If you’re Solo Q there is absolutely NO sensible reason that you do not run Plunderers (To find a key). Solo Q means you can’t fully rely on your “teams”. NEVER. Countless times I’ve been T-Bagged, and abandoned. Even if the save is EZ. Even if I did all the work. 🤣
How players think another player should play is make believe nonsense. It’s frustrating sometimes to be tunneled/camped etc… However, the devs solution to player complaints is nerfing things. They make things worse…
Rank is irrelevant. It resets. You gain BPs from every match even if it’s a little. You lose nothing, except maybe add ons/items… Handicapping yourself isn’t skill. It’s dumb. Streamers propagate this idea to the communities so when they do lose they can tell their audience “If I had my perks I would’ve won!” or “Omg Ruin, Tinkerer, Undying is how you won”. Half the killer perks are ineffective due to comms alone, and you want killers to use that..? If you watch streamers often enough I guarantee that you’ll see them contradicting themselves. 😭
-
This game won’t ever be fair because Killer FOV is limited whereas the survivors FOV isn’t... Because of the FOV killers actually does have to predict every move. They have to turn all the way around to see that someone is directly behind them. Survivors have a whole red stain during chase, AND sees the killer around walls. So they can juke, tell their friends, etc. Which makes it insanely difficult for the killer, and renders many perks useless. That’s why Undetectable fails. Someone on comms will see him trying to hide from the hook…
Why do you think every killer main loved Shadowborne/Monitor and Abuse?? Around the time those two perks began to malfunction did the killers begin to complain the most. Really think about it. Those perks were the best because that little intel from increased FOV gave so much to all killers. Especially Huntress, Myers Ghost Face, etc.
Surviors should have reduced FOV (Still larger than the killer), and have the same commands as Ghost Face. The way Ghost Face works is how survivors should work. They can crouch, and peep around corners. Like, actually hide and interact with everything around you. However like killer you can’t see directly behind you. Essentially the way a human can turn their heads back left or right is what survivors should see.
-
Nope. I do Solo Q. Tired of losing with everyone just because my teams sucks terribly. Then I dpip and everything else. That’s like saying every member in a sports game should be replaced because one of them did something bad.
I’ll Plunderer/Appraisal the moment the team starts losing, and will attempt to escape. Even got Wake Up in case I don’t find a key, and slip out. I play both sides. Keys are only bad because teams with comms walk in with them. So even when you kill the key holder they tell their buddies where it was. Then they find it, and use it.
One fine way to patch keys is make it an item you cannot start the trial with anymore, but in exchange when you find one it always has attachments. Then Ace in the Hole increases the rarity of those add ons in the same sense that Plunderers increases odds of rare items.
So you can only find and use keys in the same trial. That’s the way all items should be imo, and then spawn more chests to compensate.

this game has no competitive aspect whatsoever, people are making it competitive for some reason. there is no one good explanation as to why theres even MMR in this game. its so dumb
This. It’s funny seeing people talk about competitiveness in a game that’s essentially tag. You’re supposed to hide, and fear the killer. Yet you see the exact opposite. The only other simple multiplayer game made complex from my memory was Super Smash Bros, but DbD is a joke compared to SSB. 😂
That’s why the devs don’t fix anything I bet. Because most people play the game for fun while the sweatlords are the ones complaining about “Balance” issues. The game was never meant to be the way they think it should be. The devs never thought that players would grow to be so technical about everything. Which is why they’re all ignored. I bet the players that are insanely good probably don’t even make up 10% of the whole community.

That's what I was thinking. They should make key spawn in chest basekit too which hurts balance even more.

And what if the killer does exactly that? What if they stand in front of a totem and AFK and ensure the survivors can never leave the trial?
Bearing in mind totem spawns aren't that hard to learn and are pretty easy to find.
Then they get reported, and banned. You can easily record a player doing this with your friends and have them penalized. I’ve seen players exploit glitches and features whenever they could. So it’s not the game’s fault, but the sour person who plays that way.
Perhaps make New NOED so that for each totem remaining that’s how many extra minutes the killer gets before the gates are to be powered. So if there’s 5 dull totems and they all light up that’s, say, 5 more minutes given to the killer. That’s enough time to catch as many people as you can. Breaking the totems chops said accumulative time down, and gives extra bloodpoints.

