  • Never had that tech work on me. Anyway while not a killer main. In the past weeks there is a lot of survivors trying to flashlight blind while walking. So just look up or down if they try to do that.

  • I doubt it and mostly due to technical/hardware reasons...

  • To be honest not many modern slasher movies out there that are good now a days. I really think Myers and Jason are the most famous ones.

  • Maybe make it about only human ones. Like legion, and huntress. Because technically pyramid head would win, since he is immortal. And we know nemesis would win out of all the mortal ones. Not saying you should, just throwing out ideas :)

  • Yeah he is decent now, at least for us pc users. He can definitely handle himself vs stronger teams now. But they honestly made him annoying to go up against, especially in maps with low amount of high wall tiles. And this is coming from someone who actually likes playing him. But yep at this point this is as good as he can get without becoming broken, as we saw in the ptb. I guess they could remove his lullaby and increase his terror radius, that could be something that would help him overall.

  • If they nerf DH than everyone would run sprint burst, which in my opinion is the king of exhaustion perks. And then you would have the same folks who want DH nerfed, they would be griping to get sprint burst nerfed... There is no winning. Now I will say the only things that would be ideal to nerf about the perk is the immunity it gives you to DH over trapper traps, and the immunity it gives from getting directly hit by huntress hatchets. But other than that we should be asking for the majority of perks to get buffed, since most are useless or niche.

  • Massively overrated perk, that does not work half the time. And the majority of the people who play this game use it in a way that won't help them. And also if they used their perk in smart way... Then I don't what you mean when you say it requires no knowledge to use it. But it needs a nerf to prevent players from DH over trapper traps, and from the immunity it gives when you get hit by a hatchet.

Not anyone I know, well consoles are common but almost all my friends have at least a decent PC.

And not everyone like PC tho. I personally play on PC, but I know plenty of people who prefer something that is easy to set up without the hassle of building a pc. Not only that some people just prefer playing on a couch in front a 75 inch plasma screen, rather then on a 15 inch screen..

why do you care about rank.......

I don't It's just that I don't wanna be a high ranked killer ๐Ÿ˜‚ Which I always end up as sadly.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

It's because ranks are (and the devs have admitted to this) not great as a skill indicator and more of a reward for monthly time investment. If you understand what your objectives are as a killer i think it's fairly easy to get to rank 1 if you play regularly. It's harder as survivor because you you have to rely on three other people.

Yep the sad part is you have to rely on 3 random players to rank up... and hope that they are decent at the game. Not only that sometimes I get more points when playing survivor compared to killer yet I still lose pips.

  • Wraith is downright annoying to face depending on how they play him.

  • I don't think it's as popular as people in this forum make it seem...

Like I never heard about that movie till I saw people mentioning it here ๐Ÿ˜‚

And even me being a big movie fan never even heard about this movie being mention by other movie enthusiast. I saw the first movie just because people were mentioning it, and it was okay however nothing I would watch again.

  • Incompetence is what makes me frustrated in this game. Like I don't expect survivors to be good loopers or anything special. But when I see what appears to me, survivors lacking common sense, like making basic mistakes. And the other thing that I don't like is when other survivors purposely bring a killer to a gen when it's about to complete. I seen survivors who know I'm working on a gen and bring the killer to me just because they are about to go down.

  • @Junylar said:

You have your MMR for the killer role in general, I don't think it distinguishes different killers.

I don't think it does. Because when I played killers that I'm more better with I definitely got put vs stronger squads. Yet when I played with killers who I rarely touched, not good with I got placed with what I'm assuming are rank 20 survivors.

  • @Razorbeam said:

Nurse isn't that hard until you face very competent survivors who will challenge her blinks where you need to hit a certain skill level to deal with but once you hit that point they don't stand a chance. Competent survivors can smell baby nurses a mile off though so before you get there it can be hella frustrating.

I think blight is pretty on par with nurse it's just different and it's a bit easier to do okay with him earlier on.

I never realized how oppressive she can be. I legit found my self unintentionally slugging, with how easy it is to down casual survivors with her.

Thatโ€™s fine , but donโ€™t complain at losses.

I don't complain about getting sacrificed. Or having 4 men escape when I'm playing killer. What I don't like is being FORCED into playing sweaty. I enjoy playing relaxed matches having fun. Thus for me needing to win is not necessarily what I have to achieve to enjoy this game. I enjoy the chases for the most part.

    This.

DBD is the only game I've played that forces you into ranked competitive match ups even if you don't wanna try hard.

Yep. I don't mind getting completive once in blue moon. But the majority of the time I prefer to play more relaxed, not be forced to sweat or try-hard.

well, MMR essentially takes this casual party game and tries to make it into a competetive one.

and given how DbD works, forcing it to be competetive makes both sides act like that - killer more than survivor though.

