Sorry that that they changed one of the most broken things in the game and now you can't mori off of first hook. Also if you payed any attention you would know that keys are getting nerfed as well. Also, I love when people say this game is survivor sided when the kill rate is 89% meaning only 11% of survivor escape. That's 1 survivor escaping in every 2/3 matches btw.

Thats not a real statistic. If it is, then it needs to point out the percentage of dc's, hook suicides, and players that just throw the game in general. Btw, I could see this statistic at rank 20 but not rank 1.

Agreed nothing worse than loading into a match, knowing killer had a mori, and that you're more than likely to be tunneled off first hooked and killed, ruins the game. Especially when in an swf, then you have to sit there and wait for your friends, to either win the match, or inevitably meet the same end as you, I love the nerf, like seriously now the match can be properly played, and if you're someone whining about this, then you're part of that toxic issue that brought on the change, and now you can't win matches in just 10 to 15 minutes, now you actually have to play a proper game, so go watch orzdarva and learn how to play properly or watch dowsey.

What ranks are you playing against for 10 to 15 minute matches? Rank 15-20s? What a joke. High lvl play matches can end in 4-5 mins. Which is dumb, because now the gap for viable to nonviable killers has widened further. Sometimes if you just wanted to have fun with a less viable killer with a fun build you had to remove a survivor from the game early. Does it suck for the person that died? Obviously... But the point remains that the reason for the early mori remains unaddressed by the development team, which is why most of the killer community is very upset. Thats because it was in some instances, literally the only thing you could do at high lvl play to narrow the gap in viability. That they didn't address keys at the same time as the mori change was just the icing on an already rotten cake. Oh, and Otz is not the be all or end all for DBD. Let people have their own opinions, and discover things for themselves. And remember, killers have just as much right to have fun as survivors. If killers aren't having fun this game will eventually die. I don't care how many releases they have or what skins they put out. The most recent patch has been arguable the worst since 2016. And the lack of polish is really starting to drive people off.

  • Or you could just use soulguard with unbreakable... I mean, survivors really don't need another crutch perk, but there you go. Run that and the killer can't slug everyone with noed provided more than 2 people are alive and their decent at looping.

  • Im at 48, I think. I took about a week break from DBD though. Played Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War to 100% on PS4. Wrapping up my 100% for Death Stranding now. Considering what to play next.

  • I'm the opposite, 4 medkits and no flashlights.

  • I still get about 20k each game. I haven't noticed much difference in my games, but that might change.

Devotees amulet and worship tablet. I'm not 100% sure how it started. But it was either when I was stunned with a pallet while holding corrupt or after I went to another fountain to get more corrupt while I still had it. Screen got stuttery and I thought I was lagging. Then I realized I had crossed the map with a survivor on my shoulder in about 10 seconds...

I'm guessing it was a stun and the game must have registered me as permanently holding corrupt even if I no longer had it. No idea how I had the much extra speed though. I'll let the devs sort it out.

See this is the stuff that irks me about killer mains. You get damn near a perfect score. Out score the entire team and yet complain that you didn't get a kill against a good team.

FFS, take the good game, move on and stop whining. Take solace in the fact that you played well and everyone had a good game. I'm sure you 4k'd a group after that (or before) that you could get you frustrations out on.

Every match is not designed to be winnable and be grateful you didn't get ######### on.

Some people don't care about points. And prefer the number of kills as the metric for how well they did in a match.

you’re gonna tell me a survivor really needs to sit there for an hour to Sabo when it Just comes right back? I can tell you without communication and teamwork this game is almost unplayable from a survivor standpoint. My team goes down and hooked instantly after giving no time to do gens. I think they just need to reduce the amount of hooks on the map or spread them out. It’s not fun for survs man. This game is bs killer hungry pansys that cry if they can’t get their 4Ks

I never mentioned 4k for killer in this thread. In addition, the survivors are currently the power role. Not the killers.

