Just out of curiosity, isn't farming against the games rules ? I'm sure you can report people for it ? I used to bond with survivors to get killer dailies done, but I don't do it anymore, because being banned is bad.I think the farming the report system refers to is an old system killers used to farm points and pips: basically they used a macro or a bot (that's why in the picture there is a farmer robot) or something to keep spamming M1 and if survivors allowed to be hit to farm Boldness and Altruism the killer could get a lot of points and pips by not playing the game at all.
Yeah, it refers to that. If all people are included in the farming, there is nothing to report.
BUT if you team up with the killer to farm someone who doesn´t wants to farm. Then, thats reportable. -

Have you tried playing with Freddy? Flashlights can´t do much to him, unless the flashlight users are in the dreamworld. Freddy is weaker than Billy, but since no one uses him on high rank, survivors don´t know how to react to him.I understand where you are coming from, but Freddy is just far to weak ( right now at least ) to to much of anything. Tbh even if freddy would have helped the flashlight situation, it would have made the looping situation worse
Freddy requires a different approach. With him you can do hit and run attacks. Use M&A, hit them and leave. Since they are still in the dreamworld, you can track them easily and see when they stop to heal or someone tries to wake them up. That´s the moment to strike.

It's not holding the game hostage. And the slow has been tested and was heavily abused.
OP, if Leatherface camps someone, just do gens.
If you are the guy being camped... give your team as much time as possible if they do gens.
If they camp the hook, then let yourself die. So the others don't waste any more time. -

Because it makes surviving harder and still messes with their precious stealth. Remember, it needs to be braindead easy for a Survivor to escape.
Exactly! They should bring infinite’s back too. Camping is killing this game

High ranked is worst. all gens done by the time you hook the second person, hence every killer takes NOED at high ranked unless they want to lose
true. i have a new appreciation for what killers endure and i am not surprised they camp/tunnel. every "main" should play the opposite role for a couple hours a week. there would probably be less toxicity.Every player should reach at least rank 5 on both sides. (Only works sometimes- but those times can be deadly)This might work against rank 20 survivors. But the ones i play against, use their self heal to wake up.
I really wouldn´t recommend Insidious on Freddy. Try Monitor&Abuse. You´ll get better results. -

I played Doctor, Hag, Hillbilly, and Shape when I was high ranked; The trick I found was to sometimes NOT hook a downed survivor. Or NOT chase an injured survivor sometimes.

The upcoming changes are going into the right direction. Survivors get what they want (more chases) by giving everyone aura reading perks.SovererignKing said:
The problem is, and always has been Looping sadly. After Patch 1.4.0 changed the Survivors hit boxes to be smaller, allowing for the tight loops hugging objects so the could in effect negate the Killer’s base higher movement speed of 15% for a short time, (about 10-15 seconds Looping 2-3 times) at nearly every single Pallet, it literally broke the game at a fundamental level. The low Gen time of 80 seconds just does not allow for it to be so simple and easy to waste that much time per Pallet.Tsulan said:
I agree. First survivors complained about camping. They wanted the devs to punish camping killers with temporary or even permanent bans.SovererignKing said:Well, if Survivors didn’t ask for it, BBQ wouldn’t exist.

As they themselves stated “Hiding and just doing gens is boring. We want to be chased all game, that’s what’s fun!” This of course was nothing more than a lie. Being chased all game isn’t fun, or else Survivors wouldn’t complain about being tunneled. It was just a lie and an excuse to protect Looping to keep it in the game, because it’s such an overpowered mechanic. They also complained about camping, of course.
So, the developers gave them what they wanted. Incentive for the Killer to leave so they don’t camp, and “be chased all game, because that’s what’s fun” by making it hard to hide with BBQ giving away your position.
Sad fact is, BBQ is balanced. It’s balanced around the Survivor meta of not hiding, just Looping. Which is bullshit. I’d be more than happy for BBQ to get deleted, if Looping didn’t exist. It’s *almost* at the point of “Loop or die” in DBD. I don’t like it anymore than you do, but that’s the direction DBD is headed thanks to Survivors who humped the meta so hard, the developers had to leave Looping in the game and balance the game around it.
Now the very same survivors complain about BBQ.
Never mind buildings that allow for HUGE loops like Coal Tower, Ironworks, or the Killer shack with the God Pallet.
They should have just got rid of Looping and focused on Stealth. They listened to the wrong players. Now I’m afraid it’s too late to turn back.
And killers get finally some love. -
Survivors got used to unhook right under his nose. Because of the long transition time. 7 seconds is half a BT. Which also triggers if Freddy was close. Honestly, the nerf bbq needs is simple, just take off a second, make it 3 seconds of aura. You realize that the 4 seconds start during the hooking animation. Which means the killer has less than 3 actual seconds to look around.
Your proposal wouldn't give a killer enough time to do a 360.I really don't understand your logic.
If the killer can't see survivors, he'll assume that all survivors are close. Thus making a save rescue impossible. Since he'll camp and search close by.The whole purpose of BBQ is to give the killer a reason to leave the hook.
You realize you’re wrong, and it actually activated the second the survivor is in “hook state”, and the only reason that could happen to you is your ######### internet.

