I've seen this happen a lot when I play Doctor. Four enter, but only three make it in. On one occasion, only two actually went in.
It might not just be offerings or Mori's. When the game tells you who you're up against in the loading screen (not 100% of the time, but it still happens), some people might quit because of that.

1 good reason? Here is a few.Cosmetics.
Testing perks before you make them teachable.
The fact that the instant that survivors have any real inherent bonuses some jackass will message you and demand you switch characters to fit their meta, and that garbage can [BAD WORD] outtahere.
That last one right there. If, for example, Jake worked on generators faster than the others (just an example), or Claudette could heal faster, why wouldn't you choose them for someone like Dwight, who can enter lockers completely silently even when running into them, or Min, who is a giant neon sign saying HERE I AM and having one more escape attempt on a hook without a perk (these are just examples, I'm bad at thinking of how to make them unique.)
If everyone was different, the game would be even MORE toxic than it currently is. If you want to play a specific Survivor because you like how they look, say Adam or Kate, but their ability is nowhere near as good as anyone else, you WILL be told to switch, you WILL be hunted by your "friends", and they WILL NOT help you. Do you know why? Because you didn't want to play the Survivor they told you to play because they are "better"!
I have no problem playing who I WANT to play because they look cool. Besides, you can just run different perk set ups on each Survivor, and voila! You have a unique character.

DC's absolutely count. If I recall correctly, that's how I got Adept Doctor, everyone I downed just DC'd.
Not as fun, but it still should work. -
I've never understood why people say Freddy is the weakest. I 4k with him roughly 75% of the time, although that might be from my experience from getting his daily every other day.
Great, no. Boring, yes. Weak, not if you play him right.
Now Leatherface... HE needs help (yes, I realize my hypocrisy here).
-
They have stated that the next killer will be the oldest chronologically, and I believe they are taking a break from licensed killers for a while. So no Jeepers Creeper for now.
-
I mean, I usually play Feng Min because I connect to her as a gamer more than I do with any of the others, but the completionist in me is causing me to get all the others to level 10 right now so I can adept them.
Otherwise though, I play them because of dailies.
-
Rattman, thanks for this. Will update.
-
Jake is asian (likely Korean) american, so he could be mixed.
-
My personal opinion, they're weakness is over exaggerated, and I have fun playing them, but I would still wait for a few buffs that are desperately needed. An ambush killer should not have a Terror Radius a mile long (although that terror radius is terrifying, although it might just be that way on PTB, haven't run into them much normally).
They are getting buffed next patch, and it will help, I'm just not sure how much since I have only played Survivor on PTB this time around. And the Legion I ran against there was new to them, so... -
If you mean they die fast, putting that they are streaming (even if they aren't) in their name kind of makes them a target. If you mean bad at gens, well, I have no excuses/explanations for that.
-
Finally figured out a better place for the Spirit in the timeline. Of course, it was the one thing I didn't look at the first few times through.
-
Just going to throw this out there, I almost never have a problem finding Claudette. For some reason, I run into a lot of them wearing her green lab vest, but even when they aren't, If they make even a slight bit of movement, I'll likely spot them. Our eyes are naturally tuned to spot movement.
Yes, she's great for stealth, but it only takes one slip up for all of that to go away. My problem with her is how often she is seen as the symbol of toxicity. Those people don't even use her P3 to really hide, just to be annoying. When I see a P3 Claudette, it's not how hard she will be to find that I worry about. It's how painful the game will actually be.

Why not consider Joey's outfit cannon
@VolantConch1719 I did some looking, Joey's outfit is actually his canon look. If you look at the teaser poster (the first[?] picture of Legion) you can see Joey very faintly with the clothed mask that he wears in his outfit in the store. So his outfit is canon, unfortunately.
@Aari_Piggy66 It shouldn't be canon. But I understand why OP does not consider the skin canon.
I see now. Very faint, but existent in the Legion selection and teaser picture pictures. Okay then.
So it is canon. Looks like I have a slight bit of editing to do.