Have you played survivor in a minute cause I can run the killer, complete two gens, and escape and still barely safety pip and now you want to basically give the killer a free kill?
Rancor already gives you a free kill if you got caught as obsession. It happens AFTER everything is done… So nothing changed other than it’s now basekit. Also if you aren’t the obsession that can’t happen. It makes sense that the killer can kill their obsession. A perk shouldn’t be necessary for this.
So I’m guessing you complain about NOED too then? Huh? “I ran killer for 3 gens and he NOED me. Free kill.” 😆

Saying "Just cleanse the totems earlier to counter the hostage situation" doesn't change the fact that the devs are implementing an easily exploitable perk, neither does "Just bring a key". What if the killer does stand in front of one of those totems all game, and no key is brought or found. What then?
Likewise with bugged totem spawns, like on Lèrys and Asylumn, where specific totems cannot be cleansed. What are survivors supposed to do then?
It's not that much of an issue with all other hexes, because all other hex perks do not prevent any possible progress of the game. This iteration of NOED would, and that's an exploitable issue.
Personally, I think NOED should gain stacks for each survivor hooked, and every time you insta down someone it consumes x stacks, making it no longer a hex perk. Make it a perk which rewards playing well, rather than taking a gamble and hoping you gave solos.
Well bugs don’t count because they shouldn’t happen.
Foul play? Exploits? Like camping? Tunneling? More shenanigans we haven’t dealt with? The only way a killer could exploit this “New NOED” is if they physically found a would be god dull totem (The killer can’t even see dulls, nor are they notified during cleansing) and just sat on it. Like literally took a squat right when the trial started. They squat. Because if the killer is doing anything else during the trial the survivor could’ve broken those totems. This hostile situation could’ve been avoided when someone was being chased, downed, or hooked. See now you have something to take your eyes off those gens. You’re worried of what COULD happen. So you take the extra time to make it not happen. Giving the killer opportunity to actually catch people without 3 gens just going off. Which encourages tunnel/camp. It’s sad. As killer even if I 4k I see 2-3 gens pop in 1 chase. In want people to die faster now even if it means proxy camp, etc. It’s because I don’t have any lit totems, and survivors have no other objective when that is the case. New NOED ensures that you will fear totems even if they’re lit. They shouldn’t be ignored. You see one you break it.

Fun fact: On its release, Fire Up was so weak, that people thought the perk was bugged. It hasn´t significanly improved since then.
Making it basekit wouldn´t change much. Since its so weak.
Rancor: i suspect that Rancor (or something similar) will be the planned change to moris. Since the devs want it to be something that feels natural and that the killer has to work towards to.
NOED: this could end in a hostage situation when the killer just stands in front of the last totem and goes afk.
The answer to that doing totems before that hostile situation happens, or find/bring keys. There’s nothing wrong with keys. Especially when you use them after everything has been finished. There’s an achievement for this. It becomes the failsafe in case killer would pull nonsense. It also makes that achievement easier to attain. If a killer sees you with a key and a ritual to spawn the hatch to a certain spot they cannot sit there. If you can open the gate and leave you keep your key. If they decided to do something so lame just leave through hatch. Then they sit there salty, with entity displeased as you got everything done. Still escaped. Would be very satisfying knowing they wasted their time doing that. Imagine the salt. The chats. 😭

The fire up part was a joke dw, that team was fresh garbage lol
I like the idea of noed working like that, but it can easily lead to hostage situations. Totem spots can be blocked by the killer standing in the way, and usually you can just progress the game in this case but if you are required to cleanse all 5 totems then the game cannot progress without the killer moving.
And yes, this is a bannable offence, but that doesn't stop at least one game being completely ruined
That is easily mitigated by breaking all the would be blockable totems prior to finishing everything else. You should leave the one lone totem that’s open in the corn in Cold Wind. Unless the killer is such a loser they’ll stand on top of the would be god totem the WHOLE match, doing a absolutely nothing. In this case they gain nothing. Lose everything.
If you’re caught in that situation it’s no different than a 3 gen triangle against a good Blight, Nurse, or Spirit. The team made a bad play, and finished all the wrong gens. You put yourselves into that bad situation. You had a whole 10 minutes to bust totems, but decided not to. Now the killer can just punish. Especially if they’re sporting enough to play along.
Keys would also counter such foul play. If killer wants to be such a loser and do a sit-in on their precious totem just hatch escape on them. Bring keys. Leave them somewhere safe (I do this in case of Franklin’s). There’s always a way around things in this game, which is what keeps me playing.

Provided that change to NOED isn't basekit and remains a perk, I think I'd prefer it to current NOED. Though it would make No Way Out kind of outclassed in a lot of ways, and we'd still need solo buffs for totem coordination, but it wouldn't be so despised in my eyes.
But no, fire up cannot become basekit. I've clearly proven that fire up singlehandedly carries games
Fire up is too OP and deserves a nerf immidiately, if not sooner.
?gg nerf fire up
If that team lost with all those boosts you’re either insanely good, or they’re really terrible. Possibly even both. Most matches Fired Up doesn’t ever make a difference. If you’re able to apply enough pressure later in the game. BEFORE they finish the last 2 generators. Yes. Any time before that it’s not even noticeable.
NOED could definitely be changed to what I suggested. It doesn’t work like No Way Out. With new NOED the moment all gens are done the survivors are notified of its effect. The gates remained unpowered until they’re all broken. As if the 5 gens weren’t finished. You gotta break up to 5 totems. Then after breaking every totem a survivor could touch the door, and trigger No Way Out. Then after opening a door the killer could trigger Blood Warden. In that order.
So NOED literally becomes what the name suggested. As the perk gave the killer extra time to ensure no one got out… NOED as exposed is just dumb. The only reason people die with NOED… Is because they got caught right when it had activated like Haunted Ground, or the cocky person wants save the sorry sap that got caught. You can escape death at any time. By exiting. 😆

