  • Things do happen, It's just that someone has to check out the report and I imagine they get a lot of reports flying at them.

It also doesn't help that there's people on both sides that will report nearly anything they don't like as "toxic".

  • Though survivor may be a bit easier, they both can be equally frustrating at times.

  • I think there is a bit of difference between slowing the game down, and cutting the game short.

Enduring - they want to work with Stuns without having to keep Enduring in mind. Enduring is still a really good Killer Perk for M1-Killers. Its not like it is useless or anything else.

Tinkerer - this Perk was changed for a reason. It was a very specific Perk which only affected a few Killers or Add Ons. It is good that they changed it, because, again, they can design Killer Powers or Add Ons without having (old) Tinkerer in mind.

Brutal Strength - I am totally up for a Numbers Buff, even tho I think Brutal Strength is a solid Perk already. I have read something on the Forums about that it might become too strong, but well... I was not around when it was on 30% at Tier 3, so I cannot 100% say anything about it.

Predator - eh, who cares about Predator?

Besides that, calling 3.7.0. a "terrible killer update" is as wrong as it can be.

    disgusting, I know.

The entire purpose of moris was to implement a cool killing animation for each killer into the game. The purpose of moris was not to give you an advantage. Now that we have perks like Rancor and Devour Hope, I don't see a purpose for moris in the game. And if we delete moris, then killer rank will be more accurate since some killers won't be boosted by overpowered offerings. Moris are annoying, because they unfairly rob you of your chances to escape. There are lots of times I would've escaped a trial if not for a killer's Ebony Mori. If Mori offerings were to stay in the game, then they should only let you kill people on death hook to keep the imbalance to a minimum.

I don't know about that. If they wanted it to be simply a flashy way of killing a survivor, then they wouldn't have made it so that you could instantly kill a survivor on first down like its first iteration.

I think mories are like a lot of the other "busted" things in this game. Something that someone thought would be cool... that it. No real thought put into it other than a "wow" factor.

I don't think even deleting mories would show more accurate ranking for killers as ranking doesn't show skill in the first place. It's easy to rank up as a survivor and it's easy to kill boosted survivors. Boosted survivors feed and create boosted killers either by out right dying or by sabotaging their team.

Not that I don't agree that mories are OP. They are, and looking at Pyramid head's "mini mori" makes think that maybe they should make it like that.

Speed up Mori animations, but make them on death hook so you do get some benefit from it.

  • I have noticed a few times of survivors teleporting. I had a Feng warp jump from shack to the door of the center structure on Ormonds yesterday. Though I think she might have just been put on a far server without noticing the ping. She would stutter for a few moments randomly and not at really "convenient" times.

I am wondering how the in development "sanity check" system will work for situations like these.

  • I think it just might be more of a flavor text thing. I guess "gunslinger" doesn't evoke the thought of a supernatural killer.

I doubt it has to do with the character. I don't think Fallout 2's protagonist being called "The Chosen One" means it's the only character ever to be referenced as that.

    I've only played Spirit twice and got a 3k and a 4k. I'm a Rank 1 Killer player.

I just slapped on Stridor, BBQ and Pop and was good to go. She doesn't really have any learning curve. If you're good with standard 115 Killers and looping, Spirit won't be anything new at all. It's basically mindgaming except the Killer has all the control and the Survivors are the ones guessing.

It's just crazy to me that Spirit is so strong, yet so unbelievably easy to pick up and play. Killers like Nurse and Billy I can't do anything with. But Spirit piece of cake. Survivors will literally give you free downs and hits if you stand still. It's easier to get hits with Spirit's power than Legion's Power and you can down Survivors and don't have a fatigue

Yeah, I always hear people saying how hard she is to play and that justifies her power.

And that is true if you've never played killer before, or haven't discovered that you don't have to expend all of her power at once. Short phasing is incredibly strong and lets her have her power up in all situations. And tracking by sound is skill all killers will have to learn. Spirit is just able to do it while completely invisible and with very little meaningful warning. Why learn Nurse, when you can play Spirit and get the same results with lesser effort.

At the same time, I don't know what they could do to reign her back but not make her power impractical to use. As it is It kind of does a lot. It gives her incredibly powerful 1 v 1, while giving her the speed to 4 v 1. She just as quickly show up around survivors as she does down them.

And she has some of the strongest set of add ons.

  • I think legion just needs a rework.

He really shows that gen pressure doesn't mean anything if you can't down them.

that and this is just silly:

    https://clips.twitch.tv/BlushingDeterminedGnatBCouch

  • I've been running:

    Monitor and Abuse

    Thrilling Tremors

    A Nurses's Calling

    Corrupt Intervention

When I was first playing him, I did run pop, but found that I only used it once or twice through out the session so I dropped it. Pop is still good, but his lower terror radius allows him to sneak up on survivors and I'd rather go for the chase than stop and hit the gen. I also got the feeling this guy might be a bit too slow to play gen defender and I had more luck playing aggressively.

He's so fun to play as, but obnoxious to play against that I genuinely feel guilty about running gen slowdown perks on him. Corrupt won't make it any harder for them to complete generators, but it will help mitigate the "Free" gens they get at the start of the match.