I see a P3 Claudette, it's generally a pretty good assumption that they have DS/Urban Evasion/Adrenaline/Self Care/Any other toxic perks I missed. I HATE those people, but I love it when I finally get them and they miss that DS.
NO ONE else gives me as much trouble as Claudette, although Nea would probably come in second.
-
As cool as it sounds, I think a Plague Doctor would be too easily confused with Herman and probably just be a skin for him.
Like how a Santa killer is unlikely due to Kenneth's santa skin.I like the pirate idea though. Makes more sense to me than a rogue knight (which is saying something since I can see that too).
-
Actually, victorian era is close to Anna. So that wouldn't work.

Uhhhh... You do realise that the Japanese army used bicycles to travel around when invading China in the 30s... Right? And I'd say the spirit is a bit older since Japanese people are less about honour nowadays. And the legion could be very modern. The clown really does throw a spanner in the work but I think you've done a good job placing him. A lot of killers stories are ambiguous about time other than a select few. So the next killer is the furthest back in time by a long shot apparently... Either it's a medieval knight gone mad or it could be a cowboy or a pirate. Thoughts?I did not know that about the Japanese army. That really messes up where Rin is. Probably modern yes, but that's all.
As I said with Legion, I normally don't consider skins canon, but I got that year from Susie. Don't know how long she had it though.
As for the next killer, I'm hoping for some type of Victorian era killer. A pirate would be cool though.
-
I'm unlucky, but not that unlucky. Except for Anna. If I get a corn map ONE MORE TIME WITH HER... I'm sorry, where was I?
Also, for the longest time, Hillbilly and Haddonfield were hand in hand. It was one of the reasons why I hated playing him. But that recently stopped, and Hillbilly is one of my better Killers.

Just want to throw this in: Max Jr. is Billy's official name, not just "what the Wiki came up with". It was revealed in the Artbook, which the Trivia section clearly states.Yeah, I worded that terribly. I just find it odd that an official book gives him a name, but the lore doesn't. I usually do refer to him as Max, but this was based on lore, not many outside sources. I'll fix it though

Depends on which Killer. The Farms are to Huntress and Michael as Building maps are to Hillbilly and Leatherface (at least in my experience.) But other Killers, such as Amanda, are pretty decent on that map.billy and leather probably wouldnt do to well on coldwind either and huntress probably wouldnt do to well in buildings. i would hate lerys as much as coldwind if it was as common.
billy does fine on the farm because most of it is still a wide open space. Leatherface is just bad in general, but the farm is probably one of the better maps for him.
Huntress and buildings are a bad combination though. At least she can see where she is aiming, even if she can't hit much. It's one of the few things that bring her down for me.
-

-
Also, you seem to have left Laurie and Michael off the list. Lisa's backstory is fine, but they seriously need help. And don't give me the whole "they are licensed" argument for them. Leatherface, Quentin, Freddy, Tapp and Amanda all have really good backstories and they are licensed.
-
If you use Wayback Machine and go to the DBD Gamepedia, Evan (Trapper) and Philip (Wraith) have seriously different backstories. Sally's (Nurse) is also slightly different I believe, but I prefer her current one.
The core of Evan's is roughly the same, except that he personally fired or "made disappear" those that were caring for his father, Archie. Archie started mentally failing, but he didn't look like he was eating anything and wouldn't talk to anyone but Evan. Eventually, he just disappeared. Evan wasn't his enforcer in the explosion. He did it on his own. And he went and killed several neighbors. The rest is the same.
Same goes for Philip. The differences being we learn his boss's name (Azarov, hence his weapon being Azarov's Skull) who didn't slash the kid's throat, instead resorting to choking him to death, and Philip wasn't directly told by Azarov what he was doing. Then he took a crowbar and bashed Azarov's skull in until it is nothing more than a wet mass of red flesh (which doesn't exactly work with his weapon)
Sally's is mostly the same, except it doesn't mention the ambulance at the end and it has a few minor changes.
To be honest, they might not be official, but they were on there until Kenneth (Clown) came out, so... I'll consider them the official lore until proven wrong.
-
I've usually seen it used to say "HE'S CAMPING" but (less frequently) I have seen it say "Coast is clear".