I started using the Wraith with Undetectable, Dark Devotion, and Beast Soot/Bone Clapper. He still wins. So it’s mostly people being unable to out predict the wraith they’re up against. Wraith seems simple, but that’s what makes him all about predicting/positioning. He is only annoying on maps without many vaults.
As long as you have vaults, and healing capabilities the wraith isn’t so bad. Wraiths tend to run Sloppy, or that add on that applies Mangled with a successful surprise attack. My “Nurse” main survivor is ready to counter that.
-
Well one time my Doctor won 50 matches straight before losing. This was just before Blight had came out. Clown and Trapper has yet to “lose”. They always get 3-4K per match. Never Entity Displeased. I lost track if their winnings. Clown is well over 50, but I’ll use purple add ons (Pinky Finger is basically overkill). Trapper is probably 30. Whenever he is about to lose he magically turns the match around. 😂

That's definitely sounding like it's in higher ranks though, and explainable lol. They argue that camping is an actual tactic which is kinda is but it really hinders you more than before. Sometimes it's deadly if they are too altruistic
Which is why you bully them as they bully you. Whenever I play dirty I double pip. Every time.
I always see this killer rant. It’s as bad as survivor rant. The reason killers complain about losing is because they’re trying to be sporting to others so much that the trial becomes very unsporting for them. There’s no reason as a Huntress that you shouldn’t be using Iri Head if you see survivors with multiple Flashlights, Keys, etc (I don’t even use Huntress). You walk in with weak *** add ons, let alone NO add ons, against Navy Seals (Sometimes). You will lose, or worse these survivors will bully you. Sorry if some casualties suffer for playing foul, but IF you can’t take the risk of being bullied as killer... You must assume they’re all SWFs or players ready to bully. Then play to win by any means. Think about it. If you’re a killer main ask yourselves. Why do killers have to chase, down, and hook survivors a certain way..? All while survivors are free to use everything in their arsenal to escape? Comms. Meta Perks. ITEMS. I see DS, DH, and Unbreakable almost every other match! As killer you start winning the moment you stop focusing on how you think you should play against other players.
-
Do what I do. Smoke a blunt. Take a shot every match. Then bully, and be bullied. Use whatever add ons and offerings that make you win. Get some hate mail. Be toxic. 😂

Sekiro was 100% released on all platforms simultaneously. That being said Sony does, imo, have the best exclusives and hopefully the success of bringing Death Stranding and Horizon Zero Dawn to PC will mean more Sony exclusives being ported over in the future cause I refuse to go back in technology and PS5s are no where to be found.
I know, but since I had PS4 for Bloodborne already I just bought the PS4 version of Sekiro. Bloodborne is literally what made me buy a PS4. I had 1 game for like a WHOLE year. The same reason Demon’s Souls will tempt me to get a PS5. 😂

Small PP build is Thrill + Ruin on mobile Killers.
Thrill of the Hunt, Thanatophobia, Ruin, and Dying Light on Trapper with a Bloody Coil. With totem spawns that force you to disarm his traps every single time. Whenever someone irked me I would run that. Survivors will never get all those gens done. 😭 😭 😭
-
In fact I might make that a post tonight. 😂
-
I play both sides so I propose a “Truce”. For every gen done one of the four persons has to let the killer catch them once. Then after there’s 1 gen left the killer can proceed to fully kill everyone by any means. 😂
You can’t say Undying/Ruin is small PP when that’s literally the only thing that allows killers to attack everyone fairly without getting gen rushed. You counter gen rushing by forcing people into second phase, which encourages camp/tunnel. As a single chase can be 2 generators.
The only REAL counter to gen rush would be to update perks to become “Corrupted Hook” perks. Im sure future killers will likely have it after Pin Head. It has a lot of potential. Update existing perks like Dead Man’s Switch, Monstrous Shrine, etc in which they cause 4 hooks to apply those nasty status effects. “Corrupted Hook: Monstrous Shrine”. “Corrupted Hook: Dead Man’s Switch”. Killers would get bonuses for hooking people in certain spots (Why haven’t they made this a core feature?). If survivors cannot stay on the hook for eternity thanks to corrupted hook it’ll pressure survivors to go save sooner. If Dead Man Switch worked as corrupted hook you could get the entity to block gens more often. Given the killer opportunities without it being unfair. As catching and hook requires effort. Like Pop.

