Weakest, dosent his whole power rely on open spaces, I think he would be one of the best killer for that???
Half of the rooms are safe, questionable pallets against 4.6 killers become safe against 4.4 trickster.
It is less relevant than the fact that a group of over-careful shift+W survivors gonna give Trickster an average of 2 hooks per match without even using tiles. Gen pressure on Midwich is already close to impossible for low mobility killers, and trickster (on top of not having any power of the kind) is a sad 4.4.
OoO + Midwich offering + Trickster gotta be the most survivor-sided game scenario possible.
-
Nemesis is an interaction perk which you mostly see paired with pwyf or rancor. By itself, nemesis should be the most useless killer perk in DbD.
-
I'm yet to see a Trickster on Midwich, theoretically he should be the weakest killer on this map.
-
From survivor's perspective it often indeed looks this way, but from killer's point of view - I'm gonna get at least 4-5 forms per match as Myers, and in 9 out of 10 cases I'll keep EW bar 99% untill I find someone out of position. It is kind of inevitable to happen sooner or later, and it's (mostly) not survivors' fault, but rather a generic pattern of Myers' gameplay.

1. Base
2. Claudette / none
3. Trapper / none

I'm lookg forwards to Scooby-Doo as a killer.
-
Autodidact is an okay niche perk as is, and it's also the legion of survivor pipping - you get a notably higher emblem scoring when running autodidact builds in pub games.

Okay, you scared me for a moment. Thanks for the clarification.

Dbd is making chapters based off anime/manga? #########?
Also this is Feedback and Suggestions rather than General discussions.

Read dbd wiki when you don't understand something specific or need numbers behind le famous DbD Considerably and Slightly on most addons, which means something entirely different in each instance.
Watch guides on all aspects of the game; a lot of DbD mechanics are not just not explained in-game, but not even mentioned at all. YT has quite a lot of content of the kind. You can kick off with some basic survivor guides and huntress-specific killer tutorials and see how it goes.

The timings changed (again) by a fraction of a second couple of months ago, which is extremely annoying to deal with. Other than that, everything seems to be working fine.
-
Sorry for necroing, but was this bug ever acknowledged? Can't find anything.
-
Gameplay patterns are way too different, and a large share of the total playerbase only joins a match to play their preferred role.
Your idea could work as an optional MM mode, though.
-
EU, once in 2-3 months I guess
-
Why do you only list very extreme answers? Both are wrong quite obviously.
-
You main way to control the map is downing survivors quickly enough to keep them busy untill they are all dead. With few exceptions, most (good) huntress players only run 1 gen control perk - corrupt intervention.

so you're saying that any streamer that isn't already getting 100+ viewers is crap... got it... wow..... MY point is that DBD can help a stream to grow because of it's popularity on twitch along with the fact you are playing with 4 other players in general who would then know of your stream. I have a steady stream of viewers between 7-11 and sometimes more because I am a variety streamer and I've gotten new viewers having TTV in my user name so why not? it is a good advertisement deal to be honest, play a game and advertise to 4 others that don't know you (usually) so they now know you. what's wrong with that? why are they TRASH why are they bad because they are advertising themselves?
I said nothing about the bigger named streamers who use aliases including "I am totally not a TTVER" lol, that one had their twitch in their steam profile! the reason bigger streamers don't use TTV, is their advertising is done more to attract more than one or two at a time but 10-20 at a time in many other ways. you'll also rarely see those streamers advertise in other streamer's discords either. That's why I didn't mention them.
I guess I am no real TTV Streamer at all eh? because i advertise where I know I can reach others???
You are very quick in jumping to questionable conclusions about what I meant and getting offended basing on your assumptions.
Small streamers can play better or worse than average players, because they are, in fact, average players - on average. There's no need or reason to approach them differently simply because their screen is being shared with several other people.

