  • I feel like this would punish people who lack a lot of the "redundant" perks in the game.

Someone with full perks would always have a regression perk for generations meanwhile someone else who doesn't will be forced to go through a lot of games without generator defence.

Ruin,Pop,Surge,Eruption, and Oppression would be cycled out by killers who had them but half of those are paid only perks so this would cause a Pay 2 Win situation where the more you can pay the more generator defence you can play per game.

  • Mine would be a "Artificial/Pseudo" Survivor made by the entity itself as a failed attempt at self sufficiency.

It would seem be a normal survivor but with a warped mocking voice imitating the current game's killer's stun sound with a filter when injured.

They will also become more deformed in appearance when injured, also while bleeding blighted goo on the body that turns into normal blood(This also makes their body glow orange but not the blood pools).

When sacrificed or killed they would melt into orange blight goo.

All of their perks would be based around manipulating the entity, such as:

    Entity's Doorways:

After you complete a generator or repair it for 66% you gain a token(Max of 2 tokens per game and only 1 per generator). To use a token enter a locker to teleport to a locker on the opposite side of the map after X seconds.

During the activation of the perk the entity will begin to wrap its spider-like tendrils around the locker as a warning to the killer that a survivor is using the perk(So they can attempt to punish any survivors recklessly using it mid chase) and the original locker will slowly open to black smoke once the teleport goes off before closing again.

  • Both are horrible but most killers can at least use their powers in haddon.

Also I don't need to say why survivors would favor haddon over RPD.

  • I feel like if shouldn't go on cooldown unless at least half/Two thirds of the sabotage is done.

This would make it so accidentally tapping doesn't make it go on cooldown but if the killer does interrupt it your out of your Sabotage.

Remember Sabotage is one of the strongest mechanics(Effectively giving a teammate an extra hook state) if it works which is why its so restrictive.

its a really good game still. its hated for a good reason at the same time tho. just cause its not as good as the og aint mean its still not amazing.

Not to derail this but most of the complainst past the agility stat which Adaptability and attument both give don't make sense. As every dark souls game is gulty of literally everything else people complain about in 2(And each is uniquely usually worse versions of some issues then 2).

Anyways back to the thread I think another one that would be an interesting killer but would never make it into the game would be a Terraria Corruption/Crimson themed killer.

Both for the fact it would be a terraforming killer(Given that's the whole theme of the Corruption/Crimson) wouldn't work with the current engine but they'd have to invent one as there's no good candidates for a killer in Terraria period.

  • For as much as I'd like to see The Forlorn in the game, I doubt they'd be ever adding a Dark Souls character to the game.

Let alone one from the over-hated 2nd game.

  • Its a great perk because it lets you unhook yourself and if no one is coming for you and are working on generators it effectively doubles how fast your generators go for the hook.

The idea behind this is that when there's a hooked survivor and the killer is chasing another theres 2 survivors left. Normally one would go for the rescue while the other works on a generator.

You unhooking yourself means what would normally be the rescuer can stay on a generator and push twice as much gen progression on the killer.

However this is situational and normally only happens in a SWF but it does show how powerful it can be.

  • Its a special attack as the golden rule goes: If it can break a pallet or hit over a pallet, its a special attack.

Lethal rush can break pallets so it is a special attack.

    Think about it,

DBD is the only game(which is why i think it's a pretty dumb game, addictive but badly designed) where you can stand still and have a high a chance of killing everyone.

Do a test and try to camp with any killer, no perks and see that you'll win many if not most of your matches just for camping a guy, watching how the other bot team mates will die trying to save him. add noed to the mix like otzdarva did and you'll 4k many of your matches.

Try to think of ONE game in the whole gaming industry, that just standing still instead of running around and trying to kill the rest of your opponents can be so rewarded.

This game is badly designed but also well designed and that's the problem with it, if it makes sense.

You clearly haven't played most FPS games if you think this as most have traps/sentry deploy-able which once set up you can stand still and win.

Heck in TF2 the engineer is so infamous for this he's given a lot of taunts of him effectively standing still indefinitely.

Heck one is him making himself a recliner and laying down on his back on it; its his most popular taunt too.

