I am. I never used ruin and I dont use ds. And I think that people that are blowing up about a single perk having problems or is changed need to reevaluate if they actually enjoy the game.
I never used ruin or ds either but that doesn't mean I ignore why people felt the need to run them. Tunneling and map pressure are huge problems that you can't shrug off with git gud.
-
Spirit takes less skill than Billy. Should've put Billy in title
Basically, I agree with you. Freddy is a lalaland walk in the park when it comes to learning him. Demo takes strategy, Oni takes reflexes and pathing...Freddy is just the same every time. Would be nice to have more skill based killers.

1) doc was always able to shock and prevent vaults, healing, pallets, ECT. That's the entire point of shock therapy
2) the entire point of static blast is to find survivors. Just cause you don't take clues like the really loud charging sounds or the fact that you can get in a locker is not docs fault
3) if you need ds to win a game that's on you. I get that's it's a bug but you are the equivalent of all the killers that quit or changed to survivor because ruin got changed.
People need to stop complaining about everything before anyone has even has a chance to see how everything goes. The changes have been out for 2 days. chill out
Yes if I get tunneled it's my fault...I just need to get good
If ruin was "neccessary" at least treat the survivor perks which are actual bandaids the same way.
-
Squares don't have a radius...
-
I run BT and we'll make it together often so this is another reason I hate solo Q. They often don't even have DS and get hooked again within a minute smh.
-
DS could be tweaked, Adrenaline too maybe...but what does this have to do with map pressure?

Survivors got there way...yet nobody was asking for the Ruin nerf. You got an issue Ruin being nerfed look at BHVR. That was there choice. One that may survivors, myself included disagreed with.
Both sides have gone up in being toxic. Had a Myers game where he refused to hook anyone. Just slugged them till they bleed out.
Haven't played survivor yet...but so far even red rank survivors have been getting out after a simple gg. I guess they respect a killer who can 4k after ruin nerf.

I was initially going to say yes, but maybe removing all of the things that buff repair speed, smaller map sizes (with no god loops), and/or secondary objectives would be good. People are right. Sitting there holding m1 for long periods of time is not fun.
Glad you saw reason 🤗

Yes and yes.

I bought the first one and completed it fully never again it's just way to much filler content
I'm going to do it...I already play the game a ton and it doesn't cost a penny. Not to mention I'm a bit of a collecting freak and would legit die if I missed an exclusive cosmetic.

Bugs.
Trapper, the game mascot, needs a minor buff to his traps. I’d like it if his base carry amount was 3 and that he’d start with carrying 2.
All old maps need to be redone.
The game stagnates due to the fact there is only one mode. We need a new mode to breath life into DbD. Unfortunately, it’ll never happen since it will kill the main modes matchmaking.
I doubt it would kill anything if cross platform were introduced.
-
That's kinda the point of doc...
-
Map sizes as killer
I agree with you as survivor
-
The corridors feel more intuitive to me. The windows are still a bit generous but they are less dense to make room for a pallet or so. Overall not having any problems killer side yet.

Complaining about game balance =/= complaining about someone playing a certain way. I don't complain if people flash/pallet save, don't complain about using DS, don't complain about someone doing gens. I will complain on the forums where devs can see that their game is badly balanced/designed.
I don't see how complaining can be done about game balance...when the devs are balancing the game
-
I think people are allowed to complain about tunneling. Killers complain about gens and hatch frequently.

It's not so much that I'm mad about ruin. Ruin needed a change. There was just so many things that needed to be done before that...but somehow that took priority lol
I see where you're coming from but some things are easier to implement. Think of the ruin nerf as a preview of changes to come. I don't think you're wrong btw, I know the timing of these changes is an opinion thing and there's no right answer for when they should come. Personally I'm glad they didn't wait, it gives the community time to adapt and starts organizing the data early.

It's strange to see since he's an advocate of keeping gen times.

Trapper needs corrupt intervention against good survivors. Without it he has to either lose gens setting up or lose setup to protect gens.
I still don't see how doctor excels on mother's dwelling, especially in the early game now that his static field is gone. You would have to run whispers to be guaranteed a static blast shock without calm add-ons.
Oh you mean basekit, I thought you meant the meta.
-
I've heard ps4 pro has terrible fps overall. Frames are fine on xbox one s so far.
-
Often. MM may be busted but so is pipping for survivors. For me things balance out atm.

The best way to buff weak killers is by balancing maps. Otherwise we'd have to slap mobility on every weak killer to make them good.
There are other ways of being good, other than mobility. Doc and Trapper are great examples of low mobility killers that can excel on any map.

Just like they nerfed DS, oh
Just like they nerfed BT, oh
Just like they nerfed DH, oh
Just like they nerfed Adrenaline, oh
They would nerf them if more than 75% of red rank survivors use them.

