Agitation and Iron Grasp. My favorite killer combo. It’s now Anti-Meta/SWF?? Sweet!! 😂
-
The devs don’t want chivalrous killers because the killer is the killer. A RL killer would eliminate us by any means if we tried escaping. They want you to camp, tunnel, and slug. Play cheap and make players rage. The same way survivors DH, BT, and flash the killer.
This game is meant to be incredibly toxic. So if you’re not toxic I suggest not to play anymore.
I always run Iron Grasp against SWF. Because they’ll try to save. Combine Iron Grasp, Starstruck, and Agitation to stop all the altruism.
The New Dead Man Switch can keep survivors off of gens. Apparently the block is every time you hook someone. Not when it’s the obsession. 🤔
-
Get those Bloodpoints. I’ve been saving Red Head Pinky Clown just for this. 30 sacrificial cakes. 30 pinkies. Agi Grasp Basement Clown. Quick too if survivors simply leave. EZ 50-100K BPs 😂

Current game balance is a major discussion. As a person ranks up as killer. They face more teams that are very efficient at usage of their time on generators. The killer can only be in one place at one time. While 4 survivors occupy 4 separate or equal spaces at one time. This can be one of the same tile, or individual spaces. With 7 generators on the map. That is those generators plus patrolling known points a survivor may or may not be.
With the most efficient killer on the map using Whispers. It will begin to possibly narrow down that player's first location But then removes 1 perk slot which could be a Perk that either disrupts the progress of the game for the player, reveals a player's location under a specific circumstance, or contributes a small percentage to winning a chase, and/or slowing down the match for a player.
When I experimented with effects of efficiency against "good" players (purple, red ranks) at the time. My goal was to slow down that dreaded 'gen rush' we feel.
First. I tried all 4 perks as hexes. It gave me SOME extra time. But not enough to reduce the time of the match. Players usually played THROUGH the match. If I was unable to Win a chase easily. The perks played zero impact against the team.
If I ran all regression and destablization perks in order to slow generator progress down. It minimally impacted the team as well. Did not matter what perks I was stacking. They could hit their skill checks good, they would stack up on generators to negate the impact of Thanataphobia and any other types of pressure applied by perks.
Finally, any perks that were settup for punishing players by injuries or rescues. Meant nothing either. Survivors efficiently played through them.
All 4 perks as "locator perks" helped ONLY some. And that was IF i could intercept a survivor and hook them.
Finally was "End game collapse" late game plays. I would save it for carefully timed DOWNS and hope that I could make a play in order to get WARDEN to work in my favor. Most of the time players that are high rank. Know they are under pressure from Warden, just because if the killer hasn't bothered hooking any survivors until after mid countdown. They should predict the killer is going to attempt a warden play. So they know better and make their way to an exit gate before their fellow survivor is hooked..
--------
If i was to ask for balance or "gifts" of improvements. It would be for Brutal Strength, Fire-up, Bamboozle and spirit furry to be boosted. I could then consider skipping NOED as a mandatory perk. As it would maybe perhaps offset the new BOON totems.
Yes. I started realizing the only thing that helps killer is knowing exactly where the survivors are at all times. I started using Legion last week. The 4 perks I was running was Infectious Fright. Jolt. Eruption. Oppression.
Legion can always sprint to the gens to kick with his/her power. To set up Eruption. Infectious is useful when Frenzy isn’t telling me their immediate whereabouts during a down. I’ll know it’s safe to walk away from the hook, or pick up a player in general. If they fall near a gen Jolt would activate, sometimes combined with Eruption. I feel Oppression is really good for Legion. Killer Instinct reveals exactly where they are. So I know when to trigger Oppression. When they’re not on the gens because they’re all mending/healing. Most players think I have Discordance. In reality I use the add ons that make their Killer Instinct so huge that I see multiple players huddled together on the gens, etc.

