  • That only happens when you camp the pallet for the stun (something bad survivors do.) If you're actually in full sprint when you toss the pallet, it creates a vaccum that stops the killer.

    Imagine fix your trash gameplay.

No-one is crying here. All I've said is that I'm not willing to participate, and want to move onto the next game. And, as I've commented earlier, I've had a lot more enjoyment out of the game not going against an outrageously OP opponent.

And what about your team? What if they have a chance to win and then you just decide to throw because you don't like the Killer?

Fact is, every Killer in every match is outnumbered and ill-equipped, especially when going against sweaty swf teams, and yet this incredibly stressful role is responsible for providing the game's challenge.

Just because you can't counter play spirit doesnt mean other people can't. Maybe play a bit of her yourself, get good as her, and then formulate outside-the-box strategies to deal with her instead of killing yourself and screwing over your teammates.

Its attitudes like that that are slowly killing this game.

  • In order of when I remember them. (Killers with no nicknames excluded.

    Wraith: Brown Lightning

    Hillbilly: Billy

    Huntress: Momma

    Shape: Mikey

    Pig: Piggy

    Freddy: Frederick

    Executioner: Captain Isosceles

    Demo: Demomuffin

    Twins: Charlie/Vic (respectively)

    Blight: Talbot

    Deathslinger: Yeehaw

    Legion: The Walking Nerf

    Oni: Bambam

    Ghost Face: Danny

  • Waaaah, jumpscare killer isn't easy to run from, waaaaah.

If Killers threw every match where they felt it was pointless to go up against impossible odds, then there would be no DbD.

  • Nah I just took your concept and went my own way with it.

  • I took a crack at this myself, and you're right! I hardly changed anything, but just the removal of his jaw alone upped his scariness plenty! You have a great idea here.

  • Its true, and that sucks, considering that there are a ton of buttons on the controller they could use. Ive seen people self care under pallets and die instead of throwing them.

Best looking survivor is kate - good looking, nice curves, the only survivor with a tattoo. Best looking killer is Myers - gotta love those legs.

Worst looking are Nea (for obvious reasons) and Plague - that Two-Face thing is just nasty

David's got one on the back of his neck.

    Most Attractive Survivors:

Female- I want to say its Claudette because she's just the best, but as far as looks go, she's just really cute. I would have to give the most attractive to Cheryl. She just needs to get some more sleep and a long hot shower to really glow.

Male- Felix, no contest. David has a nice body, but his face looks like it was smashed against a speeding train.

    Least Attractive Survivors:

David - Sorry David fans, muscles aren't everything. He'd look better with a paper bag over his head.

Nea- Her face, it haunts me.

    Most Attractive Killers:

Female- Huntress. She has some really nice facial features under her mask and she doesn't suffer from the decay or corrosion that the other killers get.

Male- Ghostface. I know that we don't know what his face looks like, but thats what our imagination is for and I imagine him to look like Ed Skrein.

    Least Attractive Killers:

Female - It has to be Hag. No contest.

Male- Blight, I mean just look at his face. I'd rather go to "happy town" with the Demogorgon. Hill Billy is a close second runner to the Blight tho.

I took a really good look at Ghostface's Driver's liscence id. He kinda looks asian.

Lol. Facecamping Bubbas are a treasure.

  • It might not be crazy of you to run some end game perks. When I first got them, I remember that blood warden worked really well with Victor's ability to stop people from leaving.

  • Yeah man, I play both, and believe me, it goes both ways. In terms of stressful gameplay, Killer beats out Survivor by a long shot.

  • Definitely make his main event power activateable on command instead of limited time only, and get rid of that absurd recoil system. Deathslinger's high powered butchered frankenstied spike cannon doesn't have recoil, so neither should nylon throwing knives.

  • Freddy is much easier, but GF is really good too. However, between them, Freddy is the fast track to victory.

I mean....I don't have a problem with either but I wouldn't be so quick to pass off Fnaf given visually they are absolutely way more unsettling than this guy.

That being said I think....ugh calling him the trickster still feels so dumb....can we just call him "The Idol" or something anyways and call it a day? Anyways, I think he is visually not as creepy, but they gave him a pretty creepy ass demeanor and that makes up for it imo.

