39 - Luck actually doesn't influence chests at all... counter intuitive but it is what it is.
keep the 4%.
just remove the concept of "luck" from perks. it's unnecessarily confusing and quite useless.
40.What could the luck perks be turned into if they couldn't be removed?

gotcha.
The one theme I found between the worst perks, is that they are luck related or rng related. Slippery meat, Up the Ante and monster shrine, luck should honestly just be removed from the game.
39-Then what would be done with item chance out of chests and 4 percent hook escapes?

I mean, I'm not playing hag myself a lot (which doesn't mean I don't understand her) mostly for fun, and that's my build right now is Ruin, cruel limits, BBQ and knock out (franklin eventually or smht)
For fun that's fine, but would you like my view from a more competitive standpoint?

on even god hag, just good or decent
If you're on the weaker end like okay or mediocre then it's likely that Hag will be running Agitation and Iron Grasp. But Hags who don't need basement will get more creative. MYC, Blood Echo and Sloppy, Agitation and Starstruck.

it also makes you die to every other killer in the game
so, y'know. not really viable, since the game doesn't tell you which killer you're up against.
That's what I'm saying it only works against Spirit

that never happens because almost no one play hag but yes, if a good hag appears most likely you will go to bassement and is gg, not much skill, not much "god" in there sicne is not a hard killer to use but is not fun i can say for sure.
i do consider myself a decent hag aswell, its been a long time since i lost with her and when im close to losing is becasue i never managed to place someone in bassment to immediately win the match.
Oh trust me once you see a god Hag she won't need basement.

It makes you completely silent against even Stridor.

Or there is the secret option of running Iron Will and No Mither.

Hope and pray.

With MYC and Rusty Shackles

Tell me your reaction when you see a god Hag.

When good connection and a good survivor is involved it's a problematic. When those aren't involved.it can be lackluster.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/250269/why-do-people-call-doctor-op
First, Nobody has ever said Doctor was OP. Second, he needs to be changed because of his ability. 99.999% of doctors run Ruin/ Undying and want to slow the game down as much as possible. there are add-ons and perks that make his terror radius literally 72 meters. If he has Clorophobia + Sloppy that can be a nightmare. He just spams his ability and it's annoying because you can't do anything and he gets a free hit every time if he uses it correctly
So nerf his add-ons then is what you believe is best. Since it'd be stupid to nerf Undying again. Assuming you don't spawn on the hex or are on Autohaven or Ormond. And you're really making it seem like he's OP.
-
@Sup3rCatTree said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2192749#Comment_2192749
Just like I said he will spam power, and if he's good he can make basic predictions and some add-ons make survivors more visible
Predictions don't equal certainty. And on some maps where a Doctor will suffer like Badham that lack of certainty will cost him.
-

2 pallets? I said one. Did you even read the post???
Yeah you said you drop a pallet then he goes and blood lusts a pallet. If you wanted to show it was the same pallet replace a with the. Since the way you described made it seem like a second pallet was in play.
-
@Sup3rCatTree said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2192715#Comment_2192715
Second, a T and L wall is 1 loop. So it took him 2 loops to down me. Underpowered? This wasn't even a real game I was explaining the basic spam his power aspect
You spam his power great. On maps with Los breakers, long loops where his base won't reach, as well being large in size, and if survivors play safe and pre drop pallets Doctor will have a hard time.
-
@Sup3rCatTree said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2192715#Comment_2192715
I was describing a basic doctor game, the loops don't even matter. You're just searching for the most useless evidence to support your point when it doesn't even make sense
And you just said a basic doctor game it took two pallets and a loop for him to down you. Which can make him seem weaker. With two of some of his best add-ons. Which Doctors don't always run.
-
@Sup3rCatTree said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2192697#Comment_2192697
? Where are you getting where I said he's balanced? I never said in the post that he is balanced.
Well your first incident isn't exactly the best way to say he's too strong. Because the way you described it it took three loops before he was able to downed you. Which makes it seem he's a little weak. And three loops ran is at least one gen done.
-
Yeah people are overreacting to what Camping and Tunneling is they have too broad a definition.
-
So he's balanced. But he's unenjoyable to face? Just making sure