Thanks, but I already have a degree in science, with a minor in philosophy.
What you need to understand is that there's a tremendous distinction between science, and psuedoscience. Science is observing something and understanding it. Psuedoscience is saying "we don't understand something, so we can attribute anything we like to it." It largely only confuses people because you can't disprove a negative.
Dark matter is just observation of the behaviour of spacetime as though there is mass present when there is none, leading scientists to name it dark matter and assume there is some form of matter we cannot observe.
The fact that it exists is in no way related to the idea that thinking bad thoughts at someone changes the universe to make bad things happen to them. Drawing a conclusion that was is like saying "Well, I have a glass of water in my hand, so my train will be late." There's simply no connection. One strange or mysterious occurence in nature does not mean that any phenomena you can conceive of has a basis in reality.
I mean. A degree means nothing much. It’s a piece of parchment.
Psuedoscience is a word that people who think they know all there is can use against people they think are ignorant. The consciousness is still a mystery. We all have one, yet it isn’t physical whatsoever. It’s what enables us to communicate and move about. Science barely understands it given that it cannot be physically observed.
Google people like Wim Hoff the Iceman who, through Zen Meditation/Training, can withstand freezing temperatures that would normally kill a person. Studies have been done on the concept of the Evil Eye. The brain throws off an EMF like a radio tower. The theory was because our eyes connect directly to the brain the eyes project concentrated EMF. These EMFs are mixed with our feelings/thoughts. Animals can feel when predators stare with the intent to eat them. Soldiers could sense when the opposition was lurking even though they couldn’t see the enemy. There was a documentary proving the validity of the Evil Eye 🧿.
We don’t hear about such studies because it isn’t mainstream. Look into these subjects with an open mind. Instead of just assuming it’s baloney because it sounds outlandish to you and because you studied what you did. A closed mind will only learn what it wants to. 🤷🏽♂️

Remove bubba because whiteface is also racist
Exactly. It’s all stupid. Claudette herself is racism incarcerate. Because there’s a racist idea that when dark skinned people go anywhere in which there is less light they’re “invisible” Or you only see the teeth... Soo I guess we brighten Claudette, or remove her. *Eyeroll*

what... the #########?
kate + steve aren't minorities, either?
and, like, it is blackface, literally is, because his skin tone under the mask is genuinely darker than normal. people have gone into the files and seen.
the whole world is being censored
it's a ######### cosmetic in a video game, get over yourself.
Well they look “White” so they’re avoided. He will be friendly towards them.
I’ve seen it a couple of times fighting Slinger. When he was friendly and hostile based on my survivor. It’s not very common. Said slinger will always pick Noose. Then targets any Taps, Clauddys, Adams, Jakes, etc. Sparing King, Kate, Steve, etc. It’s a wild sight to see. To say the least.
If people think DBD is racist they never played CoD where N-Bomb is every lobby.😂

Comparing tbagging to racism im so quirky 🤪🤪
Just remove Claudette then. She camouflages with darkness itself. Which in itself is “racist”. 🤣
I’ve seen racist Deathslingers that tunnel the minority characters. Nodding and following Kates or Harrington. Letting them pip/escape. The slinger will use the Dusty Noose too. 🤷🏽♂️
People always find ways to offend. The thing is I would never be offended because of a mask cosmetic in a video game. It isn’t even Blackface. The whole world is being censored. 😭