That Doesn't scare me because I know for a fact that it could never happen. Animatronics are bolted to the floor, and do not possess onboard computers. They are completely mechanical, immobile, and incapable of becoming bloodthirsty murderers.

But this argument isnt about DbD being realistic or scary. Just that the majority of fans are treating this new killer like BHVR straight added a kitten with a rubber mallet as its weapon as the new Killer.

I Think he's plenty creepy. The most unsettling thing about him is the fact that he's just human. He's not a seven foot tall zombie cowboy or an extra crispy boogeyman with magical dream powers. I applaud BHVR for branching out, but other people seem to hate them for it.

I mean thats normal vs abnormal trying to be considered normal. only one of the two stands out like a sore thumb and causes people to make all these stupid threads about did """""WE""""" finally get put into the game guys?!

@Rizzo90 Don't get upset this time.

It almost seems like heterosexuality is the abnormal thing these days. Way too many people consider themselves LGBT just because that's what's popular. Its frustrating.

  • We've seen that his power has value at low-wall loops. If huntress was at one, she has to worry about janky hit boxes, hatchet arc, and survivor jukes, however, Trickster can just spam his knives (assuming he has plenty at that moment) while strafing side to side. I saw OhTofu damage AND down the same person with nothing but knives at one of these loops.

BHVR needs to buff his power though. Main Event is just dumb, it doesnt last long and you cant really control when you use it. Its either use it NOW NOW NOW or lose it till the meter fills up again.

  • Im actually doodling one right now while at work. Ill show you my idea once its done.

No I only meant that there are some people that are asking for exactly that. And demanding this is just wrong

Well, those people need to STFU too. I'm not against someone being LGBT in the game, I just don't see it as a huge deal. People who don't want it just because of hate can go get their leg caught in a trap.

    Never said purposeful.

but after they admitted it was unintentional exclusion, should they have turned to intentional exclusion?

Of course not. As for the Purposeful exclusion, I just assumed that's what you meant when you said the community felt they were being "explicitly excluded for exclusion's sake".

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1989321#Comment_1989321

The devs said so in the statement from June last year. It wasn’t intentional from their side, but it still happened.

How does not intentional translate to purposeful exclusion?

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1989287#Comment_1989287

Yeah but that’s pretty much what most people want: treating LGBT+ like they treated heterosexual relationships before. We are not asking to make a big deal out of it. On contrary, many people pro inclusion don’t want that, but also we don’t want explicit exclusion just for exclusions sake.

And what gives the community the impression that they're being purposely excluded?

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1988934#Comment_1988934

Just for the record, I never called you a homophobe and just said it seems like you have a problem with LGBTQ+ because of your previous title and the fact that heterosexuality didn’t seem to bother you.

Its not that it didn't bother me, its just that I didn't even notice it, because it had literally no effect on the game's overall feel or lore. That just proves my point- It doesn't make a huge difference, so there's no reason to make a big deal about it. I never specified who was accusing me. but if you read some of the comments outside of our debate you'll see a couple. One even implies that I'm a "Thinly Veiled Homophobe."

wow who knew me being gay meant i was actually a political statement and not just me having been born like this

It means sexuality is a huge political thing now. Im not accusing anyone of using it as such, but anyone with eyes or ears can clearly notice that its a huge player on the political battlefield these days.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1988942#Comment_1988942

"Need" is a strong word. "Want, because heterosexuality is already in the game and everyone should get equal treatment" is more accurate.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1988952#Comment_1988952

Sexuality is not political. Human beings existing and having certain characteristics is not political.

I beg to differ. Everything from race to gender, to sexual preference has become political in modern society.

What you describe is, indeed, how it should be, but the reality is that the majority of LGBT activists are busy taking that personal thing and shoving it down everyone else's throats, and, unfortunately, the rest of us end up getting lumped in with them.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1988884#Comment_1988884

It really doesn't depend on the complaints I'm looking at, though. Show me one person who said that sexuality has no place in horror (a hilarious misconception given that the slasher genre is steeped in sexuality and has been since its inception) who also complained about all those characters' lore as much as they're complaining about hypothetical LGBT characters.

If sexuality has no place in DbD, then that includes heterosexuality, but people only complain about non-heterosexuality. And you wonder why some might think the complaints are fueled by homophobia?