I don't think I understand what you mean.
but if i understood, I don't think it matters. People will use whichever perk they want or think is best.
People don't use an anti-tunnel perk because it's anti-tunnel, they use it because it gives them the best chance at winning (or they just felt like using it).
so the devs don't need to focus on any one type of perk, they just need the perks to be worth using over what we already have.
What I meant was are there perks meant for a category of gameplay in need of changes the most. Anti-Tunnel perks mean Second Wind or Decisive Strike. Or Anti-heal perks like Sloppy Butcher or Coulrophobia.
-
Went down to brown ranks felt bad for a Wraith on Haddonfield. And a Meg head on Shelter Woods.
-
Nurse had her nerf and people are aware there's nothing can really be done with her considering when she was created. And I think it's a respect thing considering Nurse's skill cap compared to Spirit's. And at least from personal experience I've done better against a Nurse then Spirit.
-
@Alice_pbg said:

37 - Yes. even if it makes the game boring for someone, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
It's like, a boxe fight. Guy A gets a cut above his eye.
and then guy B, starts aiming at the cut. because if the cut opens and guy A bleeds too much, the fight ends earlier and guy B wins.
some people might say "guy B is not fighting fair" or "guy B shouldn't be allowed to do this". They are allowed to have their opinions of course, but at the end of the day, guy B is playing by the rules and just doing his best to win.
Granted, I would appreciate if people tried to play in a way where everyone has fun in the match before going for the more competitive strategies. But if someone wants to go for them right away, they should be allowed to.
I find this whole "The game should force people to play in a way I think is fair" mentality, that we have here, to be quite silly.
Do people go into online forums of fighting games and say "I tried to play online, but the other guy just did 3 combos and killed me without taking damage. I think if you are killing your opponent too fast, the game should stop your character and let them hit you"?
Do people go in racing games forums and say "If you are more than 1 km in front of the 2nd place, 2nd place should rubberband to get closer"?
Sports games "if you are winning by X points, every time you score it should only count for half a point"?
it just doesn't make sense.
If I start tf2 rn, would I like to be on a team with less than 4 spies and 3 snipers? yes, but the game shouldn't force that. because people are just playing in a way they have fun playing.
38. Is there a particular area of perks the devs should work on to be played more like Hexes or Anti-tunnel perks?
-
Unfortunately no clue when.

36 - The change was good.
There are in game punishments already. your emblem gets a negative score, you are not applying pressure to the other survivors so they are free to do gens and you stop getting bps since you're not doing anything.
also, you shouldn't really punish a strategy that is, at points, your best strategy.
37. Same for Tunneling?

no. it's amazing with iron will, by it's great by itself aswell.
36. Borrowed Time was also changed a shorter time but no longer will Freddy, Stealth Killers, and Insidious Bubba. But many said this was bain aid fix to camping that many say needs a base punishment. Do you believe the BT change was good? And should there be an in game camping punishment?

absolutely. 90 seconds was way too much.

