Surprised to see you of all people say this, but I find only truth in your post. Thanks.

because everyone is mad because of ruin change?
Oh makes sense

I don't see how it's making fun of the playerbase.

Bill from Left 4 Dead was added to consoles you need him leveled up to unlock Borrowed Time.
My question, I have a Rank 1 Borrowed Time on a Survivor but they're low leveled, I'm guessing Ranks 2 & 3 would now be locked?
They're locked

Like stated above, most calls for nerfs are just emotional. I have yet to see a logical explanation for reducing Freddy's strength.

NOED doesn't have a beginning game slowdown. NOED is technically an end game perk designed to deter survivors from rushing to the endgame.
Noed slows down the game by 70 seconds, 14 per totem.

@Demogordon_Ramsay said:
I mean, the Perk would be garbage even if it wasn’t a Hex totem unless you’re playing Billy or Oni, so I personally see no reason to use it unless you’re one of those two Killers.
Yes constant awareness of all gens being worked on and constant free regression is garbage.

Looks pretty hard to me 🧐🧐😇

That’s totally your fault, you should know to wear the hospital gown! Michaels sexy legs will stun the survivors every time you vault a window, giving you ample time to reach them!
Seriously though, matchmaking should have been fixed months ago. I have a feeling they can’t because it would make queue times take longer. I hope I’m wrong.
It probably would make matchmaking take longer if it wasn't implemented with a fix to swf matchmaking and the ranking system.

Nurse without add ons? Please... she’s at the bottom even with addons.
This is perkless, not add-onless

Some killers don't need to traverse the map. Trapper and hag, for example, should just set up shop at a 3 gen and stay put for the most part.
People don't believe me when I say trapper is unaffected by map size lol

When i complained about the ruin nerf you said only bad killers use it and get good. Lol
Well I've learned to be more courteous since there are more baby killers here than I expected :)
-
Eww I could never play killer without bbq. Hag and nurse come to mind as good killers perkless.
-
I don't need to. You need only watch a good doc player.

The movements seem sharper, idk how to explain it.
Actually I did notice this on some loops while playing as billy who is more dependent on survivors' movement. I kept missing chainsaws that I otherwise would have been guaranteed because I'm familiar with loops as hillbilly but I missed them by literal pixels. I thought it was because I'm a little rusty but apparently survivor movement is different. I will keep playing and report feedback on what I find.
-
Both really only require you to learn loops. Some killers are easier than survivor, others are much higher depending on the killer's power.

i'm assuming the survivor loses madness tier(s) when they are hooked no?
so in order to trigger this "bug", Doc would have to take the time to shock the survivor multiple times in a chase and still down them
"tunneling"
Yes chasing and downing a survivor off the hook is tunneling.
-
I haven't noticed a movement change yet on xbox but nurse is definitely too annoying to play as now. I think her basekit was too strong, but now it's too stressful to use.

You know the priority is for DS to get fixed.
Or they are working on both equally? Killers getting annoyed by flashlights is just as bad for business as DS not working.

And yet despite all of that, I can still escape 70% of the time as a solo survivor by being out of the exit door in an average time of 6 minutes with very little effort without even running meta perks or any items at all, and I don't even consider myself a good survivor.
The only games I haven't escaped since the Ruin update are when my teammates are even worse than me, such as those lovely Megs who get downed within the first 20 seconds and then DC.
Bad killers =/= unbalanced game

Honestly I always think "yeah, I'm going to get that key guy" but then forget 2 seconds into the match. I think the loading screen takes so long by the time the game starts I'm already daydreaming about something else.
Lmao that's like me forgetting the killer brought a mori because I went off and made some toast.
-
That's what I'm doing. Matching with survivors of my rank is practically a guaranteed 3k.

that seems like it shouldn't be a bug
make madness 3 actually mean something.. as right now it's just a way to get back to madness 1 with no downside
Doc is plenty strong without being the best tunneler in the game.
-
My campfire game is switching to a key last second and seeing how hard the killer tunnels me.

True, but in real life legion would probably grab a glock and shoot all four survivors.
Lmao got me there

Many of the killers could as well
True, but in real life many of the survivors could beat legion, hag, or clown to death.
-
In real life a survivor could just dodge around it.