Again, why should survivors be the only ones that get a way out when the game becomes a miserable experience?
Because right now, survivors are doing exactly that. Abuse their easy way out, when things don't go as they want.
Killers always have to stay until the survivors are either dead or gone.
If Killers can skip to the end phase they get all their endgame perks to activate. So big no no. They’ll purposefully open a gate to trigger NOED once they’ve set up (The game doesn’t tell you which gate had been opened). Then they’ll use Blood Warden. Imagine Doctor being able to just open the door before survivors can cleanse any totem. Doc gets NOED. Static Blasts, and proceeds to catch everyone. Doctor denies pallets. The same with Nurse, and Nemesis (T2). People hate NOED already despite how weak it is. Doing that would give this perk an actual advantage.
Killer: I’m losing. Let me open a gate to get NOED rq.
When all that fails THEN they D/C. 😂
-
That’s why all I do is smoke, have a few drinks. Then I play how I want. You’re more upset because you trying to find a balance between your satisfaction and the opposing players by being sporting.
The first example is if I ever run gen regression perks I have no need to tunnel/camp players. I can hunt everyone just about as much. Which is why you see Ruin/Undying a lot. It gives killers the time to be fair! Survivors hate it, but do you think they hate being tunneled/camped more?
The second example is me running a Mini Mori Build on Trickster. He’ll camp/tunnel heavily because none of his perks regress generators. If I chase everyone then the gens get done and they walk out. So I bully to lure out the altruism in others. If I don’t see the altruism then I check gens, etc.
Survivors whine at first but then they see I have absolutely no gen perks. If I took the time to chase and hook every person I wouldn’t even get a 2k. Survivors hate every way the killers play. So learn to ignore them. As killer just play how you want. Use Iridescents. Mori (I like Yellow to trick players into thinking it’s Green/Red). Get tbagged by survivors. That’s the toxicity that is DbD.
-
Yes because my Trapper would run STBFL sometimes. So I would rig an area, usually where his totem is. Hit the trapped players to get stacks. Then I’ll try to trap the obsession, and throw them on a hook to save all my stacks. The moment players go for the save the scrambling begins. You hit/down them as they run like headless chickens 🐔. Often times into the traps you scattered in the bushes. Downed two, and the others got trapped. That’s why I love Trapper. You’re losing one second with him but eventually you’ll hear CLAMP “Aaaah!!!”
-
Discordance is an excellent move. So you know for a fact when they’re clustering on gens. Good synergy for undetectable also.
You actually want them to cluster together like that. When they do you can flank them, and can potentially injure/down them. It’s all a matter of knowing exactly WHEN they cluster. Which is where Discordance steps in. When discordance goes off think of where they might hide, or run to when you get close (As they’ll hear you coming). Flank them.
-
If you feel like killers are running NOED too much… You bring a MAP that can track totems..! Even apply the bead to create a light signal to tell my team where the totem is (If the killer chased me away from it)!
You know they’re being cheap by playing this way. Yet you walk in these trials back to back without bringing obvious items that can easily counter this simplistic strategy? If you haven’t remembered Totem spawns already? Laughable. As Red killer I could never make use of NOED even if I tried. It’ll break the moment it lights up.
Who’s actually falling for NOED? You’re one of those that think you can beat killers with NOED, but then fail. If you’re playing the survivor handbook by starting without any items you cannot complain. As the killer is doing everything to get a kill… You do everything to survive. BRING. A. MAP! 😂

No actually he's "not" right. I dont have to try and convince YOU of anything, stay ignorant!
Funny things is you survivor mains act like you have to deal with NOED with every killer. The killers you have to worry about that "might" have Hex: No One Escapes Death are, Trapper, Wraith, Hag, Doctor, Pig, Clown, Spirit, Oni and Nemesis.
Streamers are even going "If you do totems to get rid of a perk that you "think" a killer might have then your a detriment to your team" The top streamer actually said this, and you think thats healthy for the game? You think streamers should be telling their followers this which is pure propaganda and nonsense? Lol Im done!!!!!
They brainwash players into making stupid plays. Which would explain why they win so much. They’ll say “Items are for noobs” and “Don’t break totems it wastes time” on one stream. Then you see them using Ruin/Undying as killer, and using toolboxes as survivor the very next stream! After someone paid them $5 to do it. It’s laughable!! If you want to “win” you do the exact opposite of what players are telling you to do, or not to do! They complaining because you outsmarted them, and took advantage of the key situations! Had they won I guarantee they’d talk big, and belittle you. Fake GGs, and trash talk. 😂

I feel like DbD is The Titanic. The devs steering see the iceberg (Nemesis), but they decide not to do anything about it. Convincing the passengers (Players) it’s fine. We’re at the point where the Iceberg (Nemesis) hit. The titanic had flooded, and is now lifting up. People are dangling, and falling off (quitting). It’s ready to split in half (Pinhead)! It’s not as bad after the last patch. Even nurse blinks would destroy the game. Now it’s just Dead Hard, and Nemesis. I’m hoping I can find a PS5 in November. I heard next gen handles this game a lot better. I wouldn’t want to assemble a PC just for DBD. My variety of games has gotten so small now as to not need PC anymore. Sadly... Then my favorite exclusives were never available for PC. Like Bloodborne, and Sekiro. Which is the ONLY reason I chose console over PC these years. Soon to be Demon’s Souls. By the way, since we're on the topic
Did you know Blast mine actually stuns the killer for 4 seconds instead of 3?
That extra second seems like an eternity.
I don’t even know. The flash is fast but it feels like the stun lasts 5 seconds. Like being DSed or pallet stunned. It’s long enough for me to creep up, and activate Repressed. I even get a couple of feet away before the killer realizes what’s happening most times.
I got tunneled, put into the basement, and face camped by a Clown in Ormond after I successfully pulled it off. The others lived though. Hilarious. 😂
-
Yes. The whole point is Blast Mine AND Repressed Alliance. When the killer tries to waltz across the map to use pop they get stunned. Then you sneak up and block the gen. Wasting their pop and their time. Doing this means you’re getting tunneled, and even face camped. So I suggest having Sprint Burst, and Fixated/Urban ready. 😂

