Thanks for the responses, submitted the tickets for the two players along with links to the recorded evidence, hopefully its successful.
-
Will I recieve an email response on whether the report was successful on banning the players or not once I submit the ticket?

@lagosta said:
You can do it by using the report tool in the post-match screen or click the Support in the menu to our right, scroll down and click "Submit a Request" button. Make sure to upload all of the visual evidence you gathered and/or attach links to those. Best of luck
Ah, never noticed that. Thank you!

You’re not alone in this. Tru3 keeps saying it as well.
Good news is it happened to McLean on stream and he says he will improve it when he’s back from vacation whenever that is. So they are aware that there are improvements to be made.
That's good at least, phew

Reconsidering this myself, and looking at everyone else's comments, it's pretty clear that this idea would be too strong.
Thanks for commenting!

Not particularly helpful, and I already know from other posts not to take you seriously, but I get what you're trying to say.

Are you on controller or mouse and keyboard? I know what you're saying It just takes some getting used to. I play M+KB and it's fairly easy to slam and swing with a mouse i don't know how hard it would be on controller. It does take some getting used to try to slam a bit away from them and remember that you don't have to immediately dash again and you can properly aim and let go from the wall then swing.
I've been on mouse. I've started to get a lot better at him so honestly just disregard his post. My opinion on this guy has changed quite a bit now, used to be pretty low and now I really love playing him.

It would be too strong. Because then the Blight will just Rush into a pallet or window survivor currently running to and insta hit. Without planning or bouncing off walls. You just follow them and hit using 1 charge.
I mean on hits following the first rush. If it available on the first rush you're right, that would be way too strong.

Been away for a while but after reading this all I got was, 1: Just don’t get hooked (nice one), 2: Take it like a man (killer bias and the only thing to do really), or 3: Just play killer (yes, let’s just convert everybody towards killer and have them do the same lol).
Yes, I understand their is a punishment for facecamping as a killer and that’s not pipping up or gaining bloodpoints... but I’m pretty sure a killer doesn’t care about none of that if they are face camping! Most facecamping killers I see are in red ranks and sometimes purple. I’m okay with a killer proximity camping or staying kinda close, but facecamping on the first hook of the game and being a billy just isn’t really right nor entertaining. Also, survivors get punished for being facecamped aswell. Most of the time they gain hardly any bloodpoints and they don’t pip up either.
The only solution to get them off the hook is you almost have to be in a swf and have the right perks and tools. So, the killer can sit and do nothing while the survivors regress or take more time, and if they attempt to help their progress gets more slower and challenging... all while the killer doesn’t really have to do anything. Seems balanced and reasonable (it is DBD though so those two things are a myth in the game). So, to help them from getting unhooked isn’t even worth it really. The survivor gets punished and the killer gets “punished”, but they don’t really care about the consequences.
So, facecamping is a scummy thing to do, and hopefully it can be tweaked or be removed as a “strategy” somehow. I know it’ll never go away cause their are to many Toxic killers who think they are proving a point (yes, their are also toxic survivors too killer mains, calm down). The gameplay can’t be very fun for both killer or survivor when it happens, but maybe killers will stop using it as a “strategy” or facecamping can be tweaked to make it less powerful or require a more serious punishment.
Honestly, most of this I can agree with.
Points you made.
- Don't get hooked. Not realistic, at all, but I think the point is that if you're stealthy you likely won't be the one getting facecamped.
- Deal with it. As you said the only thing to do really. It is NOT killer bias, just the truth. People can discourage facecamping all they want but at the end of the day people are still going to do it because they can. In those scenarios dealing with it is pretty much all you can do.
- Sarcasm, not even going to discuss it.
As you said, the punishment of less points means jack #########, nobody cares about points. There needs to be a different penalty.
"The only solution to get them off the hook is you almost have to be in a swf and have the right perks and tools. So, the killer can sit and do nothing while the survivors regress or take more time, and if they attempt to help their progress gets more slower and challenging..." This right here. Trying to save a facecamped survivor with solos is pretty much suicide.
Facecamping is scummy, and its not going away because of toxic "players", not killers. Players who want to be toxic could hop on survivor trying to bully the killer, and those same people might just hop on killer and facecamp for no reason. There needs to be a bigger penalty for it, but its impossible to remove.
Some reasonable discussion, highly appreciated.