How many of those got Entity Displeased. How many of those are just 1 kill per game? Also there is a lot more to this game than just Kills and Escapes, and BHVR is never going to release the real data we are all asking for. They are literally giving you what the majority wants to see, and that is "Killers are doing fine", so they can keep selling their heavily survivor sided game.
I only consider it a loss when it says Entity Displeased. If I get Brutal or Merciless that means I did well enough.
4K is overrated now. The team literally has to fumble big time for that to happen now. 4K was rather consistent with just old Ruin where it actually took skill to overcome (Great Skill Checks), or Tap’s Stakeout. The devs made this game much easier for survivors to do their objectives which makes it harder for killers to accomplish theirs.
-
Sounds like you can’t get 4Ks every match and that upsets you. A lot. Killer is A LOT harder. However, it’s only unbearable when survivors sweat too much with a 4-Man Squad full of 2nd chance perks.
I literally ran a Hex: Thrill of the Hunt, Undying, and NOED to show my friend how busted SWF can be. Happened on meat plant. Pallet Town. They were clearly on comms. They all had DS, DH, BT, Unbreakable, Soul Guard, etc. They flashlight every pickup. Stood up against slugging multiple times. They stayed in EGC for like 5+ mins to break NOED. They tried breaking NOED but Thrill protected it. Thrill was protected by Undying. They finally stopped sweating after their Unbreakables ran out. Since if they got slugged again they’d lose. I got a single kill. 🤷🏽♂️
It wasn’t even a matter of git gud. They were SOOO boosted that they didn’t care about NOED, or anything the killer could do. Only with constant exposure was the game remotely challenging for them because they stacked those perks. If you’re inviting players to play together you shouldn’t be able to stack more than 2 of the same perks. Everyone shouldn’t be able to Dead Hard, DS, and stand up with Unbreakable. Only if they are 4 randoms playing.
-
The 30 second cooldown is too high for a move that isn’t consistent. It’s cooldown at T3 should be 10 seconds. 30, 20,10.
If Diversion was 10 seconds you could be use synergy like IW, Lucky Break, Off the Radar, Q&Q, and Deception. When you’re actually fooling the killer you aren’t being chased anymore. Which would grant pebbles to divert their attention even more as they search around for you.
What I used to do is find a spot to aim the pebbles at lockers when a TR was around. Putting scratches and the loud sound indicator around the locker. Making a killer think someone went in it. After I saw them open it I go back inside. Only to Head On them when they check twice. I got face camped doing this many times. Worth. 😂
-
Nah. My problem is that survivors I find run into some dark corner of a map while survivors do gens elsewhere. Even if you catch them in 30 seconds by the time you carry and hook a gens pops. If it doesn’t by the time you reach where the survivors were working it pops.
My favorite combo is Agitation and Iron Grasp. Carrying survivors where I want grants a huge advantage almost every match. I’ll often take them back to where their allies were working. Body blocking becomes a waste of a survivor’s time. Hitting survivors trying to finish a gen. I started combining Eruption, and Pain Resonance. The gens I kick will burst later, incapacitating survivors doubling up. Then once again when I hook them with Resonance. If I want intel I use Hangman’s Trick over Resonance or Eruption. So I see auras as I carry survivors.
-
@Awkweird said:
Would it be unreasonable to put an instant 5-10% gen regression when kicking and maybe speed up passive regression?
New killers probably don't realize how little it does to kick a gen. And it would give killers some reward for walking to a gen and kicking it. Maybe incentivize patrolling gens over tunneling?
It would also solve the issue of a survivor just tapping a gen, because that would risk another kick.
The devs can make it so a killer can continuously damage a gen if they press the button in succession after the first hit. Every successive hit takes the same amount of time as the first hit. Each hit lowering it by 1-2% as it regresses; However, this holds the killer physically in place and fixes their screen towards the gen. If they stop for any reason they can’t damage it again until a survivor touches it.
Killers would then have some incentive to not camp the first person they hook. During opportunities they can scare survivors off of a gen to damage it. While killers strategically damage gens they think is important to protect the survivors are regrouping, unhooking, healing, doubling up, etc. Pop could be reworked to replace the damage over time with one big time for as long as it’s active.
Adding a feature like that buffs moves like Brutal Strength and Fired Up. As killers can now damage gens at a much faster rate.

Note to self, come to you when I need tips on unicorn breeding.
Unicorns 🦄 have no basis in this reality whatsoever. Magic/curse were substitute words for the invisible forces of nature that we can’t perceive with our eyes. Science made a word like that already for something that we cannot touch, or see. Dark Matter/Energy. Scientists have speculated the idea of higher dimensions (4D, 5D, etc), and what a force within such a dimension could do. Google it sometime. Smarty pants. 🤷🏽♂️
Humans we not unaware back in the day. Many were philosophers, and critical thinkers. After all they left giant structures that lined up with the stars almost everywhere as proof. 😂