I dont think that every Hex is worth beeing a hex or very powerful, but Ruin is definitly the best Hex and possible still one if not the best killer perk. Even on tournament level its quite standard.
I love using Crowd Control on Trapper. When they fast vault their entire jungle gym gets blocked for a whole 20 seconds. I get freebies. Then I rig the entire area it’s in so everyone going to break the hex gets caught. With that hex I only have to arm the surrounding pallets, and grass. 😂
-
Hexes are good on mobile/trap killers that can actually protect them. Spirit. Nurse. Blight. Hag. Trapper (The best imo depending where it spawned). Trapper can booby trap an entire area with his Devour. Trapper can also use Thrill of the Hunt to make cleansing take forever. Since he can arm traps all over both totems.
-
I didn’t like Legion at first, but after I started playing with him…. I grew to like him. I feel he’s perfectly fine the way he is. Not too strong, not too weak. I main Clown. I also use Trickster, Trapper, and now Legion.
I started using alternative perks on him as “Slow Down Legion” makes people insta-DC… I gave my Legion Discordance and Deathbound. To discourage all team work. When someone heals a health state of another, even laceration, that person will scream (If they do it far enough away). I’ll check to see to see if said people are still together. To lacerate them again. If they healed, but didn’t scream? I know they’re in close proximity to me.
People like characters that they can play fashion with tbh. That’s why you see Feng, Jane, David, Claudette, Kate, Dwight, and Zarina so much. Now I’m seeing Elodie, Felix, and Yun-Jin a lot more since the Rift/Store has been giving him fresh outfits. Legion has a lot of fashion, and 4 alternative forms. So it’s like having 4 characters in 1.

I would be happy with this !
You hit the Nail on the head. He is vanilla. It's like the developers played it extremely safe with him. To afraid to take enough risks to make him "feel" like Nemisis proper. To afraid to give players that power fantasy of controling a unstoppable pursuing monster.
That said, it's additionally annoying as Pinhead is insanely strong and overloaded.
So, adding a few extra zombies wouldn't break the mold creatively bit certainly make Nemisis more fun.
If they add more zombies then his powers shouldn’t hurt. His trick would be to whip infected players so that they crash into incoming zombies.
Survivors typically take the killer back to where the gen is done if the pallets are available. With Nemesis his zombies could be wandering those areas. So now Nemesis becomes the pursuer that is capable of leading survivors somewhere as opposed to survivors just kiting the killer. He whips, you speed up, turn the corner? BAM! Two zombies just bop you upside the head! Like in a real apocalypse. It would really get me when the zombies down me, but I’d rather be downed by them. As opposed to his godly whip that makes looping impossible.
That’s why he should be using zombies that can make tiles unsafe as opposed to being unloopable after T2. 😒
-
Rework: Make the whip contaminate, and grow longer only via infection. Then rework his power. Each time Nemesis gets a viral tier it adds 1 more zombie spawn onto the map. So once/if he reaches Level 3 there can be a total of 5 zombies wandering the map at given time... Then enable survivors to kill the zombies if they sneak up behind them. This is at the expense of altering Nemesis (He sees it die). Pallets, and Head On should slay them (Players would definitely use “By Any Means” a lot more to counter him).
This would not only strengthen Nemesis in his pursuing capabilities (He can plan where to lead survivors), but give also give survivors more interaction during the trial (They get to beat up Zombies in an attempt to lure Nemesis to them). That way as the Nemesis trial goes on it begins feels like Resident Evil. You’re constantly dealing with an endless growing zombie hoard while this big mutha is pursuing you. Just like the game if the zombies cluster together, or swarm… You will surely die! So you have to take care of the zombies. You risk getting infected by zombies doing so, and you alert Nemesis.
If you can kill Victor by walking up to him and performing a kick command… Then it makes sense that players can sneak up behind a zombie, and execute it. Then after like a minute or so they respawn somewhere else. Nemesis would have add ons that strengthen infection rate, or the zombies. Faster movement. Faster respawn. Increased zombie alertness. Within so many meters of an aggressive Zombies it’ll produce a Terror Radius until it loses sight of you (If you’re infected). If a zombie spots a player that is downed during death hook it can “Mori” you… By eating you alive like a zombie normally would during an apocalypse. Wild stuff like that. Right now Nemesis is so vanilla and they could do more.
-
Why do survivors gripe sooo much over NOED??? When I first started as killer other players suggested it. When I got good enough to stay in Red Rank consistently three things would happen.
1.) They cleanse NOED in the time I down, and decide hook someone somewhere after using it.
2.) They cleansed all the dull totems before the end game. So it doesn’t activate.
3.) The team abandons the one sap, and gets a 3-Man Escape. So I still lose. 😂
Never once I have gotten everyone with NOED. Not by itself. With Blood Warden, and No Way Out perhaps. However, those are superior end game perks imo that don’t require NOED to begin with.
I never trust large streamers in regards to things. They’re entertainers, like you said. Meaning a lot of stuff they do would be faked, or staged somehow. They’re no different than a “Mega Church”. In it for the money. What I mean is those big streamers will fight their fanbases, and the fans that recognize the streamers will let them kill/escape. I’ve seen plenty of times in those big streams where the killer lets only the popular streamer escape. Killers dance on the screen, and everything (When I’m survivor killers never do the hokey-pokey). As killer the survivors on their streams make the dumbest plays even inside of the most insane tiles/jungle gyms. Never juking/spinning to dodge. Running in straight lines against a ranged killer. From my experience survivors at Red never do that. They sweat their butts off, spin, and try their best to dodge every single attack. If not where are these lousy players? I want to face them for BBQ/anniversary points! 😂

