Meh, no mercy from me, I guess. I honestly don't really think survivors deserve it because, you know, this community has a condition called "I know you hooked me twice, I know you downed me in 10 seconds each time but I still escape thanks to my teammates who fix gens, so gg ez, get those teabags at the exit gates, loser!" If your team sucks, can't help, I'm not missing my chance cuz missing it would be a mistake. And we all know how harshly mistakes turn out for killers, right? As a survivor I get your frustration, rank resets let bad survivors stay at red ranks so now we all enjoy being farmed but the only solution at the moment is waiting for the new matchmaking system.

Playing "fair" is the least optional thing for a killer to do. You may not believe it but going for survivors 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4 is the WORST possible way a killer can play because you give so much time for survivors.

That's why you need to skip some tiles to avoid creating deadzones. If your team starts gens without wasting time, you'll be loaded with pallets by the end.

It used to be. Looping a killer is more effective in so many ways. Yeah, sometimes you need to remember that "oh no, I won't make it just by running against that Spirit!" but most of the times you can clearly juke around a map and hope your teammates won't waste time by, khem-khem, self-caring and stealthing around without any reasons.

It can reveal exactly which aura perk a killer is running, and can give you immunity to detection. How is that not good?
Only downside is the number of uses which can burn up quickly if the killer has an aura add-on. But by then you should already know their loadout.
"Oh no, a killer can see me! What should I do??? Uh-huh, I can't allow that, not like I can loop them or anything, stealth is the only true way of winning!"

Sole Survivor is perfectly fine! I run it because there is I.SAK streamer who I like and who runs it as well, you should watch him. This perk is godtier actually, it helps a lot when there are no teammates left, it counters BBQ so well by the end, I don't even need to go into a locker. When I self-care and one teammate is dying by that time and then they finally die, I can continue healing up with Nurse's Calling being out of the way. Heck, even Bitter Murmur is no longer a threat, I can no longer afraid that two of my teammates will pop a gen near me and a killer will see me when I'm crouching nearby.
Sole Survovr + Self-Care + Urban Evasion + Premonition. Try it out!

They don't always work
The point is, they work MUCH more often than the perks you try to protect. And when they work, they actually can be game changing. You can deadhard into that loop and and another circul of hell for a killer begins, you can get up and escape/heal up your downed team, you can 90% escape after being unhooked during an endgame because balance or live on instead of being smacked right to the second or the third phase on hook, you can save someone without any penality and ensuring that they'll live on (and, honey, if they have DS, it'll be extra).
Solidarity... Heals you up a bit?... By the time you reach your teammate, heal them up and get your precious bonus, you'll get as much progress as if you just let your nearby teammate heal you. Or, you know, bring a medkit. One of 50+ brown medkits you store in your inventory for some reason.

I have DS to not die on the first hook. Its just boring to hang there, if nobody has BT.
I have BT for those who dont have DS. Its a perk for team, it help to extend my own game, if survivors dont rush unhooks.
I have WGLF, because the grind is infinite. Thank you, devs, for ensuring that I never unlock perks for all characters and never bother to buy cosmetics for all characters. Good for me in some way.
And something to actually play with or for survival- DH / Unbreakable / Pharmacy / SC / a key + Left Behind.
Ok, IW is not bad, but you leave blood and indoor maps can easily ruin your amazing play. I dont trust IW alone.
Not self-care, please. Anything but self-care. It's only good when:
a) You try to survive and get the hatch when there are only 2 survivors left and you're injured.
b) Someone left you alone nearly healed and a killer went for them.
c) This is an endgame and everything is fine, everyone is alive, you don't need to rush to the exit gates, you can just chill and waste your time because it doesn't matter.
And these are not the scenarios you see often. Otherwise, you hurt your team very much.

That tells you where they ARE.
It cannot tell you what perks or add ons the killer is running that reveals any survivor auras.
Do I need to know when my aura is revealed when I do that all the time? Not to mention, BBQ will just WHIPE all of you tokens. Plus, your teammates may be doing gens as well and, maybe, their gen is nearly finished. But, uh-oh, the killer goes to them instead of you with your 10% fixed gen. Going into a locker to save tokens takes kinda a lot of time, especially when there are no lockers nearby. Chances the perk is going to do miracles is so low that I'd honestly bring self-care instead.
Stop being scared by the idea of a killer being able to see you, if you don't get outpositioned, there is nothing to be afraid of. And to never get outpositioned, you need to watch your surrounding.

