The devs have said the last survivor should always have a chance.
But that chance is always going to be lopsided to favour the Killer. And that's how it should always be.
As a team you already failed to do generators or keep the Killer busy, so why should the alternative escape be even easier to use?
But then what's the point of the hatch? To stroll a failed match for survivors??
-
Bruh, just let 2 remaining survivors fix 3 gens if you have 5, down one, look for the hatch, hook someone after finding a hatch, close the hatch.
-
Try blaming yourself and your teammates for loosing. It helps.

They are going to address it with a new mmr system, I completely agree though that it's a mess right now, yesterday I was in a survivor team with ranks 2,9,12 and 20 (can't remember killer rank but I do have a screenshot saved because it was so ridiculous)
A lot of people argue that rank means nothing in terms of skill level but there is a very very big difference between a rank 20 vs 12 vs 2.
Rank 20 killer with 1 perk on level 1 and no add-ons got 2 kills on a screen, survivor ranks were much higher. Ranks differ killer, not survivors.

Gunslinger is also about gambling.
I mean, quickshooting is a little bit different here. It surely takes predicting skill to avoid or land a shot. But as the Deathslinger/the Huntress you only ask yourself when and where a survivor will turn, that's it, the rest you can see with your eye. As the Spirit you get more questions because you're blind for the most part.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
You know that it's bad survivors who bring bad killers up in ranks, right? If you get 1 kill by the end of a match with NOED, you get only a black pip.
-
I play both sides and if when everything is alright I fairly enjoy playing as a killer and as a survivor. BUT. The survivor matchmaking just makes me sick, I quickly get tired of my teammates.
-
I've heard that the devs avoid adding killers like that because of the religion and stuff.
-

The devs have stated that it's solely for gameplay purposes. Canonically, there is only one Claudette, only one Ash, only one Dwight, only one Adam, etc.
It's just done so anyone can play anyone they want and not be locked out because someone else picked that same Survivor.
Oh wow, they've said that different versions of survivors come from different realms. Parallel universes and stuff. Do they really change lore this fast? Even when it's not about cash (looking at you, Demogorgon)?
-
It's not, take We'll Make it or Borrowed Time and move on.
Healing up with it happens once in a blue moon. Unfortunately, even if you focus on healing with it, most people run self-care, so by the time you usually get to an injured survivor, they've already wasted much time healing and you're left with nothing but a pitiful chunk of healing.
Even if you combine it with other perks, it's still too situational. And building a whole build around a green perk, are you for real???
-
Oh my god, can I just make a pun?
-
1) Daily rewards should be better. More bloodpoints. Or add something else for them, like add-ons and offerings giveaways. I have characters that are maxed out in all sorts of ways and I don't wanna waste bloodpoints on their burn-outs. I have so many more characters to level up!
2) WGLF and BBQ&Chili BP bonus should be a base. Have you seen calculations on how much time you waste on prestiging a character and getting all perks on them? Yikes.
3) Devs should do something about weak perks. It should be their priority because the gameplay goes blank with the same perks. As a survivor or a killer when I take weak perks I don't feel a difference, like, I could be perkless at this point and feel the same.
4) Killers should see when they play against SWF. It would solve a problem in some way because killers would most likely bring strong stuff against people with comms and leave weak stuff for solo players. And, of course, bloodpoints for playing against SWF teams would be great.
5) Killers should get some kind of special award for sparing a survivor. Maybe an offering or an add-on, I don't know. If we talk about lore, the Entity feeds on hope and sparing a desperate survivor would bring so much emotions that it should award a killer for their great job. C'mon.
6) Survivors should be getting extra bloodpoints for playing as different characters in a team. You make it much easier for a killer to distinguish each team member, so where are the reward for that? We all could be running same looking Blendettes!
7) Free space in the Rift on the free side should contain Cells as well so people could get licenced characters and some cosmetics and the Rift pass. There are too many stuff you can pay for and it's not good.
8) Survivors should be able to carry out more than one items, again, I would rather try to get items and add-ons within a match than paying for them with bloodpoint.
9) It would be nice to add a method of gathering offerings during a match for survivors. Like some kinds of flower beds with different types of flowers, where survivors would be able to pick up flowers for bloodpoint bonus. In the beginning the flowers in piles are fresh and green, by the end of a match they dried out and cheap. You can carry them out or burn them in barrows so you instantly get BP bonus.
10) Lore should be more consistent. You can't just come here and say "these are different words that the Entity got here!!". Cosmetics tell us one piece of lore, general information tells us the other, and the freaking Archives tell a whole different story!