I'm really starting to think that nobody is actually getting banned from this game. The number of daily active players is closer to being a constant than a variable. How does that happen with this kind of community?
Dead by Daylight is by far top 2 most toxic games I've ever played, definitely not top 1, but also not top >_3. Point is, this community is full of disgusting, frustrated people, with the largest majority of it being people who say "This is fine".
Too many players act like if there are 200 wholesome streamers or partners that pardons the thousands who might very well be psychopaths.
Nothing significant is being done.
What is the most toxic game if this one isn’t? Call of Duty?? Please tell!
-
I would get VERY frustrated also bro, but... You know what I realized? We’re playing public matches. This isn’t a tournament where there are “rules”.
As Killer you’re the dungeon master. If you want to tunnel/face camp do it. Play how YOU want! Who the **** cares about what some sweaty SWFs think? They’re all toxic, have a dozen second chance perks, and use comms. As killer the match is automatically unfair. I feel that’s why all killers are given “broken” add ons. I use them as I see fit.
I don’t believe in those mega streamers that win consistently without any perks. Sure they’re good at the game, but they’re typically fighting their fanbases. Their fans let them hook/escape all the time.
I’m an eye for an eye type of guy. So if the community is mostly toxic you have to be as toxic! If you STILL have hopes for DBD I suggest playing on console and NOT PC. PS5/XBOX Refrigerator (IF I HAD ONE!!) *Timmy’s Dad Voice*. If you see them on the same platform you block them before the match starts. You can’t communicate with cross platform players unless they find you via Console App on their phones. Then I just reply “lol” before blocking them too. They’re just salty because they couldn’t bully/tbag me. Sure I can never truly master Nurse (Sad Face), or do crazy moves with the mega sensitivity PC can achieve; However, I never have to hear what players have to say. Ever. Since I fight mostly PC players as Red Rank anyways.
-
Nah. Because when I’m Red Rank Killer the survivors stay no matter how bad the game gets. They sit there until struggle phase. They hit every skill check until their team gets gens done (If they aren’t trying to rescue). Even cross platform players that came in one at a time does this. Even after being slugged early they’ll try to kobe!
Then the moment I’m Solo Q everyone quits. You could be WINNING, and the survivors QUIT because they felt like a vault/pallet stun should’ve landed. Not even on 2nd phase. They D/C. Then we all die, and depip. I don’t mind losing/depip. It’s the fact I didn’t get any BPs, and survivors are scarce on BPs as is (Unless you run WGLF, Prove Thyself, and No One Left Behind). I wasted 15 mins and only got 10k BPs when I could’ve easily gotten 40k had the match played out.
I’ve seen entitled players quit for the dumbest of reasons and then the killer shows no mercy. So no. Penalize the quitters more.

He's in a similar spot to Deathslinger. Strong in 1v1 but weak in 1v4. Main Event still needs some work, but I think it's unfair to call him a weak Killer against the average player. There are definitely times when he can feel oppressive.
With Main Event I use the add ons to extend the duration of it so that I down a bunch of people when I finally use it. Some people have memorized how long Main Event lasts, and become increasingly bold thinking I’ll stop throwing during his cool down. Going for pick ups, saves, etc. Nope. He just keeps throwing, and throwing. He punishes everyone for being so cocky. 😂