  • @BulletsNonstop said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/134456/balance-solution-for-swf

Sabotage should be quicker than it is in my opinion. I mean, Why is it fair that there are there a million hooks on the map? Why is it fair that you’re allowed one hit knock downs and melee lunges that are insanely lengthy or the fact that killers have either speed that’s equals or is faster than survivors? How is any of that fair? Killers will inevitably more often than not find someone and I don’t think the chases are fair either so... you’re really getting mad because people are working together and communicating LIKE THEY SHOULD BE? Isn’t that the point of the team of 4 that CANT fight back and hardly have a chance of really outrunning the killer once inevitably found anyways. Dead hard is nice and these Other chase related survivor perks are decent but not going to keep you on the run for long. The hook comes back so fast its almost useful to Sabo it just for points

I'm not mad. Lol. I was simply offering a solution to a long standing issue. I mean they are called "killers" for a reason. They are supposed to try and kill you. Why are you mad is the better question?

No, I'm one of the types of people who read the post, and saw the way you made snyde remarks about it as if it was a ######### thing to do or they were so bad they had to.

"have to resort to slugging to get kills"

As if they cant get kills normally, and have to resort to this.

Instead of the fact that they played what was dealt at the moment. It's like saying "survivors cant loop and have to resort to healing each other".

The words themselves arent the issue, the context and implication is.

I'm sorry if what I says offends you, maybe you shouldnt let things bother you so much? Or not take it so personally?

I bet you're the kind of person who has to make a witty last remark and try to get someone to agree with you to feel like you're right, right?

I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but didn't you just do that with your closing statement? I mean, your last remark was witty in and of itself and asking for someone to agree with you. Right?

  • I got a 2k on a corn map with spirit and one player was so salty that she raged about how she wanted to find me in rl and kill me. Over a game... People need to chill. Gotta admit though, its really made me not want to play killer (Obviously, a death threat didn't help). It's already bad enough with the recent changes. I'm just tired of entitled survivors thinking they deserve to escape each match now. A mentality that is only going to get worse with how quickly matches are going.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/126800/ruin-rework-was-brilliant

I do not think so. The Ruin change needed to happen, but it happened at a very bad time. Games go exceptionally fast at the moment and most Killer's are not having fun. Additionally, it essentially killed the perk. The effect is not strong enough to be a Hex, but too strong to be a regular perk, which is why I like my suggestion the most, I made a discussion about it.

Anyway, I've not had a problem staying in Red Ranks, but my games have been pretty unfun.

    Agreed

  • Fact: He will ignore all opinions but his own. Satisfied? Lol.

Spoiler Alert: if you depending on Ruin to get you that far and you refuse to adjust, you probably aren't half as good as you're convinced you are.

The re-work was brilliant for the rest of us. The re-work has created an entire new meta and opened up a wide array of combos that make the game more challenging and exciting for both survivors and killers.

There's nothing that will change my mind, so arguing with me is pointless.

Why bother to make a forum post if your just going to ignore everyone's opinion? Your pretty much just trolling.

You mean trying hard to stay in the top ranks is now a "thing"?

When I was Grandmaster ranked in Starcraft, there was never a "casual stroll with my training wheels on" like the players in this game seem to think they're entitled to.

You want that red rank? Sweat for it.

Haha. Sure buddy if it was fair for both killer and survivor absolutely. Guess what, its not. Survivors have almost no downside. Even if they chill and just escape they still safety pip. They die safet pip. Unless they die in the first minute. You really think we care about rank? When it's this broken? And why would i care about your rank in a game ive never even played? Your comment is laughable.

  • @gantes said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1060704#Comment_1060704

This is a point I find interesting. Shouldn't you have to try hard to win?

I'm not going into the merit of whether survivors have to try or not. If the answer is no, that should be changed too. But in most games I've played people don't have a problem with having to tryhard to win.

Sure, you can try hard to win. But every match? Some of us just want to chill. And it's not really fair when survivors get to chill and/or get carried through every match.

  • The ruin change was done too early. In addition, it was handled and addressed poorly by the devs. While it may seem like you are seeing more exceptional killers, the facts are that they are most likely sweating to death to try and win.