Nurse's takes advantage of this lower terror radius, but I do use it as experimental perk slot.

Thrilling can be swapped out for BBQ or some other tracking perk. I still haven't rolled BBQ but you know what.. Thrilling is really good. I always thought it was a worse BBQ, but man was I wrong. I'd say its equal where it matters. Game state Information. Transporting a body is the safest time for survivors, and thrilling will either lock the gen or reveal them to you.

I think he play well add-on less too, but if you did want to run some, you'd probably run cooldown + reload, or double reload/cooldown. The railroad spike is pretty good too. You kind of have to heal against a Deathslinger and the mangled effect will have some value.

Coin is a meme, but honestly, do we really need more insta-downs iridescent add-ons?

  • probably in that " sort of uncounterable but not op".

    @LordGlint said:

I find him abit sluggish compared to Huntress. You shoot someone, then gotta spend time reeling them in, hitting them, blood whip animation and reload. Compare that to Huntress who barely has any downtime inbetween hatchet hits...

I think of this every time people tell me that he's better than huntress. On paper, he seems stronger with his quick ads and lower terror radius but in practice he has so much built in slowdown to keep him from being crazy broken. Not to mention that not every spear you hit will have value to it.

He's fun to play. I love him win or lose but he's kind of an average killer.

Versus, If he's good, it can be a bit obnoxious as "just hold w" is the only thing you can do. But he's no spirit. His power doesn't simultaneously let him get to generators quickly, and then down survivors just as fast.

    This is correct.

But what I quoted was that you will be 100% the Obsession when you are running DS and nobody else is running an Obsession Perk. This is not correct.

lol, No I know. I just quoted to continue the chain like a thread. I completely understood what you meant in your post, sorry about that.

  • They really are telling the truth. Having an obsession perk will make you more likely to be the obsession, not you are guaranteed to become the obsession.

Just keep an eye out for it. Every now and again you'll see an obsession with no respective perk selected.

  • I think infantry belt is what makes IRI head broken. You can do so much more with 5 hatchets than 1.

The hitboxes and latency is why some people hate going against huntress in general.

  • I think the real question is:

Why are these Huntresses running Iron Maiden and not just the deer skin gloves addon?

I just don't think IM has all that much value. It's only good with Huntresses that are reloading during a chase.

The only thing that can makes Huntress feel "oppressive" are those jumbo hatchet hitboxes + dedicated servers.

edit: Idk, Huntress is slow and then there's the humming. I think the old tactic of "just hold w" works better against her than hiding in a locker

  • Honestly, I just don't really care that much anymore about 4ks. When I used to only play survivor, I felt kind of bad for the killer if they did so well through out the match and still "lost" anyway. But when I switched to killer I did have moments where I felt cheated. I saw 4ks as a sign that I was improving. But after a while, you start to see how random the matches can be and how meaningless 4ks/4 escapes are.

As much as people hate Deathslinger, I just have so much fun with him that I don't care about "winning". Hitting long range shots with him are so neat even if they don't have any value to them beyond the bloodpoints. I genuinely giggle when survivors turn around and tea bag or point when I miss. I see it more like playful teasing.

I'm having more fun walking around and shooting people than sitting around guarding hooks, preserving 3 gens, or the mass slugging like I would normally consider. That and even though I think he's pretty mid tier, parts of his kit (his ads) are a bit obnoxious to go against.

Pig is probably the only other character that gives me that "win or lose, I still had fun". I know it's easier said than done, but you'll get used to it. Somethings that survivors do that people think is toxic, is just harmless fun, but playing a lot of survivor before hand made that easier for me to see.

  • Honestly, the most powerful survivor tactic isn't 360s but "aim dressing"

  • sorry. Pachinko machines only

  • It think that's part of the trade off. It's a bit faster and doesn't trigger hook perks like DS, but also won't trigger things like Pop.

  • You know... I'm not sure.

I guess if a survivor is working a gen, then it would trigger normally. but It wouldn't do anything on an already regressing generator.

  • I thought this was going to be a post about killers with powers that can down survivors without starting a chase, robbing them of chaser emblems.

  • It definitely flips randomly.

You'll have mirror moments where both sides will tell you, "its just a game, don't take it so seriously", but become instantly triggered when they lose 1 match.

But that's every game with some pvp aspect.

  • shouldn't have gone down next to a gen bro

  • Join the club of "I got a 4k and still depiped"

  • @Booper_Of_Snoot said:

    You mean pay to lose?

If someone doesnt notice me close enough on huntress and theyre on a gen, I get a free hit. Deathslinger? its a fifty-fifty if some BS happens that prevents my hit, or the hook goes through the hitbox

Yeah, compared to the huntress, the deathslinger's harpoon is a lot more reasonable (sometimes it seems like you have to actually be fps accurate). and 4 ish seconds every miss is pretty hefty.

I mostly agree with how people feel about his 1 v 1 being a bit oppressive, but IMO, that's really all he has. It's not like nurse or spirit where their 1v1 and speed option keep survivors locked down by constantly downing. In all of my games as or against deathslinger, gens get done.

