I can't speak for other killers but the only killers I have NOED on are killers who are new to me (since I don't have other perks unlocked) or killers I don't like (so I don't bother spending BP to get new perks but I got a daily...). So since they're either newer killers for me or they're killers I don't like to play as, your first point is totally me.

Either way I seen killers in rank 1 who have all leveled up perks use NOED. A lot of the times some people want to get a full 4k in red ranks, and they are decent killers. But they use NOED to prevent anyone from escaping.

  • @bluedusef said:

8-9 games only two of them were not these three combo of perks. 1 oni player who used only surge, and the other only used pop and ruin in combo.

Yup, time to play killer and ignore solo queue yep.

You're not wrong especially in red ranks I seen a lot of killers used those perk recently.

  • I just want the ability to be able to choose the background theme, and setting. So we can choose from any of the old ones. Because that guitar can getting annoying hearing over, and over again.

  • @WeenieDog said:

I thought that was the best way of playing them. Otherwise, its m1 Charlotte doing m1 things like chasing around a pallet like a dog for 2 loops for the whole game.

I know that is how she is most efficiently played. But it is one thing to slug, but this extreme slugging. The Nea did not do nothing for the majority of the match, she was slugged 95% of the time.

  • @Khar said:

There's a lot of people who don't like playing vs certain survivor playstyles. Goes both ways.

Do you know anyone who likes to be slugged right from the get-go? Not even get a chance to do anything that whole game, just have to wait till they bleed out, or keep getting picked up over and over again?

I am sorry but you are missing his 3rd issue to get the trifecta of trickster pain. You are very much forced to psuedo tunnel you get knives in someone and you have to go for them or else say goodbye to your power.

I think that is the reason why it feels like the trickster will eventually get you down as some people say. Is due to the fact that if he has some knifes in you, he kind of has to get you or he just wasted his time. So he has to commit to one person, because his power can't damage multiple people at the same time. So he is not like other killers who can do a hit and run type of game style. He has to commit fully to downing one person all the way.

  • I don't get the logic in "He has no counterplay". Because any killer can eventually down someone at some point, regardless of how the survivor plays. And yeah his power sucks, but old legion had to do was stab and follow you and you could literally do nothing no looping or nothing. It's he got survivors in mending state and would follow you and that was a 100% down. With the trickster a tall rock is all you have to loop to not get downed by his knifes, even holding shift+w is at times a counter play vs his knifes since he can only do damage mostly at close range accurately. Even the simple jungle gym is great counterplay vs the trickster. And by the way any regular 115 killer would have ended that chase in 10 seconds.

  • It's not about what rank people are, It's about how much experience you have. The more experience you have the better. Meaning there could be a killer who is red rank, same as you. But he could 1000s of hours of experience were you may have 100 hours of experience.

  • The new doctor skin to me looks gross. How he has faces is cut up with the blood, uhhh I can't look at it. It gives me anxiety.

  • I mean people were complaining about the old OoO how you could see the killer all the time, now they made it fair for solo users. Personally I think it was an overrated perk, that was horrible for solo users. Especially if you were the last person alive.

It is kinda useful to use your knives when a survivor is out in the open instead of M1ing for that quick cooldown to blade spam and then down. I'm not the best Trickster player so idk

No because smart survivors will circle around you if you get close to them and cause to waste more knifes and time. So in those cases take whack them. And in some cases trying to use your knifes when a survivor is front of your face it takes more time to use knifes if they start going left and right.

  • He reminds me of Batista from WWE. But easy skin that should be available, should be an option.

  • @GodLikeTerror Is the guy to go to for this. According to the DBD stats he is the 3 best trickster user in this game. That guy is a pro trickster. But just don't try to use your knifes when you can M1, use M1 in situations when you get an opportunity.

  • He is becoming an annoying killer. But I never saw him as weak, don't know why some people thought he was weak.

  • @Yords said:

Throwing pallets and staying near windows can cripple Wraith actually.

This is the best counter play

I still don't think traversal is more important than the los blockers in the long scheme of things. At least on old coldwind you had open areas to snipe people even if they went into the corn. Now with how tall the corn is you literally can't tell where the survivor is in the corn, so sniping is literally a complete and total random guess. The collision is also wonky. Against a competent team now you aren't going to have a fun time on any of them. At least I could see before now it feels like I literally have to squint my eyes to see absolutely anything.

I found it easier to throw knifes when survivors are running in the corn believe it or not. Since now the corn is more visible when it moves. I just found it better I guess. I feels the loops are not as strong since they made them shorter. And shack has more holes, and jungles gyms are more closed. And the main building you can actually see survivors running in the holes.

You asked him, not me... but I'm going to give my answer to this too:

    1. 3-4K = Win
    2. 2K = Tie
    3. 0-1K = Loss

If the game was good, hard fought and challenging, why would I feel anything other than amped up by a good match?