As a killer main who doesn't camp, I'm having trouble seeing the issue with it. If one survivor is being camped why doesn't everyone else just do gens and leave? I played survivor for a while and only saw one facecamp and we just left. The killer didn't get many points and that was that.
What's preventing the team from just doing gens and leaving? It sucks that there's a guaranteed death but that's how it goes.
Yeah. People's complaints mostly boil down to. "Its not fun for the person on the hook." Even if the rest escape. I completely understand that, but I fail to see a solution to that issue.

Look I think everyone can agree that getting facecamped sucks. The thing is this is a multiplayer game. Where you play with multiple people. And people in general are jerks. Especially if they're anonymous
Every multiplayer game has their scummy tacktics. You can either learn to deal with this or go play single player games. And I don't mean this in a patronising way. I myself often take breaks from multiplayer games to play singleplayer which are often more relaxing.
Hear hear. Facecamping sucks, but moaning about it isn't going to do anything. Neither will insulting people or generally trying to be a nuisance like some people are doing.
All we can do is suggest changes for the devs and hope that they implement something. In the meantime be sensible and stop feeding the killer when you know they're facecamping.

It's still the progression system of the game. Merciless and Ruthless means you won and brutal means it was a tie.
I mean, technically, yeah. But thats not always the case.
Like, if you get all four kills really quickly and get entity displeased, I don't really think that can be considered a loss for the killer.

Yeah it's just a big quality of life issue for the person being face camped. Often times it's frustrating and unfun for that person. I think the issue is that it should always be an option but the price isn't quite there. It's behavior that truly should be discouraged and very punishing and the existing experience isn't punishing enough. And just to clarify, punishment doesn't mean ban or suspended. I just think that the in-game experience makes it rewarding in many cases.
Gotta agree. Facecamping is trashy and unfun, but since its not going away punishment for it should definitely be reinforced.

I think you misunderstand the situation. You're the one being accused of having nothing constructive to say. All you've done is spew out ranting and insults to anyone who disagrees. You're the one who has said nothing to disprove that.
The only thing that anyone is accused me of is your potential alt account, who accused me of being a facecamper. I said that clearly wasn't the case as I have a significant degree of experience on both sides.
If you apparently want ME to defend myself, I'm happy to link my profile where you can see my hours/achievments.

So that was sarcasm (you probably couldn’t tell cause that paragraph was also full of stupidity, so you probably can’t tell the difference when something horrible is suggested vs something actually good).
He said "Survivors", not "survivor". This is a team based game you know.
He's referring to survivors actually playing smart (shock horror) and doing gens instead of just running at the killer who's facecamping and wasting time.
As he said, getting facecamped sucks, but if survivors did gens 100% instead of rushing at the killer like their heads have fallen off, FaceCamping wouldn't be an issue.
Because every rank 20 killer who does it would just realise its a horrid strategy and give up. They don't think that because survivors still feed them kills when they do it.

My point still stands though, if you call someone "scum of the earth" after they kill you in a video game. God there's something wrong with you.

I'm finding it difficult to take you seriously.
First of all, you said MoM being nerfed to 3 safe unhooks was fine. So literally all four survivors could potentially get an extra health state by just unhooking... Way too strong lol. Imagine if killers were given a perk that allowed them to instantly down a survivor after 3 downs in a match (which was repeatedly usable)
As for circling perks, you're trying a bit too hard to get your opinion across.
Perks such as lithe and headon are still great perks if used well. Even plunderers and wglf have their uses.
As for killer, I seriously question you putting perks like bloodwarden, overcharge, knockout, iron grasp and gearhead on the list. They really don't have any great use. (apart from bloodwarden in meme builds I guess)
"for survivors you dont have the choice if you wanna win. means no meme builds. with the +50survivor perks you can maybe do 3-4 synergized perk builds what will help you to win."
Survivors get really strong with perks, don't get me wrong, but you can still win reliably without them. Plenty of people (including myself) do it. Same goes for killer (although its a tad more necessary for them). For survivor you got 3 other players with full perk loadouts backing you up.
I don't care about bias. Make all perks actually good and usable. This chapter most of the killer perks seem trash, but you aren't really mentioning them. Make both the survivor and killer perks good, and usable in the meta, and I'll be happy.
Same goes for all perks.

There are more videos on tru3s channel of him 3K/4King by about 20x than there are of "gen rushing".
Initial generators don't matter, I really don't see how killers don't see this, you can 4K with 2 gens done, you can 4K with 3 gens done, you can 4K with 4 gens done, and those gens done don't matter because the game wasn't over until you killed everyone.
Doesn't tru3 only upload videos of him winning to youtube?