We don't actually know if the Entity is shapeless.
I think you are confusing "shapeless" with "humans, with their limited senses, are unable to full perceive the strange non-Euclid geometries of the Entity and trying to perceive the non-Euclid geometries of the Entity would surely send you into a spiral of madness".
@WaveyTrey Do you want schizophrenia, because trying to comprehend the entity is how you get it!
Haha! I said shapeless because whenever someone/something witnesses the presence of The Entity it’s always this black smog encompassing an area. Like before it snatches someone, or whenever it’s blocking stuff. That smog can produce appendages from what we can tell also. Like on the hook, or a gen.
Pyramid Head’s lore suggests that too. That the smog waking up pizza head is “alive”.
-
Survivor is easy mode. What are you going on about. I play both sides… Lol…
Good survivors do gens and leave in less than 5 minutes. This isn’t fun for killers. So they tunnel/camp all the time, or when it’s most convenient. As Altruism can extend the game. We see this in EGC. Clearly.
Good killers down survivors in less than 30 seconds. Like an expert Nurse with Infectious Starstruck Distressing BBQ. There’s no counter. She hits/slugs everyone, and then you sit there on the floor. Survivors basically don’t get to play. So an adept player probably like you would complain about that. If you experienced it too much in a single day or succession. You’d inevitably d/c, or die on hook. Take a break.
This is the extreme state of DBD where people who don’t play the game for thousands of hours have a bad experience most of the time. Only the small % of players are actually good “enjoy” dbd, and the game caters to that mostly believe it or not. That, and the fear of killer players becoming too good. Warranting nerfs. Like you fear/hate good Nurses/Blights, but the skill cap is so vast its balanced out.
-
Sigh…
I was into all manner of occult stuff in my teens. Magic/miracles defy all reason because it’s knowledge of “extra dimensions”, and humans have no natural access to that as we’re physically here in this dimension. In DBD case The Entity performs impossible feats because it’s a shapeless, inter-dimensional intelligence that’s been around since forever. Anyone pulled into it’s domain is affected gets powers too. Survivors get aura reading. Killers are turned into monsters. Only “some” humans are attuned to extra dimensions. Like the witchy girl they added. “Curses” affect what’s already natural. Typically by making something worse, or by taking it away…Unless a curse had built up power over a long time like Devour Hope.
Curses are just negative energy/psyche. Someone you loved hurt your feelings by saying awful things and that ruined your day at work. Someone did something to you psychologically, and it lead to depression. THAT my pal, is the curse… Some words are called “Curse” words. Even South Park has an episode about it. Some words have negative energy/feedback. Especially to a person when someone saying them are filled with spite or animosity.
A theoretical “death” curse would cause you to die faster. Life exists to die. Your natural state of living accelerates, but it’ll never outright kill you from the start.
A blind curse takes your natural ability to see things. Since we can naturally lose our senses by going blind, or deaf.
With the natural “law” of curses giving realism to a game… The gens would regress on their own naturally, and Hex: Ruin makes regression worse. A curse wouldn’t ever make a generator magically regress on it’s own unless it already did that. We see The Entity stopping gen progress for both sides. The devs skewered Ruin because survivor mains complain too much.

I can't speak for others but I don't use kindred, decisive, dead hard, ub or bt
Idk I do get what you're saying here, but imo the ability for survivors to see hooked and downed peoples auras is not the thing that hurts my killer games, it's usually the exhaustion perks wasting my time
Even killers can’t see downed players without Deerstalker!! They’ll crawl away, under a pallet, or into flashlight position. Survivors have full advantage in every single situation. Even totems aren’t safe anymore because of boons.
I play both sides all the time. Survivor is by far much easier, and the natural aura reading lets survivors control the entire situation. Killer is unbearable without the aura reading capability, or intel. If survivors only saw the location bubble they’d have to search a bit harder much like the killers are forced to do. Making survivors somewhat vulnerable.
This is part of why most killers camp, which is what survivors complain most about. It took 40 seconds to find someone, and then another 40 to catch a person. That’s basically 2 gens. It’s insanity. If survivors took even an extra 5+ seconds to find a player during a crucial moment a killer could’ve possibly gained an advantage. Possibly. Don’t say 5 seconds mean nothing because time is everything in this game. Literally every second counts, and killers have no leeway in that aspect.

That's not how this works.
1) solos get nothing. Swf get "He hooked me back corner of Shack". Solos get nothing. Swf get "Yeah he's staying near the hook, random is coming for the save". Solos get nothing. Swf get "Gen done near main building, all pallets used there". Removing auras does nothing to nerf them and everything to nerf solos. Making the gap bigger is how we further perpetuate the balance issues, not fix them.
2) Plaything gives oblivious, not blindness. Auras are irrelevant here.
Oblivious lets killer do some things against survivor because they lose intel. Despite what people say Oblivious helps killers approach survivors at times and in a way where they normally could not. That’s why I’ve been using Plaything. It’s come in handy against all survivors even SWF.
Blindness is USELESS because survivors don’t even use aura reading unless they’re Solo Q to begin with. Survivors can naturally see auras somehow which isn’t even possible according to the game’s lore. Not without a perk given to them, or an item that grants it. Whereas all the big scary supernatural monsters need items and/or perks to see any aura. You’d think these beasts could naturally, but no 😂 . Some SWF players use auras. SOME. When I play killer I rarely ever see some aura reading outside of WOO. It’s always “Meta” perks.

