Yeah happened once but then it let me in for some reason.

It's kind of silly that you can't use it for basement because it's missing a couple of meters LOL. Adding like 3 more meters so it's useful for basement hooks too would make sense. In some maps you can actually make it work because of the placement of the basement, for example if the basement spawns under the House in Garden of Joy you can use it but in most maps you cannot which is inconsistent.

People are just looking for any way to nerf MFT, directly or indirectly, even if it's ruining other, fair perks.
MFT needs adjustments but nuking perks that synergizes with it doesn't fix the issue and only reduces variety (which will be reduced even further when MFT eventually gets nerfed/reworked). And people aren't realizing that nerfing other perks will only make people use MFT even more.
Agreed. I don't understand this logic. Why are we rewriting other perks over MFT? Just because MFT exists now doesn't make Hope overpowered or nerf-worthy all of a sudden. Hope has been the same perk for a long time.
Some people also don't seem to understand how different Hope is from MFT. They see "both are haste perks=they are the same thing" when Hope's work condition makes it very different from MFT.
With MFT survivors have very easy access to haste and it can last the entire game. If we think about the fact that you're bound to get injured throughout a match, you are endlessly guaranteed to get value from this perk. On top of this it also gives you Endurance after healing someone but I ain't even gonna talk about that.
Meanwhile with Hope you're risking a perkslot and playing the majority of the game with only 3 perks. You aren't even guaranteed to get value from it or see it activated since you have to make it to endgame. It's a reward for completing all generators, a hefty task.
Hope is high risk, high effort, high reward while MFT is low risk, ,low effort, high reward.

I'm not sure if this discussion is about "Accessibility" or "Nerf Dredge". The lines are very blurred here even though they are two very different topics.

It's now literally dead zones the map. Please add some pallets back in this is deeply unserious.
On yesterday's stream they acknowledged that they heard the feedback about there not being enough pallets on it.
-
Why are we nerfing other perks because MFT exists now? Nerf MFT if it's a problem and deal with it individually. Nobody even cared about Hope until that combo was possible. Stop trying to balance the entire game and haste around MFT.

Yeah the name of the charm and first twitch drop are different. FYI for any DBD item collectors - the names are different as per @Equus' comment. Thanks for clarifying that one up!
Now I'm waiting on the Hag weapon lol it says "Pending". I already claimed it 20 mins ago. Maybe it takes some while for this one.

I'll check now @Equus thanks for your support :)
And @Venusa it's so irritating right? Could you "connect" via twitch though? So weird it hasn't recognised my link between accounts.. woke up 5am AEDT for this :'(
The thing is after claiming the charm successfuly it says Connect now even though I already claimed it but it leads to the BHVR website like you shared as if you're a BHVR employee LOL. It looks like an error. I think you also received them but the name is different.
-
@Equus informed me the charm is named "creepy pocket spa" and not "hatch micro playset"!

@Equus said:
Are you sure you didn't get it? The charm is named 'creepy pocket spa' and not 'hatch micro playset'. I have the same message on drops but do have the charm in the game.
Omg thank you! IDK why its name is different everywhere else... It looks like I did get the charm.

Same here! Got it on Twitch and when the game loaded up I even saw the notification of the item. Looked in inventory and it isn't there, even typed its name and no result.

Thank you for taking the time to share this!π

It's not a Killer! They're "HAUNTS". Previous Survivors or Persons that were lost to the Void and try to latch onto anything to feel real again. Gameplay wise, they will work as Jumpscares.

It's not semantics to remind you what the point you're trying to argue against actually is.
We also are considering the real applications of those perks. There are a lot more viable perks than people think there are, and that's not only looking in a vacuum or talking hypothetically. In a real match, preparing for realistic scenarios, you have a lot of options for perks. You don't have to run four meta chase perks, and in fact, doing that is probably going to hurt your chances of winning in the long run.
The reality is potential value doesn't make a perk "good" or viable. In any video game players would want to choose perks or powers that give them value every time they bring it. It's not a shameful thing to do, it's only natural. This is where the problem is. Your definition of good is "There's a chance most perks can give you some type of value eventually so most of them are good."
This isn't the case when it comes to real gameplay. There are so many situational perks for survivors that it's not worth running for the potential of "x perk value!" in that one random match. So people naturally want to run perks that has high chance of giving consistent value.
For example, my standard build for survivor is Bond, Deja Vu, Off the Record, Adrenaline and everytime I wish to try something different or fun the game makes me regret it because bringing those perks would be more helpful instead of trying some wacky niche build that makes me very vulnerable to certain killer strategies.

"Most" would imply a majority. In order for that list to counter my post at all, it would need to be a majority of survivor perks. If it isn't, and it's in fact a minority, that would mean "most" survivor perks are good, actually.
(Also, not every perk in that list is bad. Cut Loose is a perfectly fine perk, just outclassed by Quick & Quiet, and Urban Evasion can be used well if you know what you're doing.)
As long as we set our bar reasonably, at "consistently provides value (or is potent enough to be viable despite being situational, like Reassurance)", most survivor perks are perfectly viable.
If we're only talking semantics and don't care about the real-life applications of said perks, then maybe.

