Once it goes live, I'm planning on telling every survivor who complains, that they missed their chance to change the nerfs. To be fair there was a lot feedback on the exhaustion nerf and the devs responded to it during the last stream. It's clear that they already decided the nerf is coming. The only thing people might have talked about are some of the perk changes and probably the hag/trapper buff from the survivor side of things.
I personally expect the 2.1.0 patch coming soon. Maybe with a few tweaks, but mostly like it was on the PTB.
The nerf is coming. But Survivors could have helped to adjust the actual numbers of the nerf. Devs even said that they should play on the PTB. But since they missed their chance to soften the blow...
which numbers? Exhaustion doesn't regenerate while running. That's it. There were some complains about Sole Survivor and the BNP numbers, if I remember correctly. But not much.
But to be honest I belong to those people who only tried out the changes in KYF and than had barely any intend to play public PTB. Changes are quite minimal and I still have to grind bp for my killers.Besides the waiting times were far too long for both sides. The PTB never really pulled off quite well. The BNP numbers could have been different if survivors would have bothered to play. Even the exhaustion perks might have gotten a shorter recovery time, IF the numbers would have shown that the recovery nerf was to harsh. But yes, those "hard survivor nerfs, that will be the cause for many survivors to leave" are just some minor tweaks, which won´t really affect most of the chases anyway.
-
Devs want to bring solo survivors on the same information lvl as SWF. I think that´s the wrong direction. I started playing, when people had to actually watch out and use their brain.
There were no warning signs, which told me that ruin, or NOED or UP are active. Was that survivor injured before he got downed or is there a 1 hit perk/add-on/killer active?
But now, it´s so brain dead easy, you even get informed about perks that are not even active like huntress lullaby.
Yes, they need to balance around SWF. Keeping voice chat in mind. But don´t dumb down the game for everyone. Maybe have those warning signs only for the noob ranks, with a message that those training wheels are being removed on higher ranks.

MMhhh are you sure you want exclusive content for consoles, when the regular content takes ages to arrive for consoles? Just asking where your priorities are.

That's because playing on the PTB and giving informed feedback requires some effort.
It´s easier to just go on reddit and cry about how killer sided the devs are.
Since players who out themselfes as killers get downvoted into oblivion, there is no real dialog or anything. -

Well if they release with all the nerfs for survivors, good luck with lobby waiting time. Monster Hunters release looks very attractive nowWell they will release with all those tiny nerfs. I am really confident about the killer lobby waiting times. They usually only go up, when a new killer is released. Since most survivor mains want to test the new killer in ranked matches, rather than testing them with KYF.
I find it really funny how survivors continue to threaten killer lobby times, when they just got some minor nerfs. While the game has been terribly unbalanced towards survivors for the past 2 years. When killers complained, survivors told them to git gud. I really can´t remember any 45+ minute ques for killers. But i remember how the steam forum was literally on fire during last October. When survivors had 45+ minute ques and then got dodged. All because killers stopped playing killer.
BTW. I am also looking forward to MHW. Maybe your survivor lobbies will go up, if so many killer mains leave, because the survivor nerfs are just not enough. Who knows :chuffed:

They really aren’t. The changes just killed 4 perks while making the one perk that was supposed to be nerfed meta. Dead hard is complete #########, Lithe and BL were always situational, and now suck. Let’s not forget Vigil, which is trash and no reason to pick up now.
RemoveSWF said:Survivor mains missing the point - you still get your exhaustion perk in the chase.
Sprint Burst will still trigger at the start of the chase, Lithe will still trigger when you jump over something, Balanced Landing will still trigger when you drop off something.
The only change is that after 40 seconds, you won't get a second chance with it. Logic is sound - if a chase goes that long, you're probably looping or doing some other nefarious exploit that's ruining the game.
Chases shouldn't routinely be going several minutes. If one person can loop for several minutes, the generators will be mostly done by the time the killer catches them. The killer has FOUR people to catch. Chases NEED to be shorter for balance.
I think you’re missing the point people are saying. Sprint burst is STILL META, BL and Lithe are still situational and won’t proc constantly in most maps. Vigil is #########, and won’t do anything now. But please enlighten me.
Welcome to the world of Killer nerfs. Where meta perks get nerfed so hard, that people would handicap themselfes by using them. Ohh wait, no, you haven´t reached the point where killer nerfes used to be.
There is still plenty to come into your direction.Just look at it from a different angle. SB made exaustion causing add-ons worthless, since it never triggered before SB got off.

