  • Losing your chances to get off is done just so the killer doesn't have to camp you to make sure you don't get off the hook.

Trust me I played before the last hook auto death it was just a waiting game for the killer which was unfun and it was boring for the survivor as the moment they get off they get smacked back down then wait another minute on the floor for DS to wear off.

As for struggle point I think giving anyone who is auto death are given full struggle survival BP would be a good idea.

  • There's a reason why even when your farming you usually do most generators especially when the killer is doing pallet stuns/breaking as the map resources are actively disappearing.

Mind you I have never had a killer fake farm me but at the same time thought I do usually co-op generators quickly in those games to max out objective.

  • Its usually a draw at a 2k.

That's it really its the expected TIE of a game the devs say they want.

It never really feels good to get as the 2nd person to die is usually just camped to death once the last generator is done.

  • This is an amazing idea to reduce the grind!

That's why it will never be implemented as the devs seem to be too scared of people leaving once the grind it done for them to ever fix the ever increasing grind.

  • Despite how much his one phase "Pretty good job so far" is memed to death.

He still if I am remembering correctly the main person responsible for a lot of the early licensed chapters such as the Halloween chapter.

So a lot of his chapter contribution are fan favorites.

  • It means land basic attacks.

Special attacks are usually attacks that are projectiles or can break pallets.

So for example: Blight's basic attacks count but his lethal rush doesn't because it can break pallets.

However killer's power such as Deathslinger, Nurse, Wraith, and Spirit which have mobility/Movement manipulation based powers. They count as basic attacks if you land an M1 attack since they can't break pallets.

For example: Deathslinger's only counts if you successfully melee then after a pull as landing the shot itself doesn't count.

  • Its insanely hard to be nice with how snowbally the game is.

I mean I have just recently had a game where I had someone always hooked and/or slugged(Clearly a brand new survivor so slugging instead of death hooking to give them a chance) at all times and still nearly lost because it was badham springwood.

I do feel really bad with how many survivors and killers are being thrown in way over their head against me on both sides but at the same time its really hard to play nice.

  • The only way I can see it happening is if you throw the slow gas at slightly ahead a pallet survivors are being forced through.

Then throw the yellow gas on the other side of the pallet.

The survivor is forced through both gases.

That being said good luck setting that up.

    Again-

And I really appreciate your reply, so it's not that I'm arguing it.

The Hag had NO terror radius EVER.

EVER. I mean i don't play Hag, so do those Add-ons make her ninja Hag? Does it entirely eliminate her terror radius for the entire match?

She could be right beside me, and no heartbeat.

The Legion had NO chase music. No music at all. Nothing. And I know Legions funky Add-ons, it was like a muted heartbeat- barely audible. Never changing. Even on the hook. Not that one where it sounds like he's up your bunghole no matter where you are on the map.

I just had a match with Spirit. her phasing made no noise. I know Spirit, I play her. No Add-on makes her completely silent. You can always hear her phasing.

But MMR test. That answers my other questions, so thanks!

Did she have any kind of undetectable granting perks such as beast of pray, Trail of Torment, or tinkerer or the above mentioned undetectable add-ons?

All Temp status' have been bugging out since the last major patch where they'd randomly become permanent including things like Movement Speed ups and downs/Blind/Oblivious/Undetectable.

As for legion/spirit idk but it sounds like the sound bugs that have been plaguing killers for years are sadly now coming full circle to hurt the survivors.

  • First game of MMR as a survivor:

Getting farmed to death off of hook by an immersed Quinton who then did it another teammate. Farming half the team to death.

Yep they reset the MMR again and it needs time to re-calibrate.

  • The only way thematically he's work would be if he was a parasite who broke into the entity's realms.

That being when he "sacrifices" survivors he feeds on all the emotion and leaves nothing left for the entity.

Thus having his own hijacked version of realms but provoking the entity in the process having the entity itself aid the survivors against Pennywise.

Sadly this could never happen given the technically restrictions of the game and the fact that it would require an immense amount of work with upkeep when a new map comes out.

  • So you want to nerf all hexes for the action of one: Ruin.

Yet you don't see this from a fundmental flaw in your idea before we address anything else.