No counter argument? Survivor seeing aura of downed team mate is no different to huntress with bitter murmer/BBQ? Lmao I didn't realise as survivor you can snipe killers this is a game changer :O
It’s about the amount of time it takes to rescue another person. Survivors see exactly where the person is, and with Kindred they see killers too. They can plant their butts on gens and leave. Rescue at their leisure. Survivor also sees the hook bar.
If you didn’t know exactly where the person was with base aura read this would makes survivors take more time to actually search for their mates. Meaning they’re not doing gens. Giving the killer time to go kick gens, break doors, and even chase other people.
Killers will camp because they feel that they can’t leave that spot without survivors being rescued the moment they walk away. After all everyone else sees a large, glowing red person in the distance doing jumping jacks.
Like, c’mon! How much more does survivor need? It’s easy! Survivor already excel at chase given the perks that can’t even be countered. Decisive? Dead Hard? Unbreakable? Borrowed? We need to see everyone too?? 😂
Killer is tolerable with aura reading.

Survivors having information is the bare minimum they need to.. well, survive together. The advantage they have is all in their perks
Again. There’s Keys and add ons from the bloodweb that lets you see people. A myriad a of ways to communicate. In and outside the game. There is no counter argument for this. It’s like saying make BBQ basekit and have killer see everyone every time they hook someone. That isn’t fair right?
Think about how BBQ or Bitter Murmur lets a Huntress main snipe from across the entire map with hatchets. She can’t ever really do that without that intel, can she? Not at all.
Survivor is no different. I saw where you are downed/hooked. I got straight there. Without losing any real time. Because there’s no searching or watching out for anything other than a killer who has gargantuan TR that tells you exactly where they are. Having TR is more than enough intel for survivors. Without Oblivious or Undetectable you know they’re camping too. So, yeah. 😂
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Yes let's make the gap between solos and swf even wider because out of everything in the game we really need to do that one don't we
SWF isn’t going anywhere so you can’t complain about that. At all. Just another excuse not to balance survivors overhaul. With aura reading I realized killer isn’t difficult at all. That’s the same reason why Survivor is much easier. Imagine if Lethal was basekit. Survivor mains wouldn’t ever stop whining.
SWFs don’t need to see aura anymore than a single player does. You’re giving them more by doing that. Widening the gap as you are putting it. Solo will always lose out. I play solo so I know.
Ever since I’ve been using Plaything I’ve been catching SWFs slacking. You can see it in their movements. If they can’t get the intel of a killers whereabouts they don’t know exactly what to tell their buddies. They start guessing. If they’re all oblivious they go into the basement earlier as opposed to gen rushing. Not realizing you’re outside the building. They bump into one another like stooges. Essentially they are more prone to making more errors.
-
I’ll say it 1000 times…Make. Mori. BASEKIT.
Killers forfeit the BPs they would’ve gotten from that person. That way petty killers D-Rank from Mori’ing too much. Toxic survivors get stomped for being too unsporting. Meaning survs will off themselves on hook to avoid getting Mori’d. They can only be toxic to the team that they abandoned now. On top of a 5 min time out.
Only Myers and P.Head can “Mori” without losing out because that’s their gimmick. Then update Mori rituals so that The Entity is cool with what the your killer is about to do. You basically keep your BPs from the Mori via the ritual. With everything survs have it’ll be difficult anyway. Survs sweat harder when it’s Mori time. It’s not busted at all because Pyramid can Mori freely, and easily. It’s not difficult to make death phase players step in his Chili.
-
The moment they use DH just camp them ⛺️🔥. Let them whine, DC, and let themselves get sacced. They want to extend chases for free to win EZ. So put them on a hook and be sacrificed EZ. Especially with STBFL. Makes this easy.
The moment a killer gets playing sportingly out of their minds. The moment killer begins to bully the survivors the way they do your killers. The happier you’ll be. You actually Pip from it too if you do it right. Which is why survivors “Bully”.All those pallet slams and flashlight saves pips them up.
-
When I’m killer I make a certain style and stick to it.
-
In one good chase 2-3 gens will pop. If you have to chase survivors 3 times minimum to fully sacrifice then multiply that times 4… The killer gets some hooks, and second phases. No sacrifices. That’s what’s happening with the new MMR. Even with double pip and 4K I get 35K BP as killer without BBQ. With 4 essential perks I can get 4k. BBQ is just for BPs so it hinders a killers potential to sacrifice. Allowing survivors escape. Then I still get less because no full sacrifices. BBQ should stack for every sacrifice, and not the first one. 12 stacks total. Remove aura reading, or reduce it to 3 seconds. Without BP killer simply isn’t worth sweating with survivors.
I’ll camp the first person I catch in a trial if multiple gens fire off. When there’s 2 gens left in 2 minutes someone should’ve been dead. Period. Especially if the killer isn’t strong like Clown or Legion. If the killer doesn’t do this they’ll likely lose. Lose as in not get any BPs because they didn’t sacrifice anyone. So you see them tunneling/camping the whole time. Using NOED to get more hooks. Etc.

