If the event required you to do stuff with other people for rewards, you'd be complaining about them not working with you. So instead your problem is that...... Someone did a totem one time? Does that really happen often enough to be a real issue? I've played a couple dozen games and not encountered anything remotely like that.
Did you not read what I wrote? My problem wasn't that they did a totem, it was that they got a totem and still got pissy and threw the entire match when they missed out on another totem.
I've played a couple dozen games and not encountered anything remotely like that.
Lucky. The number of times I've been sandbagged when on a gen so they could finish it, then left to die on the hook while they move on to a new gen is ridiculously high.

6 or 7 I guess, it's pretty douchey but with the Myers achievement especially, why should they hand you the achievement? It's a badly-designed achievement and if a survivor doesn't wanna leave a locker to give it to you, it's not -that- bad.
@Hexonthebeach said:
I would like this achievement to be changed. Then the rounds against Myers are more chilled.
Until then I'm hiding in a locker.
It does mean the killer's just going to have to try again, and then another group of survivors will suffer through it. I'm sure there have been times when you or I have been in a Tombstone Myers match only because the previous group denied the achievement by refusing to get out of lockers, damning us, and if we or any of our teammates deny it with lockers that just damns another group who did nothing wrong except load into a DbD match. Hiding in a locker doesn't earn points, it just wastes time. I'd much rather die and move on and earn points in a new match than sit in a locker for god knows how long (because some Myers will hold out for 30+ minutes before giving up) not earning points just so I can die in a different way before moving on to a new match.
@Paternalpark said:
Ive never looked at achievements.
I just jump in the locker cause there is no other counterplay against tombstone Myers.
This is not true. If you're on a generator or totem or exit gate, instead of Tombstoning, Myers will perform a grab (or a lunge). I've avoided many Tombstones by holding on to a gen and not hitting skill checks. Unlike if I were hiding in a locker, I'm earning points.
@Rythoriak said:
We all know the most famous example: Someone afk'ing 30 minutes in a locker as the last survivor alive to deny Evil Incarnate. You pull them out and all of a sudden they're not afk and after stunning you run right back into the locker.
I personally had LOTS of people deny my progress for RPD gates (renamed myself Mercy RPD Gates) in all kinds of obscene ways. Worst ones were killers d/c'ing as the last gen popped and saying "No progress for you" in the endgame chat. Had several killers opening 1 gate as the last gen popped themself and camping the other gate. More commonly just tunneling and camping me because of my name right from the getgo (took me almost 50 offerings to get 10 gates open in solo queue from this).
How do you feel about people who go out of their way to these extremes to deny achievements?
How do you feel about people who go out of their way to these extremes to deny achievements?
This ticks me off when I play survivor because I know the killer's going to try again. Survivor spite just hurts other survivors. Thanks, survivors who've denied a killer achievement, for ruining future matches for me and others. You could've minimized the damage done by BHVR's poorly designed achievements, but instead you seem to think you're hurting the killer more than you're hurting other survivors, and you're wrong.
DCing to hurt achievement progress is ridiculously nasty spite, losing all points and possibly getting a penalty. Back before bots, survivor disconnects screwed me a lot trying to get killer achievements. It was frustrating for me, but I also thought the person doing it was «insert many many bad words for lack of intelligence here», because I didn't even play like a jerk, so they must have sacrificed a lot of points and ditched/ruined a lot of matches just to spite someone playing the opposing side in a video game (which, btw, you need, because there is no killer-free gen-repair-SIM mode). Why even play if you're not going to finish out the majority of matches?
-
If I crouch at the party totem it won't use Bardic Inspiration… but instead it'll eat my Diversion token.
Why does accepting the Party Totem use the Activate Ability 1 button instead of the Interaction button like normal cleansing? It doesn't give cleansing as an option, anyway, you have to do the party thing first, so why can't it just use the Interaction button? This is frustrating.
-
In that top image it says you're on page 2 of 2 pages. Is pressing L1 and R1 to go to the next page of head cosmetics not working?
-
There are too many things tied to the same input binding!!
Bardic Inspiration, Any Means Necessary, Diversion, and Accept Party Totem all use the same Activate Ability 1 binding. This is ridiculous and really difficult to play around. I'm often doing something other than what I want and then I'm on cool down forever or just dead. Did I mention how much this sucks? Because it really sucks. I should have some kind of control over this so I can use these perks without them all fighting each other.
-
Scratch marks have gotten worse and worse for me over the years (Nintendo Switch and PS4). They often just disappear and I'll lose survivors mid-chase all the time. I hate scratch marks.