How can this be acceptable?? I'm behind a rock the size of my bady and I was crouching. Is not acceptable at all.

Here's something dumb is that survivors while injured actually outrun their own hitbox slightly.

If you knew the how the hitboxes where then its a hit and that's before you consider latency.

Its very stupid but that's how it works as no matter what pose a standing survivor is in their hitbox is the same as standing still.

  • He's been Survivor's punching bag for so long that Survivors are used to bulling him every game and now they are complaining that they can't bully him anymore.

I full expect if the devs every made the clown a remotely good killer people will be complaining the same way for the same reason.

  • It will just cause infinite queues as you'd have to consider who was banned by each of the 5 respective players needed.

Also as @Clowning pointed out it would be abused by people who want easier games by blocking all of the good players they have played against.

  • Its been a know bug for a while now that the hatch has collision before its intended to.

Even without sound you can tell where it is as getting on top of it will physically lift your character up slightly.

  • Dead Hard is annoying but I never get hate for it unlike what I see my teammates get for successfully using Unbreakable or DS.

Unless its trapper but then again its trapper and he's still countered by way too many perks.

  • They are both territorial killers who gain mobility by placing their powers.

If they hooked you near a generator where else would they put it?

When one power being placed in front of you can both protect the hook and the generator it would be foolish to put it anywhere else.

Speed addons literally make turning easier at loops. It's like double engravings on Billy, you get hits that you wouldn't without them.

His build was Ruin, Undying, Infectious and Monitor and Abuse. The first two are slowdowns, the other two for slugging. Having both at the same build is totally doable. I'm also not complaining about this specific Blight (hence why the "s" on the title).

"Also you can play around infectious by splitting up" again you don't get the point of the post. Solo survivor is already miserable enough, coordinating against a good Blight with Infectious is not easy. He can patrol the almost the entire map with one usage of his power. He left everyone slugged so eventually we had to go back and pick up. At this point there's no time to split up.

Ok its clear now that you have never played blight or at least never with the speed add-ons as Movement Speed is =/= to Turn-Rate, which are a separate add-on line.

There's no point in discussing this further.

  • @GrimoireWeiss said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2450160#Comment_2450160

You're not getting the point. I don't have a problem with basekit Blight, the problem are his addons and the massive amount of slowdown people think is needed on a S Tier killer.

Speed addons eliminate counterplay on a lot of loops without having a downside, and Alchemist Ring makes it impossible to chain loops if he manages to hit you, and makes Infectious absurdly good on him. It's the same problem Omega Nurse and Instasaw Billy had.

The downside of the movement speed add-ons is that he gets less time to turn.

He moves forwards faster but has a harder time making sudden turns. Along with the hit windows becoming smaller and smaller the longer the rush chain goes due to the speed stacking.

Also your both complaining about mass slowdown on a slugging build... Which one did he have? Killers only have 4 perks and well he needs at least 3 perks to either for it to count as either.

Also you can play around infectious by splitting up so him infinitely chaining it is you and your team misplaying.

I get that your tilted from a blight going full try hard troll but your points are starting to contradict each other.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2450153#Comment_2450153

You must be going against pretty bad Blights or be a pretty bad Blight yourself then. I play Blight myself and, although I don't main him, getting hits at loops is totally doable. With speed addons it's even easier.

"Its very hard for him to actually get a hit with his power at most loops due to how easily it can juked." Again, are you joking? Even semi-decent Blights very rarely get juked.

That or your not very good against blights nor have you played against survivor who knows how to play against him?

He's not overpowered and while strong because of his mobility he does have counterplay by juking him/running him to loops where his power isn't very good or has a limited possible angles to hit you such as shack.

  • @GrimoireWeiss said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2450145#Comment_2450145

"Blight has no real way of downing survivors faster then anyone else". Are you joking? Blight has one of the best chases in the game.

Oni is better at slugging but his power has a limited duration and after it ends he has to either collect orbs or get M1s. A Blight with Alchemist Ring + Blighted Crow just keeps constant pressure at you without basically ever running out of power. If he manages to hit you with his Rush good luck trying to get anywhere because thanks to these balanced addons he'll probably catch you before you're able to.

If he's constantly downing you with his power then he's catching you out in deadzones or transition tiles as unless the blight is very skilled.