Running multiple perks to make one of them work is a sign of a failure of perk design (consider how many hex totems are based around the idea of penalising doing totems and still they barely work).
Agitation and its kin are nice to haves, but you shouldn't be totally screwed out of the ability to use a perk without it (or sometimes even with it) because the map RNG decided to plonk you in Mother's Dwelling and put all the scourge hooks on the same side of the map as the Survivors' spawn and the first gens done.
True! However, these devs won’t fix it. That is a fact. They’ll make it worse somehow. With a new patch the power wouldn’t even activate upon hooking survivors. You’ll get stuck trying to hook the survivor there, or something else that is awful. Like corrupted hooks always spawning in certain spots like a Hex totem that’ll stick out like a sore thumb. Meaning survivors can take full advantage almost all of the time.
After what they did to Ruin I simply don’t trust them anymore when it comes to balancing anything. Just let RNG decide. 😭

I... how do you think that's a lucky spawn? Or that their complaint is a survivor-sided rant about unfair hook locations? The likely complaint is that all or most of the spawn hooks can show up clustered in one corner of the map, which is the exact thing you don't want to happen!
Or why on earth you think I'm mad. I love scourge hook perks as an idea and I don't even play Survivor. Chill out and stop tilting at windmills. <_>
It works in reverse too, which shouldn’t have to be explained…
If they’re clustered on one side of the map a lot then use perks and add ons to compensate that. Killer Oaks will likely spawn hooks closer together for your own convenience. Agitation and Iron Grasp lets you carry survivors to hooks you normally wouldn’t reach. These are things you gotta think about. Maybe run Agi/Grasp? If I get bad RNG with Pain Resonance I typically run one of the carry perks to compensate. It’ll pay off too because that -15% is worth it. Especially with Pop if survivors touch the distant gen after it bursted the first time.
Depending on where they’re positioned it can be good or bad. As it should be. The moment players start complaining about stuff too much in any way whatsoever…. The devs will make whatever it is worse somehow before ever making it better. This is a fact. Ssssh!! 🤫🤫🤫

you realise the picture is from the Killer's perspective, right?
Yup, and they got lucky. Is what you should be comprehending from all of that. I’ve been using that perk since Saturday. They don’t always spawn together like that. You act as if they’re clustered every single match. Sometimes they’re nowhere near each other. You’re mad because the RNG helped the killer. When RNG gives survivors obvious hex totem spawns, and insane loops that’ll connect almost all of the time. Now there’s CoH that makes survivors heal insanely fast. Killers gotta go out of their way to stamp them out. It’s about time killers got a solid, strong power. It’s perfectly fine as is.
There’s plenty of ways to counter Scourge.
1.) Don’t fall anywhere near those hooks. RUN AWAY.
2.) Break those hooks when someone is about to be hooked on one.
3.) Use Oaks to increase the distance of all the hooks.
Every time killer gets something balanced the survivors mains will whine. Then it gets nerfed in some silly way that makes the perk even worse. Like Hex Ruin. New Ruin is just awful (Brain Dead), and Old Ruin was much more healthy/balanced.
-
Nope. It’s about time killer actually got something useful and balanced. Something that counters gen rushing for good outside of Pop and Ruin. The killer has to catch people to activate that power, and the hook spawn is totally random. Sometimes the hooks aren’t near each other like that at all. On all the corners of a large map Lery’s or that new Artist map. Making it weak during the whole trial unless you run Iron Grasp/Agitation.
It’s no different than Father Campbell’s insane loops that’ll spawn all clumped together. Killers deal with inconveniences like that almost every match multiple times.
Don’t get caught. Is the easiest counter to Scourge Hooks. If you know where they are stay away from them altogether. If you don’t like them bring toolboxes and break them. I’ve been seeing lots of thay lately since I’ve been using this perk.