If I’m remembering right, the wraith was tortured pretty severely.
Psychologically, maybe, since he was unknowingly executing people, but I wouldn't call that torture on him.
-
Personal opinion, his gameplay is just straight up boring. Yes, he is amazing at chases and he can shut down pallets extremely well (done it myself), but for me, there's just not enough in his ability to be entertaining.
-
Since Leatherface is licensed, I believe you have to use real money on him.
As much a I don't like him, Clown is far superior to Legion in their current state.
Honestly, all the others I believe are licensed, so you can't get them with shards or cells (I'm pretty sure, though to be fully honest, I had the expansions for them all before the store existed, so...) -
I'm just going to give my slice of this pie (that made no sense, but whatever).
I like the idea behind Legion. A group of friends that became a Killer together. It opens up the door for so many other new Killers.
I like how their ability is supposed to discourage tunneling by making you go after someone else.
I absolutely LOVE vaulting over pallets as a Killer. There is just something so satisfying about that. With all of that said though, the execution was atrocious. Rather than get FOUR friends, we got TWO, while the other two were locked cosmetics (that look cool, and I've said before how I can understand it, but SERIOUSLY, they weren't able to fully live up to what Legion is). In addition, I've seen more people complain about Legion tunneling than I think I have ANY OTHER KILLER. So obviously, they failed at that. And (even though I can't really vouch for this, since I haven't played Survivor recently) they seem more annoying to go against and waste way too much time (from playing them, I don't think they waste ENOUGH time, but that's just me). I had pretty high hopes for these guys, but they fail at what they're trying to do.
At least we can still vault pallets (just remove the Frenzy end for being stunned. Please).
-
I will agree, it is stupid that we only get Frank and Julie by basic, and I can mostly only see it as a desperate money grab.
However, do you realize how many BASE cosmetics they would have? SIXTEEN. And then you would have to have all of those prestiged, so that would be 32 plus the knives and the snowy eyes mask, for a total of 35 "base" cosmetics.
All in all, they did it to save resources. I don't exactly like it, but it makes sense. -

Yeah, I noticed that after posting.

Now here, we need to discuss how to buff them without making them OVERPOWERING as Hell.
My main suggestion is reduce their base Terror Radius. Seriously, they're TEENAGERS. Why can you hear them walking up from what seems like a mile away. It also seriously hinders them, since they SHOULD have the element of surprise with their power, but they don't.
Another is to reduce the cooldown, but not so much that it's too much for Survivors to handle.
Actually make mend dangerous to deal with, it gets dealt with way too fast.
Increase the base duration of their Frenzy. By the time you hit someone and try going to someone else, you realize that they are still going to be too far away even at full replenishment. This is why they are so easily looped. Don't make Deep Wound go down in a chase though, that would just encourage tunneling way too much.
Increase the speed even more. Right now, even though they are sprinting right at you, they still struggle to catch up.
And, finally... MAKE EXPOSED WORK!!!!!!
Those are my suggestions, but that's just me playing them for 3 hours and only getting two 4ks and practically nothing every other game. Right now he is weak, but I find him fun. He just needs that map pressure so badly. -