Killers do not want that kind of match every match every time they play.

  • Spirit with mother-daughter ring and father's glasses for add-ons. Bbq, nurses, sloppy, and stridor for perks. U could trade nurses for make your choice if you wanted to be really mean.

That's a vague promise with no real effect. Those map changes could be countless months away and even when they do finally get around to it there's also the high likelyhood that the changes are minor at best and don't end up making it better for killer. If anything the idea of making maps smaller sounds like it'd be better for survivors because that'd also mean a high chance of multiple strong loops and safe pallets all in close proximity to each other.

However everything else they said was one sidedly geared towards improving the game for survivors with no care or thought of how killers suffer as a result. That is extremely ######### biased.

Yeah, I agree. The map reworks could take months if not years. I do not see them doing more than 2-3 a year at best. Which really makes me wonder how they plan to incorporate the new killer since I'm pretty sure the smash locations are still only on the new map. Unless they do a touch up to them all really fast before actually reworking them maybe. Who knows.

I guarantee you there would be a huge uproar if they got survivors doing totems because then killer mains would lose their NOED. They’ll complain its worthless and needs a buff.

They don’t want survivors doing totems. They want their free kill perk.

Don't need a perk when I can just mori you, lol.

Theres a thread in here about the insidious and face camping Bubba alliance. Those survivors probably were in their "tender care" at some point or just figured you were a member.

  • @Deadeye said:

Nurse and spirit didn't have the highest killrate. Freddy had. Redrank nurses only were even higher. Nurses addons did nothing to that. There were OP addons, but most red rank nurses claim to play addonless and perkless. At least addonless, because they mostly just shake up muscle memory.

About the pick rate of Ruin and DS: there is no stats about DS usage, so just your assumption. From my side, you see more likely 3 of 4 survivors running DS than no one. Can barely remember games without an obsession to be honest, that is maybe 1 in 15 games. Also, when there are other changes to come regarding gen times and whatever: they should come in the same patch. Are we supposed to play these 5 minute games until the next chapter? I'd rather stop playing for 3 months then.

Agree on the point that many react quite respectless on many things the devs and mods respond here in the forum. Regardless of that, the cause of this anger has a reason, like adressing survivor frustration in the latest patch but not killer frustration in any way.

And totally agree on the last three short paragraphs. The oreo one as well, but I like them in my McDonalds icecream most.

Correct, Freddy had the highest kill rate of over 70% I believe.

Not everyone wants or has the opportunity to do that "ASAP". And I was not whining, i was expressing dissatisfaction with the current state of things. Because it forces me to alter my playstyle. 1) You sound like you watch a lot of GamingwithJayTV and 2) I have no empathy for you when it's a personal choice to leave your messages on.

You're the killer. It's your game. You make the calls. It's not a bannable offense ot camp/tunnel. It's frowned upon because there's not a ton of counterplay to this if you want to be altruistic. If you choose to tunnel one survivor and/or face camp and only end up with 1k or a depip then that's totally up to you. If in the process you get a 4k due to overly altruistic survivors then that's on the survivors. But again, you're the killer. It's your call.

Never mentioned tunneling or camping. Amusing people call it that when it's potentially defined entirely differerently by someone else. You call going after the injured recently unhooked survivor tunneling. I call it common sense unless the unhooker was also injured. Then I've no issue going for them instead. Then again taking someone out of the game early is beginning to look more attractive the more i play so we will see. And no, I've no idea who that streamer is. As for end game messages, I don't care anymore. I play how I like to play.

  • @Orionbash said:

What survivor rules? Lol. You're the killer! You're the one in control. But you can't just swing blindly either and hope for a 4k. You know the survivor threats and have to adapt.

Survivors seem to think killers should abide by a "killer should make the game fun and not boring for survivors code/ruleset". Can't tell you how many messages I've gotten like that in addition to being called sweaty. I prefer playing competitively to have fun. Don't like it, not my problem. I'm here to kill survivors.

