I like this idea the only problem would be splitting the player base and lobby times would be a hassle. I do feel casual mode would be where all the killers wanting 4ks and the survivors wanting to be toxic would go.

And this would be any different than the game we have right now?
My idea of a casual mode would be more forgiving for new players. Or people that play just casually.
Like more hook stages, save unhook zone, more gens, bigger skill check zones, fewer perks (no DS or RUIN for example), etc.
All to have a good time, even if you die first.

Now I'm not going to say everything about totems is perfect, but every other post I see has someone claiming Hex: Ruin is a must use perk. So staying as objective as possible, I don't think they're that bad. I'm totally down for some better totem spots, with TOTH, it's fairly easy to keep tabs on it.

Equip TOTH, Ruin, Devour Hope and Huntress Lullaby. Take the Hag and try to defend your totems as long as possible against SWF.
Check your blood pressure before you start. Then again after the match.
But please take your medicine first, if you suffer from high blood pressure.
Then tell us about your experience.

I call it the heart attack challenge.
I personally can't play more than 3 matches with this setup.

Originally to prevent mass cheating. Nowadays it just prevents you from saving up a ridiculous amount of bloodpoints and skipping an entire prestige, or to instantly P3-50 any new character that's released.

and why is that a bad thing if I may ask? Say, I bought a character. Why wouldn't I be allowed to invest 4 million bloodpoints at once to get the max potential out of my purchase? I don't see any logical reason here, so please enlighten me :)

This change was made waaaaay before I joined the team (I was just a mod at the time), so I'm just spitballing here. If you could save up massive amounts of points and instantly P3-50 a new chapter, that would take a lot of the fun out of it. I know it's cool to knock the grind, but at the same time, that grind gives a lot of people goals to work towards and a reason to keep coming back. I'm guilty of this in most games I play. I can be having fun, but once I reach the max level and have nothing left to do, it just starts to feel a little empty, like nothing you do matters.

So to get back to the original question, if someone were able to save up a ton of bloodpoints and instantly finish a chapter, it could feel very underwhelming. Then they're left waiting for another 3-4 months waiting for new content because they just blew through the last one. Pacing, I guess.

Also gotta' keep in mind that it doesn't change how fast you accumulate BP. You're still getting them at the same rate. The only difference is that you can't skip through progressing something, you can only go part way.

Right... Because it would take the fun out of the chapter... So a chapter ends when someone p3 a char...
BTW. is there a limit on Auric Cells? I mean, by the same logic, it would take the fun out of a chapter if i can unlock all skins instantly...

There is absolute no logic reason for a bloodpoint limit right now. Please let players decide what to do with their bloodpoints.

The power role should be the one allowed to make the most mistakes.

Perhaps it is so. But not in a game. Games should be balanced for both sides. Would it be ok if, for instance, there are two teams, Red and Blue. From the lore, you know Red team is the most powerful. So you give players in the Red team the ability to one shot everybody, while those unlucky enough to be in Blue team have to hit them 5 times? Not at all.

The red team should be able to one shot the blue team. But unfortunately the blue team is able to bully the red team right now. Because the red team is not powerful enough. Since for a strange reason, even tho red is a single player, blue can 1vs1 him.
  • Funny how people complain about survivor nerfs being to much for solo survivors. But when someone wants to reduce SWF, then everyone is suddenly a SWF player.

Yeah, we get it. You only enjoy this game if you can gang up on the killer with your friends.
No, SWF isn't going anywhere. Because you can only enjoy this game with your friends.
But you won't let the devs nerf SWF or survivors, since it would be to much for the 33 solo survivors around the world.

How about special killer perks for SWF. They won't take up normal perk slots. But give killers an advantage against SWF. For example reverse BBQ. Where you see every swf survivor within a certain range after hooking. Or kill your friends, where 1 friend is chosen at random, and if that one tries to unhook his friend, he kills him.

  • Let me just snap you out of your kindness high to remind you that these nice players are a minority. And having a proximity chat would kill this game.

I'm also having a bit of doubt towards the OP. From the sounds of hit he enjoys when killers let him and others go so they have easier times. To me this just screams amateur killer. Personally to me, good killers are those that strive to be the best and give no quarter. That's what I strive to be when playing this game. This then results in survivors getting salty and of course spouting their toxic bullshit that we're all used to.

Edit: I know this is gonna end in people replying to me with anger and impoliteness but whatevs :P

Oh I'm aware of that. I was one of those nice killers that farmed with survivors when only 2 loaded into the match. I let them get points and escape. In return I mostly got insults and reports. Yes, survivors are not really grateful and deserve everything that comes their way.
  • I assume you're a new player.
Things you can do to avoid getting camped:
    - don't start directly with the repair of the gen. Wait 30 seconds before even touching it.
    - don't run everywhere. The killer can see scratch marks when you run.
    - if the killer camps you, move a lot on the hook to signalize others that he's camping.
    - if the killer camps, just do gens.
    - equip Borrowed Time to unhook camped survivors

    Hope this helps

The things I've found out about killers is that they're more then equipped to handle any sisuation all it takes is sacrifice and patience

do not always go into chase just watch their movements and once you find the weak survivor( usually the one who runs in a straight line) use him as a hostage and play with him a bit.
he will lead you to his team so when you down him he can be saved run lightborn tier 3 and eat that flashlight and slug him in his face

That rank 20 match must have been tense...

The SWF had two rank 2 survivors a rank 10 and a rank 8

but their movements were to easy to predict even with Urban.. actually the Kate that had Urban would easily get away if I didn't have a headset and if she ran far from me.

she stated close and tried to do a gen

Self care healing went up by 8s and that is significant.

Everyone who is complaining is overreacting.

Slugging is not a ######### mechanic. It is almost the only mechanic that good killers use.

I don't like to be the doom guy but if they really nerf slugging and the slug meta ends, good killers will not play the game anymore. In their wake, other killers will protest too.

I said it's ######### because it's not fun. It's pointlessly tedious. I would be impressed if they somehow managed to make crawling fun.

There is no slug meta. Killers don't slug unless it's to prevent the hatch. If you watched the QA, you'll know that slugging for the hatch is no longer necessary.

I don't know what rank you play at, but there must be less than 1% of killers using a slug build at Rank 1.

A quick google search you'll find an urban dictionary definition of it:

    "Sweaty Tryhard:

A gamer who takes video games way too seriously, as if $1 million are on the line. The term comes from how some gamers get so intense while playing, that they actually start sweating. They are often found in MOBAs like League of Legends and DOTA, but can also be found in various first person shooters.

If you make even one mistake while playing, a sweaty tryhard will yell at you and call you a *** for it. Instead of trying to help their teammates and give them tips on getting better, they will just insult their teammates for making mistakes. If the sweaty tryhard's team loses, they will blame their teammates 99% of the time, rather than looking at themselves to see what they could have done better.

Sweaty tryhards act like they are pro gamers and feel like they must win every single game, instead of just enjoying the game and not worrying about winning or losing, especially if they are playing by themselves and not with an organized team."