It makes the more skilled player base competitive for sure. Now some people enjoy to sweat every game, but plenty of people don't enjoy it.

  • A non-ranked mode would be ideal thb. I don't wanna face people who force me to sweat EVERY single game. Plenty of players don't wanna face sweat squads or killer all the time, think about it, it's not fun being forced to play sweaty all the time. And no I don't have to get 4 sacrifices or escape each time to have fun. I have fun many other ways in the game, but I'm not a sweaty player at heart.

I dislike how you need a longer match I'm soneone who's always liked quick games

I don't like real long matches like 15+ minutes. But I don't like real short matches either 5- minutes. But yeah usually quick matches as a survivor or killer tend to result in a de-pip.

  • Don't slug from the get go... If you wanna rank up that is. Not saying how you should play, just saying if you wanna rank up.

Anyway survivors de-pip if all they do is gens and escape. I got 20k earlier and still de-pip as a survivor.

So slugging is not going to cut it, if you want to rank up anyway. You got to a have a longer match.

  • Not a good idea. Because then killers will be limited to only totems builds, or non totems builds. Which would be unfair.

  • Survivor only or survivor mains want this systems for the majority of the part. So they don't get paired with other players who are not the brightest to put in nicely. You really won't hear any killer only or killer mains cheering this for the most part, since at the top 10% or so they will have more challenging matches consistently.

    A) Queue times are bad now because there aren't normally enough Killers. As evidenced by Dowsey, who only found a match after a pro team sniped him, it can take a very long time. Even if it expands your rank as time goes on, then MMR has done basically nothing.

    B) In the current build of DBD, you get a variety of matches. Some are easier, some are harder, even at Rank 1. With MMR, if you are good, you will only ever go against other players who are good. That's the issue. When you toss good players into a match, the game becomes ludicrously unbalanced. That will drive away many peopleas it will be CONSTANT.

Honesty that is why a non-ranked mode would be the solution to this...

That way all the sweaty, and try-hards can have at it. If all those sweaty players like having to try-hard every game then they would just stay at MMR/ranked mode I assume.

I've heard people say they want to be able to see the names so that they can lobby dodge if they recognize a player.

You do realize steam users can change their name everyday, whenever they want to lol?

Anyway I meant to vote yes. I voted no by accident.

  • Leave the perk as is. It's nothing that needs to be reworked.

Grabs weren't fixed. We still don't get the grabs even though we clearly see the animation for a second. Giving us a hit does not make up for a lost grab, because we should have got the grab.

And they better not remove the scream and hit, because if we're going to be robbed of a hit through a pallet, we'd at least like to know that it happened.

That is a fix tho... At least that is how they presented it. Anyway it's better than before were survivors would just stand up and complete the gen or gate. But they already said they are looking into it. So they will almost certainly removed the scream.

  • Have not gone up against one. Out of all my play time which is 1000+ hours I only gone up against fewer than 5 real good nurses.

  • Old trickster was the weakest in the game. New trickster is definitely not the weakest anymore. He is a solid B tier. You just got force them away from loops, get them in the open. Now unless you are on console, than yeah he might the worst since his knifes are way of.

  • I run empathy at times. And I often see that survivors will literally go across the map and self-heal in the corner. It's a good perk, but the way a lot of people use it hurts it's reputation.

  • I don't see how he would bring anything new to the table, jason that is. He is going to be a dude with a machete, but what power would he have. I would rather see something new like chucky.

  • @xEa said:

There are only 2 scary things in DbD for me:

    • A great Huntress. Not feeling safe even across the map is super scary.
    • Trapper. I start playing like rank 20 when knowing its the Trapper. Every window, every pallet, every loop, every grassholm is trapper. And he has Iri Stone... for sure.

Good huntresses have always been scary for me. Even with the humming her presence is tense, despite you knowing she is close. But other than that the game is not scary with spine chill. But a myer with unlimited tier 3 or Judith's tombstone can make for some tense games.

  • What if I do if I get tunneled, it usually means I get camped. If I'm solo I hope that my teammates do gens and get out. If I'm with my friends I tell them just do the gens and get out. But not much you can do if the killer wants to tunnel you. Unless you are a real good looper, or have helpful teammates, which in solo it's much harder.

  • I enjoy playing huntress. But as a survivor I hater her hitboxes.

  • I really like the legion skin. And the huntress skin.

  • High level dbd is trash. You yourself said it's no fun for either side. Since high rank you will often get placed vs real sweaty teams. Or if you are high rank survivor you get placed vs sweaty killers. Non-ranked mode would fix this hopefully all the sweats, try-hards would stay on ranked mode so they face each other. It sucks being forced to only user certain perks, or be forced to play sweaty as often happens in this game high ranks.