Because I seen some people only get satisfaction from only getting a 4k each match. I think it's unrealistic. But I asked him since I believe he is a killer only player.

  • I think the new coldwind is better as its smaller. I actually got more downs with the trickster since it's not as huge to travel across the map. Now yeah the map has more object blocking projectiles, but it's smaller so it's better for slow killers.

  • @Yords said:

4k most of the time, if I was against babies it is not satisfying.

12 hooks followed by 2-3 hooks is satisfying because I did very well against a good team as killer.

So if you don't get 4k how do you feel?

Lets say you get 1 or 2k?

  • @DemonDaddy said:

No hooks, they can bleed out from bad teamwork and leave when gens are done

I mean those games are not really fun for any side. Because on one side killer wait, on the other side survivors have to wait as well. I see no fun in that style of gameplay.

  • I messed up I meant max hooks such as 8 or 9, as 12 means 4k.

  • Spine chill is okay it does nothing crazy. It's not that good as in time I have seen spine chill activate only to bump into the killer.

  • No one uses open hand as much as you believe, I have yet to see anyone use that perk since this update. It would be a waste of a perk spot for any killer to use a perk similar to that.

  • @dtavares7 said:

There's just so many ways for survivors to mess with the killer. The entire game as the killer you just feel like you're chasing a stupid carrot on a stick dangling infront of your head but you know you're never gonna get that carrot and that carrot is getting all the entertainment in the world

It's like the entire game is designed with the torturing of the killer in mind. The killer is just the plaything for 4 survivors who have ZERO fear of the killer whatsoever. That's the game at red ranks

The killer should never have survivors WILLINGLY run at him, that's a joke

The power dynamic is completely reversed past rank 5 honestly

No wonder survivor queue times are so long and all the red rank survivors constantly get matched up against purple and higher rank killers. It's because all or most of the red rank killers stop playing because IT'S. NOT. FUN.

Avoid the pink hair wig wearing Neas, and blue hair Fengs. Go after the claudettes who are doing gens in the background. Those are the real gatekeepers. The ones comes running towards you just want to waste your time so the gens doers finish the gens quickly. Those that wants you to chase usually don't like to work on gens, sometimes I have them following me around which is what I want since they are not on a gen. My suggestion is to play at night and evening that is when red ranks get put in vs mixed and matched survivors so with purples and red ranks, and the matches tend to be less sweaty.

  • @Streamkaboom said:

Coldwind used to be one of my favorite maps. The new lighting in this update is absurd. This game should NOT feel like you're playing in the middle of the god damn day. Lower the ######### brightness, BHVR. You're a "horror" game, remember? Stop trying to make things look absolutely gorgeous; i want the map to be dark. Not for the sake of hiding as a survivor. But for the sake of feeling like im playing a horror game. Jesus christ.

This game is not a horror game. You got people running towards the killer wanting to get chassed.

  • Killer in upper red ranks vs sweaty teams, forget about it. Survivor is overall less stressful.

  • @marciamarciamarcia said:

I'm always surprised when players claim that it is easy to rank up as Killer because that has not been my experience AT ALL. While I have found it to be relatively easy to rank up as a Survivor (my highest rank before rank reset has been 5)--playing Killer can be stressful at any rank lower than, say, 14. If I were consistently playing against other yellow ranks or even green ranks, then that would be one thing. Instead, I am constantly matched against red and purple Survivors, so getting through and out of green ranks has taken a lot of effort.

In my experience it's easier to rank up as killer since you are purely depending on your skills. Were as with survivor you have to depend on other random people, and that can be hard at time. Unless you are playing with competent friends than yeah it's easier to rank up as a survivor. But If I'm being honest any survivor below red rank is usually easy to deal with based on my experience. But it's since you are dealing with people with more skill. So you can learn how they play,

  • @dtavares7 said:

.. Is the fact that it's way too easy to rank up as a killer and be placed against toxic red rank survivors with 3000+ hours

    I'm at that point now

about 200 hours in, purple rank killer, and every que is a match against a group of red rank survivors who honestly make the game hell.

I get it, GIT GUD, etc. but I play the game to have fun, this is not fun. I don't want to have to sweat my ass off every single game. I want to go against people with the same amount of experience as me.

"Oh ok, how about you wait some time to derank and play against players of your own caliber?"

That really doesn't work, I didn't play for an entire month (even though I wanted to, I enjoy the gameplay concept), and I went up a whole 2 ranks... Wanna know how long it took me to get back to the same position? like 4 games or something

So I don't get it, am I just supposed to stop playing or something? Because it's really not fun being stomped every match

If I'm being honest you have to learn how to deal with the survivors shenanigans. Meaning ignoring the flashlights clicking, and ignoring the tea-bagging and etc. I understand at first it may get under peoples skin. For me it would get under skin at first, but now as I have many hours in this game it does not mean nothing to me when survivors do all of the things mention. I just focus on the objective in hand. Now you will have to learn how to play better, and by that you have face better people. You are able to learn new strategy's by facing stronger survivors. For example old me would have just follow survivors in a chase, new me plays with strategy. For example were is he going to turn. Is he going to jump or not. So I could to try to cut of the survivor. And I learned how to deal with the looping better such as shacks, and jungle gyms. Basically you get more experience vs playing higher ranks. And I would recommend playing some survivor to get an idea of how the opposite side is thinking. Like where would they hide, and how to loop a killer. And how to deal with killers, so you can knowledge of how to think like a survivor.