Man! It was like 100!! All of them had over 75 ping. I know ping plays a part, but I feel that survivors will use that to their advantage. They think they’re good but their ping is letting them avoid hits and what not.
-
You kick gens sparingly. When you know everyone is healing, or something. Most times it’s better to keep pressure. I often try hooking survivors near the gens being completed. I can regress the gen and protect the hook.
-
Those players were banking on that bug. They got that gen done. Ace literally tried to tip-toe off. He walked away. He did not run. As he would’ve left track marks had he ran. Meaning he knew what he was attempting to do. He started blipping everywhere after he finally started running, but the clown caught him given his powers.
-
How about when you grab someone you’re frozen in time for 20-30 seconds? Giving the other survivors time to double up on gens with Prove Thyself while you’re stuck? I noticed as killer that some survivors know how to make this happen, or they’re just hacking. I always see a lone survivor standing near a gen working on it off and on in an attempt to make my killer grab them. When that happens I’m stuck in grab animation with my screen frozen on the gen. The survivor takes no damage, and then walks free. Like some Utsusemi type ****. Then they always try to sneak away in the time you’re stuck. Regardless. Whenever that happens I camp that survivor until 2nd phase or their death. Happened yesterday when I played as clown. Still beat them.

If decisive strike is basekit it should be an item and not a perk. Huge item overhaul. All items should be “Trial Items” unless they’re the festival (Seasonal) items. You don’t leave with items unless they’re festive items. Remove all the clutter from the Blood Web so we get more of these fun items and BP based items. As survivor I’m going for things like Escape Cake, Envelopes, and Firecrackers anyway. Items you find in a trial now have a chance of having add ons. Perks like Plunderers and Ace increases the rarity/likelihood of what you can find. Giving survivors a reason to bring the perks.
For DS survivors must break a hook somehow (Items or Perks), and then pick up the broken piece before a new hook spawns. In that time survivors carry the piece. New hooks will spawn every 60 seconds. The Green Wrench add on will extend the time for broken hooks and holding a piece of hook for 15 more seconds. The piece fades upon use. Dropping it causes it to fade. The killer can’t see it, but can see whenever it fades. The killer can use Hangman’s to find hooks that are safe to hook survivors. Franklin’s can counter this abuse altogether. The balance for it all is it takes perk slots for killers to counter. For survivors it consumes their time to produce pieces while giving themselves away. Unless they found a toolbox with protective gloves to make it silent to the killer.
Sabo lets you see the hooks when someone is being carried. You also produce a piece once you break any hook. This creates the idea that you produce a piece in an attempt to sabotage as carried survivor attempts to wiggle free. Either you or the survivor that wiggled free can pick up the piece whenever the killer is stunned from dropping the carried person. The other situation is you take the time to break a piece to carry for yourself or an ally at all times once per minute. Giving your position away to the killer is the consequence.
Breakdown becomes the second Anti-Tunnel perk. When you’re unhooked or unhook yourself the hook breaks. Giving you or an ally a piece to pick up. Then you see the killers aura for a few seconds as well once you’ve been unhooked. So you know which direction not to go. Unless they’re undetectable that is.

This game was never meant to be fair. For any side. It’ll NEVER be fair. Ever. So stop asking to balance this friggin game. That’s why it sucks now.
Survivors will annoy the **** out the killer to make them tunnel and mess up. Killers must get inside the survivors head. Tunnel when necessary. Camp when necessary. It’s all strategic. When you play dirty the entity double pips every time. Hit them in the hook. Make them salty so their friends risk the save, and snowball. Etc.
STOP.PLAYING.NICELY. 😂

