I have a hard time believing mods do not give information to those responsible for balancing, about how people are reacting on the forums.
U say this like I said they dont. It's up to the devs what they want to add or not. Targeting out a mod isnt doing u anything

Seems a lot of people responsible for this this game prefer survivor more. Makes a lot of sense when you see how bad playing killer feels.
Yes because the mod is responsible for balancing the game for killers therefore they must play more killer because they have no idea what it is like to play killer

Don't normally see the mods respond with such knowledge about playing killer.
Maybe they pefer survivor more. Just because they are a mod doesnt mean they have complete knowledge over every little thing for both sides.

Always have the same basement spawn? I think there are always at least 2 different spawns, normal and killer shack.
What @LordGlint said
-
The idea is interesting but there are a few other maps with only 1 basement. I believe shelter woods and rotten fields only have 1 basement. I dont think they would add it if it doesnt apply to everyone but I do like the idea
-
Why does the hitbox for the killer disappear when they vault, which allow for things such as the window tech to be used.

Tbh, I'd want them to receive the Freddy treatment.
I don't think he needs all of that imo. Just a few qol changes and a couple of add ons reworked and changed. Though I would not mind if he got the freddy treatment, I just don't see it entirely necessary

This idea sounds very interesting and creative. I like it

I do agree with some of your statements. Yes, I wish the forums would be a better place. I would say I am more sided with the killer POV, but when I am disagreeing with someone, I try to bring up the past updates, videos, ect with my argument, not just be pissy and say stuff like "your trash, git gud".
But, the main thing I do disagree with is the the hate that people are giving to the devs. Not all of them are bad, mind you, but the approaches they have taken are starting to backfire in the community.
For a time, there have been problems on both sides of the spectrum, and instead of trying to fix it in the game, they give a perk for it instead. A couple examples are:
Camping: borrowed time
Tunneling: DS
Lots of pallets: spirit fury
Slower killers: PWYF
There are more, but I just wanted to give a small sample.
Well, against solo survivor teams, I agree that this is alright.
But for swf, the only really good slowdown perk was ruin (for early game), and now there is nothing that 90% of killers can do. Billy is the only killer, IMO, that can apply any early game pressure atm. Not even Nurse can do it as well.
Killers have been begging for something, but ruin was the only thing they had. Now, there isnt anything. On top of that, after the community put in feedback for the PTB, one of the devs made a post saying that killers are wrong, and on another post agreeing with someone saying that killers that use ruin aren't good enough to be in red ranks.
I agree that constructive criticism is needed to the community, but I do not feel bad on some of the dev team.
I hadn't viewed it like that. That makes a lot more sense to me now

You must be new to the game. You clearly don't know the full history of their PR, among other shenanigans.
I think that when a game developer has never released an update that didn't break at least three things, some of those things STILL being broken to this very day after years, they deserve what they get.
I'm not new but I wouldn't consider myself veteran. Been playing since clown release. I can understand the annoyance of stuff breaking. It's probably because everything is connected and changing one thing will mess up another. But the hatred people have for them and the blame is over the top...

tell me a killer perk that can have the same impact of adrenaline, decisive strike, dead hard or unbreakable.
Omg stop making it one of those posts. They are clearly talking about how there are more weak survivor perks than killer. Which for the most part is true. At least for killer they are different with there different powers. So if a survivor has bad perks they are useless.

I play xbox and it's very rare but I've seen nurses that are crazy good. I'd put her at top across the board

I am confident given the data we have that Pig does not need a buff. As stated before, there are a few weird things to fix, but not specifically to make her more powerful.
We can't go into huge detail about the information we have on this because it becomes too large a discussion.
Recall I am a Pig main... I promise I am not trying to keep her down just for the hell of it. :D
I agree. I play pig plenty and she does not feel weak. Many things that people complain about are small annoyances such as the ambush noise or the traps.
Imo the traps coming off first try happens less times then people think. I agree in the future she should get a small qol update whenever she gets her addons rework that u mentioned earlier, but that would most likely be low priority. As of now, I believe she is fine for the most part as she is