I reckon the score is bugged somehow or some of it is not being multipled. Got 80k score as survivor, 5 anniversary offerings, 50% queue bonus but i only have 170k bloodpoints.
Event points aren't multiplied, they're separate. Things like the bonus for popping a gen, the points for grabbing invites or doing party totems, and the bonus for hooking survivors on event hooks are all separate from normal gameplay points but they're displayed on the scoreboard.

It'll never cease to amaze me how far people will go to try and justify the most toxic fun destroying things people do in this game. The toolbox you see is from someone finding one in a chest. No one brought a toolbox and no one even had sabo perks. I'm pretty sure all of us were solo que and we did nothing to piss this guy off. The fact you'll instantly go to a sabo argument because you see one toolbox in a screenshot is very telling. Have you ever thought that some people just like being toxic for the sake of being toxic?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3740220#Comment_3740220
It is undeniable that the anti camp thing they implemented has strongly deterred face camping. I could post screenshots going back to 2021 of me being face camped a lot. It was way more common back then than it is now. It was so bad my SWF team had to make full builds just to deal with this situation almost every time we played. I know how bad a problem it was in the game. I was one of the people constantly talking about it here. Same with tunneling. Both of these things were long time problems that survivors largely felt was bad for the game and they eventually did something about it. Game devs need to be reminded of things that players feel should be changed. Not having this communication leads to people eventually not liking the game.
Game devs need to be reminded of things that players feel should be changed. Not having this communication leads to people eventually not liking the game.
Personally, I don't have a problem with slugging. I have a problem with the devs for making things where slugging is the only counter, like Boil Over. It's goddamn tiring playing killer and not being able to hook because Switch gets absolutely battered by the normal wiggle mechanic even with Iron Grasp. I just go stand at an exit gate on Switch if someone has Boil Over, because if I went through the hell of getting a down and then I can't even get a hook afterwards screw it, I'm done. Do gens and leave, thanks. Bleeding out as survivor is easy and even kind of relaxing because it takes no work from me, all I have to do is prevent teammates from picking me up so they can't prolong it; dealing with hook-denial stuff on Switch is frustrating as hell, I goddamn hate playing killer on Switch and I wish BHVR would fix their game so that I'm not required to waste perk slots on Unrelenting and Iron Grasp even though they provide minimal-at-best help.
I do miss endurance on Buckle Up. My friend always ran Buckle Up to deal with the occasional sluggers we got, and it was so good for that. New Buckle Up is useless, now we just run the lute and meme ourselves to death.
-
They obviously believe that survivors having three lives each is unfair on the killer. Some people just don't believe in second chances, even for themselves.
You earned over 30k, so it seems you got to do something. I've had multiple matches today where no one escaped and the killer earned around 15k.

I wouldn't blame the killer at all if your team ran the currently buffed sabo stuff and plays hard hook denial. And I see at least one tool box there so from an outsider pov it's not unreasonable to think that happened.
I had a match today where someone ran Boil Over and they kept going down and I'd look around and not see any hooks nearby so I'd leave them on the ground, and after the third time of not being hooked they disconnected. Survivors run hook denial stuff and then get salty they don't get hooked. If I'm doing a Tome challenge that has me needing to get off the killer's shoulder, it feels absolutely justified if the killer counters my nonsense by leaving me slugged. That's just how certain perks and playstyles are countered, by slugging.