  • A lot of people are using offerings. A lot of the non steam users wanna try out the new map I'm assuming.

Shadow buffs to Spirit and killing off stealth? I knew this update was too good to be true.

Stealth is good. Why do so many killer mains and devs want it gone??

Because the majority of killer only users hate stealthy players, based on what I have seen people say.

  • All-kill seemed like it was going to be popular when they were teasing it. But as said it many times. Not only Yun, but the trickster only had 5 minutes of fame before they got overshadowed by the RE announcement. And people were more disappointed in how weak the trickster is, so now people want to move on to the next chapter. Sadly even the binding of kin chapter got more love than All-kill, this chapter pretty much will be forgotten when the RE chapter gets released.

  • Yes I wanted to make my own poll. I hope they either make it so it takes 4 knifes to injure someone, and keep it at 8 to down survivors. So that way he could apply pressure to the teams, by being able to injure more quickly. or they either make it 6 knifes to injure and 6 to down. Or just make it so the knife laceration does not go down. Hopefully by the next mid-chapter update they can make some changes to him.

  • Oh yeah, at this point it's annoying haha. hearing that theme over, and over again. It's a shame I remember when this update was coming out no one had any clue how the killer was going to look like, and what abilities he would have. I certainly did not expect how the trickster turned out to be. It feels just like yesterday, it's a shame he only got 5 minutes of fame. He is underrated at least to me it feels like it.

  • Huh I'm confused? For what exactly, if you don't mind?

  • @Moundshroud said:

It isn't just you. It is so smooth that I was having trouble landing hits on people doing 360s. I'm going to have to learn my timing all over again because something is clearly different.

They fixed a mouse issue I think I saw on the patch notes. So that could be it.

  • @Laluzi said:

Seriously. It's a real shame that when the old lobbies are gone, they're gone. I'd love the option to choose my own lobby scene and menu music.

This is something I been thinking about for the longest. They should add an option so we could chose any background them from old chapters. I really like that trickster music though and that Korean themed background, been tired of that guitar theme.

  • gets rid of NOED so it could be good.

  • Sadly he will be that K-pop killer in the roster that people will not touch after the RE chapter is released. It's a shame they did not give him an update after his old one. He is fun to play, but in red ranks vs competent loppers he is pretty much worthless. Anyway last time I head everyone pretty much said it's a dude.

Oh no I’m saying obsession or not if i will tunnel if I feel it’s necessary or I need to end the game fast. Ds won’t stop me

It will slow you down hahaha

  • Yep killers would pick you right after you got unhooked if there was no obsession.

  • Because of the hits. It seems he has the worst hitboxes, in that it seems you will not get hit, but somehow he hits you.

  • Their stats showed in increase in tunneling, or one of them noticed it themselves while playing.

  • Good change should discourage tunneling, or at least picking people up after they get unhooked. Even they probably noticed an increase in tunneling in their stats. As I have seen an increase in tunneling myself.

Lucky Break was nerfed to last for 45 seconds.

Twins nerf went through to Live, I honestly can't believe it.

Twins are boring and annoying to go against, take it as you will.

  • @MadLordJack said:

Becausw the survivor has full control over when to use it and the information it gives is insane. Everyone that thinks it's bad in solo que honestly sucks at using it. You always know where the killer is, so you just don't look their way and you won't get revealed. When you need more details, you glance over, and the info is completely worthless for the killer but literally game-breakkng for you, especially against a Hag or Trapper. At worst, the killer hard tunnels you and you die as everyone else escapes.

And that's not even trying to broach the SWF issue.

Yeah unless you become the last person alive. Then it's not great for you hahah.

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

No the change is necessary it'll be less abusable by SWF and more viable for solo a great change.

Good point. It definitely will be great for solo now. Since the killer can't see you the whole time.

  • @GodLikeTerror said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/247114/why-do-people-think-object-of-obsession-is-op

I don't think you have played against 4 objects on midwich... Oh god flashbacks

Not going to lie, I used OoO solo on midwich. It's pretty fun.

  • I don't tunnel objection of obsession users, I will go to them first and try to take them out. And If I can I will. But it's not wall hacks since they can't see you close, unless it's freedy or if you keep victor on you, you can see charlotte. But the perk is useless on stealth killers so that counters trap users. And even on teams most people don't know were they are putting their traps.