  • Can we slow it down a bit?

Doc's chase music practically gives me a headache after a while.

You see a Survivor playing badly and realize that the perk they're running gave them their rank?

I think it's more so that boosted survivors feed boosted killers.

It's really easy to rank up (or just black pip) as a survivor and it brings the team as a whole down. Now you have killers that don't really know how to run loops in red ranks because you have survivors that are just as oblivious.

I don't even think NOED is that much of a problem, and usually gives 1 more kill. I have rarely seen a game where a killer auto wins just by having NOED.

The snow ball starts with survivors being greedy with saves. If I see the "EXPOSED" status go off, girl bye.

  • Man, that reminds me of the actual machine gun huntress build of old. Back when tinkerer gave a flat percentage boost to percentage based add ons. Now THAT was crazy.

Rest in peace baby, wish you were here.

Is not because someone has crappy internet, its because the GAME errors. How come i only have internet issues in this game, which is also known for having ######### servers? I cant wait for the 24h ban someday for literally no reason. Thanks for your comment though :)

TBF, on their dev stream they said that they couldn't reproduce the errors.

They think that it could be hardware related, so it could be a potato pc problem.

  • just to add another thing

"Alright, so on the speed thing, the problem is that in the window to actually test everything is really small, and that we didn't test the base speed but oriented on the outdated wiki information. A difference of a survivor running the distance in 7 or 7.5 seconds is a whole 0.4m/s for our calculation, or 10%. For the best addon, we arrive at the conclusion it is at 135% speed, and for the second best we arrived at 130%. According to the devs, the power is at 132% aka nearly the middle of these 2, and that the speed addons are currently broken. I suspect that together with the very low time window, confirmation bias did lead us to the conclusion that one is better then the other, rather then thinking the addons are broken."

  • I don't know if these are right, but I just remember that the never sleep pills increased FF speed

"[Speed in Frenzy: It seems we either made a mistake here calculating or something else according to other findings. I will look into this again at a later date!

    Base: 4.8 m/s (120%)

    Friendship Bracelet: +0.2 m/s (+5%)

    Never Sleep Pills: +0.4 m/s (+10%)

    Susies Mixtape: +0.6 m/s (+15%)

We calculated this by first letting Legion run a track and checking where their power ends. Then we take the time a survivor needs to run the distance and did find out that way how far Legion did run in their 6 seconds, which allowed us to calculate their speed. However, it is a process that easily could have a lot of mistakes, since there is a lot of space for human error. However, the numbers do make sense and we tested some of the addons several times]"

True, it'd only work in a specific build made for it with Autodidact or something, ty for telling me!

I'm sure you can find a way to play around with it. Maybe like a bodyguard theme where you build mettle stacks and heal others.

I'm only saying the other things in a "if you want to win" mindset. If you think it would be fun, don't let anyone stop you. I love a good treasure goblin build.

Right now I'm running a (weird) build of Resilience, Spine chill, Lithe and Iron will, and just got solidarity from the shrine; is it worth replacing Resilience for or is it too situational to get usage out of?

Personally, I feel it's too situational. To get any value from it, you need two injured people to find and heal each other. A silly as that statement sounds, most games either: people are healed immediately by who ever, or sit on gens and adrenaline heal.

If you're injured and some other guy heals an injured teammate, you have a dead perk.

  • They also have to be activated by warping to/from them. They don't do anything if you just place them down. (just in case)

  • They should give him undetectable status too.

That way there can be no doubt that Freddy is the most easy and over kitted killer in the game.

  • "I don't talk to dead people"

Yes gurl, I don't mess with that dark sided nonsense. If you respond, it just invites the evil spirit into your life.

If there are endless topic about this issue and no one cares to fix it,well we have a problem 😁

It's just a really complicated problem to solve.

"Skill" is something really hard to quantify in DBD. Escapes and Kills doesn't make a survivor/killer good. Is a player good if they just stack bloated addons/perks/items? or more commonly, Is a player good when they get a more favorable map set up?

It's just kind of hard to figure anything out because RNG is really heavy in this game.

  • There really should probably be a singular major thread for all of these. Not that I don't feel your pain, but it's endlessly posted.

  • I mean, 8 +/- 6 is (14 | 2) so it's close enough ... I guess.

  • I feel like the meta would be Freddy (or really any tiny killer) + any power.

  • This sounds like what we already have.... except the doors can't be opened... so they just kind of die.

  • I'd personally would choose Oni. What I really liked about Legion was how fast they felt (as shallow as that sounds), but Oni is actually lethal while his power is active. Demo would come in close second, and my love for the Piggy lunge definitely influenced that. Deathslinger is good, but I just can't stand the 110%.

  • This has been posted a couple of times. It's a god spot, the survivors can run into but it's too narrow for the killers to enter.

I don't know how they were able to clip into each other like that. Unless you hit them, and while player collision was disabled, they ran into each other. I wouldn't be surprised if they impulsively ran into it because of how safe it is, only for you to roll up to them and now you're all dead locked.

You can't get in and they don't want to come out.

  • You and I both know we're in for a Payday 2 endgame with like $800 worth of DLC.
