Listen, I know the game can be frustrating, ESPECIALLY on console. Lord knows I've had more than my fair share of sweat squads, but all you can do is shrug it off and move on to the next match.
Trust me, the more you play, the easier it gets. Watch some youtube videos from high rank streamers, you can pick up a lot of useful tricks that way.
Don't let the loss get to you. At the end of the match, you're still getting points. If you still aren't doing well, try another killer, or swap to survivor for a bit.
You can do it, OP. Uncle Stabby believes in you.
-
No.
-
Fool! You activated my 'Get Gud' card!
My advice? Play Nemesis for a couple matches. See just how op you feel with your harmfully accurate beam whip, fat old lady speed, and your useless pet zombies.

That is actually a decent idea.
If only the devs didnt overthink everything. It could have been so simple
-
Ps4 here as well. New Killer would be great if the freezing bug werent there, but it kinda ruins it.
Im sorry? But if you make a game for pc, then make it console to get more money, then the least you could do is make sure that you're testing and optimizing for both platforms.
Side note: the Claire and Chris skins are pathetic. Please redo them.

@Huge_Bush said:
Because they couldn't figure out how to make it not affect the new vaccine item survivors need when facing the new killer.
In other words, incompetence.
They could just, idunno, make it part of the animation for searching the crate, like plague's fountain
-
Its hit me a couple times. I can confirm it works.
-
Why the Chris thing though? I want my jacked Ben Stiller Chris from RE5 back
-
Yeah, console players are suffering some freezing issues. Still, though, I'm finding it enjoyable. Nemesis is the first honestly strong killer we've had for three chapters, so its a breath of fresh air.
I must also applaud the devs for this: the first thing I said when I found out Leon was coming was "I hope they add a cosmetic for RE 4 where he's wearing his sick jacket.
Insert Pacha meme here.
-
Good, I signed on to the forum today specifically to see if it was just me. Glad it isn't. I lost more than too many chases to the freeze.

That’s the one. The black (or gray? It’s been a long time) trench coat and fedora.
Is it grey? I thought it was white, but its been a long time.
EDIT: just checked, it is black, the scarf is white.

I’d like Leon’s outfit that he wears with the Chicago Typewriter in RE4
Yeah, thats the gangster outfit, I think its called? The one where he does a hat trick instead of reloading.

I can see some really easy ones that are most likely to be added (my opinion):
Nemesis: Mr. X skin, "Form 2" Nemesis (Base cosmetics just charred and melted in areas)
Jill: Claire Redfield Legendary, RE1 STARS outfit, Linked jumpsuit from RE5
Leon: Chris Redfield Legendary, RE4 Tactical gear, RE6 Suit
Honorable mentions are Leon's Mobster attire from RE4, a Revelations 1/2 outfit for Jill, and a RE1 Tyrant Legendary (the only reason I don't see this one is because they'd have to redo animations for his claw arms)
Yeah, those would be pretty cool.

If you think human rights issues are too political, sure.
I never said anything about it being too political, but yes, human rights movements are an important part of politics.

That's misrepresenting what they said. @MandyTalk has already clarified that nothing has changed with this charm. Same rules still apply as always.
Got it. Thanks for helping clear it up, as I hadn't seen it.

In the twitter post announcing the release of the Pride charm, they mentioned that targeting based on the charm would not be tolerated. Am I just not allowed to chase and hook survivors who have it for fear of being reported unjustly?

Respect everyone's race, sexuality and gender until it comes to representation at which point anything lgbt+ is purely political and should be kept out amiright?
If you bothered to read back, you and everyone else would see that a very level headed individual managed to sway my position. Once again, I take back my statement that it was purely political, and accept that its only semi-political, as is almost everything else.

Something that seems to be ignored for the lgbt community 🤔
In some places yes, but where I live, its not bad at all. Here gay people organize regular parades, can get married, adopt, and express their love for one and other in public.

That’s not even close to what I said, but nice straw man.
You're entitled to your opinion, as am I to mine. In the end, the important thing is that we respect everyone regardless of sexuality, race, and gender.

Pride Is a protest against the violent treatment and lack of rights we’ve historically had and still continue to have in the queer and trans community. It’s not just a celebration. The difference with a “straight pride” parade is that straight people have never been historically repressed, jailed, killed for their sexuality.
So it aims to change the minds of the masses, deliver its message to the world, ansd alter the society we live in to make it more accepting.
You must admit that's at least semi political, right?

I get what you saying but I have to disagree. Yes i agree the Greeks and romans did accept homosexuallity but I would consider them an outliers In a tread. The most rest of the world was not really accepting of homosexuallity (mainly because of religion)
I'm also talking about the western part of the world in the americas. To my knowledge for all of western time homosexuallity was not accepted at all and for a very long time too to what I would say up untill the 1980s and 90s.
So based on this gay pride is so heavily valued. Although I do agree you can celebrate yourself without being hostile.
I think homosexuality started to become more public in America in the seventies. I do know that you can be openly gay just about anywhere in this country these days, and I think that's a great thing.

Yeah I know that people who say it’s political don’t always mean to be hostile but it can still easily be perceived as such. Just wanted to clear that up.
just because it doesn’t get under your skin doesn’t mean it doesn’t bother others. And especially for LGBTQ+ people that always kinda have to explain that their mere existence isn’t a political statement.
i don’t really care for excessive teabagging for example but i do get how it may bother others and I don’t try to say teabagging isn’t a problem just because it isn’t for me personally.
I dont think Ive ever been in a position where I had to explain that, myself, but I get where you're coming from.
-
@Mooks said:

You were the one bringing up the political statement which is kind of hostile. People that are LGBTQ+ don’t like it if their existence is called a political statement. It diminishes who and what they are. Inclusion and normalization shouldn’t be viewed as a political statement but just something normal.
There was never any hostility intended, my opinion has been swayed already by a less aggressive person. I no longer stand by my statement that its completely political.
As for me, I can honestly say that I have no strong feelings about anyone claiming my existence is political, but things don't get under my skin so easily. (With the exception of excessive teabagging, anyway.)