"My Turn To Be Survivor" or "Why Won't Anyone Heal Me?" - Meme Build
Legion w/ Stab Wounds Study, Stolen Sketch Book
Dark Devotion, Play With Your Food, Dying Light, Discordance
"I'm Turtle You're Hare" - Meme Build
Legion w/ Iridescent Button, Stab Wounds Study
NOED, Blood Warden, Blood Echo, Rancor (or Remember Me / Fire Up)
"Red Legion" - Competitive Build
Legion w/ Stolen Sketch Book, Iridescent Button (or Legion Pin)
Thanatophobia, Nurses Calling, Pop Goes the Weasel, Surveillance (or Discordance)
I'm still working on my sweaty build for Legion. I'm not sure which is better Discordance or Surveillance, and if I should just drop Nurses for something else. I've been testing the new Ruin on them, but the totem still get's cleansed in the first 20 seconds of the game 9 times out of 10. So yeah play around with it if you want, go with whatever makes you feel most comfortable running. Thana, and Pop are really the only ones I would guarantee to take on Legion in a sweaty build.
I would say it depends on your playstyle. I would go with discordance personally cuz ur guaranteed to know where half the group is. I really like your turtle build I'll have to try that. I wouldnt get rid of nurses, despite being legion ppl will generally heal often against u.

Is it a matchmaking problem that can be fixed by coding or is it actually that there are not enough high rank killers to go round so the game eventually starts any way it can regardless of killer rank?
I think its the latter. They need to make playing killer more appealing / less frustrating but without annoying survivors. The eternal dilemma.....
Pretty sure there isnt enough high rank killers

That's funny because I've been wrecking survivors all day with no ruin, tier 1/2 perks.
I usually do alright it's more of the annoyances with the frame rate and random lag then gen speeds imo but some maps screw up the game
-
Will there be console optimization soon? I really like the lerys map but on afraid it wont run well on console.

They did add a new way to get bloodpoints. The rift. Even when it is closed u can still earn a good amount of bloodpoints from doing the challanges

@Fibijean said:
We also looked carefully to see how it functions as part of a Killer's loadout. Beyond the obvious desire to slow down generator repair, Hex: Ruin functions as one of the very few perks effective as slowing generator repair in the first couple of minutes of the Trial. This is important to Killers' rankings because the Gatekeeper Emblem highly rewards keeping as many of the 7 generators incomplete as they can for as long as possible.
Because Hex: Ruin is one of the few tools a Killer has for getting an Iridescent Gatekeeper Emblem, the update needed to respect that. Just a straight-up nerf without considering the consequences for that Emblem wouldn't be a good plan. So before getting into the Hex: Ruin change, let's go over the Gatekeeper Emblem.
Isn't that exactly what they tried to do here? They might have gotten the reason wrong, but they did at least attempt to do exactly what you're requesting.
They know exactly why ruin was used so much they weren't born yesterday. But instead of addressing gen speed they refuse to nerf it or add other objectives and render the killers "fun" useless. Have u read the notes and seen ONE thing that was taking into consideration toward the people playing the doctor. There is only stuff about the people versing him...
-
@Peanits said:
I would definitely say give it a try first. Having played around with it, it can be pretty nasty once you get some pressure. Combine it with Surveillance and you also get some outrageous tracking (since generators automatically regress). You'll always know which generators are being worked on.
If it works that well with surveillance, then it might not be so bad. I like tracking and information perks like that.

I don't know about Microsoft but Sony let's you change your name once, free. However, if you want to change it again. It will cost money. They also said some games might not be compatible, by changing your name, you might lose progress on some games you play. That was back when it first came out so i don't know about know. I didn't want to risk losing progress on any game so i never did it.
I think he means like an in game name. Like being able to have a changeable in game name
-
Which makes it more of a reason to add it. It's just a mask. Something simple. Ik there are more people who want it too. I'd be fair for everyone to be able to have it for free

I suspect the idea of having different ranks for different killers is still floating around. Here is a quote from a post I made summarising all the information we got in the latest dev stream:
There are some who are disappointed with the new system because they relied on rank reset to be able to try out new killers that they weren’t so good at, against less skilled opponents. The devs are aware of this problem with the current rank system and the fact that it has only one “mode”, and they would like to try to address it, but they can’t yet specify exactly when or how.
at least they are aware. I didn't know they were. I figured they gave up on the idea