That advantage will never go away, no matter how much the devs nerf SWF.
What needs to happen is that the devs need to give some basic communication tools for Survivors. Something that'll pop up above their health status below to inform the team without being an intrusive mess or giving way too much information away on the map. Simple phrases, like "I'm doing a gen," or "I found a hex totem!" or "Killer near me." And then allow for muting individuals or the entire system entirely if it gets abused by too many people.
At that point the devs can balance survivors based on the assumption that they use the basic comm tools given.
But if you're smart, you'll notice that you can already tell when the killer has found a survivor, their status icon will turn from gray to white. So in a sense you've still got a lot of information without any need to communicate a single thing. The game already does a lot for you, it's up to you to use that information and pay attention.
WAIT WHAT. I thought it only worked on a obsession?!

In same scenarios SWF provides huge advantage. Do I need to write down a whole list? Like, I can make a whole thread about advantages SWF teams have.

There's a difference between thick and solid. Solid may be looking flat but it's definitely a good pile of muscles which is, you know, good. Thick is more about fat tissue stored in your rear, maybe mixed with muscles, but still it's more about fat. It's not bad, it's just different.

Survivors = Democrats, who will ######### at each other, instead of focussing on the other side?
Damn.
I mean, do you know how entitled survivors act nowadays?? They don't think killers are people and humiliate these "snowflakes". "Bo-hoo, got triggered because I pressed the crouch button a few times, thicken up." They think it was better with back when there were the crazy amount of pallets and god-like items and add-ons. C'mon, they know pretty well that SWF is unhealthy but "it's their right to keep the option because they have friends".

I have people who try to heal me after I use For the People, like, for real. They refuse to fix a gen and stand there teabbaging because healing>repairing I guess.

@illusion said:
Because nobody likes other people telling them how they should play. Just because you think that a person should be dedicated to finding totems, doesn't mean others agree, I certainly don't. Do them as you come across them. It silly to have one person running around trying to do them all.
And nobody wants other people telling them what perks they should be running. Showing perks to the team will just lead to people criticizing and berating players who aren't running the perks that they think that person should be running. It would just lead to more toxicity.
If you see totem, cool, do bones. But there are totems that are well hidden and the person with the perk/map may help with cleansing it to avoid NOED.
If you don't like someone's perks just leave a lobby and find another one where people run decent perks. Simple.

I mean....it's a theory? I could sit here and pick this apart and it can also be argued very competently as you just demonstrated. However i feel bad about hijacking a thread when what i really should say. If anyone with half a brain can understand the mental effect the mere subject matter might affect a survivor of the real thing.....why on earth would anyone bring it up to use in an argument in a video game.
I don't have trouble with the theory itself even if I don't agree, I just kinda find it icky that people are using such a subject to win at 'opinions' in a forum about a video game, and all because someone bounced up and down at you. Pretty disrespectful.
I mean, I wasn't the first one here who brought up this icky topic. The person who did it got flawed with negative feedback but I decided to give their reasoning a little bit room in my head and it got to this??? Sorry???

