It should destroy the item is that what you want?

No, I was not actually wanting that, but now that you mention it, sure.

Imagine the devs taking @feffrey serious and adding his ridiculous proposals.

There doesn't seem to be much difference between tiers 1,2 and 3. Survivors don't treat it with much respect they just go back and pick up the item. I think it's time it got a little buff?

It got nerfed because it originally had 20% on hit.
    Survivors didn´t like that.

Ok so I guess making it to 5 while barely playing killer in a season is sooo hard , sorry I don’t fall into loop games or chase the obsession the whole time only to get d strike , you lost all credibility when you complain about the most recent buff you got while survivors got nerfed, are you that terrible that you still can’t do good after a buff?

Rank doesnt mean anything sadly. Piping is extremely easy for both sides. Piping as killer only gets hard once you reached high rank
I managed to get rank 1 survivor in my first month trying btw

You can win without either killing or surviving. How odd.

You can blackpip with 4 kills and you can pip without any kill. Yeah its really odd and I dont like it tbh

The emblems don't have different killers and play styles in mind. They try to force a certain play style, which doesn't go well with every killer.

Emblems need a rework. Just the same way, they made it easier for survivors to pip.

Most of the survivors (including myself) haven´t noticed the nerf. Since it only affects a really tiny part of the survivor community.

Yea it really doesn’t affect me because I don’t run exhaustion perks or loop the killer all day but to whine when you just got a buff is why I said that to him, I see people suggesting things or offering advice then we have these types who cry cry cry all day

What´s wrong about suggesting changes? It´s a forum. So people can express their opinion and talk about things that bother them.

Trapper got some add-on buffs and can set his traps faster. But he still is only mid tier.

There's actually quite a few on this very forum from some killer mains, but usually it's used by killers insulting a survivor who was stealthy. I usually gt it from both killers and survivors when I use it during a match. Because I don't run around blindly in full view of the killer like a chicken with it's head chopped off.

How dare you! Not running around like a headless chicken...

Depends on your definition of tunneling. If the killer is actively chasing you for all five gens and ignoring everybody else then facecamping you when all five gens are done and YOU get more points than the killer does then they are salty in the chat afterward, that is plain toxicity. However if the killer winds up chasing you after you gy unhooked, meh...could be considered tunneling but you’re the easiest target. Kind of a scummy move to target one person over and over again but it’s the easiest to do.

Why is it scummy to play well?

Well I guess it isn’t really scummy but targeting the same person over and over again and hooking them three times in a row while everybody else gets generators done isn’t really smart. Just seems more like bullying one survivor. Unless it is the obsession and you have Dying Light it doesn’t make much sense, even then tunneling one survivor will probably lead to the rest of the survivor pushing through generator quickly. Then killers wonder will the targeted survivor DC’s 🤷🏼‍♂️
A few days ago I had a match as Freddy where survivors hook rushed and unhooked right under my nose.
Afterwards they complained about me tunnelling.
  • Fun fact: MLGA was allowed by the devs, because it gave survivors am overall better gaming experience.
But then they started adding killers to the block list for playing Freddy, because they used perk X or simply because it was a skilled killer.
Which resulted in longer queues for everyone, since MLGA users shared the block list.
That's where the devs took it off the white list.

So now, use it at your own risk.

It’s literally survivors trump to dodging. Only reason killers are host is because it’s simple, and cheap, don’t let it get to your head.

Actually no it's a cowards way to play. Killers dodge, no doubt, but when you get the one killer that doesn't dodge that actually means something. It means he won't be a pushover, he sees your p3 Claudette with a flashlight. He knows it's purple and you have DS. He doesn't care, he hits 'ready up' anyway.

You want killer that are pushover. You want the ones that would normally dodge you because you know that killer won't be as good as the one that doesn't dodge.

And if you don't want to be constantly dodged don't bring a flashlight, especially if someone else has one. Really, why do you need it EXCEPT to harass the killer. Throw up a purple coin and go looking for one in a chest. With Plunderer's you are almost guaranteed a flashlight, usually a green one.

Fully agree this one.. If I play killer and see that, I'm even more motivated to kill them. If I play survivor on the other hand, i picked a normal dwight with no items and if i switch to the naked david skin with flashlight (at 40 seconds to prepare) the killer dodges... There should be a punish for killers dodging, like 15 minutes ban of playing killer or something like that.

@Tsulan btw, try to use the edit button on the top right of your post instead of making 3 post behind each other

The notification system doesnt work right. Just saw this comment out of sheer luck...

Bans for dodging? That´s insane! The moment i get a temp ban for dodging someone with a 500+ ping, is the moment i leave the game for good.

