Victor has me concerned for future plans of more diverse, undulating terrain.

Yet, again, on swamp, around the slopes, I attempt Pounce, yet bounce into absolutely nothing, giving survivor that SHOULD have been hit by Victor a free crush instead.

The announcement for plans to transition game engines, and then start to work on better map terrain sounded exciting at first.

Now that I’m a Twins main, that prospect actually has me terrified now.

  • It's not even just a Victor problem.

I remember playing Billy trying to chainsaw a survivor running up stairs in the 2 story badham house and colliding with the stairway instead of running up it.

  • There's a lot of killers that depend on the terrain being flat, they would have to change that unless they want to butcher half the killer roster (and some of these are weak as is).

  • yeah its very weird that they want that kind of terrain but also limited Nemesis' vertical aim so that if survivors are more than slightly above you, you cant hit them

Same goes for Pyramid Head's punishment of the damned. Zero vertical traversal. They'll have a lot of work to do if they want to cleanly transition to maps with more verticality.

  • I think Doc's shock therapy might need to be tweaked too, i remember it not hitting people when they were like 2 steps above or below his.

Like thosewooden stairs at the yamaoka estate

  • If they do this then they need to change how pyramid heads power works

Don't forget about the Doctor whose Shock Therapy(Chase power) works the exact same way as Punishment of the Damned.

  • Nemesis' tentacle can't reach upstairs. So some maps SUCK trying to use that power

  • Don't forget about normal vaults, you either go double the distance through it or just slide off of it and die.

  • Its because the bounding boxes on most terrain are unreasonably large. For a good example of this you can look up shounic's on the righteous bison being unable to fire up ramps. Same applies here, poor boundary boxing on certain game objects renders projectiles (this includes victor) colliding with invisible boundary boxes floating in mid air. Completely rudimentary fix that even the most amateur mappers could fix, but BHVR chooses not to.

  • They are clearly not considering killer's powers when designing the latest maps.