Survivors shouldn't be forced to run the same perks and build forever to deal with something that shouldn't be a problem to begin with. There is no excuse for this. They need to tackle this problem the same way they did camping. There shouldn't even need to be perks in the game to counter this. One of the perks keeps you in an injured and broken state the entire match and the other is dependent on totems. Unbreakable only lets you recover once. The problem is NONE of these perks deter the behavior. If killers knew every time they did it they'd be punished it would stop. You know how many times I've been face camped since the anti camp thing was added? Once and I'm pretty sure they didn't know about the change. Before it face camping was very common.
You know how many times I've been face camped since the anti camp thing was added? Once
Seriously? I still meet lots of face camping killers. I got the hatch yesterday thanks to a killer face camping me. Also had one yesterday who kept face camping 1 survivor and so the other 3 of us did 5 gens uninterrupted and escaped; I felt bad for the survivor who died but she was a hero for sticking it out. I definitely encounter face camping more than I see killers purposefully bleeding survivors out. I'm more likely to be slugged by a non-lethal killer just trying to slow down gens than I am to be slugged maliciously for no discernible reason.
-
@Memesis said:
Isn't that reportable? If you can make a good case that it's working with the killer?
It's hard to prove that. I've reported cases where survivors definitely did work with the killer, helping kill me and then being rewarded for it, and support was like, "Sorry you didn't have fun, but nah." (Most recently, a griefing-filled match ended with Jake and Ghost Face teabagging on me and two other survivors as we bled out, then the killer took Jake around to pallets to farm points as a reward, and nothing came of that report.) Plus, I'm playing on Switch, and even though BHVR says Switch players can submit reports without video evidence, I think they're kind of fibbing that player reports without video evidence are worth spit.

No, helping yourself as a survivor by using the offerings so you earn more BP and thus more offerings is good.

How am I hurting others by burning offerings when I play survivor? Not burning offerings when I play survivor hurts myself.

badlynicely during events, and also not during events. Survivors, of course, are not under any similar obligation at any time ever.I had to work freakin' hard to slow down gens without killing anyone in my first match. It sucked. Second match, the survivors threw themselves in front of me when I'd try to go after the unhooker instead of the unhooked, so I said screw it and killed everyone. Two disconnected because I guess me giving them the attention they demanded wasn't what they wanted.
Everyone sucks during these events.

I submitted a ticket but no response yet. Four email addresses, no banner. This happens every time they send out a code, I don't understand why they continue to do this. I got emails about the new Tome dropping back in May, so I damn well know I'm subscribed.

@CountOfTheFog said:
My friend and I have not received ours
Ditto. I've ended up subscribing five different email addresses trying to ensure I get just two codes (one for PS4, one for Switch) when they send these kinds of things out, and still I haven't gotten even one code for this banner.

@Hex_Llama said:
I think you want to separate "actions" and "pick up item interactions." On my Xbox controller, I have Pick up set to RT, and actions set to X. RT does gen repair and healing for me, X throws pallets and vaults windows.
Yeah, this is how I have it on PS4 and Switch. Pick Up Item/Interactions is the default, and I changed "Actions" to the square button (so to vault, drop a pallet, or get in a locker, I now press square).
What even is active ability 2?
"Activate Ability 1" and "Activate Ability 2" have to do with things like Dead Hard, Blast Mine, and Chemical Trap. I had to change my "Activate Ability 2" button because it used to also be square, which completely broke Chemical Trap (now "Activate Ability 2" shares the same button as "Drop Item").
-
In the past year I've signed up to the newsletter with three different email addresses, not including the prior two emails I signed up with years ago, and none of them have received the email yet. It's so random whether I receive any emails at all to any of the addresses. Quite frustrating. I've had trouble with continuing to get newsletters I don't want, but I've never had so much trouble receiving junk mail I do want.
I wish they'd either fix their newsletter system or stop giving codes away using it. They're dead set on it but it never works. At no point have all email addresses received a code they sent out; randomly some will receive it or none will receive it, but never all.
-
Killers get annoyed at me and my friend because they don't understand there's a long cooldown on it. They'll wait for us to restart, then kill when we can't comply fast enough. The cooldown sucks, it really interferes with having fun with the perk.
I don't care about the effects at all, those can be on a cooldown (skill checks mean nothing to me, especially on Switch where I outright fail them a lot), but if I want to spam the lute I should be able to. It especially sucks if I scream and then I'm on a 90 second cooldown for that.

This, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks its waaay too dark. I like that it's dark, but I just think it needs to be a taaad brighter. And you play on switch, right? Because that would probably make it even more dark.
Yup, Switch and PS4 Pro. The maps seem to be darker on console than on PC. Bad on PS4, really really bad on Switch. There've been some basements that are pitch black on Switch.
-
Dealing with even normal wiggling without Boil Over can be very miserable on console. I slug a lot on Switch because I can't get to hooks reliably at all.
Wiggling is supposed to be there to keep the killer from carrying survivors around indefinitely, always going to the basement, stuff like that. It's not meant to get you off the killer's shoulder on your own just because, and it really shouldn't be there just to punish console players. Also, the stronger wiggling is, the more likely killers are to slug to death.
-
I like that it's not red, but it's way too damn dark. My friend and I die even more than usual because we can't see anything.
-
Yup, this is how I've had fun in the game for a long time now. My build is Beast of Prey, Distressing, Lightborn, and Deadlock; it lets me play chill and earn BP.
-
I reserve the right to dodge teammates who look like they're going to grief me. I've been in enough matches to be able to judge, and every time I've ignored my gut instinct I've regretted it. I don't want to play with two or three people who are obviously together and have crass names.
I'm a casual player. I'm not like "ohmigod I gotta win," I'll play with three Sables and get disappointed if no one ever goes into the basement to do the silly invocation because I'd totally join them. I don't dodge people because I'm worried about losing, I dodge because I can recognize a miserable time. Being the random solo with a 3-man SWF has been consistently miserable.
-
Yeah, the challenge is busted. Multiple tries doing exactly what it asked, it'd say it was completed and then be back to zero. I got it done by going beyond the number of hooks it asked for in a single match. I think I killed at least one survivor, too. This bug was reported immediately when the tome went live. Sucks it's still not fixed.
-
I just watched my friend play a round against Xeno. He was the first one found because his teammates failed skill checks, first one hooked. His teammates didn't heal him after unhooking him, so he was left to heal himself. Then a survivor got chased and brought the killer to my friend while he was still trying to heal. Killer hooked him again. He got unhooked, the survivor who unhooked him once against disappeared, and the killer quickly put him back on the hook and nodded at him while he died. I still have no idea why. My friend did nothing toxic, he just got screwed over by crappy teammates and tunneled out at 5 gens. Wow, the killer sure taught him a lesson... about bothering to play the game, I guess (lessoned learned, I took the controller from him and rather than dealing with DbD I'm playing Bloodborne).
I try to play nice as killer, and rarely do the survivors notice. Back when messages were still on I got accused of tunneling despite spreading out hooks. I don't personally enjoy tunneling so I rarely do it, I often don't even kill because I just don't feel the need; I don't expect to be thanked for it, it's my choice. But survivors will still wait out the EGC teabagging in the exit gates, oblivious to how much I was holding back because there's no joy in slaughtering potatoes at 5 gens.
How I or my friend are treated by the opposition rarely has any connection to how we play.
-
It never should've taken them so long. I'm glad it's finally happening, but it should've happened back when Ranks became Grades.
-
I miss it, too. Once the BP bonus was removed I started running Deadlock. After all this time, Deadlock still feels like a convenient substitute keeping the perk slot warm while the BBQ BP bonus is sidelined.

He can consistently get hits through pallets, that's an EXTREMELY strong ability that people seem to overlook. And tier 3 doesn't take long at all with the right add-ons, you can get there in just a few chases.
He can consistently get hits through pallets
That can absolutely be countered. Survivors who know what they're doing don't get hit by the tentacle at loops and those survivors are very painful to chase because they turn Nemesis into an M1 killer with no anti-loop power. Maybe once in a year a zombie will help Nemesis out in those moments, but mostly the zombies spend their time exploring corners and getting stuck on the environment.
-
Shadowborn wasn't used that much. For a long time their functions were that Shadowborn increased the FOV and Lightborn countered flashlights. The perks have nothing in common except their names both end with "born."
No one is suddenly running Lightborn because the game added an FOV slider. You're either a player who loves Lightborn for making the game less arduous (most killers I see use it are on console) or you think Lightborn is garbage because walls exist. If there's an increase in Lightborn usage right now, it's probably because of the Tome challenges.
-
I mean, yeah, that's definitely the case on console, especially Nintendo Switch. The maps are too dark and there are no brightness/contrast/gamma sliders. They're missing the necessary controller options like dead zone and response curve settings. Nintendo Switch often has a single digit framerate; killer is unplayable, I can't land hits. And they still haven't given the Switch cross-progression they promised.
The game is extremely broken on Switch.
-
You know killer instinct activates when you use the spray, so whenever you use the spray you should be sure that it's the best time for you and the worst time for the killer. If you're using the spray without putting thought into timing and location, then you're not bothering to counter the killer's kit.

