No first box or last box sounds fine to me.

I do not need to consider further. He stated he would ignore others opinions. If he has heard it all before why bother making a thread. Why do you care anyway?
Hmm I'm just speculating. It's fun to do.

Fact: He will ignore all opinions but his own. Satisfied? Lol.
How do you know what he's considering? Maybe he's heard it all before and doesn't need to respond any further.

Nope, false. I get that it’s “more fun” for you because you are a survivor. But if you play killer without ruin, it’s no fun. Gens get done in the first five minutes and unless you are spirit or nurse, you normally don’t win if you are versing even decent survivors. So you have to look at it from both sides and not only survivors.
Ruin was a crutch...it doesn't even work against good survivors.

Why bother to make a forum post if your just going to ignore everyone's opinion? Your pretty much just trolling.
Opinions aren't as important as facts

Match making should consider not just rank but minutes playing the game, if in a swf, etc but due to killers leaving the game or going on strike like I am the match making will never be sorted and more and more players will play the power role of survivor because everyone wants fun
Killers can still get a lot of kills. You just gotta work for it :)

All capital letters doesn't make your statement any stronger.
All capital letters means you should already know this by now.

BT is definitely not the best solo queue perk. Take an exhaustion perk or Adrenaline instead.

It is not, but being new, and being over matched, why bother sending the message in the first place? They can see that they were ranked way higher than than me. Why even send it other than to get a response. I just delete message and move on,
Yep they want a response. Gj bud

This and the MM is a serious problem with this game. It is literally pushing away new players from touching killer. Like you said, if you drive all the killers away how much fun will that be? Thing is most of these sweaty survivors just want to bully a killer even if they don't stand a chance.
HOW COULD THE DEVS STOP PLAYERS FROM BEING TOXIC AND FLAUNTING THEIR WIN? ANSWER: THEY CAN'T. THERE IS EVERYTHING IN PLACE FOR KILLERS NOT TO HAVE TO SEE TOXIC MESSAGES AND/OR REPORT PLAYERS WHO GO TOO FAR.
-
Lol gg isn't that toxic, just send gg and be on your way.

Should I remind everyone a "Second Chance" is giving the player immunity from performing a mistake. Not things that make the game balanced for a side, or gives information needed to perform that role.
Did I estimate how far I had to go for the next loop? Dead Hard.
Did I out position myself after getting unhooked? Decisive Strike.
Did I fail to lose the Killer before the last gen is done? Adrenaline.
Did I fail to loop/lose the Killer before he slugged me? Unbreaking.
Also Perks that literally force you to throw away the main game, just to optimize the EGC isn't a "Second Chance" perk. It's balancing the EGC so the Killer can to complete his objective.
Losing the killer isn't that easy. You're not making a mistake by failing to do it.
-
@NullEXE said:

Survivor wins with no perks, on abusing safe loops alone.
Killer requires perks for information, stability, and control.
When you add perks that grant survivors immunity to the mix, then you make the game unbalanced and stress free for the role that should be scared. It's a horror game, and it's not being treated like one.
That's a map problem
-
PGTW: Failed to keep a gen from being repaired? Here kick it and have a second chance to defend it
Noed, bloodwarden, rancor, remember me: give the killer a second chance even though all gens got popped
Spirit Fury: got stunned by a pallet? Here, a free pallet break
Pwyf: couldn't catch your obsession? Here, have a speed boost
Bbq and chili and Thrilling Tremors: failed to keep track of survivors? Here, find them all for free.
-
@NullEXE said:
Lol NOED, Bloodwarden, Remember Me, Rancor, and all these perks are not "Second Chance Perks" they are "End Game Perks". Perks that make it so that you have barely a chance during EGC.
Killer has some perks that grant immunity but they have ridiculous conditions. Like Spirit Fury - You have to take 3 pallets to the head before you can break 1 pallet. When getting hit by 3 pallets could cost you 2-3 generators.
Other than that Killer has nothing but Perks they use to balance the game.
How do survivor perks not balance the game?

I even stated "second chance perks"
Idk what you mean...exhaustion perks, ds, adrenaline?

and yet red rank survivors are full of second chance perks stacked on top of eachother... when do those training wheels get adressed?
(I do agree though that the Ruin rework was needed)
What survivor perks turn the game on easy mode with no effort required?

It’s fine. I actually listed Nancy for Quentin because they both have the need to search for the truth and Quentin acts a lot like Nancy’s boyfriend.
Ah yes she is attracted to druggies

Not within 2 seconds. Also getting into lockers is not possible within 2 seconds unless you stay always within 2 seconds range of a locker once you are in TR. And what I say is, that old Doc was easier to counter and less frustrating, so the rework argument doesn't count regarding the rework. In what way is the new doc better than old regarding Static Blast / field?
You know approximately when he will blast you, and your madness is more under your control.

Not a main, straight 50/50.
I dont think the game is in a bad state, actually it was never more ballanced as it is now, and i have faith, the devs will improve it even further. Still, there are a few things that i would change.
Killer nerf: Red mori. Most overpowered thing in DbD. How is instaheal gone and this nonsense is still in the game?
Survivor nerf: If anything, then it should be the key.
Killer buff: remove some godwindows (Ironwork, Haddonfield for example)
Survivor buff: Help solo players with a mini kindred (see auras for 5 seconds or so)
Smh such bias /s
These are some good suggestions.

