It's alright for bp farming, I got 200-300% bonus bp as survivor at the moment. :P
-
I'm all for that. and give her a new mori please… the current one very uncreative and boring considering which franchise she originates from.
-
There are proper ways to report someone if you think they're breaking the rules. This isn't one of them.
-
Thanks for the good laugh mate 😂 Tbh I've never noticed her holding anything to begin with, but I can definitely see why you would think that. Although a bit far-fetched :)

Then the only thing I can think of is that she was running the Weighted Head add-on, which inflicts incapacitated for 10 seconds when she hits you with a hatchet.
If not that, then I don’t know.
She managed to M1 me so I don't think that's it.
Could also be that I panicked and tried to use my item before standing completely still. I don't know, just felt weird since I haven't experienced this before.
Thanks anyway! :)

What killer was it?
The Huntress

Thank you for this thread!
Met a nemesis earlier today who just m1d everyone and I thought it felt weird and that something was wrong. But I just dismissed it as bad play from our end, now I know there was more to it. :)

… Am I the only person who likes the casualification of this new system, the new colors, and the more beginner-friendly options for newcomers? We DO want new players to come in and stay, right?
Well we do.
But I think it's safe to assume that the old rift/challenge system was the least difficult aspect for new players. They still have to deal with the plethora of perks, add-ons, items, different killers and maps.
This might be a step in the right direction, but it's really far far from enough.
-
It's weird indeed, thought the whole point was to play with randomized perks and mess around with them,
If you want to decide which perks you get then the normal mode still very much exists.
Although I gotta admit that I wasn't overjoyed when I got No Mither, Self Care and Inner Strength once… 😪
-
Hopefully they'll give her proper heels while they're at it, if they fix this :3
-
Good thing you mentioned giving Dwight a Scooby onesie. Hooking or performing a mori on a dog wouldn't sit quite right with me, even in a game. :<
Would love the scooby gang in dbd though. :)

Maybe...
But making it reveal the killer constantly would probably cause an uproar of negativity towards it.
Dunno, Wiretap does pretty much the same thing but people don't seem to mind.
-
Hmm… remove oblivious and prevent you from being affected by it while inside the boons radius, and make you see the killers aura while both you and the killer is within the boons range?
-
I must protest. Bubba should have his own tier at the very top. The fact that you put him second highest is outrageous :(
-
These are some perks I've been using that have been rather helpful, although a bit situational.
Kindered (as some people have already mentioned), but combine it with Open Handed and the aura reading is insane.
Borrowed Time is a bit underrated when you're dealing with tunneling, especially during the end game. Killers rarely expect it since a shorter version of it is basekit.
Wiretap can also be very helpful since it shows which generator you're working on in addition to showing the killers aura i they're anywhere near. This can be very helpful if someone is looping the killer on the bottom floor and you use this on a generator on the upper floor.
-
I'm not playing alot of killer, and when I do it's usually trapper. His power is easy for me to understand, but I gotta admit that I'm tempted to try the new killer.
Having fun so far?

I usually wait to play Killer for a day or two so the queues are less extreme.
I’ve played against him a couple times and I can’t seem to figure anything out about him. How is he hitting me from the other side of a rock/debris? Why are they ready to attack again almost as soon as his jump ends sometimes?
Is there something I’m missing? why are people calling him bad?
Yea I've asked myself the same question. Guess I gotta watch some tutorials or something because every game is a stomp atm :>