Indeed, gotta love it when Survivors shoot themselves in the foot, like when they hookrush.
Then they get mad at the killer, because he´s "tunneling" the injured survivor, instead of going for the healthy one who has DS and is going to loop the killer for 3 gens.

I wouldn’t blame them for beating around the bush. They have to prepare for the full scale riot that’s going to happen.
I love how a freshly released killer got nerfed 1 week after release, because rank 20 survivors, during a free weekend + double BP event, found him OP.
But DS won´t get touched, because that could harm the feelings of survivor mains. -
They probably cancelled the PTB because survivors couldn't be bothered to test stuff that affects them and maybe get it changed before release.

Not only the totems but the trappers traps should also glow stronger. Because it really sucks, that I have to face a tree to find my own traps.Lowbei said:Hex totems should glow much more brightly for a killer.
if they are on the other side of the map, their faint red glow is just a few pixels, and with that distance a killer would need to be hauling ass over to it in time to save it, since survivors usually spawn far away as well and may be working on it.
If theres a lot going on on the screen, it can be easy to miss the tiny but very important glow, and people shouldnt need to face a tree or wall to look around for their hexes. -

Killer is not hard mode if you know what you are doing. A skilled Nurse player will MOST of the time get a 4K no wuestions
Yeah, if she don't kiss the wall at 34523523532 deadzones on each map.
We ALL know how OP the Nurse is when skilled. Sure everybody has dunked on a baby Nurse but a 4K is easy with Nurse once you master the blinks. The deadzones are a game flaw not an issue to do with survivors. Nurse and Billy are easy mode. Sometimes so is the Huntress and Myers. Even I (being a very mediocre killer) had a 4K with Myers with only one gen being complete.
You had 4k with him on low ranks. Try playing on high, really. Your bias is a result of not playing the both sides regularly on same ranks.
IF you play nurse.
IF you spend tons of hours on her.
IF you manage to find mediocre survivors.
THEN and only then, you have a chance for a 4k on rank 1.

I guess you meant Billy instead of Leatherface. I do just fine with him on Lerys. Adapting really helps. Lithe would have become the new Sprint Burst. Balanced Landing was and will always be a niche perk unless they give it a complete overhaul.RotBb said:
Yes while I see where you’re coming from, the blanket nerf is too big of a nerf. Unless the killer swings and misses before you vault, you will get hit. Dead hard is not a log enough sprint to escape the chase. Balanced landing couldn’t even activate on certain maps. Sprint Burst is the largest meta, right next to self care, but that doesn’t mean that all exhaustion perks need a nerf. It’s like playing Lérys as Leatherface. There are so many windows that your chainsaw becomes useless. Balanced landing can’t be activated on a portion of maps, so you brought a useless perk. If you’re injured, it’s likely you’re going down if you try to use lithe.ItsDaEmuDood said:@RotBb said:
With the 2.1.0 update over the horizon, we are getting our perks nerfed. Sprint burst, dead hard, lithe, balanced landing, self care. They’re becoming less useful with the next update. Here’s my idea to keep their usefulness just as good.
Self Care- using a medkit to heal by yourself will make the medkit lose charges at 30/40/50% the speed. Lose progress when not using a medkit is healing is interrupted. Heal others with medkits 30/40/50% faster.
Exhaustion perks- normal activation situations still apply. Recover from exhaustion at 25/30/40% speed while running, 75/80/85% while walking, 90/95/100% while crouched, and 95/100/105% while not moving.Sorry, but the point of a nerf is to make a perk less useful, or drop it out of the meta. People were complaining that Dead Hard, Lithe, and Balanced Landing didn't need nerfs. They actually do because once Sprint Burst dropped out of the meta, people would turn to these perks for their Sprint Burst. Sprint Burst was the actual speed boost on demand. Lithe and Balanced Landing had certain conditions that needed to be met to activate the Sprint Burst within. Lithe was pretty much Sprint Burst, but you HAD to be in a chase to use it, and you couldn't use it in open areas. Balanced Landing also has its uses. You could have the Killer chase you, and just hop off a ledge, have reduced stun time, and get a Sprint Burst. The most probable reason that it's only a Rare Perk and not a Very Rare Perk is that it depends on the map's terrain, which is the determining factor of its usefulness. We do have map offerings too, so Charred Wedding Photographs, Jigsaw Pieces,The Last Mask, and even Heart Lockets would rise in use, threatening Killers with the ability to abuse the height of the map's main building's and height attractions. Adding these would simply be reworks, and might even make them better. The whole point of the Exhaustion nerf was for it to be less of a problem for Killers, especially good ones.