35. Some have said that it was only good with Iron Will do you agree?

I think Legion.
their power is just... so underwhelming. And really doesn't reflect their character as a gang.
specially after the changes to deep wounds. (the changes itself are good, but are quite the nerf to legion)
like I said before, you can't just delete a character and completely change how they play. at that point, you're just making a new character. But I think legion should probably drop deep wounds, and gain a new mechanic.
Like, you still GOTTA GO FAST and stab multiple people, but instead of them all getting deep wounds, they get injured and receive a laceration meter, but each stab increases the laceration. so 1st person gets 20%, second 35%, third 50%, 4th downed instantly. So Legion still keeps their spreading damage thing, but it's more useful.
the laceration won't go down, but gets removed after healing. which is an incentive to heal against legion, since people tend not to.
and using your power on an injured person won't be pointless 99% of the time, as it is now.
(and just in case anyone wonders why a down on the 4th strike... how often do you even get 4 strikes? it's fine to get a good reward there).
Pig needs an addon pass. half of them are pretty much useless. and I know I'm in the minority, but I would like RSN2 to be base kit. Or the better option, change between normal RBT and RSN2 RBT without having to waste an addon.
also, she could use some extra speed while crouched. and I wish she still had her 28m terror radious.
Hag needs just 1 change. after an unhook, the traps around the hook, up to X distance, are destroyed.
These are the ones I feel confident speaking about. I think the twins could use some buffs, but I rarely play them, so I don't really know.
34. Recently Lucky Break was buffed in the PTB many were excited that there was finally a new survivor perk to join the meta. But it was cut in half and not used often. Did the devs make the right move in reducing the timer?
-
While yes even in high ranks it's most likely a high rank Nurse or Spirit will crush you. Once you learn how to loop on maps like Badham Preschool, Disturbed Ward, or Groaning Storehouse it gets a lot easier against the other killers.
-
You're gonna get hit the first time that's inevitable. Then Wraith looses his element of surprise against you and you can use that info to properly place yourself next to good windows and pallets where Wraith's lunge is weak.
-

As someone who plays killer and survivor an equal amount, I can safely say playing killer is so stress free and easy it’s like equivalent to playing cod against toddlers and playing survivor is so damn annoying and ridiculously difficult it’s dumb. Killers are OP atm, this is a fact killer only players need to understand. Whether it’s the perks, the base killer itself or the fact that the killer can hit you when he isn’t even facing you. It’s ridiculous. They need to accept this fact, and stop replying to survivor players bringing up valid points with “get gud” or “nice bait”. (I am a rank 7 survivor and a rank 6 killer btw)
Badham Preschool, The Game, Ormond, Groaning Storehouse, Gas Heaven, Family Residence, Ironworks of Misery, Asylum, Chapel. Are survivor sided maps from the reworks where smart survivors will ruin all but a few killers. So survivors aren't as helpless as you make it out to be.
-
While your reason for loosing isn't a reason to nerf a character. Spirt is need for a overhaul and it's a tragedy Hillbilly was nerfed before Spirit

Which surprises me that hag isn't played more often. Usually people gravitate to what's strong, but she seems so rare.
She's too unique for some. Most people wanna chase. And Hag is the only killer that doesn't want to chase. Although she can put up 4ks like Nurse, Spirit, and Blight. And contrary to believe she has a high skill cap.

Yeah it's worth on it's own it's okay. But has great synergy with Ruin, Surge, and Oppression

There's a clear indication she's phasing, you would've noticed it by now if you had enough experience in the game. I don't feel like revealing it though just to keep bitter players that aren't willing to get better boiling under their own frustration.
What is this indication?
-
@Alice_pbg said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2185210#Comment_2185210
32 - She needs a "roar". Like the pig. when pig starts her dash attack, she roars. She might stop early and not actually do the dash, but the roar still comes out.
you gotta give something similar to spirit.
when you start going into phase, there's an obvious indicator. Doesn't need to be sound based, it can be purely visual, but it needs to be fairly easy to see.
You can still fake going into phase, but you can't just stand there, it will require a bit of a commitment (and having a full power bar).
I think this would solve most issues people have with spirit.
33.Are there any other killers in need of change rather it be a buff, rework, or a nerf?
-
@QwQw said:
I'm in the same boat, I don't really think Nemesis or Mr. X fit in this game.
In my opinion there are vastly better options for a killer.
What do you mean? in Resident Evil 3 we see him get looped around in the same building and even stabbed by some rock lying on the floor Decisive Strike. He is a perfect fit.
-
Her camping of all traps around the hook by noob Hags with Noed can be changed. But that's it and would need to be done right. Don't change anything else Hag shouldn't loose her strength and uniqueness.