Distortion can help to genrush, but I agree.
To be honest, to genrush you just need good teammates. No perk will help you to quickly fix gens if your team decides to heal up with self-care.

The Spirit. Not because she's strong (but it's probably a reason why my nerve cells are still alive) but because I like her design overall. Plus, her gameplay is just interesting, I like playing both as and against Rin.

All of a sudden you her something behind your back. You turn around and see a tall man's figure, you can't really see a thing because it's too dark. You start walking faster but you can her a man coming in your direction. You start nearly running, the man eerily laughs at you attemts to go away. By the time you reach a light spot out of the corner of the eye you see him, all dirty, ugly, unshaved but strong enough to get you on the ground. You try to make distance but you feel a calloused hand grabbing your arm and pulling into darkness with brutal force. You scream as loud as you can, but he covers you mouth and silently laughs again as you both go away. You struggle but it doesn't help, you desparetly start crying but you can only thing his grip becoming stronger because of it. You're helpless, noone will help you.
(Freaking 2 AM in my country, damn it.)

The correct way to use oblivious is to break chase and then try to cut them off. It's really hard to do, but it can work.
Let me just come to that safe window/pallet and look around for a sec if a killer is still chasing me.

The best thing people will tell you here is that you're making too much of a deal and probably suck. The only thing I can recommend you is getting thicker skinned because you will go through a lot of tough stuff in this game. This community isn't great overall.

Sorry, English isn't my mother tongue. I didn't mean to say that infinites are still in the game. They used to be present in the past and despite that there were a lot of survivors who didn't know how to run them though it was really easy. And I'm not playing victim, I just don't agree with couple of things you say and I try to give the reasons why I don't agree.
(In all my honesty, I look through a lot of threads here and 80% of the time you take survivor side instead of being in the middle ground. Maybe I got your last sentence wrong but are you sure you decimate both sides?)

3 years ago many-many-many survivors didn't know about infinites, couldn't loop and just dropped pallets on their way. Previously survivors didn't pay that much attention to gens but know they went: "K, since Ruin is gone I think I can sit here and do it peacefully... Wow, it's so good, other guys fix gens as well, we leave that Plague no time to do anything, that's effective! How didn't we thought of that before??"

No I'm saying I've never struggled as a killer without ruin, and apparently the only killer on this forum capable of ranking up without ruin, I know rank 1 doesn't correlate to skil, but you still have to do well to rank up, so if you're all still ranking up... you must be doing something without ruin, no?
Kinda but you forgot about broken matchmaking after the Ruin nerf which can give you 2 red ranks, 1 green rank and 1 yellow rank. That's totally a win for a good killer because, let's be honest, as a survivor reaching red ranks doesn't mean skill but staying at low ranks certainly does mean the lack of it. And that was happening for so long that NOT to rank up as a decent killer who plays often seems impossible.

The point is you can still play optimally enough to safe pip against strong parties and pip on not-so-good survivors if you're playing as an M1 killer. So I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, rank means skill? Even Peanuts stated that it's more about time you spent during a season. I've been reaching both survivor and killer red ranks for those 3 years as well and, as for survivors, my teammates just start those gens non-stop (if matchmaking decides to toss some rank 1-2 survivors) and I've never seen this happening THAT often. So you either keep a blind eye on the issue or... I don't know...

Oof, you're such a survivor main. Of course, Ruin wasn't needed for the whole match, but it was needed to gain an early game, which is vital for a lot of killers. Now after the Ruin nerf survivors learned that sticking to gens leads to a good outcome, so on big maps and medium ones with M1 killers gens pop insanely fast, you may literally loose 3 gens if you just become unlucky and survivors decide to split up. Usually you just loose 2 at the beginning but still. Putting pressure isn't a thing here when survivors do not afraid of a killer and immediately go back to a gen.
(The problem, like, existed in the game for a long time but before the Ruin nerf most survivors were stupid enough to waste a lot of time on useless activities instead of fixing gens.)

You can say what type of player a survivor is just by looking at their Claudette or Dwight skin. The style pattern in the outfit.