you literally said a small white light would stop you from paying attention to a survivor...
also... your comeback doesn't work... if there was a literal pilar of light showing the way, it wouldn't stop me from doing other stuff at the same time
The light never stopped me either. When I used Plaid Flannel it wasn’t to help blink onto a person. I’m still looking at the survivor. The light is in my peripheral. It indicates whether if I’m going up/down a floor, or pierce through the object in front of me mid chase. I’m still guessing where they are behind the walls, or up a flight of stairs. The light simply confirms that I held the charge long enough to pierce things. It also lets me know if I won’t. Then I can make another muscle move instead of just blatantly missing. You can develop “instinct”, but this isn’t perfect. The best of nurses still crash into walls during intense chases, fall into basements. They glare at the audience every time.
-
Make Power Struggle base kit, but only after wiggling reaches 50%+. Then Power Struggle makes it possible drop pallets at 25% (Half the time). That way solo survivors aren’t totally helpless. I mean even if they knew the killers would no longer walk under pallets under any given circumstance if they carried a person for so long. Meaning players would have make these circumstances. Say there was a hook just outside of basement killer shack where someone was downed, but an ally broke said hook before the killer could hook the person. This would force the killer to walk past a pallet, or drop the survivor… This would only happen with some good coordination. 🤔

people get ######### over by geography all the time, they feel like they charged enough to blink to the other side of a thing, and then they don't. it's normal stuff... seeing the light not cross the thing shows you need to charge more...
you can't multitask?
THANK! YOU! Exactly what I mean! These little things are crucial for her. Something should indicate whether she is going to pierce through a surface. Not even exactly which surface. That way you know to charge more/reposition. This takes time on a moving target. Which also gives survivors time to react. More players would play Nurse, which would bring more sporting Nurses into the field. Th community thinks her flaws are fair because SOME people make facing Nurse unfun. So let’s ruin the entire Nurse experience for EVERYONE willing to play. That’s their thinking.
I observe killer mains on streams during free time. To visualize how they play, and possibly learn new strategies. The “best” of Nurse players gripe about all of this.

I mean, if that's the case, Nurse might not even be for you. Nurse isn't for everyone, and plus, since you're on console, it's even more painful to play as her.
I’m typically not a quitter, that’s why. In this case I replaced her with Blight. Much more manageable. The only “Nurse” I use now is the “Undetectable Nurse”. I have perks that let me know that survivors are on gens with add ons that extend her Blink distances. That way I can actually get grabs off of gens, hooks, and totems whenever her TR vanishes. I actually prefer to play her this way, but there will be times you will have to chase the survivors as opposed so sneak attacks… On console that can be quite difficult with her… Haha 😂

This would affect the good Nurse players that are used to playing without that add-on.
I don’t even want this to be totally honest with you. I Just want some indication of whether I’m about to blink into the lower/upper level of a building. Not exactly where. Just up/down. Sometimes you go straight down into a wall, or some random room…. Even though you’re look/aiming directly towards a Feng Min within the building… Without ever looking down to go blink downwards. Then when I’m looking up to go up she simply blinks forward while looking up! Was this sheer lack of skill/understanding, or just some cruel flaw in her core design? Flaws to a design shouldn’t EVER be a “nerf”. Especially given the fact that the devs nerfed her so much already. Don’t you think? 🤷🏽♂️

Two completely different Killers with two completely different playstyles. The strongest Killer in the game does not need an addon to be made base kit.
Nurse is POTENTIALLY the strongest killer in the game... Based on much time you trained her muscle memory. She is not any easier to learn if one could distinguish whether she is about to blink up/down... You still don’t know EXACTLY she will land upstairs/downstairs. The muscle memory still has to be trained as to exactly where she will appear upstairs/downstairs.
The players that have already pumped that much time into her will kill fast no matter what they add, or remove. So what is the argument against this? 😭

Yeah, no. I Am really not interested in giving sweat asf nurses any further methods of perfecting or playing their killer any easier. Plaid flannel basekit would massively decrease the amount of skill it takes to play nurse, since you could quite literally refuse all blink muscle memory in exchange for being aware of exactly where you'll land. No thanks. Plus the flannel is already super janky, and often doesn't properly communicate where the hell you'll even land. A buggy buff is not something i wanna see for DBD's S++ tier killer.
You’re thinking as if she became more tolerant for new players that every single one of those players would perfect her to that point where they would never miss a blink. Pure delusion! People that good with her already exist. Where’s your logic? Some people want to become just decent with her, but that’s neigh impossible given her intolerance. I’d rather fight decent/good Nurses than a Nurse that’ll stomp your team flat every time. Yet you will never see this because she is literally equivalent to America’s massive wealth gap 😂. It’s great to see that this community is totally okay with getting sweated on every time you see a Nurse.