Or just play Plague...same benefits, without add-on, indefinitely not only 60s and if they cleanse you get a lethal range attack.
You are the type of person to play for performance. Which is not bad at all. I do love me some Plauge. But this is for people who want to play and have fun as legion while being effective. There is no doubt that plague can do better than legion but overall, people like playing legion because he is fun to play as. It is fun to run around stabbing people at fast speeds. While you are absolutely right, I'm talking from a fun/effective strat than pure effectiveness. If you're looking for straight up effectiveness and don't really care for the fun then legion isn't for you.
Tbh I think the plague can be boring at times anyway
Edit:Spelling
-
I think alot of people are missing the point I was making. I never said use pins to make him good. I suggested if u wanted to go for a new slowdown, you could try the pins.
People who are saying you can loop the legion without needing to mend, you wouldnt have to mend if he was in a chase before the change so that argument is stupid and if you are being chased that long then there is a problem with the player.
All I'm saying is that if you build them right they can apply good pressure. People dont wanna mend? Ez thanatophobia stacks. Bamboozle and fire up are interesting on him due to the huge speed he can get. Although his old slowdown build is gone it's not all that he has. If you can take advantage of the speed buff and vaulting, you will understand how much better you can perform as him

@vossler25 said:
Infinite loops are toxic, but only because of poor design, hell yeah I'm abusing it, tunneling is toxic under the fact of targeting one person, if they aren't close by, if nearby hell yeah you should be the target, body blocking is toxic but for the survivors, it's basically a method to cause a loss for survivors when they do it (mad grit a pain with STBFL hahahaha body block this killer biatch 4 people dead from body blocking and stupidity of them, I know mad grit is rare but come on if the person I have isn't free by the down I got then just run duh) what is toxic through and through are the messages from survivors (not had salt from a killer yet, survivors hold most of the crybaby losers) and Devs, Devs are pure toxic to killers by making killers weaker than a new born caterpillar and rarely touch the clear OP stuff on survivors such as gen times
From the way you are explaining it. It seems more like the survivors themselves were being toxic rather than body blocking itself. But even still that's just a highly coordinated team. Honestly swarm body blocking should only work maybe 2 times because at that point everyone will be injured. As long as it's not endgame I would rather have multiple injured people than 1 hook. The trade off is reasonable

@Fibijean said:

@ASpazNamedSteve said:
Yeah idk, people like to label anything they don't like to face as toxic sometimes. I feel the same about 'gen rushing', unless people really are bringing everything they can (best toolboxes, BNPs, Prove Thyself) then I don't see this as a thing.
With looping the only way I can see this as toxic is if someone does nothing but stick to a safe window the entire game, but if we're being real is even this toxic? I don't think so, just obnoxious to face.
I agree
-
@joker7997 said:
There is a certain threshold of abusing broken loops that is simply unfair, and it's extremely toxic, they are abusing a busted game mechanic and it breaks the entire game. The only solution is to break chase or the game is over. Some survivors instantly go back to these broken loops whenever the killer gets on them and they make sure you'll never get them. Its incredibly boring for both sides. If every survivor did this you would have absolutely none playing killer anymore. They need to fix their game.
I understand what you are saying but you can not entirely blame survivors for faulty map design. If something is extremely safe they will go back to it over and over. It is incredibly annoying yes but I personally wouldn't label it as toxic. Its instinct to get somewhere safe and if that spot is safe than you cant fully blame them.

They won't. I really feel the Devs hate Legion at this point.
I feel like they do to. Although he isn't the best I really like them as a character. they have a neat little gimmick that is fun to use but now its at the point where the power is never used for the majority of the match. A killer should not have a power that is
1) non lethal but that's another story
2) has medium risk low reward

I mean I'm all for challenges, but you can't put a challenge like "Kick 40 gens/pallets" which isn't challenging, then put "Unhook safely 2 survivors during EGC" and think that makes any sense.
Challenges are great, and most of the challenges weren't all that difficult. But some of them, and a lot from the T4 rift? Yeah, they're absolutely ridiculous for numerous reasons. Sorry if you can't understand that and think that only bad players are complaining, when they're not the only ones.
And just so you're aware, this "battle pass" is 100% not worth the majority of the lackluster rewards you receive for the grind it asks of you, especially if you don't play a lot. All I get from your post is that you want to be a special snowflake, which is ironic because guess what? Any scrub can buy every single tier and get your reward.
Also again, it's all optional. If you knew you would not have the time to complete it then you shouldnt have bought ut

why should you work to literally unlock story?
It's not all that hard of work. Most of the challenges are easy they just take a while to be done. There are some harder ones but that about it. U should have to work to get things in video games. It's not like they will be given. Not saying it should be borderline impossible but it should be challanging

I'll try that. I actually use that build but switch monitor and stbfl around but ima try to take out ruin and run those both and see how I do.