BTW, survivors got their beloved SWF mode only because they lobby dodged until they got into the same lobby as their friends.

Make a setting "Only join lobbies with <150 Ping", where you can set the maximum ping on your own (like in all other games where you can search for servers). Then you should be temp banned for dodging it (survivors and killers)

Doesn't work like this. The ping in the lobby fluctuates when the killer checks the profiles. This could result in auto kick if he checks the moment someone tries to join.

The whole high ping issue only exists, because the devs removed region lock last October. In an attempt to decrease survivor lobby queues. Since no one was playing killer and survivors had queues of 45+ minutes.

Now what's better. Playing with a ping of 250+ or waiting 45+ minutes for 1 lobby (only to get dodged).

Looping isn't even that strong anymore. Its more about the second chance perks and looping infinites for survivors.

For killers, camping is still too strong. It was always one of the best strategies to 4k (proxy/bait camp first guy, win the 1vs3) and it singlehandedly wins low-mid rank games. I really believe, after the recent survivornerfs, that the base hooktime needs to be increased.

Could you elaborate on how the recent survivor nerfs have either decreased the loop or increased the camping? I must have missed those patchnotes...

In 2.0 palletvacuum got removed. Really big deal (no sarcasm)

Also double pallets got removed earlier this year.

Camping didnt get changed. Thats the whole problem.

Pallets are about to get a huge buff, so let's see how that plays out in PTB.  I think it is going to make last-second pallet drops far less likely to result in a hit.

Camping didnt get changed. Thats the whole problem.

Pallet vacuum was just survivors teleporting to the other end of the pallet while dropping it. Killers got their pickup vacuum removed at the same time. Which makes it easier to hit them, when they try to pick someone up who is under a pallet.
Double pallets still exist. The reduced number of pallets only affected a few maps (by 1 less pallet) but increased the pallets on most maps.

Killers got more perks that give them an incentive to leave the hook like BBQ and MYC. So camping has indeed cosiderably decreased.

Palletvacuum was a HUGE distance gain for looping and that got removed. Its a really noticable nerf, so i dont know why you want to ignore that. It was one of the most impactful changes for dbd.

The pickup vacuum was balanced with reduced pick up time. Fine by me, makes no difference tbh

Double pallet setups do not exist, except the minimum amount of pallets havent spawned, then they can fill up double pallet setups. And pallets have been decreased in general. There are no pallet spawns for double pallet setups regularly, which didnt happen before 2.0

Indeed. Pallet vacuum was a huge thing. It gave survivors a huge advantage over killers. While requiring little to no skill to use them. Turning guaranteed hits into a miss. Looping is still possible, but not as rewarding as it was before. Since back then, the survivor got the best of everything. No risk during looping, save pallets and easy points for hitting the killer. Now they have to time it a little better. But i don´t see a problem as survivor. Pallets were never meant to be save.

I cant believe we played with vacuum for 2 years. So unbalanced and unrealistic.
I dont see palletlooping as problem for killers either, they're pretty balanced. The only remaining problem are too many safe pallets, but thats often map specific. Red forest or shelter woods only consist of safe pallet setups. Wouldn't hurt to bring in more variety or rework some safe pallets. That requires a lot of work though,.... soon.

I think the vacuum was introduced with patch 1.4.
Pallets are only part of a bigger problem. The differences in hit (or collision) boxes of killers and survivors. Also killers accelerate slower than survivors. This combination gives survivors which hug obstacles a speed advantage over the usually faster killer + relativly safe pallets.

Few survivors know how to juke the killer. Lose line of sight and vanish. I have a lot of respect for survivors which can do this. But it´s hard to learn and running in circles is way easier. So most people just do that.

The problem with increased hook time is, that the killer doesn´t has enough time as of now. Gens get repaired to fast and a camping killer loses, because survivors just rush the gens. If you give survivors more time on the hook, the killer will only get 1 kill at max during a match. Survivors don´t feel pressured to unhook and can keep on doing gens. All while the killer feels the pressure during the whole match, because he can´t protect all gens at the same time.

Last time i watched a horror movie, it was the victim that felt pressured and not the killer.

  • You can avoid her traps by crouching. They won´t trigger. Also you can use a flashlight to disarm them. If you use a flashlight and traps are nearby, they are highlighted, so you can disarm them by pointing the flashlight beam at them.

  • @feffrey said:
I don't get why most killers resort to tunneling because they see a flashlight but that's if they don't DC like most.
The ones that dont DC  all run staple builds running NOED,Franklin's,BBQ,Iron grasp....
    So original.
Lol The best part is when you juke one and loop him into a pallet just to hit em with the flashlight and run off behind him..