Also you want to nerf a combo of perks that can literally be disabled(Hexes) or are directly controlled by the survivor when they activate(Tinkerer)!?

You ALREADY have near complete control over the killer's perks with that set up and you want it to be nerfed!?

  • @WexlerWendigo said:

Not the complaints about dead dawg being survivor sided when it’s the most killer sided map in the game… lol.

Any good windows on the map make up for the fact that the pallets are absolute trash.

That is statistically untrue from what the devs have released with Hawkins being the most dangerous and the saloon wasn't even on the list for killer sided maps if I am remembering correctly.

The door right next to the Window makes this Window useless. It is like 2cm next to the Window.

You wont be able to do multiple rounds around both windows when the Wall in this room is broken.

People can do that ALREADY WITHOUT the 2nd window. It will simply make it easier to do.

I'd laugh if opening that window is what gets the real problem window nerfed.

  • All seeing blood's range is pitifully small at 12 meters.

12 meter isn't much given that its the same range as kindred level 2 killer aura reveal which if you ever used it barely reveals the killer at all.

Its mainly helpful for his anti loop at high walls but that's pretty much it or survivors trying to crouch around a generator as its range is too small for most other purposes.

The reason I ask because It doesn't seem fair how if a killer DC they feel bad but if the survivors DC they are insulted for it. It just seem hypocritical to be for one but not the other.

It depends on the situation ultimately. So for Survivor DCs:

If I see a survivor getting farmed to death by their teammates then I feel bad for them.

However if they are clicky clicky and DC when they get out played I laugh at them for failing to be toxic.

    Vice versa for Killer DCs:

If the Killer is clearly not having a good time and is getting bullied by the other survivors then DCs, I feel bad for them.

However if they try to be toxic, Such as a Tbagging ghost face/purposely trying to make everyone bleed out. Then they DC when they fail at being toxic I laugh at them for it.

But overall I don't like it when anyone DCs and as a survivor my region always has insanely long survivor queues so a killer DCing can mean up to a 10 min wait to play again.

  • It has merc mode and an infinite use one handed machine gun.

Yes both are post game but it has the most cathartic post game in the series with a playable boss Wesker and his famous egg lines.

    Plus bolder punching.

Same goes for Pyramid Head's punishment of the damned. Zero vertical traversal. They'll have a lot of work to do if they want to cleanly transition to maps with more verticality.

Don't forget about the Doctor whose Shock Therapy(Chase power) works the exact same way as Punishment of the Damned.

  • Not really as I have faced a lot of wraiths but they rarely even use the perk.

One time it did work in a game(Due to the scream everyone knows when it works) they never got the exposed hit as they were too preoccupied to get to me before I hid.

  • Yes I do, a lot in fact.

Most of the time its as survivor with what is very clearly a console SWF 3 man on my team.

They really love to try to sandbag me to death...

That being said PC players aren't much better but that wasn't part of the question.

  • Its called hex roulette and its been a meme build for years.

While it can be powerful its also insanely inconsistent and is weighted AGAINST the killer if it works or not.

TBH I'd like to run up against it as I am usually the person blowing up hexes/Breaking dull bones so I'd be having the time of my life there.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Yes. Even tho most chicken out and dodge.

However, Names and Profiles should be hidden. There is no reason gameplay-wise to show them.

On steam I actually do double check people's profiles and use it to dodge in lobby players who have bans for hacking on their profiles.

  • To be fair with break down:

There have been bugs with it that make it OP by causing it to permanently break hooks.

So due to game breaking bugs Break down has been op in the past even just a few months ago.

Also MoM at release was one of the most blatantly overpowered perks ever released.

MoM was just nerfed so hard there's still is a smoking crater from where the nerf hit it.

MoM's old effect is after you were hit 3 times you gained endurance. So you always got an extra 2 hits in every trail(Even more if you managed to escape a chase and heal) much like how nemesis gives survivors' with contamination.

  • The simple answer is that depending on what is brought and what killer is being played the survivor map offerings can be outright unbeatable unless the survivors royally screw up.

An example is getting a Huntress or Deathslinger on haddonfield as there are legit infinite loop spawns against them on that map...If not multiples.