Trapper-Reserved but isn't opposed to having a brief conversation with the chattier killers. Will never initiate it though. Also acts as the "Mouth of the Entity". Probably dislikes the Doctor and the Legion. Doc because he's a handful, Legion because he thinks they're unworthy of the "honor" of being killers for the Entity. However, he shares a strange bond with Amanda. The two can be seen talking and building traps and strange contraptions. The Doctor swears that he saw the Trapper laugh once when he was with the Pig but no one believes him.Wraith- Very reserved. Shares a strange bond with the Nurse, which explains the bandages on him. Used to refuse to cooperate with anyone other than her but he's come around to the Spirit. She seems to sense fragments of a good soul in him and the Nurse. Shattered entirely and nearly impossible to find, but there. Just dormant. No issues with anyone since he doesn't go near anyone he doesn't feel comfortable around.
Hillbilly- Peculiar. Has fits of rowdiness and has fits of isolation. Just like a child throwing a tantrum, he can swap emotions very quickly. Mumbles incoherent nonsense but basic words and phrases are able to be comprehended if you spend enough time with him. Nice to those who show him affection such as the Nurse and the Cannibal and the Hag, who has become his "new" family. Whether or not he "dines" with them is up in the air. No issues with anyone because everyone is a bit scared of him.
Nurse- Doesn't speak due to her... condition. Still makes an effort to visit everyone in the Killers' side of the Fog. As stated above, most fond towards the Wraith for reasons unknown. Feels a great deal of pity for the Spirit, knows that she doesn't belong here. No qualms with anyone.
Shape- Don't expect to get a word out of him and do not approach under any circumstances. Does what he wants, when he wants, and how he wants. He's gone as far as attempting to kill almost every killer that showed up before him. He's "calmed" himself but still, extremely competitive. Detests the Trapper especially. Has had numerous altercations with the Nightmare but the two seem to tolerate each other now. Enough to warrant spending time waiting for trials near each other. It's unclear if the Shape enjoys listening to the Nightmare but it wouldn't be stupid to assume he does.
Hag- Spends the majority of her time with the Cannibal. Not because the two like each other but because of well... the predicament that the two share. An eternal hunger for human flesh. Very barbaric and barely human, the Hag shouldn't be approached by anyone other than "Bubba". The Pig, the Nightmare, and the Legion all stay very far away because of this. She's not intentionally malevolent, that's just the way she was forced to be.
Huntress- Also very reserved (notice a trend?). Keeps to herself and preps for each trial after completing one. Enjoys the company of the Nurse but always is surprised that she's able to get away so easily. Likes the Legion because they're small and a bit taller than the kids she used to "take care" of. The Legion is very creeped out by her, other than Susie that is. Everyone else that's cognisant finds her peculiar, the others don't give a damn.
Doctor- An outlier amongst the Killers.Very loud, very obnoxious, and very interrogative. After each trial, he pesters the Killers for details and this leads to a large number of quarrels. The Entity would step in but they find the in-fighting quite entertaining. Writes down the information he obtains in a thick and grisly looking journal. Reading it would be a huge mistake. Trust me. Don't. It wouldn't be fun. Doesn't hate anyone but everyone basically hates him, to one degree or another.
Cannibal- Mute aside from grunting and squealing like a pig, the Cannibal is an interesting case. He can actually cook, despite there being no need to eat in the Entity's realm. The Hag appreciates him greatly for this but still, her stomach is bottomless. Enjoys tinkering on his saw with the Hillbilly when not eating/cooking. No one messes with him because everyone feels a bit bad for him and his mental state. The Nightmare stays away because he worries about what that chainsaw can do to him.
Nightmare (I like to think of this Freddy as Englund despite the facts. I just detest the remake, okay?)- Basically a toned down Doctor. Aggressive, obnoxious, charismatic, and narcissistic. Insists that he's simultaneously better than everyone at killing and just a poor soul who was framed during his life as a human. Makes an effort to mess with all the killers. The thing that sets him apart from the Doc is his ability to make a few of the killers chuckle with garbage jokes and puns (Frank enjoys having quip/roast wars with the Nightmare. The winner of these fights is usually a tie since both parties end up laughing til they cry). Hangs out with the Shape the most due to him having infinite patience when he wants. Would never say it, but he has a certain liking for Frank.