If anyone did anything for 10K hours they’d be good at whatever they pumped that time into. The catch is… Here we go…! Every Nurse player is not going to pump that much time/effort even if she became more tolerant to play... The result is seeing more Nurses with various skill level, as opposed to just the sweatiest ones that you’re all griping about.
That is why you only see the sweatiest of nurses that makes everyone gripe… There isn’t enough leeway for new players to become decent enough with Nurse so that she is sporting to go against sometimes.
So why is everyone upset about how unsporting she can be if you pump a ridiculous amount of time… If you don’t want others to become good enough to be simply sporting with her either..? Meaning it literally doesn’t make any difference to the best of players what they do to any killer. Since the best of Nurses are a very small %.
The train of thought regarding Nurse is whack. 😭

As a Nurse main who has never ever touched Plaid Flannel, I'd hate having it in my kit.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2444599#Comment_2444599
Pinhead isn't directly lethal with his version of the blink. Nurse is. That's a huge difference that can't be overlooked. Plus, in some examples you stated, any Nurse main worth their salt has absolutely zero issues dealing with shack or hills. Those are lethal areas for the Nurse. Look through the walls of the shack. Blink on top of the hill, not through it from the high side.
I don’t want to know exactly where she will land. Just whether or not she’s going upstairs or downstairs. Even if we all knew she was going to blink up/down you still have to position her correctly, even with muscle memory. Exactly where is she will land upstairs/downstairs is still based solely on the player’s skill. As opposed to thinking “Will she blink upstairs, or not?”.
You also can’t compare 5K players to those who simply want to learn her. No one is going to beat anyone who’s played that much. Unless the opposition played just as much. That’s like comparing the 2% wealthy population that can do literally anything thanks to their money to the 98% that’ll NEVER have that much in their lifetimes.
On top of that she is a glitchy mess (Making her intolerant to play). So one learns her at all. Thats why when we finally see a Nurse she slaughters everyone, and then everyone complains about that. Especially if she has Infectious/Starstruck. If the devs fixed her core issues you’d see more decent nurses that are fun, but no. Everyone here just wants a gawd nurse that makes everyone feel bad, and RQ. 😂

It's an Iridescent add-on, so unless you pour all your bloodpoints into him, you won't have it often. Even if you do you aren't guaranteed to always get it.
Nurse has far greater mobility than him and can move between floors and through walls. If you're a good enough Nurse, you can read and predict Survivor movements to the point where LoS blockers don't become much of an issue anymore.
Nurse has the highest skill ceiling in the game for a reason, Pinhead's doesn't come close, like most Killers, because there's only so far you can go. If his Iri add-on let him injure both health states, that would be a bit busted, but it doesn't let you fully down. His iri just straight up makes his power better but doesn't tip it over the edge, like almost every Iri add-on should.
You’re ignoring the fact that these are flaws to her design.
1.) She is supposed to blink through everything, but she clearly cant! The devs already shredded her before I started playing.
2.) Blinking on a flat surface as opposed to up/down is a completely different story. When you’re chasing someone how are you supposed to know the blink will send you directly beneath them. You don’t! I’ve watched Nurse mains that preach they have thousands of hours, and this happens to them too.
This isn’t a measure of skill, but a flaw to her entire design. If Pinhead has it she should have something to tell you that “You can’t blink here”, or “You’re about to blink up/down”. That way a player can try to adjust her blink to where I think she MIGHT go Which is actual skill.
Again, survivors run her to killer shed hoping this happens every time. They run around the hills knowing she can’t blink through them. I don’t even think they fixed the Meat Plant juke room that leads to the bathroom basement. That isn’t skill. It’s just aggravating, and stupid. She’s hard enough. Imho

I agree with this wholeheartedly. If there was a better gradiation between nurses then people wouldn't feel like they were sitting on a rusty cactus when they go against a god tier one because they've already had plenty of practice.
The feeling of helplessness survivors have against nurse comes from the fact they face so few good ones, and thus are ill equipped to deal with the killer at all.
I only want an indication on whether I’m going up/down or simply nowhere at all. Why is that so difficult? I don’t mind how she is outside of this one critical flaw. She’s hard enough. If she can’t blink through something in particular, or has difficulty, the game should indicate this to the player. By having her make a sound for you, a little icon appearing. Something. So you can adjust and not waste anymore time. She already wastes so much time on a failed blink. Usually when I’m winning with Nurse some instance like this happens, or survivors exactly run to where she can’t blink properly. This isn’t fair given how difficult she already is. Which is why I don’t play her anymore unless it’s the “Undetectable Spook Nurse”.

Navigating his chain can be a pain, that's where the skill element comes in to it. Mastering the controls and timing. It basically is a Nurse blink, but with less reward. I think If Nurse knew where she was going to blink, it would make learning her and using her much easier, which is something we don't want considering what she can do. She's the way she is for a reason, as is Pinhead.
I would agree fully had he not have a purple add on that take health states, but he has one of them… Soooo yeah. Pinhead becomes EZ Nurse. 🤷🏽♂️
I don’t want to see it all the time. Just when she blinks up/down a floor, or some stairs. So when players take you to there you simply miss. Not because of skill, but technical error. You wouldn’t miss in this instance if you could see yourself going down when you don’t desire this, you can adjust accordingly. Survivors play on this A LOT. Nurse already has enough migraines. She can’t blink through hills, out of basement, or certain locations on a map in general. That’s why I started using Blight. Fun with less headache, especially on Cunsul. If Purple Pinhead is the solution that’s what I’ll do. Just like Blight. Solutions. Lol