@HazeHound said:
@Siren Ruin used to stop bad survivors and carry killers facing them. Killers who cannot stop bad survivors now, without it, derank, crap survivors rank up. They will be facing medium killers who will obliterate them and rank up like crazy. That's why soon red ranks will have much more killers who are simply not that good. Soon after medium survivors will be red ranks because of so many boosted red rank killers. And that's how red rankse will mean nothing. We have seen this couple of times now. Of course this will happen gradually, not over night.
Edit: Oh, and you will see mainly Billies, Spirits, Trappers and Demogorgons. Occasional old nurse mains aswell. Corrupt Intervention every game, of course so it will be nerfed too.
Then im quiting and stick to Warframe
Thanks for the slippery slope

Survivor lobbies aren't longer because of more survivors, and once their lobbies are fixed the challenges will be mostly survivors so that killer queues don't suffer. But the devs could never make a change to benefit killers, could they?

Killers aren't the ones suffering from 15min+ wait times atm. :) So even if a bunch of survivors quit because of camping and tunneling, I bet killer queues would still be instant.
If killers have the same population as survivors, killers have quadruple the queue times as survivors. What's quadruple 15 min?

Agree 1,100%. Killers are told to just shut up and take all the abuse thrown our way and if we speak up about it we're just "bad, u need crutch perk lol" when most survivors use the same half dozen op extra life perks. I saw this meme on reddit and it perfectly describes what's really happening here, and why I've somewhat stopped caring about giving fun and fair matches too
Yes camping and tunneling totally wouldn't make killer queues skyrocket...

Didn’t you generalize too by saying killers should be fine “if they just apply pressure”? Just saying...
Also even the high mobility killers like Billy can’t pressure all survivors at once at least not without slugging.
Pressuring all survivors = winning

At this rate, it will take years for that to happen.

I would agree - that aesthetic wise, The Game needs it the most. That being said, balance-wise, the game is pretty good.
Balance wise the game is terrible. Very small, with repetitive loops and nothing to help survivors when they're gone. I can see frustration for both sides.
-
@Yung_Slug said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1022015#Comment_1022015
Not every killer can apply pressure on every map.
The devs plan on fixing those maps/killers so all we can do now is wait/educate the less informed.
-
Gens could always get done this fast...

With new DS, I get stunned way more often, than before the rework. And even if I don't get stunned, DS is still doing its work by keeping every survivor alive in the match for atleast 2 minutes each. Its basically impossible to snowball with new DS now, even less so when Unbreakable is involved.
You're mad about a guaranteed 8 minute match? Killer logic will forever elude my grasp.

The upstairs area is appalling for survivors. There is absolutely nothing worthwhile using upstairs except perhaps the lockers if you're playing stealthy.
Most of the downstairs is littered with un-safe pallets and poorly placed debris too which makes the entire experience frustrating.
Like I said, upstairs could be better but downstairs is playable even if a bit different.

It has the highest kill rate of all of the maps (around 70% if I remember correctly). I find it to be an incredibly un-fun and frustrating experience as a survivor. It definitely needs some major balance changes IMO.
Having no safety is pretty frustrating, but I think the only change it needs is a safer upstairs.

Ormond is pretty neat to play on both sides.

@ABannedCat said:
Old Decisive Strike was less powerful than the new one.
Non-obsession DS rarely got into play, obsession DS could be dribbled, and its stun was shorter. Plus Enduring reduced it massively.

Only correct answer below...
In this order:
- Haddonfield
- Coldwind (the whole realm)
- Red Forest
- Crotus Penn Asylum (the Chapel map is fine, just the one with the asylum in the middle)
- Ormond
- Autohaven
- Macmillan (not because it's unbalanced, but because it would look sick with a visual overhaul)
The Game, Hawkins, Yamaoka (yes, even this map), Springwood are all fairly balanced for both sides.
Also, #REMOVESWAMP.
True

I disagree and I think most people would as well.
Those perks are S tier in all scenarios.
If the killer doesn't camp/tunnel etc to where those perks never activated then you already won anyway. If you didn't then your team was bad. Playing "fair" against good survivors to where none of those would have activated is how you lose.
Camping and tunneling isn't meta though...could you link a meta killer game so I understand the most efficient strategies? To me the meta is pressure gens and end chases fast.
-
Doing gens together should have some benefit imo.
-
They're fixing it because killers want survivor to require no skill.
-
@BabyBubbaMain said:
No. Maps just have no business being 12,000 Square Meters when 70% of the killer cast moves at 4.6 meters per second with no mobility.
Generator speeds are fine, but toolboxes definitely shouldn’t be a thing, as well as perks like prove thyself.
Survivors should have true secondary objectives as well instead of “lol just do bones” because holding M1 on a generator for 80 seconds is quite frankly, boring.
Prove thyself is fine imo. Saves like 8 seconds per gen to maybe 12 seconds per gen?