Do you think there being a list of perks that are bad counters this post in any meaningful way? Surely you aren't under the impression this list comprises a majority of survivor perks, right?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3562064#Comment_3562064
To be fair, I'm not talking about niche healing perks like those three. Those three are weak, but other healing perks are not. We'll Make It, Botany Knowledge, Autodidact, Circle of Healing, even something like Desperate Measures can be genuinely very strong, especially in the right loadout.
Yes. The title is "Most Survivor Perks Are Good, Actually" which isn't true, actually. I only posted a fraction of useless survivor perks, I could in fact keep going but wanted to keep it short. These perks merely existing is enough of a counterargument for your post so I didn't feel the need to go in detail since it's clear LOL.

then for people who want it to be turned off, give them the option to do it
for the rest of us, let it show unless they ever decide to actually give some sort of tangible reward for it
I have a theory that with the upcoming "Player Cards" feature players will have the option to showcase their Prestige Levels if they wish to and this will be the middle-ground solution.

Whatβs the point of having this prestige system if you canβt even show it off?
Because it is only used as a tool to lobby-dodge which breaks matchmaking and target or harass certain players. This is what a game company should prioritize, user experience. Sorry, "to show it off" doesn't hold much weight and it's a pretty surface-level excuse for it to be visible. Negatives outweigh the positives.
-
What do you gain from seeing your friend's prestige level?
-
You have to be physically touching a hooked survivor to enjoy the game?
-
Damn... Some of you really won't rest well until all survivors run Calm Spirit, Premonition, Red Herring and Poised every single game. It's getting tiring. Have a nice day.

It's working as intended? You wrote the perk description here as if it's a bug. Yes, survivors have a 10 second window so it isn't wasted every single time and they can choose when to use it instead of walking around Exhausted for nothing. No, the sprint doesn't last 10 seconds, it's 5 seconds when activated. Lastly no, it doesn't guarantee anything.

The ultimate weapon issue being marked as not a bug, was a human error - it happens, Moderators pass on the bug reports to the team and change bug status's - sometimes an error can happen and a wrong drop down is selected. It's unfortunate when it does, but the bug was already on our radar and logged seperately, hence the fix went through.
Thanks for fixing that issue! That bug was wild.π

I find it laughable how there are people who legitimately argue that being able to effortlessly reveal/find your chosen target almost any time you want is no big deal.
On this Forum "MFT is a frustrating perk bc it's very strong with no good counterplay and punishes M1 killers" is an okay opinion to have but "UW is a frustrating perk w/ no good counterplay that overpowers S tier killers" will you get you crucified and called a bad player.π
-
This would be very helpful! It's very hard to see auras in some maps like you said.
Also might as well make "event auras" something other than yellow or orange so it's easier to distinguish them from perks that give them the same color.
-
Yes! Wraith's weapons almost give me motion sickness when he's invisible because the "Cloak VFX" keeps distorting one side of my screen since the weapon is there and it's so big...
-
A combination of MMR not being the best because it's an inaccurate calculation of one's skill since escapes and kills aren't the best ways to measure player skill in a game like this where outside factors not in your control tend to have an affect on the outcome of your matches and lobby-dodgers causing matchmaking to backfill lobbies since it doesn't prioritize skill rating when they leave but tries to find someone as soon as possible to fill the empty spot.
-
Ultimate Weapon has such evil potential. Some hardcore Killers here won't admit it though because they're are too scared it'll get nerfed so they pretend it doesn't have problematic applications and try to paint an innocent picture. They usually see the title of your post and go "Killer Nerf?=Objection! No matter how logical it is!" They don't care if it's reasonable. We had people here defending busted af Killers/Perks here for years...
I've dropped every other info perk since the release of UW and honestly I feel kinda guilty using it, I just open lockers and go to next target. So many dirty killer/perk combos you can pull off too. I get accused of cheating every time but it's literally just this perk LOL. If you're not a looping god (you don't have to be) your playstyle is nullified by this perk. At least I can admit UW does too much for least amount of effort.

Bye Grandpa!π₯°
-
I commonly see posts about this on bug reports for the past few weeks... I'm convinced it's a game issue rather than a personal technical issue like they want us to believe...
Game also keeps pushing me in 400ms lobbies lately and I have to skip and find one where I get my usual ping... Nothing wrong with my internet either I tested extensively.
-
Omg I love the title, it's so mysterious. Rizzo rift tome when?
-
Yes! I'm also still waiting for this... I remember they specifically said they would look at this issue when nerfing Iron Will.
You're literally at a disadvantage if you choose to play Jeff, Jane, Haddie, Laurie, Bill, Ash, Feng, Claire and others I can't think of at the moment.
Why is an uninjured Jeff simply just running almost louder than an injured Ada? Nonsense.
-
This is exactly the same issue people had during PTB release. Y'all had 3 full weeks to fix this... I'm disappointed...