i love how some people just say "adapt" without any thinking, brainless tbh. If you look at the pickup speed and have any slight experience with flashlight saves "i doubt" , you will probably know it's almost impossible unless the killer is a baby one. Mark my words, pickup speed will be reverted soon or at least nerfed

Survivors abused the ######### out of it, by using it against a killer who is animation locked and can't defend himself against it. Finally they do something about it, since changing the animation might be to complicated.
So, yeah. Adapt or stop using it.
It was always possible to blind killers while they carry someone. But survivors relied so much on the animation locked killer, that only a few learned to do it. Reminds me of jucking. Only a few learned to actually juke. The rest just "learned" how to run in circles. Now they defend looping like there's no other way to lose the killer. -

SB limits my own mobility between chases. When it's on cooldown, I have to walk. Lithe gives me the freedom to run anytime I want - and vaults are the easiest thing in the world to find - especially since it works over pallets.
All these perks must always be a "once per chase" perk, PEROID
Deal? -

Every PvP game with ranks, balances around high ranks. Every except DbD, which balances around the lowest possible rank.ISaboUrLife said:@Tsulan said:
ISaboUrLife said:In the most recent PTB, some of the meta-perks got a severe nerf due to their powerful impact in a chase (I'm talking about the exhaustion perks). Also, Brand new part got changed because it would significantly boost the speed at which the generators were made, which made it a hated add-on. However, the new changes aren't a solution, because Nurse, Hillbilly and so on are still powerful killers, and it will be even HARDER to get away from them now with the exhaustion nerf. I totally agree that Hag and Trapper needed a buff, and I also think Freddy and Wraith need one too, but, at this point in time, killers are almost guaranteed to win the game if they know how to play the killers I mentioned before.
BNP got nerfed, because it's simply to.powerful. Survivors can finish all gens in under 3 minutes, without BNP. Now imagine how fast it would be with BNP. Not even a 2 minute match.
You don't seem to play on high ranks. Because right now, survivors can win almost every match. Only exception are nurse and billy.
All killers should be at the same power level as Billy.
You talk about high ranks like they matter the most or something (which they don't, every rank matters, wheter it's 15 or 1). I didn't even complain about the BNP nerf, I just that it's now weaker. You also didn't reply to my thoughts on the exhaustion nerf, you talked about how weaker killers should be more powerful (and I said that too). I was trying to say that Nurse is still an OP killer, and that survivor nerfs will make it even more challenging to get away from her, which is not okay.
Now they finally start to balance in baby steps towards the right direction. We'll see where it ends. -
Why are there so few survivors which learned the art of jucking? Why does everyone think that running in circles is the only way to play the game?
Doesn't it become boring after awhile?
Try to learn how to juke the killer and he won't camp you after a good chase. Mainly because he lost you. -
Survivors ARE brutally OP right now. Not just slightly. Killers should know what to expect, to prepare accordingly. It's a 4vs1 after all. Survivors shouldn't be able to bully the killer. 1. Heavily nerf Survivor items (particularly flashlights).
2. Try to make items less of a pain in the ass for Killers so they won't mind their presence.Until either - or both - of those things happen, if you don't want to get dodged for bringing items or last-second switching, then just don't bring items you know Killers will dodge you for nor do a last-second switch.
What the hell are you talking about? Are you listening to your self?
Stop bloody White Knighting for a moment and listen to what you've said.
Entitlement at it's fullest. The point of this post is not giving the power to anyone to use power over others.
Do you think Survivors "enjoy' playing a game with Mori ? The single most broken offering in the game?
No one does. The thing is, they just put up with it, and if they "don't enjoy the game" they leave. The same Rules should apply to killers. If you want to DC after you get Flashed, feel free to do so.
Survivors don't get to know what sh*ty combination the killer is bring, they killer shouldn't know what survivors have prepared for him either.People seem to think that survivors are BRUTALLY overpowered and they DOMINATE the game.
That's almost laughably wrong. Although survivors have the edge right now the balance is TOO damn thin.
Remove 3-4 pallets from every map, make only purple Flashlight being able to somewhat Blind, and it's over. The game is dead. reviews hit 50% the next day, because the game is THAT broken at this point. You don't want survivors to pallet loop you, and you don't want them to heal or Flashlight you.
Then tell me. What exactely do you want me to do? Do you want us to have the ability to throw ourselves on hook just so it's more convenient to you ?
Are survivor mains really so delusional, that they forget or don't care, that they are bullying a human being?!
Killers don't want that survivors throw themselves at the killer. Or that they run in a straight line.
Killers enjoy a good chase. With breaking line of sight, searching the survivor again and going over the whole map. I don't mind if I get jucked for 5 gens. Because a good chase is a lot of fun.
But survivors haven't learned the art of jucking. They just learned to abuse the hitbox difference between killers and survivors, and started running in circles. Running in circles isn't fun at all.
Survivors claim that the reviews of the game will drop or that they will abandon the game. When survivors haven't even been nerfed half as hard as killers. Killers had to swallow a lot nerfs, which made certain killers or perks completely useless.
When killer meta perks got nerfed, everyone stopped using them. Since they got nerfed so hard, killers were handicapping themselves by using them.
When survivor meta perks got nerfed, survivors complained that the perks are useless, but still used them. Survivors use 5 perks on every rank and platform. DS, SC, SB, DH and BT. Those perks have been "nerfed" in the past, but still were so overwhelming OP that it had no impact on the meta.
So please, stop threatening the devs.
The only moment killers have a longer que, is when a new killer is released and survivor mains want to test him on ranked instead of KYF.
I still remember the last time killers stopped playing killer. Survivors had 45+ minute queues.
But you keep forgetting that. -
BNP got nerfed, because it's simply to.powerful. Survivors can finish all gens in under 3 minutes, without BNP. Now imagine how fast it would be with BNP. Not even a 2 minute match.ISaboUrLife said:In the most recent PTB, some of the meta-perks got a severe nerf due to their powerful impact in a chase (I'm talking about the exhaustion perks).
You don't seem to play on high ranks. Because right now, survivors can win almost every match. Only exception are nurse and billy.
All killers should be at the same power level as Billy. -
Don't be ridiculous. BBQ gives the killer a hint where to search a survivor. By the time he reached that spot, a survivor already moved. Unless he stands in the grass, thinking he's invisible.Cecaelia said:@Tsulan said:

Killer mains are SALTY over decisive strike. It is a crutch perk but so is BBQ and Chill, brutal strength, and nurses calling...not to mention all of the aura reading add-ons that could be called a crutch on the killers side. There are both crutch survivor perks (DS, sprint burst, self care) and crutch killer perks. If it works then why ######### about it? If the player using DS acts toxic, don’t assume everybody who runs DS is a toxic player.@Cecaelia said:

I'm sorry but whenever I see a toxic survivor acting all high and mighty running this perk is just silly. You act like you don't care because you abuse loops and get a free get outta jail free card when running this and they have the nerve to say ez in the lobby. I find people that don't run it and can actually run the whole game without it more worthy to the title of being a good survivor.Does BBQ and Ruin make you a good killer? The question can be reversed.

Comparing DS (a perk that gives a free, undeserved escape after failing) to BBQ (a perk that significantly reduces camping) is like comparing Eggs with Bananas.
People have such a short memory. They don´t remember how the game was before BBQ or swivel hooks.
If i see 1 more complaint about BBQ, i swear i´m going full Insidious Basement camper with Leatherface until survivors ask me to equip BBQ again.Do it. Wear that Insidious Basement Leatherface.
How is BBQ and DS any different. Both give undeserving escapes/finds. They are the same in that regard. I've seen killers before BBQ that couldn't find a survivor right next to them, now they just zip on over with the BBQ and Billy and begin the chase. Not to mention let's be honest, if a killer doesn't see one survivor on BBQ he suddenly just stands there and searches every blade of grass even tho 40m is pretty far out lol.

LOL Judging by the comments, I AM NOT GOING TO ENJOY TRYING TO BE FAIR. But even when I have played friendly killer, I still end up with about as many points as the survivor team I let farm. I try to play for fun so that doesn't mean I always have to get kills necessarily. And believe me, I will counter toxic survivors with equal toxicity. I just mean I won't be douchey to someone who's not being douchey to me.Yes... yes... let the hate flow through you.
You´ll see yourself. You play nice, hook everyone twice, but don´t kill them: "get rekt noob killer"
I honestly wonder how long it takes until you turn to the dark side.