I read your post, and after I got over the fact that you actually brought up sexual assault into a conversation about a few pixels bouncing up and down, I had a think.
Here's the problem with your theory (as I see it, I dont speak for anyone else). Ok so if you look at it from what i think you are trying to say, stuff that happens in game can have a direct mental effect because of the physical implications of that action in real life. So why aren't the forums full of PTSD suffering survivors who just can't hack it because they get killed over and over again?
Ok that was a silly comparison but i could word it better and make it sound genuine even though most of us know its not true. You can theorise as you will but the fact is, it just ain't true unless we have some reaaaaaaal delicate flowers playing killer.
I've been gaming since before Teabagging is a thing. over 20 years. I've been T-bagged in every game you could possibly be teabagged in and not one single time have I thought "Oh no, I feel violated"
Also for your comparison to work, they would actually have to be teabagging the killer....with your theory in place, survivors are actually assaulting the ground....
Okay, I just tried to avoid speaking directly about it. Warning, it has nothing to do with the post itself, just some thoughts about teabagging in general.
We all get used to some things but you can't say for sure that nobody gets upset after being teabagged. It got me thinking, why the hell do people get upset after being teabagged? I'm not talking about DBD when survivor dropped a pallet on a killer and started buttdancing, that's another story. I talk about situations when your character is on the ground, no matter what game it is, and your opponent just sits on your characters helpless body. Again, it's a theory and I may be going insane here, but it's a way of showing dominance by imitating some intimate stuff. STOP, WAIT, DON'T THROW WORDS AT ME, I'LL EXPLAIN. You see, we are animals, yeah, so we have traits that we carry from our wild ancestors. And dominance was one of the things people needed to show back in time. There's a theory going on that overall forced sexual experience, aka "r*pe", may have been a way of sustaining the leadership over other members. I hope you feel that if one person deegly-doogeloos another person it kinda radiates top energy and makes you look more powerful in the eyes of your animal "tribe" because you overpowered other members. (Stuff like that still happens! When a "strong" straight man all of a sudden r*pes his "mere" male victim for no obvious reason. And considering that I've said the reason becomes more clear.)
But people evolve and build a society and the society changes us so much faster than the evolution does. We've learned that r*pe brings up a lot of issues within a victim, we learned that leadership is not about physical strength, which was important in the wildlife but not in our modern community, and we overall started treating each other the way we do now. We feel obligated to control ourselves in real life and don't do stuff that our animal part would demand. But, BAM, videogames, a place where you can be free (not really)! And here our subconscious ancestor crawls without being spotted. Online gaming, you kinda compare you "strength" within a group of people, your "tribe" rivals. You smack your opponent and, OMG, you teabag over their downed body. You don't feel like spinning, aiming, or any other things, you want to go UP and DOWN over his pixel butt cheeks. If you look at it from another perspective, you imitate some really nasty actions without realizing it.
I mean, it's just a theory, I'm not talking about all game experiences, there are plenty of examples when teabagging is okay. But I hope you got that I was talking about this specific type of teabagging. DBD doesn't really has one... Or maybe does but in very limited occasions.
You're allowed to slap me through my screen if you think that it's all a bunch of BS.

Okay,
1) You need to not get so worked up. Typing letter by letter in caps isn't necessary. I'm not blind and I'm not remedial, thank you.
2) I know how MY brain works, not how everyone elses does, I'm not psychologist. Which is why I recommended seeking help because I can't seem to understand why anyone would get this worked up to the point of comparing someone being assaulted in REAL LIFE to viewing a fictional character on a video game repeatedly tapping L1 to crouch.
I don't know why would anyone think of that too but apparently it makes sense.
I asked you questions and you don't answer them. The dialog can't be productive if you're gonna ignore the major part of my messages. But I guess you're not into psychology so okay whatever???
People can't read anyways so they'll just jump in here and scream "this person thinks that r*pe and teabagging are the same, asylum, NOW".

That was a very difficult synopsis to wrap my head around, maybe because you jumped around too much and didn't really address what I was talking about. Either way, this a video game, if you have issues differentiating between the two I would recommend seeking help (not saying this in an offensive or a sarcastic way.)
It shouldn't get to you that bad.
It's S.U.B.C.O.N.S.C.I.O.U.S. I have no issues with differentiating videogames and real life ffs . But why else would teabagging be causing this much reaction? Name me a situation where, idk, jumping on the same spot would be worldwide considered offensive, or repeatedly aiming with a gun. Like, in shooter games people may teabag over your dead body. So why would it cause us to think "oof, it's inappropriate". I repeat, it happens S.U.B.C.O.N.S.C.I.O.U.S.L.Y. You hear me? It's not the same as "VIDEOGAMES AND REAL LIFE ARE THE SAMEEE HOW DARE YOU I CALL THE POLICE!!" You understand? You know how our brain works, right?
-
@Unicorn said:
Did this really turn into a physical/sexual assault comparison? You guys do know this is a video game right?
I was really "uuuhh???..." at first but then I was like "oh, I can see it but most people don't realize it, they just wanna be rude in some way, so whatever". But, like, if you think why it feels unpleasant to see your character being teabagged by another player... I mean, REALLY think.... The answer comes naturally if you go beyond "it's a videogame" wall. I know comparing life with videogame isn't a good idea but we talk about psychology here in some way. And in videogames you kinda connect with your character, mentally character = you, so when "you" come to this position your brain just goes "bruh" because it subconsciously compares stuff with real life and now your mood is worse for some reason. Again, you don't think about it, it goes deeper in your brain.
Idk I might be going crazy with this forum.

to you, ok. people may have different sensibilities and maturity, but it has nothing to do with game balance or unfairness. that was the point, you feel mad about teabag, fine, but don't say that it's unfair, it just doesn't make sense.
Gosh, teabagging during the match has nothing to do with unfairness but it may be unfair if I see average solo survivors and decide to bring up a pink mori after being stomped and teabagged. If I were calm, I wouldn't do that. Does it make sense now? I was writing it in my post but someone failed to read.