Watch that fool spin around in circles looking for you like a moron lol I love doing that and jumping in their face afterwards just to repeat what I did to them

Do you even read the answers of your thread? Because people explained it to you several times. Or are you just baiting?
Flashlights are usually the greatest threat. They turn themselves into a primary objective, because they can flashlight save. To avoid this, they get downed first.
Oh and that build is terrible. I would only use it, if i have just those 4 perks.

  • A mixture of luck and experience. Older killers are used to search for survivors without BBQ. So they check gens. If the gen has been progressed, the killer knows that there is probably someone nearby.

  • @S0ckenSchuss said:
As a main killer i dont have a problem with the surv perks. if i expect a Strike, i plan the usage of it already in my tactics. so i hunt obsession first, lift her/him up and hope he waste the strike at the early game. so its done for the rest of the match. most times that strike just gives the surv 10 more seconds to run until i catch him again, maybe 15 if Dead hard is also active. Also i dont have a problem with any other perk that survs use. I also have perks to find them. So they can use perks to hide better or whatever. no problem.

My main problems as killer are good jukers (dont missunderstand, i pay respect for everyone who is able to juke a killer for a long time) - but i dont like jukers that teabag, and run around the same obstacle over and over again. i like a great and long hunt if its diversified.

And a main problem are the hex perks. that totem spawns are obvious almost every time and the hex totems dont live long. so i also got taken one perk away for the rest of the match. thats more bad then every perk a surv have.

This tactic can backfire. If the obsession with DS knows how to loop, then you´ll have to ignore that survivor for the rest of the game. Or face the consequence that you´ll lose 3-5 gens only to get him.

  • @ZombieGenesis said:
I genuinely love that when a killer suggest a change to something to make their lives easier in any way, shape, or form the answer from survivors is always the same: Just run these 8 perks, break the pallet, stop chasing that survivor, and now...just chase survivors while running backwards. EZ PZ

The mindgames! Killers have to mindgame survivors which have third person view and also see the red stain.
There is no mindgame. There is just someone with a better vision vs someone with a limited vision.
To really create mindgames, the survivors should play in first person like the killer and killers shouldn´t have a red stain. But unless the devs create a hardcore mode, this won´t happen.

I would give killers the possibility to mori survivors once they have been downed 3 or 4 times without getting hooked. Counter would reset on hook.

That's a lotta' damage. It'd be impressive if someone manages to down someone four times but can't get them to a hook once. It's not that hard to get rid of blockers.

I've always liked the idea of a perk that gives you instant downs while carrying a survivor when 3/2/1 survivor(s) are within 16m. Adds some risk to it. You could save a teammate, but it might backfire.

We are talking about a anti bully mechanic here. We could add additional prequesites. But every killer has experienced this situation, where you can down a survivor, but you can´t reach the hook because of DS, flashlights, pallets, body blocks and/or sabotage.

Flashlights are a non issue these days. You can face a wall to hard counter a flashlight save, and with how tight the angles are and how fast the pickup animation is now, the only way someone could reasonably make a save is if you're in the open and they're already right there.

But if there's multiple people there, I'll just drop them and start swinging.

Flashlight saves are still possible. OP is talking about a bully squad. So they are closeby.

  • @Peasant said:
I like this idea a lot actually. Sacrificing 1 perk slot to add more uses to other perks is okay with me. After all since the survivors will have used it (Unbreakable perhaps?) once before the killer will know they have it and prepare accordingly.

I think all support perks need a huge buff. If someone wants to use Botany Knowledge and Prove Thyself to boost his Self Care to the same speed as a normal Medikit, then he should be able to do it. After all, he sacrifices 3 perks just for healing.

Fix something that doesn't work as intended? Ok. Fix something that counters your gamestyle or makes you angry? Deal with it.
There are killer perks or op killers like the doctor (who can make you scream from far away and not even being targered by him) that i personally find quite annoying, but you won't see me asking for them to be removed or nerfed. Sadly doesn't happen the same with some killer mains.

Doctor is OP now? So no more Nurse on rank 1? Cool!

Nurse is op too, but everyone knows that and i tried to provide something new. A killer that does that and also easier to miss any kind of skill check when close or huge terror radious.
Also funny when many killers say survivors should play stealthy but Doctor obviously doesn't let you do that

Doctor lets you only scream if you lvl up madness or if you are in madness 3. So it is very much possible to stealth against him. Just watch your feet. If you see a static field, go hide in a locker (you´ll see the field long before you hear the heartbeat).

Or better, being crouched and not moving should be a counter to leveling up madness without being targeted, just the same thing to do to level it down.