Its very hard for him to actually get a hit with his power at most loops due to how easily it can juked.

If your constantly being downed at loops by blight's power then that's a you thing.

  • Blight has no real way of downing survivors faster then anyone else. He just has high map mobility.

Mass slugging is Oni's thing and he's much better at it then blight.

Also farm maps and indoor maps are the bane of the Blight so seeing one go full Tilt Slugging(Aka "If I can't have fun here, no one can!") is sadly not unusual.

This isnt a complaint just wondered what people think. With a handful of killers that can just make it impossible to save in the basement and any killer can at least get a trade if anyone goes for unhooks is the basement good for DBD?

Also as killer some times you just wanna hook and go and if basement is the only hooks around that wastes a lot of time

Its intended to be a trade off for insanely powerful loops that it always spawns by.

Using Shack as an example: Survivors get an insanely strong window and a god pallet at the cost of if they go down they go into the basement and potentially never leaving it.

  • A lot of his very rares/ultra rares are either missing an effect or just don't last long enough(Or both).

For Scarlet Egg it should have the additional effect of revealing the aura of a survivor crouching on the trail for the first 3-5 seconds.

For Rust Colored Egg it should be Blinded until healed plus 10% speed penalty to any non Chase/non Altruistic actions until healed.

For Lost Memories Book it should have the effect of applying Deafened in addition to oblivious and last for 45 seconds.

For Crimson Ceremony Book it should apply Mangled and have the extra/quicker Hemorrhage blood pools Sloppy Butcher gives.

For Obsidian Goblet its Undetectable status should last for 10 sec after getting off of the trail.

For Iridescent Seal of Metatron it should just reveal all survivors unconditionally.

  • With the hallowed blight cosmetics effectively being a heavily more detailed oozing varient of legacy.

The developers have no real reason to bring back legacy over just giving everyone a blight skin.

I think "Addendum" would be a proper name for it as its purely adding to previous "Chapters" which in writing would be an addendum.

But ya a Health/Map focused updates would be good for the game expecially if they buffed bad perks along with them to keep people playing with something new.

  • The Nurse's lore is all over the place and isn't very well thought through.

Both her base story and her archives more or less contradict her own motives between the 2 stories along with not explaining anything of what or why the nurse became what she is.

  • They readded in pallet vacuum and made pallets entirely survivor sided no matter what.

Did anyone really expect them to actually fix the issue instead of just doing the lazy way of survivor PoV is always right?

Its actually quiet hard to not hear it but much like freddy's lullaby you'll actually need to know what to listen for.

Plus he walks like an elephant making his foot steps insanely loud at all times even while undetectable much like Demo's footsteps.

Also I have played back when he didn't have the first version of windstorm baseline(Post stealth sprint burst used to be an addon) and trust me it made his power an active detriment as you'd always lose distance while uncloaking making his power unusable in chase.

    Scourge: monstrous shrine

    Basement hooks become scourged.

When you hook a survivor in the basement 4 random hooks around the map become scourged hooks.

If a survivor is on a scourged hook gain: When you hit a survivor 16 or more meters away from a scourge hooked survivor they suffer from exhaustion for 20 seconds.

Survivors can't unhook themselves while on a scourged hook but can still attempt anyways.

  • For survivor I suggest Felix has:Visionary(Good on indoor maps) and Desperate measures(Redundant back up for a healing perk).

But last but not least being Built to Last is insane with good items and can let you deplete the same item twice for the archives.

For killers its: Billy still has a lot of good perks having Tinkerer,Enduring(Goes well with spirit fury),Lightborn.

Legion also has good perks if not always the most useful ones: Discordance,Mad grit(You have star struck so you can full meme this perk), and iron maiden for huntress, trickster, and sometimes doctor.

One of Nurse's most annoying and awful bugs is the blink bug where you can only blink once and then your second blink automatically triggers, but you cant use it, and you are forced to fatigue it goes on like that typically for the rest of the matchmaking your second blink unusable. The worst part about it is that it's super common, the longer the game goes on the better your chances of getting the blink bug are I believe because when I end matches fast I never get it, but for longer matches, depending on how much I played I see it quite a lot and it basically means you are playing with one blink the entire rest of the game. It's been like this for a long long time and I just wish they at least said they know about it and are working to fix it because there really shouldn't be such a game-breaking bug on a killer that's been in the game so long.