Don't have the skill to outplay something? I can loop killers easily and get away just as easy. I'm saying they can get a hit that is definitely not deserved because of the long lunge. Not saying I'm going down because of it, just saying they are getting hits that they really should not have gotten.
A hit they don't deserve? If you're talking about dedicated server hits I 100% agree with you. But otherwise, being able to lunge through an undropped pallet and hit a survivor isn't "undeserved" or hitting a survivor midvault.
-
@luka2211 said:
You could say it from both sides. Alot of hits killers should get don't happen in certain situations just cause of autoaim or other reasons(not just hits but bs pallet stuns/really late head ons/etc that worked cause of the dedi servers). Like @LordGlint taught me alot of arguments have a two way street. Edit: I know head ons don't have to do with that, but i said it regardless,i hate when i already start the grab animation and someone head ons me. I just said it cause it's connected to the servers which is the reason lunges might feel weird. I also forgot to add, sometimes you try to dodge a pallet stun, and are really far away and it still stuns you cause of the servers. Same with pallet saves, they can happen when a survivor is really far from under a pallet.
Exactly. Its less of a problem with the killers lunge but with dedicated servers. These have helped the game in areas, but have also caused gameplay issues for both sides.
-
@deollie said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1077038#Comment_1077038
Sadly, I already know when I'm gonna get hit when I shouldn't which still convinces me that lunge is too large. I'm just glad loops are in the survivors favor because killers have a big advantage already with their perks. Not complaining about killers.. Just saying their perks help them out a ton.
Literally anyone can do that though. Its not even about the lunge, its about gageing the killers speed and the distance before he can hit you. The exact same thing would happen if you shortened the killers lunge. There would still be times where you knew you'd get hit or not reach a safe loop in time.
-
@deollie said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1076980#Comment_1076980
Distance. That's the key word here. There should be no distance from a killer to a survivor when they are going for a hit. Looping will stay the same. I just want things to be more realistic.
So now this isn't even about shortening the lunge, this is about removing it completely. And no, looping wouldn't stay the same. The lunge is realistic in the first place. Putting on a burst of speed to reach something happens in real life too you know.
-
@deollie said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1076923#Comment_1076923
We're not talking about changing the game or even getting rid of the lunge. Shortening it will not make loops extremely safe, it will just make killers have to put a little more effort in their chase.
As I already said. Shortening it WILL make loops extremely safe. Test it for yourself if you don't believe me. Effort isn't going to make up for the shortened lunge either lmao
-
@deollie said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1076899#Comment_1076899
There is a thing called perks that killers can use. If that isn't enough to get some kills by actual skill, then Id say.. Go ahead and keep your huge lunge. But, it's annoying to get downed by a killer that may not be as good as others because of that lunge. Making it shorter will not ruin killer, it will just require more concentration. Which I feel should be required to get some kills.
Well, thats a pretty random and off topic comment. Perks do nothing in loops majority of the time, excluding spirit fury. The rest (bamboozle, enduring etc) do almost nothing during loops. People beat loops through actual skill or use of their killer power, typically through mindgames, prediction, tricking their opponent etc. What you're complaining about is killers using their skill and their abilities to beat you in the first place. The lunge being on of them. I still don't understand your logic "its annoyed to get down by someone not as good as you", so is your logic that you should never get downed if you are better than the person you're versing? Because that is extremely flawed if so.
The lunge is only 0.3 seconds long anyway, making it any shorter is going to significantly nerf their ability during loops. Anyone who has played and significant amount of killer would know this.
As for the whole "nerfing a killers lunge won't ruin killer" thing. It certainly would. If you don't believe me, go into a red rank game and try playing without ever using your full lunge. Cancel it halfway or don't use it at all. Do that, and tell me how well you do after a few games.
-
@deollie said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1076878#Comment_1076878
The lunge reach goes too far. I'm asking to make it shorter.
But why.
Making it shorter isn't going to fix the hits you're talking about, in fact its not going to fix any issues you've described of hits seeming unfair. Killers will still be able to hit you through pallets and windows. They'll also still be able to stop you reaching some windows and pallets (albeit with much more difficulty)
All its going to do is nerf the killer in an extremely unnecessary fashion. Killers will be way weaker as a result, looping will be far easier and survivors will get downed a lot less often.
It won't fix any of your issues, so if what you really want is to make the lunge shorter, you aren't asking for a solution to getting hit through pallets or windows. All you're saying is "I get downed too often" and are asking for a major killer nerf to compensate.
-
So... You just want to remove a killers lunge? What you're describing sounds pretty normal, and while I know some hits look BS and look like they shouldn't hit. Being able to hit through a pallet or window is completely normal and "knocking me down before I reach a window" is literally just the lunge doing what its intended to do.
Not really sure what you're asking for.
-
DS is balanced btw