Pig- This is where it gets interesting. The Pig is one of the most human/sane killers. She has a journal and writes in it frequently, documenting a plethora of things. Think Benedict Baker from the other perspective. There are slivers of remorse in her, but they're quickly snuffed out every time she puts on the mask. She isn't obnoxious but she does enjoy conversations. She's the only person to reach the Trapper other than the Entity. Besides the Trapper, she enjoys hanging out with the Legion since she's into the same aesthetic and music and she's only a handful of years older.
Clown- Despite being a clown, the Clown is very reserved. He occasionally shares a conversation with the Nightmare or the Trapper but other than that, he keeps to himself. No one knows why but it's because the Clown is deeply disturbed mentally and fears that if he opens himself up to anyone they'll ruin everything he's worked for (feathers, fingers, etc.). No qualms with anyone but greatly dislikes the Doctor and Huntress. The Doctor because of his insistence that the Clown tell jokes and dance and the Huntress because she's one of the fingers he desires for his collection but knows he can never have. Weird stuff, man. Weird. Stuff.
Spirit- A truly sad case. The Spirit is one of the most innocent killers and is very reserved. She spends most of her time doing a mix of seething and sobbing. The Nurse helps her and makes sure the Doctor comes nowhere near her. She's like a daughter to her. The Wraith understands her grief and tries to comfort her as best he can. Just because they're murderers doesn't mean they don't have regrets and their fair share of grief.
Legion (Since there are four individuals here, they'll each be split up, all references to the Legion above applies to all of them though):
Frank: A smartass and someone who grew up a bully, Frank has had some trouble behaving himself in his new home. He originally tried the "tough guy" approach but quickly realized he was fresh meat and the only thing stopping the others from killing him is the "spider crab thingy in the sky". Spends a lot of time with Julie, because, well, they're dating. Enjoys listening to the Nightmare speak and tell stories and he also spies on the Shape (who's fully aware of Frank by the way) because he thinks he's awesome. Spends his private time daydreaming and listening to his walkman and the strange punk mixtapes that he keeps finding. He's got a theory that they're a gift from the Entity. Has no beef with anyone.
Julie: A preppy girl who wanted to be punk so bad she fell in with the wrong crowd and eventually became the wrong crowd, Julie became far more stoic and stalwart once she entered the Entity's realm. She loves Frank still and still loves spending time with her friends but she's become far more serious. She has a notebook she draws in that has caught the attention of the Doctor and the Pig. Surprisingly, she can put up with the Doctor to a certain degree and enjoys the spare literature he has. No issues with anyone.
Joey: Just as bold and brash as before, Joey enjoys causing a ruckus and has done his best to prove his worth to the others. Whether this is through attempts at intimidation or blatant showboating, Joey persists on being a "badass". Deep down inside, he's a bit terrified at the fact that he's a serial killer and surrounded by others like him. Spends a lot of time talking to the other Legionnaires and has attempted conversation with the Trapper multiple times (Joey assumes he's the leader) which was met with replies that were more akin to a "leave me be, kid" than an actual answer. When all else fails, hanging out with Frank and causing a commotion is always an option. He's tried to start fights with the others but has gotten nothing from anyone.
Susie: The shy and naive girl from Ormond has surprisingly found her place. She thinks all the killers are awesome and spends most of her free time away from the Legion attempting to start a conversation. The Shape even lets her ramble to him but picks her up and puts her near the other Legionnaires when he gets sick of her. Enjoys spending time with the Pig since the two have similar music tastes. The Pig really does like Susie and is considering making her a protege of hers. No one has any issues with her because everyone practically likes her.
Jesus Christ... That took ages to write down. Hopefully, you guys like it and hopefully, @not_Queen or any other dev agrees with some aspects of this!
Loved it!