I guess no real TTV streamer wants to advertise their channel! LOL... your comment is laughable! If the TTV is the killer they are advertising to 4 other people and if there is a ttv in the survivors too that can lead to more than 4 learning of their channel... Same goes with TTV survivors, unless they are playing SWF they advertise atleast to 4 people.
As Killer if I see a TTV, I go into their channel early in the lobby and drop a hello line to introduce myself and 9 times out of 10 I either get the survivor in a jump scare or they get to laughing but either way we have a great time no matter what. IF i'd gone in as killer i'd return after to chat with them. MOST TTV'ers are not toxic and the minority of those that are, make the rest have a bad name.
I'm not quite sure what you were trying to say, but generally big streamers don't put ttv tags to their nicknames due to an incredibly small quantity of people able to see it in-game relative to their general audience (direct consequence pf the absence of Spectate a match feature), which makes it irrelevant as a marketing strategy.
Not to mention that other r1 players are mostly alrdy aware of their existence - there are not that many "big names" of the kind in dbd.
-
That sounds like a good idea, both from the perspective of players and devs.
-
Idc, strong players don't use it in my experience.
Any man who must say "I am a ttv streamer", is no real ttv streamer.
-
We already have one

Because blinks are for nurse, and survivors are no nurse
-
Relative to an average dbd player opinion, Twins seem to be the most underrated killer. 4th/5th strongest killer in the game being widely regarded as C tier is rather peculiar.
-
Distressing and unerving presence scale poorly as your opponents' skill level increases.
STBFL, corrupted, PGTW, surge, thrilling tremors, brutal str are all decent perks for doc. Pick whatever fits your playstyle best, this killer is rather versatile perk-wise.

Wrong, crouched pig can attack with her dash so you have lost that arguement.
And cloacked wraith can attack by pressing m2 and then hitting, big brain time ...
Chase event depends on M1 hits, if this wasn't worded clear enough.

You fail to realize that the trap is suppose to stop ticking when you are getting chased. Crouching and following a survivor with a trap is still chasing the survivor but using a bug idk (Devs never said it was game design or a bug). Also correct if I'm wrong but GF and Myers can start a chase whilst cloaked or tied 1 aka undetectable just like pig when crouched, but she doesn't start a chase.
Yes, so?
The argument of "actually being chased" makes as little sense as "actually being hit" by killer's M2 for STBFL stack calculation purposes.
This feature is part of her power design.
Edit: btw, the intuition of chase event proc for some cases and not for others is that chase only works when the killer can hit you. Cloacked wraith and crouched pig can't attack, myers and gf can.

I would disagree. It's a thing that shouldnt exist because of one thing. She is chasing you and that normally makes the timer stop. Crouches doesn't mean she isnt chasing you.
And how does this trick make it as an argument against such mechanics? This feature is a part of her power.
"Shred attack doesn't mean demo is not hitting you, fix stbfl not losing stacks"? From my pov, those two cases are at the same spot of the bug-feature graph.
-
Why is huntress placed so high? I've heard she's very annoying to play as with a controller, isn't she? (I'm not being sarcastic, it's a legit question)
-
It doesn't need a fix as it's not a bug neither an exploit. That's just how it works.