All 4 survivors down 2 mins into the match, not my problem. I don't care if you waited 40 mins in the lobby. Your all getting hooked and I'm moving onto the next match. I get gen rushed in 4 mins by SWF with no downs or hooks, I reserve the right to stop playing and/or end the match. Think it biased, unfair, being a sore loser? I don't care. I'm not here for survivors entertainment. I'll just move on to the next match until it's no longer fun for me.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1019561#Comment_1019561

If they have BT it's not an unsafe hook. The fact you look at it this way is why you lose as killer.

Go for the guy that made the save. If you hit them before they finish the save then you down them and take their hook. If you got for the guy that got saved and they end up having BT, then you just took the bait and failed to capitalize on the rescue.

That's why I just wait for the grab now. I'm not playing by "survivor rules".

  • @Orionbash said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1019540#Comment_1019540

I use Sprint Burst/Inner Strength/Iron Will/Spine Chill. The only time I'll ever use any of the other perks you've listed is when I noticed I'm getting tunneled a lot in a day and I'll throw on DS. I mean there's very little that can be done if a killer decides to tunnel you so its kinda like insurance.

Whenever I see obsession I just slug. End of story. Not going to bother with DS otherwise. I just hate how cocky survivors get when they have the those perks equipped. It gives them immunity to the killer for a time and they knowingly abuse it. That's why when they hook bomb I don't hit them anymore. I just sit and wait for them to try and unhook. Either I get the grab or their friend dies on hook. Simple and brutally efficient.

  • @deadbyhitbox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1019540#Comment_1019540

I don't see why BT is an issue. Unless you tunnel, you'll hardly ever deal with it.

If a survivor hook bombs right in front of me why should the injured survivor be allowed to get away safely? If they did an unsafe unhook in front of me you better believe I'm downing the injured survivor. That's just common sense. It's not tunneling if the other survivors can't be bothered to come up with a better tactic then unhooking in front of the killer. Don't want them tunneled? Don't stay at the hook, especially when I know your there.

  • @Orionbash said:

Before you come down on me for the title, hear me out.

The issue with you not winning isn't ruin or gen speed. It never was. It's you. You've just become so accustomed to the failure of survivors (As in you'd get matches where ruin was clutch only because survivors never learned to adapt to ruin) that you've yet to adapt to anything else and try any other strategies. So many killers have complained that ruin was always gone within the first 30 seconds of the match anyway. Killers have also complained that strong, highly co-ordinated SWF could power through ruin so it didn't even matter. So what difference does it make now that it doesn't exist in the same way?

As a survivor main I saw a lot of different killers today. There were killers that seriously struggled and some killers that kicked ass. The killers that struggled are those that got way too involved in the "MUH RUIN!!!!" hysteria that they honestly played the game like they had no chance. Today marks the first day I was facecamped by a Billy that got flustered when two gens popped at the same time and I could honestly not believe it. It was hilarious. But its all in their head. The killers that kicked ass ditched ruin early and started to adapt to new play styles. I had killers like Trapper/Hag set up a 3 gen scenario while getting a few downs in the process. I had a Legion that decided once he was down 3 gens to start slugging to pull all survivors off of gens to buy himself some time. I also had a Tru3Ta1ent wraith that refused to commit and just kept beating on us to keep us off of gens and focus on stabilizing rather than objectives. Among other things. It was those killers that won.

You can complain all you want about your clutch being taken away. But as of right now the robotic motions of patrol gens, find survivor, down survivor, hook survivor, use BBQ to locate next survivor, wash/rinse/repeat, are over. You need to get creative or you'll lose. Period.

Ok survivor main, here's the deal. Remove your infinity gauntlet more commonly known as borrowed time. Ridiculous that it has infinite uses btw. Make DS deactivate after another survivor has been hooked. Make adrenaline actually follow the rules of exhaustion perks... Finally, reduce map size to make unviable killers viable. Then we can talk, until then save it for when the game is actually fairly balanced.