This means that in this example if the survivors know how/get to exploit the infinite(s) they win by default.

There's not a single map in the entire game that is an auto win for killers or atleast not anymore with "The Game"'s rework for the doctor.

Today has just been quite the day of DbD. I just ran into my first hacker after a good 2000+ hours of playing. I was Survivor on Midwich (Now that I think about it, I think the Hacker brought the Midwich offering). It was against a Deathslinger, and the hacker was a Nea.

They weren't even subtle about it either, instantly healing any Survivor that was downed. At first, I thought he just had for the people.

But then he did it again, and again, and again.

The poor Slinger DC'ed too. I reported him, don't worry.

You can instantly tell if its "For the People" because it causes the broken status effect on the user which appears on everyone's hud.

Plus they for a self explanatory reason become injured to do so.

I don't know about you two, but I usually skip threads I'm not interested in. These threads are gonna keep popping up because people are interested in a FNAF chapter. Let people ask for whatever they want. @Warcrafter4

I am guessing you missed the question in the OP's post:

"I legitimately don’t see why people don’t think Springtrap would work in DBD. Not only does he get bonus points for his series being a pop culture icon in the horror genre, he has the rich— dare I say— dripping lore to back it up."

I never said they couldn't ask but I simply answered their question to the best of my abilities.

  • I know you don't mean Ill but one of the reason people want to keep FNAF out is the fact that at before nearly every single release people always ask and beg for them to be included.

Its just eventually gets on everyone nerves to have these threads pop up constantly every single time a new killer is being speculated about.

People are just sick and tired of people begging for Springtrap to be included.

I don't even know why killer complain about this....it's an easy perk to counter.

    Other then trapper.*

Its really stupid that a perk can turn a killer's power against them like Dead hard can against trapper.

It also goes against their stated new design principles of having a perk hard counter a killer's power entirely(The whole iron will change is a mess I don't want to touch).

3 tooboxes and a key is the equivalent of holding a sign saying:

"I don't want to play with you just want to waste your time."

As lets be honest those games usually are just a waste of time and if they clearly don't want to play against me then I won't play against them.

Because he is basically a short range 115 deathslinger who never has to reload and can break pallets with his shot.

Once the ball is rolling with Nemesis he is extremely strong, and survivors getting tunneled off the hook don’t have time to get a vaccine.

    I'm sorry but no.

Nemesis cant' do anything near what Deathslinger can at loops and gives survivors up to 8 extra health states per game.

I mean for anti loop Deathslinger can spear you through the dang walls on some shacks to get hits which nemesis can't do.

His Shot range is 18 meters meanwhile Nemesis' is only 5 base 6 at T3.

I have no idea how you could compare the two.

Yeah, I put him in B tier before, but now I'm thinking low C tier.

I never understood the whole B tier rating when he gives the survivors an extra 8 health states per game.

Remember theoretically because of the cures and what not it can take an extra 5 hits to down a single survivor if they used all of cures.

Edit: I just want to know what made you originally think that nemesis was a B tier and what made you change your mind.

  • @JPA said:

The thing is you have a paid skin on Trapper, not to mention three tier 3 perks from other Killers including Bubba, Plague, and Clown. So it's not as if you are brand new to the game. Is rank 13 the highest you've ever been?

(I mean just playing devils advocate here. I know the matchmaking is broken where ranks are concerned, but this has been well known for a while now, your rank 13 is meaningless anyway as anyone who takes a break from the game for a while will drop down to those ranks, so you could just as easily play Survivors who are low ranked, but actually have hundreds if not thousands of hours of experience)

Every single one of those perks was in the extra cheap shrine during the anniversary event.

So they could have just bought them during said event with iri shards and leveled up a killer to play as while they play as survivor.

Remember the Shrine of secrets exists and so does leveling up killers while playing survivor and vice versa.

From those comments it seems as if the pallet fix screwed up some parts of DBD code for hit registration in general.

The killer does something in accordance to what they see but the server does not validate it in accordance of what survivor might see and vice versa?

And now the server is the judge for more latency sensitive interactions?

Plague's puke has been broken since the dedicated server release due to how it was designed(Its a LOT of projectiles with a lot of interaction code instead of a constant/consistent stream).