Don't respect pallets, cut loops tightly, slug DS users, dribble them if close to a hook, slug when appropriate, don't tunnel unless you have to (if you see no other survivor around after a save), mind game them better when you can, if a survivor manages to spin you the first time expect it again and just get close and hit them without lunging (it's not difficult to "counter"). Just, have fun, don't pay attention to any t-bags and don't chase around "infinites"...Good luck

I've played pretty exclusive survivor since I got the game (around the Leatherface chapter) Never played to rank up, always solo, and it's just become a generally unenjoyable experience. I get so frustrated with the combination of ruin+camping+tunneling, lather, rinse repeat. It makes it a completely piss poor experience for the first survivor caught (often me). I realize that's not the killer's problem. They're doing their job. So now, I aim to be the change I want to see in the world, and have decided to switch over to team killer. Any tips? I plan on being a "fair" killer: no camping, no tunneling, respecting the 4%, no dribbling, letting a survivor who "earned it" go. That being said, I realize the survivor community can be very toxic as well. It will be an interesting experience to say the least.I wish you good luck.
Keep us updated (maybe count the matches) on when you start camping, tunneling, etc.
Basically, when you turn to the dark side, because the survivors broke you.
Btw. you couldn´t have chosen a "better" moment: rank reset! -

Most hex perks are to weak to justify them being a hex.Blueberry said:Honestly, it shouldn’t even be a hex perk for how strong it is. Make it so you get token when someone is rescued off the hook and you’re a certain distance away like make your choice. Boom so much better and it’s another perk that incentivized less camping for the survivors. Even at max stacks it’s only strong against really bad players. -

@Tsulan said: So... would you prefer to get Insidious basement camped by Leatherface? If it’s a leatherface with insidious and you’re in the basement, BBQ won’t even come close to stopping that camp
Then he's wasting a perk slot. Too bad that’s common. BBQ does very little to motivate not camping, except by people who would normally not camp anyway.
We dont nerf perks because bad players use them incorrectly. They are nerfed because good players exploit them
Billy +BBQ. Also, I was told a better nerf that’s more specified at them then just making it 3 seconds. Have aura instantly dissipate upon reaching a certain distance to the survivor, I don’t know, 36m?
If i can see you within 36 meters as billy, you are dead. Even BBQ and Billy is still counterable. Watch some rank 1 survivor mains and see what they do. Do that. People die from BBQ because they sit behind a wall and think, “yeah, Im safe if I stay here for the next minute.”
OR, Billy sees you and charges to you before the 4 seconds are over, then body block chainsaws you and tries it on the next survivor

@ShipthebreadWell, bread. Did killer press leave match, or close app? Curentally the close all fix just means you get the service of seeing WHO DC’d, that’s it. All they fixed was it sending you to main menu, you still lose your stuff.
Hmm well I never have the killer DC. Maybe stop being a toxic survivor and killers might not leave.
You’re ridiculous if you think killers are angels who just DC to toxicity. I’m not “toxic” I’ve NEVER t-bagged, they just do it when they have zero kills and gates are powered. GET OVER YOURSELF
seems like its a ''You'' problem. I never get quitting killers maybe once or twice over 20 games or so.
It’s rare so it’s not a problem!? Do you tell killers who get 4 BNP’s it’s a “you” problem!?
Yes, if it's rare that someone quits and I lose an item, I don't think it needs to be the primary focus of the game. In fact I think that balance would be more important and would help fix the DC issue. Dropping everything because you 5% of your games you lost your dark mist offering doesn't seem like a good thing to prioritize. Calm down spaz.
And a purple item, and it’s purple add ons, and the 20k, and 4 stacks of WGLF, 500 XP, pip, that I ALL RIGHTFULLY EARNED
And it’s about 20% of my games at rank 1-3
Stop playing like a toxic POS. I play same ranks, I never get DC'ed on. You probably brining in your purple insta flashlight and pissing the killers off. Yeah flashlights are ''In the game'' but don't you notice a correlation? Stop acting like a jagoff
I bring ranger kits. Stop assuming I’m toxic. I’m not. I literally main killer to rank 1 all because of this issue.
Well i don´t know how you play or how you are in RL. But here you aren´t exactly an angel.
You insulted me for not bringing up proof. But you didn´t bring up any proof yourself.
Please, calm down. -

Yes, because you had a killer DC when you had 20K 4 stacks and purple everything, 4 party streamers etc.. It's not a big issue, it rarely happens unless you play like Ochido fangirl. Relax take a deep breath.
I think, the more you tell him to relax, the worse it gets.