I don't think they need a movement dedicated to countering gay pride when they have a fuckton of media and 11 months of the year to do so, no.
Be proud of who you are. Don't use it as an excuse to silence lgbt+ people. Which is what the straight pride movement is all about.
Nobody's silencing anyone. And the last time I checked, the other eleven months werent celebrated as straight pride month. If straight pride really is a suppression tool, I'd say its not doing a very good job, wouldn't you?

You were the one stating gay pride is a political thing. But you are ignoring what straight pride actually is and how it is different to gay pride?
Not at all. I believe they're both poilitical and valid at the same time. This sub discussion started when I stated they were political. I'm also insinuating that to accept one and not the other is hypocritical.
-
@dspaceman20 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2221186#Comment_2221186
I think the thing with straight pride is that it may seem pointless I guess. When we think of pride its often because in the past being that thing was considered bad by society and people felt shamed. Straight People in the past haven't really been told being straight is bad so there is not really a reason to feel pride for it. (This is what I'm assuming the reason is I don't necessarily hold this belief)
I see where you're coming from, but I have to disagree. Homosexuality has been not only represented in history, but often times accepted. We know that it was a common practice in the Roman army, for example, and Greek society.
Its possible to celebrate yourself and those around you without being unnecessarily hostile about it though.

I think I half agree with what your saying and it being more semi political. The only time gay pride is political is when it pertain to the government and its laws (since that is the definition of political). But other then that I would say it's mostly not political.
In fact not alot of things are political. Nothing is inherently political. It's political mainly because we claim its political ie a social construct.
You raise a very valid point, and I agree after giving it a read. I may have been to hasty to label it as completely political as a whole, but you can at least kinda see where I'm coming from with my original point.
Honestly, the only way it will become normalized is if people just go back to living their lives and loving who they love without feeling the need to shout about it from the rooftops.

You said it was political can you give an example?
What a very sensible and calm question, thank you.
I don't believe sexuality is political, but gay pride very much is. Its a movement designed to normalize and spread acceptance for people of all sexualities. Most people rally behind it for legal changes for things like marriage and adoption. Those legal tie-ins are what make it political, or at least semi political.

Allow me to respond to your final comment there.
A straight pride charm? For what, representation?
Felix, David, Nurse, Frank and Julie; all of these characters have heterosexual relationships confirmed in their lore. Yes it's possible they're bisexual or pansexual but the only confirmed relationships are straight ones. In the entire lore of the game.
The lgbt+ charm is moreso bhvr acknowledging that lgbt+ people exist and should be proud of who they are because, excluding one or two statements we have been ignored largely. There hasn't been a single lgbt+ character in 5 years of this game, and if you don't think that's much time then let me point you to Apex Legends.
Furthermore about straight pride, look around you at the world. Look at the media you consume- how much of it includes heterosexual representation? Because it's a hell of a lot, let me tell you.
You ask for a straight pride charm, while we're still asking to not be illegal in 79 countries. You ask for a straight pride charm while trans people are being murdered for being trans. You ask for a straight pride charm, we ask to be normalised.
Straight people, in the nicest possible way, do not and will not ever know the struggles of lgbt+ people.
You do not need a straight pride charm or event to make yourself feel normalised or represented.
Do not speak over the voices of lgbt+ people on their issues if you are not lgbt+. Do not speak against their inclusion in media because "it's political".
We deserve as much representation as anybody else. We deserve to be normalised.
Sit down and stay in your lane.
Lmao. Calm down dude. Im not attacking you.

Sure that's exactly what I'm saying? lol
Be proud of who you are, pride was meant as a statement for gay people to stand together and fight opressors, the 'straight pride' is a group of opressors trying to suppres others, so you can pick which ever side you want darling
You have a very black and white view of things. No one is physically stopping you from being with someone you love, so there is no Oppression, at least in America.
Straight pride also does not have the ability to supress gay pride either.
I hope you can learn to see past sexuality and look at the bigger picture. Id hate to think Im a victim 24/7
-
@Seanzu said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2221146#Comment_2221146
Because 'straight pride' didn't exist until gay pride did and is just an attack on everything people have done to normalize gay people because they're still being attacked and murdered purely for being in love with someone, that's why it's in politics because there aren't enough protections for these people as they're seen as 'different' and need additional things to stop someone using sexuality etc as a reason to fire someone, or attack someone.
Are you saying that being proud of being heterosexual is a farce and that only gay people are allowed to celebrate the way that they love?
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:

Lgbt+ people existing is not politics.
If you think that people dating who they want because they're born that way is political, or being the gender they feel most comfortable with, you're part of the problem.

Someones sexuality isn't a political statement good lord.
You cant deny that gay pride has become heavily political. It may not have started that way, but it is now.
Someones individual sexuality is a different story of course.
Besides, we'd see how political it really is if a straight pride charm were added, just saying.
-
Well, unfortunately, this is what happens when you include real life political statements in a video game.
Just ignore them and move on. If you get tunneled for it, move on. If they abuse chat, report it and move on.
Of course, when I say abuse, i mean it literally. Unnecessary derogatory speech. You cant just report someone for disagreeing with you.
It happens.
-
No more toxic than getting a 3rd hook.
-
Okay thanks

I love it when a survivor gets a pallet hit and clickity-clicks instead of running away only to get downed two seconds later.
My solution to this toxicity is adding teabag capabilities to all killers.