Keys don't guarantee escapes imo.
They really do. If the last survivor just hides, they have several minutes to find the hatch. 3 or so minutes to go around the map and find the hatch isn't unreasonable at all. As I already said, its at least a single guaranteed escape unless you're a potato.

The sad thing is keys aren't even close to moris in terms of power. It could even be said that bringing in a toolbox is stronger than bringing in a key.
I don't get it.
Moris can typically guarantee at least 3 kills with a decent player.
Keys can guarantee at least 1 escape, with 2 or three additional escapes unless the survivors are complete potato's and complete no gens. Or if they get seen by the killer endgame.
Not to mention, you can just equip plunderers and gain an extremely high chance of finding a key in just a basic chest. As I previously mentioned, I've gotten 2 or even 3 keys using that perk in several games.
How are keys not the equivalent of moris. One mostly guarantees escapes, the other mostly guarantees kills.

Imagine nerfing chests
I mean, I've found 3 hatch keys using plunders, in one game. Plunderers makes them super common.
-
I play 50/50 killer and survivor, and there's obviously lots of unbalanced things in both rolls.
First off, all of these ideas are my opinion. I'm sure plenty will disagree, and I'm by no means a dev, so take these as you wish.
To start with, its pretty clear maps are in issue. They should be balanced for both sides equally with some of the more unfair god loops removed.
Next, keys and moris need to be really toned down. Make it so keys can only be found "rarely" with plunderers, and never any other times in chests. I'd also suggest making ebonies like an ivory, they can kill one survivor on their second hook and the rest on their death hooks.
Toolboxes need a big slowdown after the ruin nerf too.
As for respective killers.
Trapper: Make him either spawn with all traps or have base room to carry more. An option to quickly reset your traps instead of having to manually replace them would also be great.
Nurse: Do something to make her actually fun to play, everyone seems to avoid playing her now.
Hag: Make it so she can't place traps right underneath hooks. This makes her more focused on trapping loops and paths than on camping. She'd still be strong with the basement as a result anyway.
Huntress: as there doesn't seem to be any chance her hitboxes will be fixed, just make her iridescent head addons unusable with extra hatchet addons.
Leatherface: Rework him to be actually unique and fun.
Freddy: I don't know how I'd adjust him, but both forever freddy and spamming snares seem to be an issue.
Pig: Buff her RBTs and ambush.
Clown: Give the poor sod a rework already.
Spirit: Survivors without iron will should still have a chance against her. I have no idea how I'd change her honestly, but plenty of people have had suggestions.
Legion: Rework him to be actually unique and fun.
Plague: Buff her deviousness point gain.
Ghostface: Make snapping him out of stealth less buggy. There are times when survivors can snap him out when they shouldn't, and times when they can't snap him out despite staring right at him.
Oni: Great killer, though I'd suggest lowering the frequency of blood orbs when an injured survivor is crouching or walking.
Perks: A bunch of killer perks need reworks to become good, same with survivor ones.
DS: Adjust its activation conditions.
WGLF: Needs a buff to be more usable like BBQ.

Thanks, the only comment I disagree with is buckle up because its situational, u cant Always pick someone from off the ground and some killers dont slug. That's the benefits are so good because it wont always happen every game.
Slugging is a very frequent thing in high rank games. The potential of infinite unbreakables is extremely powerful, especially considering how good unbreakable is by itself as a base perk. It should only have one use imo. Your suggestion already has other uses alongside giving unbreakable, such as the speed boost.

It's not consistent and survivors aren't invincible. You can hit them if you bait them to turn to the wrong side.
But its really easy for them to avoid it, and if you screw up even once, its a free unhook.

I'd just target the unhooker. Even if you get one kill from that game, it's worth it. If not, hopefully the next game will be better.
Thats my issue. I always do that but its now so buggy that physically hitting an unhooker can somehow phase through them and hit the unhooked person. Causing no damage to either one.