Yes, hearing about the same subject many times can get annoying. However, most of the threads were like this one, asking why people wanted it or why it mattered or whatever, if not downright homophobic (using throwaway accounts, naturally, because those people can't even own up to what they believe unless they don't have to face any consequences).

Sex is a huge horror trope, yes! Sexuality, however is not. Sexuality is political now, and that pretty much all but completely seperates it from the beautiful, touching, interpersonal spark that it used to be.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1988880#Comment_1988880

This thread has remained open all this time, OP isn't banned (not even jailed), so this rings more than a little hollow.

To be fair, this thread has seen me accused of homophobia a good amount. Its all good though. It doesn't get to me.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

If you're not a homophobe then it shouldn't bother you if the killer is lgbtq or any other character in this game, end of story.

  • @Shenanigan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1980484#Comment_1980484

It's probably because they didn't notice about any of the characters sexualities in game mostly because they never really thought it mattered even with straight characters. I guess for characters like nurse it was included for her lore purposes but we just saw it as, "oh ok, I guess that's her lore, time to queue up for a match"

I can also see why that people would want a LGBTQ character, because it'll feel good to have one I wouldn't immediately jump to that conclusion that they would have a problem with LGBTQ as a whole that's a very hasty assumption since they even themselves said they weren't homophobic nor have any problems, and it was just something they didn't notice. Their wording in their post probably gave off that feeling

My Wording could have been better yes. And your right. Sexuality to me just isn't important enough in this game to make such a big deal about it, thats all this post is about.

  • @Awgustin said:

People complaining that this guy doesn't fit but wanting a fnaf chapter. What a shame

Couldnt have said it better myself.

  • @Lexilogo said:

Darkness Among Us was pretty decent from a presentation design standpoint (Legion is arguably the single most successful character design in DbD) but from gameplay I think most would agree it was the single worst in the game's history.

I don't think The Trickster works with the current graphical design of Dead By Daylight. He doesn't have to wear a mask or anything but it doesn't take a professional artist to tell you he clearly doesn't fit with the game's visual identity very well. I'm not asking him to become a disfigured monster, but even if the design MUST, absolutely MUST keep him as a relatively normal human, there'd still be ways to successfully communicate his identity as a crazed murderer and get him to visually fit amongst the roster than just having some blood splatters.

You have to remember that this opinion is completely unrelated to gameplay, as I have not played the trickster. The comparison to Darkness Among Us is purely based on the creative aspects.

  • @GodDamn_Angela said:

I think his design is great.

A LOT of posters are being overdramatic and childish when it comes to him. Many of them also only equate Horror to the Killer's looks. Which is just ridiculous.

My point exactly. The thing is, in real life, Killers have only ever been human.

  • @Hoodied said:

Darkness among us was one of the most hated chapters to ever arrive in dbd what?

I didn't hate it. I thought it was very original, and it dropped both an interesting killer and survivor, both with great backstories and perks. Thats more than I can say with recent chapters.

  • @Haddix said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1984552#Comment_1984552

    Well, what's the alternative?

You either lose 10 seconds of time on a generator

Or go down and potentially be the starting point of a massive snowball on your team that could win the game for Twins within the next 30 seconds.

You avoided being downed and evaded a chase. That's how you have to see it. Even though you lose 10 seconds of time on a generator, it doesn't matter, that was an interaction with the killer, and you were technically in chase. Think about the time it took them just to get you in that situation. Drop Victor, run over to you, hop on the locker, switch back to Charlotte and go through the fatigue, and then have no power for the next 13 seconds. What'd they get out of that situation? Nothing. You get away. You wasted far more of their time than they did yours.

Even if it's 20 seconds of time waste, that's more time than it takes to do a full heal without the assistance of a medkit or healing perks. Your teammate doing a heal during that time might be the reason you pull off a win.

See, i was under the impression that the locker thing was meant to be a means of escape when it was mentioned.

Sounds like someone who plays against noob loopers all the time. How'd you come up with the idea that she has a different base lunge than a trapper.

I played twins nonstop when they came out, and I noticed that she has a decent lunge. I never said it was better than trappers.

  • Powerless? Charlotte has a crazy base lunge. That sounds like the argument of someone who doesn't know how to counter loops.

  • Did an Oni match not too long ago. Got a 3k, then closed hatch, but this Zarina got hold of a key and used it to escape. She then messaged me and told me to, quote, "Learn to play Oni".