So electroshocks don´t work if you crouch...
    The secret weapon against tazers!

I said when not being targeted, shock therapy would work anytime if hits you

But that´s the whole point of his passive. It´s like Freddy not being able to see sleeping survivors out of his terror radius.

Doctor is Mid tier. He needs a overhaul that focuses more on mind ######### the survivors and less on making them scream.

There's no point in arguing with this rank 20 survivor main. There's no helping those who don't want helped.

Lets just sit back and laugh when he makes another post tomorrow crying about losing again or that Freddy is OP.

And there is no point in arguing with killers who are afraid of loosing their rank, to actually have fun anymore.

When was the last time anyone played freddy? they are all to busy trying to win.

Last night I had 4 matches as Freddy.
In one of them 3 survivors disconnected because I didn't went to pickup the downed survivor, but went instead for the flashlight wielder who was waiting nearby.

i think hes ok. i have seen some bad ones and some good ones. i dont see him very often at rank1

He plays different than most killers. But yes, i had surprisingly little problems with him on rank 1.

I didn't say anything about how often i see the doctor, just talked about another killer instead of the typical one.
And no, it's obvious that some killers complain about different stuff than other ones. I'm saying that those perks have been mentioned more than once and by more than one killer, not ALL of them.

in the same way that survivor mains find annoyingly pedantic things to also complain about? Such as the change to the pickup speed.

...or think that being able to defend against a flashlight blind by pressing R is an exploit.

If you get looped with Freddy, you're playing him wrong. He's perfect for breaking the chase and coming back when survivors don't expect it.

Especially with Insidious 3, go around a corner once they break line of sight, wait a short while and surprise them.

Freddy is probably the only Killer who can use insidious somewhat aggressively, it also helps if a sleeping survivor is within your TR.

Be warned that some survivors will wait at pallets till the end of days so you might wanna go before it backfires.

I use M&A and let them wait at the pallet. When i see they go to a gen or stop for healing, i come back. Going for anything else in the meantime.

No, but they like to dc on me, when their last second switch to 4 flashlights doesn't work out. Really strange. Like they didn't expect me to avoid the flashlight blinds by facing a wall.

It's a really weak perk, nobody uses. Making it permanent wouldn't be OP. Or have you tried using it?
My idea would be to make it permanent and give a small reduction to the terror radius, that stacks with M&A. Or maybe decreases the terror radius during a chase.

It's a perk that helps in a chase by removing your red stain. If you want to jumpscare then use Insidious (which should be changed too, but that should be the designated jump scare perk).

So, tell me. When was the last time you used this perk?

Threads die quickly when asked to stay on topic in my experience but besides, i don't want to be a mod, not that i think i'd do a horrible job.

I just enjoy being a clown on this forum once in a while.

Speaking of Clowns, where is the clown profile picture? Its been months.
Devs stick to it. No clowns!
  • We are not pleased with the direction this game from behavior takes. So we buy another game from behavior and play that instead. This will teach them.

I haven't played deathgarden and I don't plan on doing so, because the prerelease trailers look exactly the same. We get promised one this and got delivered another on DbD. Maybe it's different on deathgarden, maybe not. But I sure as hell won't fall for the same trap.
  • People play with high ping, because they can't find any other games. Game plays fine until 250 ping. After that you can notice the lag. It's possible to play with higher ping, but the survivor will teleport like a nurse.
  • A logic question to survivor mains.
If you see 2 gens. One is at 90% and regressing and the other one is untouched. Which one would you start to repair?

The usual biased complaint with 0 arguments, stating facts that never existed. "lol, killers complaint about UE"

Now now even on these very forums some killers have complained about UE and I get insulted whenever I decide to run it on a freshly prestiged toon. Which is ironic when they use Insidious as a Wraith.

Insidious on Wraith? He has a add-on for that. Wasted perk slot.

  • Killers want a balanced game. A horror game where the killer is feared and survivors don't hold the power role.
Killers don't want to run for hours in circles. Which was never a planned feature, unlike camping.

Every time a killer asks for killer buffs, survivors act like killers want free handouts.
  • Why hasn't this thread been shut down? I don't see this going anywhere productive. This will only end in insults.

OP, could you post a detailed list of all the perks that have been taken away from you? Maybe we can find them together.
  • @Tsulan said:
I think Beast of Prey should permanently remove the red stain.
That would make this useless perk finally useful.

What if the red stain disappeared for X time after you hit someone? That would be a lot more balanced, as long as you can't stack it to keep the red stain gone and it just comes back X time after that first hit.

It's a really weak perk, nobody uses. Making it permanent wouldn't be OP. Or have you tried using it?
