What killers are you using?

Make them like the Preschool walls in Badham. Benefit to leaving them and a benefit to breaking them.
Or redesign them so that Survivors can sacrifice a pallet to build a wall.
23.The realm beyond is likely gonna be finished soon. Yet there is still criticism of the maps of still be grossly one sided one of these is Badham. It is criticized as still be hugely favored for survivor. There was one setup where it was the house of pain into a good pallet into shack into a good pallet into the two story house. I've discovered. While other maps are also still hugely criticized Shelter Woods should've had something added to the center and many maps will spawn many dead zones. Have the devs done a poor job changing the old maps and should they consider changing them again later on?

@WishIcouldmain I've actually never seen The Thing (I know it's a classic and I should!) but a military outpost sounds like it would be a spooky and interesting map!
Watch it as soon as possible it's a masterpiece in horror.
-
Pre nerf Hillbilly and Nurse pre buff Doctor and Wraith. Old Ruin. Insta heals.
-
The Thing from Another World
2 maps: U.S outpost 31 and Thule Station
2 survivors: R.J MacReady and Dr. Kate Lloyd
Killer/s: The Thing but it has many base forms maybe something original by behavior but also some classical.
And they have a chance for some interesting lore and gameplay.

The Game makes hallways where the Survivors are trapped if they drop a pallet and blocks mobility around the map.
Midwich has several really good loops that you NEED to break the wall on.
And MacMillan maps use breakable walls to justify infinites. Upstairs in the Ironworks and the Groaning Storehouse window come to mind.
22.What can be done to turn it around and make them more enjoyable and balanced in gameplay?
-
Depends on the killer

Midwich, Dead Dawg, The Game and MacMillan come to mind.
21.You've already explained Dead Dawg. But how have these maps been more messed up by breakable walls then others?

Yeah it is a bit but even though I cant see trapper traps for the life of me I normally spot hag traps pretty well
Very interesting I've seen a few smart survivors who were able to have fast reactions and get out of the lunge range
-
Gameplay wise Rusty Shackles will still make it harder for the survivors
-
Hillbilly, Oni, and Blight
-
Though a dirty combo you can do is Self-Care, Botany Knowledge, Resilience, Spine Chill. Get the heal 99 quickly then when the killer is coming pop the heal.
-
What killers were you using?
-
It's fine and has good synergy with Med-Kits and healing perks. The problem is the potatoes who self-care in a corner against sloppy against Plague with nothing else while a teammate is hooked and you're being chased. Actually happened to me also why I really dislike Claudettes.
-
With how open maps are and how good he is on low loops he can be this high.
-
That killer theme music provides more motivation and spooks the survivors especially if they hear Deathslinger. Or give them tons of confidence if they hear Trickster theme. Definitely hard to balance killer themes.
-
It's been for the gameplay

Yeah, I love Stranger Things a lot.
19) Dead Dawg, for me, feels totally unplayable before you kick some of the breakable walls. The Saloon is a nightmare prior to breaking the walls and there always seems to be a pallet in reach. The gens are also fairly difficult to access and are very safe. Plus, Claudette's actually disappear on that map
As Survivor, it feels like there are no safe pallets and that the map is extremely small. You can the first three gens easily enough, but the others are a nightmare.
As for fixing it, I have no idea. We just need to stop using breakable walls as an excuse to create infinites or god loops.
20.Which new maps do you believe lost a lot of their quality because of breakable walls?
-
@Pulsar said:

A Stranger Things 2 Chapter where we get Hopper and Joyce, a rework for Demogorgon to make him more like the show, and an event where the MindFlayer tries to assimilate the Entity's Realm.
Safe to assume you're a big fan of Stranger Things
19.Let's begin with maps up above you said o both sides your least favorite map is Dead Dawg Saloon. Map has been criticized often for killers the stealth is too good and gens easy too hard to reach. While survivors it's weaker loops. And small map size. What makes you dislike the map and what could be done to fix it?

Thanks for the interview @WishIcouldmain
1.) From a friend, he first started playing in early 2018.
2.) I've always found space fascinating, so I started studying it, but I was particularly drawn to pulsars and quasars, but quasar was taken, thus my name.
3.What is your platform?
4.What side do you main?
5.Of that side which character/s do you main?
-
Nah he's a fun killer and it's nice uniqueness that hooks and things related around them are separate from him. #NerfSpirit
-
Bringing in perks and add-ons Legion is the worst. Literally everything a good survivor does counters legion. Spread out to avoid snowball potential legion needs survivors clumped together. Don't heal against killers to save time Legion needs you to heal and he doesn't come with a power to incentivize survivors to heal. Since he has no chasing power to threaten them. Which on so many maps will hurt him.
-
Trapper as a Hag main I feel handicapped needing to bring a bag and still hobble around the map to collect your traps and so dependent on perks. I also don't like Wraith don't enjoy his hit and run and he's still so dependent on many things.
-
The Stalky bois.
-
They weren't able to play well and win and are simply frustrated. They could be lower ranks and heard gen rush off some content creator. And who knows what else they could have brought a weak killer on a strong survivor map. But there will be salty killers who are losers. Even if they bring a strong one with good perks and add-ons.
-
I would say something to break them. Though rebuilding them would be trickier to balance.
-
While both will shut down Body Blocking Agitation can save time making it better
-
Just looped a Wraith for four gens on Haddonfield he DC'd. Wraith seems good but once you get to the best survivor maps Wraith will cry.