I try to tell people that stuff for ages, and even tho I still got 9 double pip in a row today with her at rank 1, people won't believe anyway.
So yes, Hag is strong, M&A is super strong, and her black skin makes her even harder to spot. But whatever, she's unpopular so she'll get a buff so Mr.Casual can eventually try to have fun/Buy her before getting back to a more braindead killer.
Unpopular opinion ahead:
I think every killer can be effective. Even at high ranks. Different killers allow different tactics. But since most casual players will only use what popular streamers use, they won't find out.The problem with Hag and Trapper is, their traps can be nullified by a SWF team or someone who shadows the killer and disables the traps.
M&A seems to be bugged right now. I noticed some very inconsistent terror radius when facing killers that used it. One second you have no heartbeat. Then you have loud heartbeat + music like he's standing right next to you, then silence again.
M&A isn't bugged.
They introduced "progressive" terror radius sound with the Pig/insidious patch.
So, as a killer, if you quickly walk toward your target directly, the "terror radius music" won't come out before the killer is actually REALLY close already due to that.
That's also why perks such as Unnerving presence makes you very easy to spot, and why Stake out is pretty decent in that meta because it tells you when you're in the radius as soon as you're actually in.Just equip stake out, I tried it out for a week. You'll notice it starts charging before you even hear the TR, and stops charging before the TR stops.

I agree. He's the easiest killer to stealth before he found you. I've lost countless survivors, when 2 worked a gen and I transitioned 1 often I wouldn't find the second one. Simply because they were not running but hiding really well.thesuicidefox said:@Mrrgle_the_Mediocre said:
Freddy is no fun to fight if you're a Survivor who likes Stealth like me, because you can't easily hide from him and once you're in the Dream World there is no hiding, just running. But that's no reason for RANK 2 Survivors to call you a cheater, lmao.He can be stealthed, it's really hard but it can be done. Freddy can't see ######### in dream world, so you can actually hide in spots you couldn't normally from other killers. Anywhere really dark, literally the edge of the map (bc Freddy has to be like 12m from the wall to see it clearly). You have to know where he is though which is the really tricky part. I usually just think to myself "If I was just over there what path would I take to get to here?" then just kinda assume that direction is "unsafe" and go in the opposite direction. It works most of the time. If he ever is not chasing you, then you should just run to a gen and try to wake up, and as soon as you do leave (unless you know he won't be coming to you, ie. he is chasing someone else).
You have to keep in mind that when you are awake you are a lot harder to see. It's like putting darkest moonlight and purple fog together on every killer, with added blur and particle effects. If you never played a game with the moonlight offerings go try a KYF game. You will get a much better idea of how to hide from Freddy when awake.

You were using NOED, Ebony Mori and the best Freddy add-ons, so your "research" kinda thing is a bit shifted from the get go. You dont get to use that every single match. It's like using Nurse with 5 blinks for 1 game and showing how "broken" she is and uploading a screenshot how you 4 K'd with survivors having 5k points in total.
The purple add-on gives me 0.5 seconds of faster dreamworld transition in comparison with the yellow one (the yellow one has the drawback of a higher skill check chance).
I wouldn't call those add-ons op.
A few days ago a survivor main complained on the forum (don't remember if steam or this one), that whilst survivors use insta heals, BNP and odd bulb. The killers rarely use everything at their disposal. I'm using everything. Moris exactly to counter last second switch or to get rid of DS users. -

Google tunnelling in the urban dictionary.
You are in for a surprise what tunnelling is. -
It´s because many survivor mains switched to killer. Because they think they get more BPs this way. Which is plain wrong. They see the raw BPs per match and think that the killer gains more.
If a survivor plays a match until the end, he gets the same points as the killer (if they are active).
If a survivor dies early, they get to the next match quickly. Thus gaining more points per hour than the killer. -

lol come on now, someone dumb enough to basement camp with Insidious is going to do it whether they have BBQ or not.
I play both sides, I think the main problem with BBQ is the same as Tinkerer, sure it helps certain killers, but it can be too strong on others. Yeah it’s great for Leatherface or Trapper to let them see where they should go next. But on killers like Billy or Nurse or even Huntress it almost breaks them because it’s so good.
I wish they they could somehow tweak it so BBQ isn’t as strong on some killers as others. I love the BP boost, but it makes Billy games so easy.
Survivors could use their Sprint Burst to run into a different direction, after BBQ triggered.
Everything is better than hiding on the same spot.
Neither Billy nor the Nurse can cover the 40 meters in 4 seconds. They can approach the spot, but survivors still have enough time to evade them. -