It is, but that's what happens when everyone takes a game way too seriously.
A killer gets stomped by a sweaty SWF bully squad, solo queue gets stomped by this killer who wants to "take revenge" on survivors based on their last match, solo players learn that their only chance is to join a SWF, and the cycle continues lol.
Yes!! I can do everything right as solo and still lose because my team is full of potatoes. Ever since I put CoH on my Nurse Mason I started seeing players run OUT OF THE CIRCLE. I almost left the match seeing that me and an Ace had to follow some dumb Nea waaay over where she ran… The killer was on the Elodie the whole time…!!
Why? The moment I play killer. Even a NEW killer. I get 4 Rank 1 Sailor Harringtons with flashlights, medkits, and toolboxes. Every group knows that to do. How to run the killer. It’s very irritating.
-
With a squad carrying Flashlights that perk will be hilarious. I like wild, whacky builds.
Tenacity. Boon: Unbreakable. Power Struggle. Flip Flop.
That boon makes that setup even stronger because it’s a whole radius. Once you stand up you can let the killer stamp it out. Because you only want it where you’re juking the killer.
If your allies have flashlights the killers will not pick up. They’ll almost always leave downed survivors where they are until it’s safe. Giving the downed player time to recover. With tenacity you can even scurry away to your Boon as your allies distract, and then lift yourself up.
If you’re downed around your totem you can guarantee that you’ll recover on top of a pallet if any other survivor is trying to save you. Once you’re ready the survivors can leave. You’ll just whack them with a pallet due to Flip Flop and Power Struggle. 😂
-
They’ll make her slower. Like they did Trickster. A ranged killer is never fast. If her crows can do health states she will be slow. Imagine her with STBFL. 😭

I used to try farm builds with Pharmacy, Ace in the Hole, Plunder's Instinct and Appraisal.
Even if I die eventually, wouldn't deny it feels good when you loot decent item.
Oh and Emergency Medkit with Abdominal Dressing is always not welcome.
Yeah. That happens with Ace sometimes. Street Wise and Built to Last counters that annoying dressing. Giving you a kit that heals others insanely fast.

My personal build would be :
Bite The Bullet
Overcome
Self-Aware
We'll Make It
Not an optimal build, but hey... at least I can heal you at the hook.... quietly.
I think “optimization” is what is killing DBD. It has no leaderboards. Rank resets as well. So I don’t get why everyone sweats so hard to win. 🤷🏽♂️
If more survivors used custom builds the killers might be encouraged to do so also. As well as pick lower tier killers.
What I really dream for is that in the end of DBD you can make your own custom survivor. Then you can select the standing animation of an existing character for the lobby. Like a hot chick that rubs her kitchen the way Tap does. A flamboyant guy that’ll look at his nails the way Yun-Jin Lee does. A thug that has David King’s scrapper animation. 🤣

Play a killer who is less affected by it.
Blight is so fast that hold W doesn't work. Legion can mitigate hold W with Frenzy and chase perks. Trapper, well hold W doesn't work if they put their foot in a bear trap. Insta down killers with M&A.
There's options. Split pressure Killers used to be a good option, but CoH means that doesn't work unless you are spreading more than just injuries.
Circle of Healing is why I stopped playing. I might hop on tonight or tomorrow night. I like to get rusty so I can have fun, and potentially complain for laughs.

Haven't we all been ignoring the real balance issue of dbd? The pig is quite possibly the most broken busted OP low effort high reward killers. Her power can LITERALLY kill the survivor in 2.5 minutes! No add-ons required! Absolutely blows my mind how the devs have refused to nerf her.
And survivors can do all the gens in less than 5 mins, and there’s four of them. Zooming around. Being silent. Comms. Etc. Outside of mobility killers pig makes the most sense. She forces players to do something other than gens and totems. It’s fair because she has to catch you, so it’s more of a punishment if anything.
Why is it when killers are upset and want balance the solution is for them to get better as a killer? Then when survivors are upset and want balance the solution is to weaken all the killers? Everything good is made worse until they don’t even have to try to escape. 🤣

It feels like my build will finally be complete. Currently on blight I have been running Pop/Corrupt, BBQ, Lethal Pursuer and Shadowborn, and it will be great to get a regressing and passive slowdown that can't be cucked by crap totem spawns. Pop just requires too much wasted time, and corrupt is already too similar to lethal pursuer.
Corrupted Hooks only pair well with Agi-Grasp, or at least Agitation. The Hooks aren’t always close to where you downed survivors. Plus once they realize you have them they’ll avoid being downed in those areas. Putrid Oaks help a lot. You always have to take the time to hook players there, and use regular hooks for the death hook. I’m certain that they don’t respawn. So being able to quickly carry survivors to where you need to be is the strongest power imo, and using the new hook powers benefits from this the most.

The trick to camping is don’t get caught. 😂

yea but that doesn't suddenly mean its fun to vs a 4 man swf sweat squad whos only idea of fun is to make sure the killer doesn't have any, could just be less of a hard limit but still some limits
That’s why you ⛺️ before Corrupt ends. Sometimes a ⛺️ is warranted. 😂