44- I'm split on this.
sometimes yes, breaking the wall or not are both valid choices and you feel like jason going through those walls.
other times I have no idea what they were thinking. because sometimes breaking the wall is either absolutely necessary, or the single worst decision you could ever make. and if the decision is that binary, why even have the breakable wall there?
45.We're gonna wrap this up now but final question is the game heading in the right direction? If not what can be done to fix it? But if it is what do the devs need to do to keep it up?
-
Although I would definitely still be annoyed and a killer as strong Blight doesn't need a mega slowdown build. Personally with my killers I run one regression perk. And get a little more creative.
-
@dbd4life said:
i agree that this is a toxic killer build, easily countered by 4men squad and a nightmare for solo players.
i would suggest u a build.
Spine chill first of all. you would be alerted against blight players or nurse players etc that rush to ur gen.
take DS because you know DS can save lives and also give you some points.
Unbrekable Because you know it can save life.
and Sprint burst or dead hard, which you love most. because you know, sprint with spine chill is very safe escape from killers. and dead hard is very situational but can save lives(if it works).
i dont disagree with you tho, i think maps are the real problem in dbd right now and hooktime.
maps are getting more killer sided than ever before so solo players cannot do much when they stuck in dead zones and they lack skill to avoid the killer, ofc with sprint burst and spine chill combo u can manage it tho, right now the problem is that maps are small and easy for killers.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvFRnyYxeYQ
this is example to small map with 9 pallets which some of them are unsafe pallets. and loads of dead zone, u only have 1 zone safe around the map next to the main building, and the entire map beside shack is unsafe.
fun fact i got this map with 6 pallets before i decided to recorded it, lol.
That's RNG being more inconsistent then ever. One day I got a whole desert on Wreckers Yard. Another I got Groaning Storehouse with Jungle Gym into Killer shack into two good loops, into the Storehouse.
-
I do disagree with this. Ruin + Undying + Tinkerer is no longer as strong you make it to be. Like how DS + Unbreakable + Dead Hard isn't as strong as it's made out to be now. Tinkerer is very strong with killers like Hillbilly and Blight. But outside of mobility killers it's pretty lackluster. What good does Tinkerer do for a Myers or Huntress on Mother's Dwelling, Blood Lodge, or Thompson House with how far apart gens are? Or on Badham, Haddonfield, or the Game where the stealth doesn't matter since the survivors will be right next to a great loop or pallet? So yes Tinkerer is brutal on mobility killers. But, should we say Thanataphobia is very strong because it works so well with two killers. Or Stridor because it only works on Spirit but so well? Simply no. New Undying + Ruin isn't nearly as strong either because instead of 4 totems it only takes two. And there are so many instances where you're spawning right next to totems and with how loud Hexes are it's not uncommon for this build to be obliterated in the first minutes. And even quicker on maps like Autohaven and Ormond. So now yes you can say what if it's Lerys or the Swamp and then yes it'll take a while and there's a good chance the build lasts a while but that's the map not the perks. So while yes Tinkerer + Ruin + Undying is a strong build could've agreed old variation was OP but the new variation isn't OP. And BBQ still balanced.
-
Although I don't play Plague much. Blood Echo on her is dependent on how the survivors play. It is safe to assume Dead Hard is in play. So it could force them to cleanse to keep it available. Or there's a chance they still push through. And Plague's snowball is inconsistent so it could not matter that their dead hard is removed. So I'd say run it for a while there is obvious synergy

Haddonfield. it's the worst of them.
then red forest, and then swamp.
I think hawkins is fine actually. qualifying or not, I don't think it needs it.
44.Do you believe the devs have been successful balancing the breakable walls into the older maps?