like an 8/10.
it's important, but not exactly top priority. the game still works fine.
optimization should be priority #1. and #2 is bugfixing.
32.Spirit has had an interesting history. She was the first killer in a while to compete with Spirit as the top killer in the game too some. At a cost Spirit might very well be the most hated killer in the game. She is often criticized as there's no feasible counter play since survivors have no knowledge of what she is doing compared to the other top killers. And there's little as frustrating as vaulting the pallet to know she was standing there waiting for you. And the few who defend her say she does have counter play that often comes down to it's only 5 seconds. Someone even acted like she was a normal killer. Do you believe Spirit needs a change? And if so what can be done to make her fair?

No so much, as far as I can tell. I think I managed to hit an immune survivor once or twice, but that was it.
If I may share with you my idea for a Freddy rework, here it is:
Pull survivors into the Dream World
-Survivors who are awake do not see The Nightmare.
-Once targeted by The Nightmare’s power, survivors enter the Dream Transition for 7 seconds.
-During the Dream Transition Survivors can see glimpses of The Nightmare and they suffer from the Incapacitated status effect.
-When the Dream Transition Lapse, the Survivor is pulled into the Dream World.
Once in the Dream World:
-Survivor’s auras are revealed to The Nightmare when they are outside of his terror radius.
-Survivors suffer an action speed penalty of 40%.
-To exit the Dream World, Survivors can find non-sleeping Survivors to perform a wake up action.
-Failed Generator Skill Checks can also wake up.
-Hooked Survivors wake up.
Special Ability: Dream Projection
-Teleport to a Generator in view. Releasing the button early will cancel the action.
-Survivors cannot interact with the targeted Generator.
-For each Survivor in the Dream World, the cool-down of using Dream Projection is reduced by stack-able 20%.
“You have nothing to worry about. This won’t hurt one… little… bit.” -Freddy Krueger
I've considered the old aura ability it could work. Another idea I've considered to do with madness but it'd be tricky to implement.

No, I use Iron Will. Mostly for the additional consistentcy, because even by itself its stupidly good. Iron Will just provides an additional moment for you to smokebomb in after the initial hit.
Edit: If you're talking about other meta perks, no. I stopped using Exhaustion months ago out of boredom and disturbance at my own crutching. BT is for safe unhook challenges because I normally bodyguard the unhooked survivors any way. DS I never use, nor UB. They're so inconsistent.
No just perks that can compliment Lucky Break well since I've heard it need Iron Will to work.

Oh, good to see that our lists are similar :)
And an idea for Freddy? I am all ears, my friend.
I brainstormed this since he has good potential to be unique once more. I have a few ideas but I have a simple one for now Freddy first has his add-ons buffed they're not good. Freddy still has a sleep timer but it takes longer he no longer can hit them asleep but will put them asleep like the OG Freddy. But since it's harder he can have both snares and pallets base. That is a simpler one to at least get his originality back. I am thinking of other ones though. And how much has that 30 seconds immunity affected Freddy?

Same I think legion is worst also but tricksters is weird to place because he is easily the most map dependent killer you get an open area or a low loop your going down but then you get any generic tile or tall wall you win
Unlike legion where he will almost always get an injure but then is a m1 killer
And the best survivor strategies often counter the whole purpose of his power.

Maybe if people actually learned how to juke a good Plague people would stop complaining about her, instead of witholding her power from her in favour of sitting on gens and creating the double whammy of not many good plagues and no-one knowing how to play around her main power.
You're also completely ignoring that those are very rare killers to go against and that there isn't another extremely strong one-use perk in the game even remotely as consistent as Lucky Break. I successfully use it in about 4/5ths of my trials. None of them are that good. DS? Not any more. UB? Never was. Deliverence? Nope. Even BT, DH and IW by itself aren't as consistent.
You use Lucky Break on it's own with no support?
-
Basically since his 1v1 is so devastating. And has good stealth. Despite his slowness, And the fact he can't snowball effectively without perks or add-ons due to his one shot and limited range