Fixing bugs would make people play Nurse more and her entire base-kit gutting was meant to make her as unfun to play as as possible.

There is no real explanation for why they have left these bugs in for so long other then that they don't want Nurse to be played.

  • If I check people's steam accounts and find a hacking bans on it, I am out regardless of what side I am playing on.

If I'd get a penalty to dodging a hacker lobbies then I just wouldn't play the game.

  • @Predated said:

Thing is though. What if the license gets renewed in the future? You would literally have 2 copies of the same killer.

I'd rather have a killer that is an homage to Demo rather than being the exact same killer. Same as Bubba and Billy for example: similar concept, different kit.

I feel like this would be the best choice as it avoids any legal shanangins that it reskinning demo could cause along with just them getting to redo the bloated unfocused kit demo has.

As much as I love Demo I'd also love to see demo like redo killer with a heavier focus on a single part of the kit instead of Demo's shotgun approach.

  • I actually really like the hallucinations/skill check altering mechanics and constant chases.

So even if I am just gen jocking against him I still have more gameplay then normal.

Also he's also a killer people can't be immersed against so people do actually stop being immersed when they find out its the doctor. So I get teammates who will actually bloody help instead of crouching in a corner/bush all game.

Ps. If you want people to agree with you on a poll make the options not actively insulting others.

They definitely need to look at window hits, just last night I vaulted shack window and was mid room of the shack and nemesis got the window hit with a m1 punch... I went down basically in front of the locker by the door and it was so bad the killer looked at me and then back at the window a few times and shook their head before picking me up, even the killer didn't think he got me and that's just ridiculous

That's called desync which is a networking flaw instead of part of the game's mechanics.

    @Laurie268 said:

I hope they rework window vaults next so it isn’t killer sided anymore. Getting hit 1 sec after fast vaulting a window because the killers lags is bs.

Windows work as intended but most people don't seem to realize you are still hittable after vaulting a window as your still in melee range.

This means even if you complete the animation you're still not safe until you move away from the window.

it became tunneling the moment you didn't drop her again.

Going back when someone gets unhooked isn't tunneling. Hitting them cause you cannot assess if they're trying to take a bt hit or just got unfortunate with the direction pick isn't tunneling. picking them up for ds isn't tunneling.

But the moment you say 'okay, they didn't have bt, they didn't have ds or missed it, let's hook them again' that is tunneling. maybe swap stbfl for whispers or play more survivors to learn where to hide.

Judging from how the story is told it sounds more like Nea was body blocking with BT and got punished for it by the faster attack speed from STBFL. Which she did twice.

If you body block with BT its not tunneling when you are trying to force the killer to go after you.

You also kinda proved the OP's point where everything is the killer's fault and never the survivors the eyes of survivors.

  • Steve has been MIA for me and a lot of other people for months.

Some regions seem to love him but not all.

  • I feel like part of the reason why they are losing it is the lack of representation given how little the 3 are played.

Steve has never had good perks and they never really tried to buff them enough to get people to want Steve.

Nancy has the best perks of the bunch but is stuck in an overpriced bundle with Steve an Demo.

Demo always was a mediocre killer but that was due to a lack of any cohesion in their abilities and add-ons.

The community complained about all these issues that were causing Stranger Things to be less popular for literal years but the developers refused to listen and now they are sleeping in the bed they made.

  • This post is just another example of the community's lack of self-awareness.

In this case you wronged your teammate by using an exploit to steal their item when they were trying to help you then laughed at them when something bad happened to them thinking its karmic when you were the one in desperate need of the karma for what you did.

Any amount of self-awareness would have let you figure out that they were pissed at you for a good reason.

Sorry if this sounds like a personal attack but its just the perfect example of a massive issue with the community itself.

  • My main concern is that they will force the killer to break them instead of forcing the survivors to activate them.

Why this is an issue is that if the killer is forced to break them just reaching the totem and going back on a large map will most likely lose the killer the game.

The killer has no time to break the totems even if the killer doesn't need to find it by always sees its aura.