So what about the second part I said?
Hopping in lockers isn't the only way to avoid the blast, you can also try getting out of Doc's TR.

Most people do not like solo que cause the game got to easy as survivor and they get teamed with idiots who do not belong there. Number one reason why people die, dumb teammates. But yes make it so to even dumber people can be in red ranks.
Furthermore the game gets dull and boring without any challenge for survivor which they will realize when it is too late.
If they keep dying how is the game not challenging? Keep from contradicting yourself next time.

I paid attention the whole game after I noticed it on the first trap. The flickering is gone. And to the doctor: unlike Plague or Oni you have no idea when the cooldown is ready (unless you use your DS hourglasses...). And if the blast is ready? So you run Premonition to jump to the next locker to make sure you can hop in the second you hear the charging? And you just stay inside a locker the whole time until you hear the charge going off? That's what I mean, it was way easier before to counter it, it became worse with the change. You can do it, but you throw the game or just have minor chances to be actually able to counter it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1058462#Comment_1058462
Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with the doctor, I'm fine with the hag. I just totally dislike the way BHVR argues their changes with counterplay and frustration and then deliver this. Like they have no idea what they are doing. I love the feedback they give and the activity in forums, and the dev streams and all of that. But the result is somehow questionable and therefore lowers the value of all the feedback
Yes survivors and killers should have equal responsibility for keeping a 60 second timer in their heads, Myers already has a 60 second timer for tier 3, did you never learn to time that?
-
Console needs something like legacy
-
BHVR just doesn't want survivors overperforming.
-
Hmm...we'll see
It can't get much worse than rank right now.
-
The glove looks pretty nice for tracking
The crest could use a longer range though
Overall probably the worst ultra rares in the game, but ultra rares aren't supposed to be powerful, they're supposed to be unique! Iridescent queen, tombstone, hag etc.
-
Doc counterplay is: keep in mind 60 sec cooldown. When cooldown wears off escape the TR or get into a locker.
Maybe the hag thing is a bug or you just weren't paying attention.

I’m not sure about the last part you said, but I’m thankful opened minded to the truth of how things are^
Do you think the last things I mentioned don't affect queue times? If survivors are all bunched up at red/purple ranks then queues will suffer unless killers are also bunched up at red/purple ranks. Killer queue time being fast is probably due to the killers' ranks being misidentified as corresponding to the ranks where survivors are all bunched up. My point is that yes there is a lack of killers contributing to queue times but no there is no lack of killers overall. There are just too many survivors at the same rank while killers are relatively evenly spread out.
-
Hmm yes matchmaking is ruining the game...where have I heard that before?
Good luck to you both.

I wonder if you'll ever add a meaningful OBJECTIVE comment to the discussion instead of just playing your victim role (amazingly btw) of "survivor life is so hard."
OP's idea is bad and people are calling him out for it, that's the end of it. When survivors have so many tools to counter killer strategies you can't keep punishing killers for doing the bare minimum to make the game enjoyable/stand a chance. Bad unhooks should be punished, and you can't force a killer to chase the strongest surv when there's a better option to gain the upper hand.
I know op's particular suggestion was a bit lackluster but I saw its potential and created something constructive from it :)
In my suggestion, the killer isn't punished for tunneling one time in a row, and they are rewarded for tunneling if they wait a certain amount of time. Cheers 🤗

I just wish Freddy took some skill. He's pretty balanced power wise.

Smurfing already exists as stated above, but I agree I would like to know why it's hidden.
-
@Carpemortum said:
Yes there needs to be more survivor than killer.
The ratio should be 4:1.
But how things are now, its more like 15:1.
Which is why killers find games instantly and survivors have to wait.
Smh I can't believe people actually believe this. Read my comment above. I think the current ratio is maybe slightly worse than usual, 5:2 at its worst points.
-
I totally agree with this logic. This means the devs are killer biased because instead of focusing on survivors 80% it's closer to 50/50. People also forget that it's almost impossible to have a shortage of killers due there needing to be less than 20% of the playerbase playing killer. There's no way less than 20% of players are playing killer, queue times are caused by swf matchmaking, survivors' easy emblems/pips, and miscellaneous matchmaking errors(misidentified ranks could be a factor?)

I don't get it.
Moris can typically guarantee at least 3 kills with a decent player.
Keys can guarantee at least 1 escape, with 2 or three additional escapes unless the survivors are complete potato's and complete no gens. Or if they get seen by the killer endgame.
Not to mention, you can just equip plunderers and gain an extremely high chance of finding a key in just a basic chest. As I previously mentioned, I've gotten 2 or even 3 keys using that perk in several games.
How are keys not the equivalent of moris. One mostly guarantees escapes, the other mostly guarantees kills.
Keys don't guarantee escapes imo.

A lot of my console buddies are afraid of cross platform because of the advantage m/k has.

Have you played against potatoes?