So ideas:
Ruin: non hex, generator progression is slowed by 10%, 20%, 30% decaying to 0% over the course of 70s, 80s, 90s.
This would be similar in effect to the Plagues slow-down mechanic which limits which gens can be worked at the beginning. But instead it allows the freedom of all gens to be worked. Just at a slower progression until up to 1.5mins has passed.
I just did the math:
At T3: If a survivor spawned on top of a gen (no searching for it) and started repairs on second number 1. At the end of that 90 seconds, the Gen would be at 95%. Now at standard time of 1.25% per second. A player that started repairs at second #1 of the game would have a gen that takes 94 seconds (14 additional seconds).
Keep in mind most people don't spawn ON a gen. So the effect would be less. And it only effects that first 1.5mins. with strength decaying evenly over time.
Just an idea. Whatcha think? I did so much math. Just for you.
So it would have less slowdown than noed?
-
No reason to. I personally respect DS because I know how to utilize slugging for pressure but I will proxy against altruistic survivors.

If a person walked in to a doctor's office and said, "Doc, you have to help me. my legs hurt so bad I can only walk on crutches!" and the Doc solves the problem by removing the crutches, that Doctor is #########. And that's what the devs just did. and now this game is circling the drain. troll online all you want, but it wont make killers come back and fix the resulting problems.
The thing is they can walk without crutches.
-
Weren't you fussing earlier?
-
@T2K said:
Yeah I wonder too. Actually I was suprised the first time I used rancor and couldnt mori after I closed the hatch. Imo if the devs aim for consistency they should make it work or make adrenaline not work with hatch closing.
They just explained why
-
Rancor is really a pointless perk to run for the endgame effect. Noed applies to all survivors.
-
@thesuicidefox said:
The only reason Spirit feels easy is because 95% of survivors go full potato against her. It doesn't matter the rank either. They just make stupid decision after stupid decision. Get someone in that 5% I guarantee you will change your tune. She's not actually as easy as you think. You are getting false positives because majority of survivors don't know what to do against her.
Wear headphones and pay attention. Doesn't get much easier than that.
-
How about don't use rancor?
-
Seems like an exaggeration, but I guess ranking up in dbd has always been unnecessarily frustrating.
-
"I hope it doesn't affect the data"
Childish survivors will dc as long as there is no penalty, not just to doc but to pig and even bubba sometimes.
-
Poor play on survivor part they must mean. Slugging is very easy to counter and Wraith is an m1 killer.
-
@FleshTorpedo said:
It not toxic, it just makes for un-fun gameplay. When you dont have alot of time for chases, you dont have time to look for a hook. Ive been tunneling out people doing this challenge if i spot them.
Tunneling them for wasting their teams's time?
-
@xCarrie said:
If you just got unhooked or there’s no hooks around i’ll generally slug. If there’s hooks around i’ll hook, it’s a win win either way because two are out and one has to save. Yeah i’ll get “filthy slugger” sometimes for it but it doesn’t matter anymore as now I’m camping for just existing
I've never heard survivors complain about slugging and I play slugger billy all the time. Then again hardly anyone bothers to message on xbox.
-
Saboing is nothing to complain about, neither is slugging.
-
I will try to hook the slug nearby so they can lose hook states while I camp. You took the risk, here's your reward.
-
Killer brings a mori, killer: why didn't I pip??

I honestly don't want them to rework problematic maps like Haddonfield or Thompson house because then I will have to deal with loading into them 5x times more often because instead of fixing the problems with the maps, they just make 5 versions of it.
Just like they didn't fix badham?
-
That's what dead hard does. Once they use it it's gone until the chase ends.
-
Yes you are losing because of potato mates. Killers are helpless w/o ruin apparently.

I understand that. My point is if one perk is enough to decide wether or not you enjoy the game then that person probably doesn't really enjoy the game. Not once did I say that using those perks means you need to get good.
Um ok? If the perks fix core issues, they should help me enjoy the game. I personally agree with you but you aren't being very empathetic.

There are catch-up mechanics - you're just socially pressured not to use them.
Ikr they call it toxic and meta...homie, I'm just tryna survive chill dog