Breakable walls no matter what hurt the killer as they are a time sink as even breaking a wall early can cost you generators because you can't both apply pressure by chasing survivors and break the walls early at the same time.

  • Its rather surprising that there aren't any neutral dailies given that it would make the daily distribution more even.

It would also let someone start the daily on one side then finish it on the other.

So for example if you have a killer daily and a neutral scare X crows you can complete the killer daily then finish the rest of the neutral daily as survivor. Or vice versa.

  • I can understand hating the self recover if cursed part on principle alone as its a perk that actively punishes the killer with a powerful effect(Being able to self recover) for running hexes which are already considered far too much of a risk to run anyways outside of ruin.

Aka it punishes you for running perks that are already inherently high risk.

Also anyone who had to face the meme build of survivors endlessly picking each other up that caused the devs to add the cooldown. It wasn't very good build but it looked agonizing to play against.

  • @Superyoshiegg said:

    They did, one time.

They made the hitboxes accurately reflect the hatchet model instead of the spheres they are currently, but it suddenly made it that much harder for Huntress players to hit anything. So incessant complaints ensued (as usual with this community) and the change was reverted.

The issue is that they tried an exact hitbox square...On a spinning projectile...

This meant that the hatchets literally rotated around survivors heads a lot of the time making it miss despite it being a proper shot.

The most accurate hitbox to the hatchets would be a giant coin so the hatchet if aimed correctly the spin wouldn't rob the huntress of legit hits as the spinning animation wouldn't make it miss randomly.

Neither is Stranger Things? It's modern and popular. I'd hardly call the show horror but it still got into dbd anyway. Same with L4d. That game is practically dead, and it isn't in the horror hall of fame either. I can say Fnaf hasn't won any awards but it has been in the world record for the largest number of sequels released in a year. Not to mention the merchandise they sell, the franchise is incredibly successful. Just because it isn't your taste, doesn't mean it wouldn't fit into dbd or shouldn't come in at some point, that just isn't fair if other people got the characters they wanted and telling a majority or in your phrasing, a small minority who want it to sit out in a corner while others have the fun.

If I am remembering correctly Stranger Things got in because they actively wanted in.

Aka instead of the DbD devs going to the License Holders. The License holders they came to the DbD devs.

He's still a very solid and good killer

Lol the fact that you think the collision add on is good goes to show you have never actually played with it.

As it actively REDUCES THE ATTACKING HITBOX OF THE CHAINSAW!

It should be granting BP for how much it gimps your power.

  • Trust me its not much better on PC right now.

Its flat out what the devs have said is why Monstrous Shrine hasn't been buffed as they tested it being better and found out it would break basement builds if it was any better.

  • Self care as it is has the same total time effectiveness as being healed by someone else.

It used to be 80% instead of 50%(Then got nerfed to 50%) and it was overpowered as it makes the survivors too efficent let alone its old medkit self healing efficiency of 100%(now 20%).

Self care should never be buffed as it broke the game in the past and having it being any faster or more medkit efficient would break the game as they had tested with the nerfs.

EGC is only there to stop hatch standoffs and survivors hiding around map indefinitely after opening exit gate - it's why a killer can start it by opening the exit gate. It was never meant to be a tool to secure kills for the killer once the gens are finished and the exit gates still need to be open.

The only change they should make is if a survivor is still in match when EGC runs out the killer does not receive any sacrifice points and survivor receives no escape points. Neither side wins. This way it removes the apparent confusion killers seem to have about the purpose of EGC.

Ah another "Spite the killer" suggestion.

Not to be that guy, but how long would you have to wait at hatch until you realize the other survivors aren't leaving? At that point it's just self-sacrifice.

I have had several times where I was the obsession injured looping shack about 2 tiles away from the opened exit gate with 2 full health teammates in it no noed and the hatch was there at the shack.

My teammates didn't help body block for me nor would they leave so I couldn't get the exit gate or the hatch.

They did that just so they could Tbag the killer after he killed me when he went to the exit gate.

Edit: Aka if they did literally anything but Idle at the exit gate I would have lived by either getting hatch(Or running for the gate with the killer getting hatch) or by them bodyblocking for me.
