Why pennywise wouldn't work in dbd
I know this is an unpopular opinion but i don't think pennywise would work in dbd, at least not lore wise since It is an entity similar to..well The Entity. Both are ancient cosmic beings that feed off a certain human emotion. Pennywise feeds on fear, the entity feeds on hope. So putting one in servitude of the other would be weird and almost impossible to explain

Unless they could make it so that Pennywise doesn't serve the Entity, but he feeds from the fear of his victims. Like stealing from him. I don't know, but I really want them to find a way because a shapeshifting killer could be AMAZING for this game. A killer that could make himself look like a survivor would be creepy af
Why couldn’t one entity overpower another one? At least the movie version of IT doesn’t seem that powerful. I know it’s different in the books somehow. But that doesn’t really matter..
Also maybe they would work in collaboration and Pennywise would get some power that reflects that (kinda like PHs cages)
The only way thematically he's work would be if he was a parasite who broke into the entity's realms.
That being when he "sacrifices" survivors he feeds on all the emotion and leaves nothing left for the entity.
Thus having his own hijacked version of realms but provoking the entity in the process having the entity itself aid the survivors against Pennywise.
Sadly this could never happen given the technically restrictions of the game and the fact that it would require an immense amount of work with upkeep when a new map comes out.
Not necessarily. Pennywise would obviously be a smaller and less grandiose entity by comparison to " The Entity "
I think he'd be drawn to the Entity. Acting like a beacon, attracting these unsavory characters. Their goals would meet perfectly.
They're the same species, if you think about it (I'd argue the mind flayer from Stranger Things is their kin too), so, yeah, the Entity might be protective of its prey...
However, by that angle the entity having bested pennywise as the weaker specimen pennywise might become its servant... or something. however eldritch evil mindspider society works
I had a horrible thought upon this: The entity might be wooing pennywise or vice-versa
The Entity and Pennywise could be besties for all we know
If Pyramid Head works then why not Pennywise?

Pyramid Head is in a similar boat though. He's not a person, he's a manifestation of emotions designed to torment James in SH2. He doesn't serve the entity in DBD, which is why his power can kill without sacrificing on a hook. His relationship with the entity is more like a pact, similar to Myers actually, whose evil can't be entirely tamed by the entity and the entity allows him to kill by his own hand.
Pennywise also has a physical form, which can appear to become weakened, and allow him to be injured. So he's not quite on the same level as the entity, but is close.
On a scale, it would go something like:
Other killers ---- Myers ----- Pyramid Head ---------------- Pennywise ---- The Entity