Why is Whispers good on Huntress specifically? Or why is whispers good generally? It seems way way overhyped in my opinion. It’s nice at the start and it’s nice at the end. Otherwise? It’s quite literally useless as you’ll usually know what to do or where to go by the mid game. Only exception would be if you lost someone in chase and the survivors are being immersed. That doesn’t happen very often in my experience though. Discordance seems like an objectively better perk against most survivor teams. To be fair, if the survivors play smart then they will hard counter discordance but I’d argue it’s still better than whispers.
Disc. - I'm trying to put my fully intuitive game understanding into words, and I'm not sure I can do it well; take it with a grain of salt. I rate this perk as best huntress perk in the game with corrupted intervention being a close second, though.
Huntress main weakne sses are her low mobility and lack of sneakiness. Ending a chase quickly is not that hard, initiating it on the other hand may be complicated.
There are several killers that are entirely focused on chases and downs. You don't spend time on gen protection, you just try to kill everyone within a very short period of time you have untill the gens are completed (other killers of this kind are nurse, oni and myers).
Whispers allows you to reliably find people and initiate chases fast at any stage of the game. The most important aspect is the first chase, as you don't have to go to most gens/map corners, relying on the info provided by this perk instead. It saves you those precious bits of time - and you don't have too much of it when playing huntress.
-
Whispers are absolutely amazing on huntress.
PGTW can be dropped sooner or later when you get more experience.
Brutal is ok, but bamboozle is suboptimal outside of tournament games - and even then, not for all maps. Latter one also prevents you from learning how to run some tiles.
Huntress is the only killer that can consistently makes use of bloodwarden, you can give it a shot.
Ruin is ok if you are running 3 gen strats on open maps.
Against top tier SWFs and tournament teams, you can go for stuff like HG+ruin+undying+noed, but that's definetely not a build for an everyday match.
Nurse's is easy to use and sometimes fun, too.
Certain players love discordance and bitter murmur, I personally disagree, but it might fit your playstyle - all of us approach the game a bit differently.
As a fun niche perk, huntress can use coup de grâce - you do M1 on some tiles, but not often enough for the quantity of available tokens to become insufficiant. Another pro is that you naturally lose at least a few gens regardless of your skill level.
I've also seen agitation being used sometimes for more hook protection oriented plays - huntress is absolutely amazing at certain spots, and getting someone hooked there allows you to "camp" it being half across the map.
Infectious fright, eventually paired with deerstalker can work on some maps if you adjust your playstyle accordingly.
M&A is the best choice if you are planning to play on lery's - I'm not quite sure what could make you willingly play huntress on this map, though. On most other maps it's useless.
-
A peculiar question (and approach) considering you were not involved and can't even victimize yourself.
Such scenarios are not ban-worthy, particularly if nobody is forced to do it against their will.
-
A ~150 sec cooldown killer perk allowing you to break an unused (standing) pallet could be an interesting addition.
-
The actually optimal approach is to never touch dull totems at all (unless you just scratch it to check whether undying is in play or not).
Other than that, if you are playing for fun but do know totem spawns of this specific map, usually it's okay to go for it. If you got 1 gen left to repair pr are generally not very confident in your ability to find totems, you'd better just remember this spot and check it later.
-
He can reliably snowball in pub games against pretty much anyone below 5k average hours, assuming you make no strategic mistakes. That's the only killer I had over 95% lethality with at some point.
Playing against comp teams will most likely result in 0 or 1 hook per match, though. He becomes exponentially weaker against stronger and more coordinated players.
-
@SMitchell8 said:
How is Huntress so low? She always gets easy 4k's in the games I play against her. One of the worst killers to go against in regards to escaping. Surprised she's so low
There are like 3 players using her in non-killer-specific tournaments, and even they aren't doing too well.
-
I believe that the only racist thing related to smartface are people who want it removed and require special treatment for one of the default survivors basing on her skin colour.

I know but is PH strong cuz i want a strong killer
He's 5th strongest killer atm, but he requires some time to learn. Not as much as nurse or blight, but still.
-
Freddy is about to get nerfed into the oblivion, and his gameplay is generally not very exciting. I'd suggest PH.
-
People able to consistently make use of iri heads single hatchet are more of a threat with 5 normal hatchets, in my opinion. When bad players will use it, it won't benefit them much, if at all; it's just gonna be annoying.
-
The principle "to ignore nurse at all cost" is a whole tier above of "unsorted data pivot=>nerf" concept in devs' priorities.
Jokes aside, I actually think your argument for this particular case is valid (despite being completely irrelevant in most discussions it is brought up to), because freddy performs average to poorly against high tier players, being the exact opposite of nurse in these terms.
-
HSHS seems to be directly copying from dbd in a lot of aspects, and so far it looks considerably worse than the original.
-
I'm pretty confident that pallets' hitboxes are okay and you can't hit hatchets through them.
Survivors' hitboxes are bit tricky being both taller and wider than their visual model, with some weurd adjustments during heal and repair actions; but I'm guessing you are aware of that. A clip is needed to understand what you're talking about.
