issues with either but as a person who plays both survivor and killer I can say Moris are easier and stronger to use than a key ever has been for me. It may be because I have horrible luck finding a hatch or getting a team that ever does enough gens to make the hatch spawn but still for me moris are easier to use. I do agree though that they both should be cut from the game but then the doors need to be split further apart so the killer cannot camp both doors at the same time. I love when I play killer and you get to end game and you know the survivors are screwed because you can cover both doors because they are so close together.

It is, but what more can the developers do? If they remove SWF, the game will decline and stagnate. Being able to survive with friends is a huge draw in this game. People will always find a way to communicate in this game. Balancing the game around that is the best they can do, even if its not close to being at that stage yet.

I play on the switch and maybe I am lucky but SWF has not become a problem on here yet. I have over 1k hours played and have not dealt with SWF yet. I hate how that is breaking the game and sadly developers really can't deal with it. It is funny because I seen people that use mics say the developers support it. They do not support mics but just can't battle or stop it so their hands are tied.

I will say I do play with friends at times but we 100% HONEST do it without mics. It makes the game that much more fun. It is how it was meant to be played. We will play a few rounds then hangout someplace later and talk and laugh about how bad we did. lol

    And it keeps getting easier.

I play strictly Solo Que when I play survivor and there is nothing easy about it! I get potato teammates about 90% of the time and most the time I have to do at least 4 out of 5 gens if not all 5 myself only to get killed on my first hook because my teammates hide the entire game and then run for the exit leaving me to die. I don't know why everyone assumes EVERY game for survivor is easy mode or other think killer is easy. Every game is different and yes some or easier then others on both side but every game is different and that is what makes this game fun. It is a gamble of difficulty each round. I survive as a huuuman about 45% of the time. As a killer I actually don't play to 4k but to just have fun and actually just mess around with survivors. I like to make sure we all get points and will not tunnel and let each person do a little something. =) I normally let one or two survive as well. =)

I'm with you 100%. Whenever survivor gets a little too toxic to deal with, I will go play Killer because I find it more relaxing. I feel like it's me doing my part to try and make sure others catch a break from the toxicity. Sometimes I play no-kill killer and see if I can pip only 2-hooking everyone. Sometimes I just play normal, but am mindful of who I've hooked, who was last off-hooked, not doing the camp/tunnel/slug thing. I don't like ruining people's matches...even if it means they best me and I lose.

I DO THE SAME! I keep track of who I hooked and if I see someone get unhooked I will chase the person who did the rescue. I refuse to tunnel just because it is easier and people think gen times are to fast. I refuse to ruin someone else's fun and camp and hook just to get a 4k game. It is not about slaughtering and ruining peoples fun. It is about getting points and just having fun without taking the game to serious. I also agree and feel like it is up to me to try and show people that it is possible to be a killer and a survivor without being toxic.

I have had games where I will run along side of survivors. The only time it has bothered me is when the survivor t-bags and acts like the outplayed you. IT is like HELLLLLO I was right next to you the whole time and could have got you at anytime. I did have one game as plaque where I was gonna let a person go but they kept t-bagging and just being rude. I was like hhmmm how to get them out of the exit gate. I kept throwing up on them making them think that was all I was gonna do. Well once they were broke I threw up one more time so all they seen was my vomit and not me coming for them. I smacked them and hooked them. I hope they learned a lesson. lol

1 … 4 5 6 7 8 … 11