However its only gotten worse with time and well the hit rollback only makes it worse then every before.

Big fan of videos which cannot be played.

Anyway, I dont really know anything of Pallet Vacuum, I did not experience it so far since the Patch. However, indeed Pallets should let way less hits through than before, and Killers WILL have to get used to it, even without Pallet Vacuum (this should obviously go).

But, I am pretty sure the loud Killer Community will complain enough so it all gets reverted.

I have no idea why its like that given that the video is still up nor do I know how to fix it.

However its mainly showing that even if the killer does hit the survivor from behind as the survivor drops the pallet in front of them.

The game will consistently rollback survivor hits or even vacuum the killer to the opposite side of the pallet of the pallet despite the killer not even touching said pallet.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

The Pallets are working as they should - the information you got not.

If the Survivor does not go down/is not injured, this means that your Hit did not count - it should not have been a Hit. However, you still get the information that this is a hit.

This is the only thing which works incorrectly. But in general, if this happens, the Hit was not meant to hit.

"Pallets are working as they should"

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQ4fUJrYirA&list=LL&index=1

Meanwhile in practice it grants Iframes regardless of it should or not AND BROUGHT BACK PALLET VACUUM!

  • I feel like the black heart/Barb's glasses shows one of the main issues with demo:

    Demo has no good add-ons.

Outside of those two add-ons there's next to nothing in Demo's add-on catalog that does much outside of a select few high rarity ones such as the whistle.

The other main issue outside of being weak number wise is that demo's add-ons are scatter brained:

Demo has slower portal sealing, Portal detection, Extra portals, less portals, portal travel speed, Portal travel recovery, Detection while traveling, slower travel exits, Silent travel add-ons, Post portal stealth, Portal creation speed, Portal destroying, Portal status effects, Missed shred recovery, Hit shred recovery, Faster Pallet shred, and Faster movement while holding shred.

I mean Demo's add-ons cant' keep a consistent ability across them or if they do they have a downside for no reason along with most being for portals which is the least used part of Demo's kit.

I think her traps should be changed to actually have a set percentage instead of what it is now. It should be

    1st box = 25%

    2nd box = 50%

    3rd box = 75%

    4th box = 100%

but thats only if they keep the system of needing to go box to box to find the key.

This solves NOTHING and is heavily survivor sided.

This suggestion would just causes the first issue to happen constantly where her powers don't slow down the survivors enough.

Along with not helping the 2nd issue of survivors randomly dying because of bad luck.

Sure they did, but in their mind the killer in this video both somehow didn't hit the survivor before the pallet was dropped, and also the killer must have 300ms ping. That way, their ignorant statement is actually true

You do know this happens with sub 30 ping Vs 200+ ping survivors right?

    @Hannon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2400214#Comment_2400214

    Yes I did

the pallet stun is registered first on the server

even tho he hit them in his screen.

    that’s just how latency works…

Ping doesn't matter nor does who gets it first as this video proves. Its entirely survivor sided despite what the developers have said.

  • I mainly just want her traps to be less RNG to make it fair for both the survivors and killer.

As it currently stands if the survivors gets the party hat off first time then its useless to the pig.

If it takes the survivor to the last box to get the hat off then it gives the pig a lot of time.

Or they might be insta killed by the hat depending on how bad the box spawns are.

  • @Hannon said:

if the survivor throws the pallet before you hit him on the server that’s what should happen…

The new pallet hit validation it’s working properly

if you don’t want this to happen try to get better latency

You didn't watch the video did you...

  • The event only doubles the end game BP score earned like a Bloody Party Streamer does.

It however does stack manipulatively with BP offerings granting an insane amount of BP per game.

How about you play survivor, get hit then immediately throw down a pallet, see how that goes for you?

Dude I have been halfway through an attack cooldown(1.5 seconds) then have had it rolled back.

I'm sorry but I do not have 1500 ping nor does it spike like that for me in DbD as that would be unplayable.

Its not a basic attack as intended.

    Its AN INSTANT DOWN!

Its also glitched in a different way for blight/oni whom glitched grabs breaks pallets if it happens at one.