u will if survivors are decent enough, if they are the solo chill survivors you will face most time of course you wont, but you would of beat them with an average killer aswell because most survivors have no clue about how to play against hag. im not impressed when i see random duds running to the unhook, is just a sad story that repeats itself consistently even in rank 1 wich is worse.
but still dont get me wrong what is a good hag? a hag who place traps around a 3 gen and nearby, and spam Ctrl to instantly TP, INMESE AMOUNT OF SKILL THERE dude! oh yes get outplayed.
you dont need bassement but you do the same instead of using bassement and playing around it you play around a 3 gen web and chase only in your web wich is if u are smart around the gens you want to protect . hag is an easy killer to play as, in fact u dont even play survivors do it for you, is one of the easiest killers in the game but most people are terribler with her for whatever reason, in fact was my first main, the first killer i made it to rank 1 back in 2018 when i started due how easy it is to play her even for a begginer and stomp survivors, but there is no skill or "god" hag, a good hag is a hag that played a couple of matches or just seen a youtube video explaining about how to use your traps with efficiency, choke points and sinergy perks, there is no much more.
A Hag who is able to set up a web and keep it up Hag still won't need basement. And you can't spam the teleport button constantly otherwise you click the button right before someone triggers you trap and you won't be able to teleport at the right moment. And please don't treat Hag like she's on the level of Spirit in terms of easynes. Is Oni easy because someone looked up a video on how to use his power most efficently? Yes a good Hag will know how to keep their web together and look for checkpoints but when against very good survivors you'll find out if a Hag is good or not.
-
Yes should be buffed to 60 seconds(Although current one is underrated). It's already worthless against Legion or Plague. Pretty underwhelming against killers with an Instant Down. And I see many Bubbas. As well if instant down perks are in play. Can be also weaker against hit and run playstyles. However against Nurse and Spirit played with Iron Will it can be devastating and bring pain. Against the normally strongest killers in the game as we as Blight. But on maps with little Los breakers. You can be dragged in a long chase and the timer wasted.

luck has basically no effect and when it comes to survivors it becomes "you have a slightly less enormous chance of dieing if you try jumping from the hook". it's terrible.
let's say you use everything, 4 up the ante, 4 of the best luck offerings + slippery meat.
it adds to 56%. which may sound great. you have less than 1/64 chance of not escaping the hook by you 6th attempt.
but you had to waste 4 offerings and 5 perk slots(assuming only you have slippery meat).
by yourself, slippery, 1 up the ante and 1 jar, it's just 20%. which gives about 3/4 chance of you escaping the hook by your 6th try.(73.something%)
for anyone else without slippery meat, adds to just over 2/5 chance of escaping. (40.7%)
and all this, just for the very first hook stage. and you might just die anyway, specially without extra up the antes and jars.
Luck makes you use a lot of resources, for a return that may not even work.
and that is 90% of the time unnecessary, since someone can just unhook you.
It's just not worth having
while maps have very immediate effects, and them being random makes it so no one knows the "correct route" during a chase. Making it so you need to make decisions on the fly, which makes it more interesting.
nothing, the offerings can stay.
43.Of the maps guaranteed to be reworked Haddonfield, Backwater Swamp, Red forest which do you believe should be reworked first? And does Hawkins qualify for a rework?

Ruin Undying is balanced on some maps on others its unbelievable
Fair you're either getting Ormond and Autohaven where they're cleansed in a few seconds. Or Lerys and Midwich and they last the whole game
-
@Sup3rCatTree said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2193128#Comment_2193128
My reaction is they are going to sweat with their Ruin undying and slug the whole game and place 69420 traps around the whole map
Ruin + Undying is balanced it only takes two totems to break it. And any Hex perk is a gamble on Hag they're either on the other side of the map and nothing you can do end up with two perks or she does spawn next to at least one or two of them and she can protect them easily. And any Hag who goes across the map to guard those two totems is putting themselves at a huge disadvantage. So what about slugging? Should we punish Oni because it's best for him to slug since it means wasting his power. Same with Hag why pick up a survivor and risk your set up ruined? When you can more effectively apply pressure. While keeping you web intact. And no good Hag is gonna put there traps around the whole map you'll beat a Hag who does that.

Rusty shackles makes her better to play against tbh, because at least your camera isn't being yanked around everytime you trigger a trap and messing up your movement because very well-designed and interactive killer.
It'll feel better but overall it'll make it easier to win for Hag.

My number one is Trapper, but I do enjoy Hag a lot! I know she's not everyone's cup of tea (and that is absolutely ok!), but I find her pretty fun (she has some really awesome cosmetics too). And in regards to the post, I have had matches where teams were either popping traps I couldn't teleport to in time, or disarming them with flashlights while gens were flying. But I was putting them down when not actively chasing to keep em on the map and keeping focused.
The way of the Hag set tons of traps.

I rather they remain random.
42-Why so when you want luck offerings removed? And what do you think should be done of map offerings?
-
@EQWashu said:
Very good advice, especially so for killers like Tapper or Hag that may need to re-set traps during the match. Even all these years later, I can get a little anxious if I feel gens are going by too quick, but a deep breath and re-focusing and I go back to looking for survivors and applying map pressure.
Are you a fellow Hag?
-
@Alice_pbg said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2194660#Comment_2194660
slippery meat could give you extra time on the hook. let's say 10 seconds for each stage.
up the ante, you spawn holding a random item with half the charges. (never keys)
monstrous shrine, hooking someone in the basement decreases all survivors action speed by 20% for 1 minute. 2 minute cooldown after the 1 minute passes.
41-What about map RNG should it remain random or standarized?