I`m not having fun anymore playing killer, everytime I see those flash clicks I go mad and ignore that player and go for someone else. I`m rank 1 as a killer and some games are ok 2-3k maybe 4, but some games are so fast that I can`t have fun even with kills. I chase some dude and if I see that he is a tryhard I give up and go for someone else. The thing is you don`t have to be a god at survivor, just run every pallet/window that you see, loop the killer if you can and that is like 2-3 gens if the killer doesn`t give up the chase. I`m just wondering why are those "god pallets" and loops in the game at all ???? I play killer to smack some survivors not to break pallets, jump over windows, and do circles around some shack until I get dizzy.

Idk, maybe the game is fine the way it is and the devs can`t really do anything to change it. I believe the game was supposed to be a horror game but it`s not.

It`s very funny because if a new player checks the trailer when the game starts he gets the wrong idea of the game. I have matches as a survivor where I don`t even see the killer until the final gen is up, because if a good survivor wants he can keep the killer with him until the other 3 guys finish the gens but that also depends if the killer is that salty and wants that guy dead.

I`m not the first one with a post like this but clearly not the last one.

I'm assuming you are a newer player, or are you not? Because if you are, then my friend, I'm here to tell you all of us who got to rank 1 for the first time felt like you. You see most of us before reaching red rank were used to incompetent survivors, who did not know how to loop. And were scared to do the basic of the game such as touching a gen. But after reaching red rank for the first time, It basically becomes a new game. But all I can say is that you have to come in with a open mind, you have to accept that you won't always get 4 sacrifices. As a matter of fact you may only get 1 or 2 hooks in some games. It's just how all games works you win sometimes, and lose sometimes.

  • I'm pretty sure It's possible to beat SWF squads, even with weaker killers. I beaten SWFS with weak killers like trapper, and legion. Now you can't 4k EVERY game. It's just part of life sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. Sometimes I get 0 sacrifices, but that is just how every other video game is you will lose at times.

  • Best would be nurse in most situations, since she can teleport through anything thus not have to loop and being able to down people within seconds. Worst would be trapper in most situations, since you have to set up your traps and hope survivors run into them if they don't you are basically a killer without any power.

  • I think the open handed buff was great. But at the same time I think it's a niche perk tho...

  • Run whisper that way you can know if survivors are near you. If you don't see the perk activate then it should be safe to place the trap.

  • You can counter the perk with these right here...๐Ÿ‘๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ

  • The map is fun. I like it for both sides. I don't see the big deal.

And that takes FOREVER. They essentially get 8 free health states against this killer. That's why he's weak. Why should I play him over Myers? Myers is "slow paced" yet performs way better. Also has better addons.

That is my point he is probably the slowest based killer in the game, even more than myers since myers becomes a one hitter. As you said it yourself it takes a long time to build up his power. Thus my point he is a slow based killer. But I don't know man he may not fit your playstyle. It's subjective I don't like to play certain killers such as wraith for example since I him boring, nemesis may not be fun to you. But myers can't hit over pallets or break them with his power, so I guess nemesis has that going for him.

  • @glitchboi said:

Nemesis is a decent killer. He's solid on both indoor and outdoor maps. You need to know when and how to use his Tentacle Strike. Use them when a survivor vaults a window/pallet or drops a pallet, if they try to fake it then use that opportunity to M1. He's a powerful zoner.

If the survivor you infect holds W after the speed boost, go infect someone else.

His zombies are not meant to damage survivors, they're meant to push people off gens and healing actions, and can be used as a tracking utility. Their AI is quite cranky, I agree, but they aren't useless.

It's easy to tier up if you infect multiple survivors in the early-game, I can get to tier 3 after 1 gen gets done.

I agree that his add-ons suck balls though.

And once you reach tier 2 he becomes a beast. And when they run out of vaccines it's hard to loop him.

  • No you guys don't seem to understand he is a slow paced killer. He is weak at the beginning, but once you reach tier 2 he becomes great. You got to try to build up his power as early as possible. I usually win when I level up his power. And the majority of the times when I lose as him, it's when I did not build up his power. You basically have to slow the game as him, hit them as early with the whip to build up the power and hopefully run out of vaccines. Once they have no vaccine and they are infected they pretty much can't do much, no looping is safe after tier 2 since he can get easy hits over pallets and windows.

Well, but we know we are getting "robbed".

Problem is that survivos don't need to finish animation, they just need to start it and server will protect them.

Try to play Wraith for some time and you will see.

And yeah I played killer lately, not wraith but legion. And yeah I had it happen to to a couple of times. But guess what it's not a big deal. They fixed the stuns which survivors were dealing for years, getting hit through pallets when it should not have happened. But they also fixed the grabs, so why is everyone mad about two unfair things getting fixed? I mean one since everyone is fine with the grab fix but not the pallet fix.