Yes, what is the reason behind all the anti-sable sentiment?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/C4K0OUAWMXRW/screenshot-2025-03-30-142909.png
This sable will not fail either; she may disappoint you, but that is more likely do to user error. 😉
Most Sables I've met have been decent or good and I think most are rather reliable teammates <3. Meanwhile I'm out there giving Haddies a bad name (unintentionally ofc) by running in to walls or trying to body block while exposed and on death hook. :')
Edit: Typos
-
I'm a dirty survivor main and haven't bought a new killer in ages. So nah… Guess he'll be fun to face though.
-
I'm not entirely sure if I understand your first question, but I'll give it a go. Feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken.
"Do you think my observations, with anonymous mode off, are in alignment with your experience?"When people are under the influence of strong emotions they tend to become irrational, players in dbd are no exception. Admitting that you yourself made a mistake and therefor lost the chase is not something these players are likely to do, it's simply easier to blame it on external factors. External factors can sometimes be the reason you lost, but in many cases it is not. I personally do not engage with these people since their opinion about me or my gameplay is irrelevant to me.
"How often are you exposed to hate, anger and frustration if you play without anonymous mode on?"I play on pc with endgame chat enabeled, despite this I think most people are pretty chill. Their either say "gg", compliment eachother, or simply move on with their lives. Toxicity and hate are rare to me, but it does happen… just not very often.
"
What tools could we give to a players to reduce thevents that frustrated the player to express anger.e anger of another player, or circumvent additional anger from being generated? To prevent the balloon from expanding? Our goal here should be to emotionally get to the point"Whatever led to their outbust is irrelevant in my opinion, their emotional turmoil is not your or anyone elses problem. What we can do is to ignore it or wish them luck in their next game. As I said, many of these players are irrational and having a discussion with them is usually a waste of time. At the end of the day they have to take responsibilty for their own actions, emotions and how they treat others.
"
How else can I change someone's belief in DBD without making myself a victim of someone else's wrath?"You can't, not unless the player in question is willing to listen or change their mind. Sometimes I try to offer some ecouragement, or ask if they perhaps should play something else for a while since they're clearly not enjoying themselves. This is usually met with something like "I would enjoy this game if people like you didn't ruin it", so I usually just ignore them.
Taking breaks when this game starts to feel stressfull really does wonders and have helped me enjoy it alot more.
-
Both yes and no. I've had bots with wallhacks running the killer for several gens, and I've had bots bodyblock, blow up gens, miss healing skillchecks, and run to the edge of the map for no apparent reason.
-
What bothers me the most is the sbmm it's just not working as it should.
More often than not I'm getting stomped by someone far beyond my skill-level, or I'm matched against some/someone who just installed the game.
It's the main reason I'm not playing as much as I used to.
-
Huntress is fun to play as and against. She stays.

I think there is a "stun the killer x times" challenge atm…so maybe that's why ( not 100% sure though since I complete some older tomes atm so maybe I'm just confused^^)
I think it's a challenge in the current tome. You have to stun the killer two times in the same trial as Yui. So you're probably right ^^
-
I started playing trapper again after a long break.
I wanted to try out hubris, enduring and spirit fury on him. Having a blast atm, it's kinda fun watching survivors panic and predropp every pallet in range when they realize what perks I'm running. 😅
-
Hmm… I usually play killer without any slowdowns and I'm still having a good time.
Am I in the wrong here? 🧐
-
Thanks for sharing! Worked perfectly :)
-
- Skull Merchant, nothing with her mechanics but my soloq team will most likely dc/hook suicide against her.
- Legion, hate the mending.
- Trapper, literally makes me scared of walking around the map 😭
-
I really appreciate you sharing your story.
Comming out was never a dramatic or difficult experience for me, since I was lucky enough to grow up in a very accepting and open minded family.
That's why it's sometimes easy to take my own experience for granted and forget that it's not the same for everyone.
Your story serves as a reminder of that, and why representation and a nurturing environment is so very important.
It's somewhat disheartening when I hear other members of the lgbtq+ community say that we don't need things such as Pride anyomore, because being gay/bi/trans isn't considered a big deal anymore here (in Sweden). I guess those people were lucky as well, but became oblivious to the fact that their experience isn't necessarily everyone elses.
But I digress… I'm happy that you found someone you cherish, and I wish you two the best of luck and a happy life together!
-
A struggling wraith DCed after second gen popped and the said the he hoped our families would die in covid.
A Freddy reported me for "being toxic" after I used Head On to stun him twice while he chased my friend. He still got 4k.
A trapper accused us for genrushing when he went on chasing a Steve for the entire match. This Steve was obviously very good and you'd think breaking of the chase to apply pressure, or at the very least, try to use your traps would be a good idea.
Another survivor called me a crackhead when I defended a wraith who tunneled during EGC to secure one kill.
-
Open Handed, Kindered, Wiretap and Windows of Opportunity. I can see everything, sucks when you go against stealthy killers tho. 😢