The team had all five gens done and was opening a door. I was playing Trapper and finally hooked Bill for the first time (I had only been playing for about a week). Tapp got caught in a trap, so I slapped him then went up the hill on the farm (that was when I actually hooked Bill). Meg came running by, so I gave her a slap and started chasing, when I saw Claudette heading my way. Tapp was crawling away and Meg ran into another trap I had at a pallet. I hooked her, Bill died, and somehow I caught Claudette. Then I hooked her and found Tapp. They were so close.
On another note, though the rest of the match was uneventful, I intoxicated a toxic Claudette before she could throw down the pallet and got her. She was already injured too. AND she missed her DS. I didn't really care after that.
-
Like Raven said, he might be violent and aggressive, but he was a debt collector after rugby. You don't get paid for killing people.
Just about every killer has had murderous intent (even Rin and Lisa, Rin being attacked by her father and wanting revenge, and Lisa wanting revenge against her captors). David's just aggressive.
As for the not fighting thing, again, like Raven said (very simply). We don't know how long he has been in the Fog. How do we know he didn't try to put up a fight when he first met a Killer? -
I approve.

Perk Philosophy: Every perk should have a specific use or problem that it helps resolve. Let's, for Surveillance solve the problem of a Survivor continuously touching regressing gens while the killer desperately keeps kicking it.Surveillance:
After a Survivor touches a regressing Generator, they suffer from the exposed effect for 20/30/40 seconds.
"Are you gonna behave?" — Amanda YoungNormally when you see a regressing Generator, your first instinct is to give it a quick touch. Surveillance forces you to think twice about your actions; "Is the killer close?... Is the killer Surveilling this generator?".
And Boom. You have a perk that matches the concept while simultanuously addressing a part of the game that hasn't previously been touched: An incentive not to touch a regressing Gen. Or well... At least with some careful considerations.Normally, I would say this is too powerful, but then they added Haunted Ground and, soon, Iron Maiden, as well as Make Your Choice. Honestly, Surveillance needs ANYTHING to make it usable outside of adepting Amanda, which I've already done. So I'd be happy with this, even if I feel 40 seconds would be too much (I feel like it should only increase by 5 seconds per rank, but that's just me.)
-
He's fun and can have serious jumpscare potential, so I would recommend him for that.
Just don't run ALL 3 of his perks at once unless you are trying to adept him. They are the most contradicting perks on any Killer. Period.
-
I'm going to purposefully equip that perk LAST when I get her to Lvl 10. Once I get her achievement, it's going away, never to see the light of day again. (my way of leveling is weird, I use only there basic perks until I get them to level 10, nothing else.)

Legion's backstory is actually really cool. Not on the level of Kenneth or Rin, but still far better than Michael (they still need to give him and Laurie a decent backstory). Especially how Susie really didn't want to kill, hence why she had the least tally marks on the teaser.
The end of Jeff's backstory is just sad. Poor dog (yes, I felt more bad for the dog than I did for the janitor that got murdered, that's just how I am. I love animals, both on and off the table.)

Just make him not rely too much on add-ons somehow. That's really all he (and almost every other Killer) needs.
The Calm Spirit buff really didn't help him either.
If you play him right, he is nearly unstoppable. But out of all the Killers, he needs his add-ons the most. Illusionary pallets and the fake red stain are by far my favorites -
Honestly, Rin is fine where she is. She takes skill to use, but I can't really think of any way to buff her without making her overpowered.
I do like the idea with Amanda, since people usually have the sense to get away anyway, so it really wouldn't get many people. I like her, but she needs a little bit of help.

Sometimes simple things are also awesome
No, its pretty bad
Is that why Michael is so popular in the horror genre?
Just saying, he's not exactly complex to look at. -
Michael can instantly down you! NERF!!!
Meanwhile... In tier one, he moves at a really slow speed compared to most, his lunge, even with the add-on that supposedly increases it, is practically meaningless, in order to be effective, he has to stalk people, and while doing that, he can't attack you. On corn maps, there's not much he can do as corn blocks his line of sight, each Survivor only has a limited amount that can be stalked, once you are out, it's over. In tier two, he moves at normal speed and has a normal lunge, but he can't do much else. Tier three has a time limit most of the time. A rather short one that, if you're far away, won't really affect you.
But still. That clearly isn't important. HE CAN INSTANT DOWN!!!! NERF!!!!
Oh... I love sarcasm.

Yea, lets make solo players even more weaker, sounds fun and fair.
and how would that make them weaker?
and how would YOU nerf DS then?
please tell me instead of just clicking LOL ^^
Is clicking lol like a thumbs down in this forum?
yes.
no one knows why, but its the case.
sometimes im getting a little confused when looking at my LOL ratings, as i dont even know where i made a joke and where ppl just disagreed with me...
this forum needs a "vote down" option...I think they used to, but people abused it.
nope.
been on these forums since day 1, there never was any ability to vote sthg down.Huh. I could've sworn there was. But then again, my memory isn't that great when I need it to be.