I had a match where I let survivors do the objective and just went to Clown's caravan and did some target practice. It was pretty fun and the entire team joined in on it.
I love that! <3
-
I know the feeling. I'm playing survivor almost exclusively, and I'm pretty bad at it.
But I'm getting steamrolled almost every trial. Don't think I've survived more than five times this week, and that's including the killer letting me escape.
Despite that I'm constantly matched with very versed killers who outright slaughters me and my team, we're lucky if we can finish just one generator.
-
I also play soloq almost exclusively, save for a few games with a friend.
I guess it depends on what you perceive as camping/tunneling, but I don't think it's a common occurrence.
It happens, but usually I think it's the most strategic thing to do when it happens. like two gens left and no kills, or people swarming the hooked person (this can't even count as camping in my opinion).
-
Yea I don't get why so many players dodge lobbies with p100 survivors in them.
In my experience high prestige has never been proof of skill, quite to contrary to be honest... they're usually the ones who go down first and fast.
-
A Laurie once accused me of hacking because I kept finding her "no matter how good she was hiding" (her words). She was running Object of Obsession and probably missed the part of the description saying we can see eachothers aura (this was also the old OoO). Guess she thought only she could see my aura.
Since she was obviously new and not very good at the game I thought it was kind of cute, but it's also a bit sad that some people immediatly resort to accuse people of hacking instead of ransacking their own gameplay. :/
-
Not really, plenty of ways to deal with it in case it becomes an issue. It usually only secures one or two kills for the killer in the endgame, assuming the rest of the team isn't super altruistic.
-
At least they stayed in the game. I have people dcing against me when they realize that they can't blind me. 😐️
-
If I score higher than my opponent, I consider it a win.
-
Survivor used to be Adam because of his cosmetics. But I've switched to Leon lately because he is pretty, I'm also a Resident Evil fan and he has always been my favourite character.
As for killer I'm pending between Bubba and Yeehaw. Pretty straight forward gameplay that suits me.
-
The Wolfman, would be really awesome with a werewolf in the game. Would be kinda scary if he ran on all four while chasing you.

One Example would be, if the Killer has Tinkerer, it makes more sense to use the Toolbox when Tinkerer triggered - this way you have a higher chance of completing the Gen before the Killer arrives.
Another example would be to use Toolboxes on the last Gen instead of one of the early Gens. The first Gen(s) of the game are the easiest, every Survivor is alive, the Killer has low Map Pressure and all ressources (Pallets) are still on the Map. In the Lategame, the Killer might have a lot of pressure, Survivors are on Death Hook or even dead and there might be a lot of Deadzones. So it makes more sense to save the Toolbox until this point, to make repairing the harder to repair Gens (aka the last Gen) faster.
That makes sense, isn't really rocket science either now that I think of it. Thank you for taking time to help a noob out 😍

Mentality of DBD players in general. I played a single game of solo survivor and was singled out by the killer who said, and I quote, "You and your SWF buddies should kill yourselves."
He was going for adept Oni.
Again, I was solo, my friends list was public, he could easily check.
Don't make it a side war because both sides have people with issues.
This really. I doubt a toxic player playing survivor will stop being toxic just because he/she switched to playing killer. Generally there are only two kinds of people, good ones and bad ones.
-
As a survivor? No. And sometimes it's very frustrating to go only against red ranked killers since their skill usually overlaps mine by a long shot. I rarely feel like I have a chance of escaping 😥
-
A huntress slugging my entired team until we bled out. Don't know why, guess she doesn't like bloodpoints.
A Claudette sandbagging so I couldn't reach a pallet in time. Her and her friend later escaped through the hatch with a key, abandoning me and my friend.
Good game. I really hate people sometimes.

I done this challenge when I was close to the survivor who used Decisive Strike. This was unexpected.
Same. Had to think through the game after this happened, but concluded that this was the only plausible moment when the challenge could've been completed.
-
Dropping my firecracker by accident at the start of a trial. Blinding myself, probably some teammates and revealing our location to the killer.
It was a very experienced Leatherface we were facing. Needless to say that game did not last very long.
-
Chill. I enjoy trying out playing with different perks, I'm also not good enough to play to win all the time. It makes my experience more enjoyable.
-
Jake, because he brought Calm Spirit and Iron Will. Not screaming all the time helps.

I once went in to save a ttv on the hook and crouched near them because their pal was running the killer around the hook... I don't have BT so I had to wait and they got so mad at me for it. At the end he went to my name on the list and shouted "IT'S ALWAYS CONSOLE PLAYERS THAT PISS ME OFF THE MOST!!!!!!" and I felt so bad... My build is seen as one of those weak survivor ones but having so many people assume my style off of someone's TTV clips or from one match makes me so anxious! But yes, some TTVs and red ranks DC or suicide wayyyy too early! I'll never understand that :(
People seem to assume the worst from others I suppose. Waiting with the unhook until it's safe is always the best move, even more so if you didn't bring borrowed time. You'd think a streamer would understand this, or at least speculate, rather than flaming you. It's the same when people start trying to unhook themselves when no one is comming for the rescue the very moment they end up hanging. Let's forget the fact that everyone might be working on a generator which might be finished soon.
On a different note: Was looping a doctor pretty well, he dced when two gens popped. He was also a streamer apparently, such a shame x)