I really miss the days where events meant EVERYONE got points when an event gen went off.
I have complained about this every time there's an event. I am sick of getting sandbagged by teammates who want my 99% complete gen. Teammates are the worst, and I hate that BHVR designs events without taking that into consideration.

You're talking to the playerbase like it's rational beings doing these things.
I had survivors in a match last night who basically refused to do gens. I got tired of waiting, killed 3 of them, and figured the last one could have the hatch. He noise spammed for five minutes trying to bring me over while I instead chose to mess with the blood droplet. Rather than taking his free escape, he disconnected, and then the bot immediately jumped through the hatch.
Who does that?! DbD players, that's who.

Killers usually dont have a problem to slug for a 4K in regular gameplay
Says who? That's a horrible generalization. I hate slugging for the 4k. It is unfun. It's stressful and I feel like a dick doing it. I usually don't even bother when going for the adept, which is also frustrating trying to play against the stupid RNG hatch. Getting the killer adept is one of my least favorite things to do in DbD, I just want to use my regular perks, but I have all the other adept trophies so it's stupid to ignore the newest one.
I actually found it much easier when adepts meant earning 2 pips, because that just required farming and the last survivor escaping didn't necessary equal a fail. I could do that over and over until it happened, it wasn't too bad. The 4k requirement has made it really suck.
-
You have to position yourself just right and look down at the thing. It is much more difficult to do as killer and because of that it wastes more time than doing it as survivor, which is the opposite of how it should be.
-
The staff members who handle reports already get a ton of reports about people who don't break the rules. If bleeding survivors out were a bannable offense in some situations, the number of reports for non-bannable instances would outweigh the number of times where it broke the rules. And BHVR would have to decide in what instances exactly it counts as bannable. They'd have to explain it without being so specific that people can use BHVR's definition to skirt the rules (they already do that in multiple instances, for example not explaining the math behind incremental ban timers for disconnects), and still people would not understand it, there would be a million arguments between players what's okay and what's not. This would be a huge headache for BHVR's team, it would cost them a lot of man hours (paid man hours) to deal with a few instances of someone being left on the ground for four minutes, something that can be a normal part of gameplay.
Just go AFK and get a snack or watch an advertisement on YouTube or something if you really can't stand to sit there and watch yourself on the ground for a few minutes. Don't get riled up over something so ridiculous as a game, just be quiet about it and move on. Even when I had PlayStation messages on and someone messaged me after a bad match to either taunt me or rage at me, I either ignored them or was super polite in response. Man, some of those people said some quickly-banned-by-PlayStation stuff after my polite responses. Toxic people hate it when they can't get a reaction out of their targets.
-
As survivor, I hate that bots play as the "lone wolf," which damns their teammates all too often. And they will open the exit gate first thing and run out. That's worse than useless, it's actually helping the killer in a lot of situations. What the hell do bots need the escape for? Why do they need that BP? I'd prefer bots collapse and go into the dying state once gens are completed rather than do that.
I recently watched a killer get stuck with a bot as the final survivor. It was a two-story building, and the bot got stuck in a never-ending loop, running back and forth at a pallet but not going anywhere, not looking for the hatch or anything, because of where the killer's TR was. It was amazing. (The bot did finally leave the area and get the hatch once the killer's position changed enough.)
-
It's psychological. A reward is a reward, even if you don't need it. Seeing higher numbers at the end of the match makes you feel like you accomplished more, even if it required less input than earning fewer points on a normal day.
I'd be happier about the event if BHVR had fixed it so we could put BP into killswitched characters. The Twins is the only killer I don't have prestiged so all their perks are unlocked. They're the one thing I have left that needs BP. I got The Twins to Prestige 1 just before they got killswitched, so I've actually wasted a lot of BP because their perks are now sitting in everyone else's Bloodwebs and there's no way to opt out of that and BP still caps at 2 million. I'd go back to playing Bloodborne but I'm too nice to tell my friend if he wants to play DbD he's on his own. I'd be happier about a reward I don't need if I could at least put it where it is needed.
-
As killer, I usually hook survivors but don't kill. If I'm worried the survivors aren't going to make the save, I'll stand around near the hook (facing away from the survivor) so that the face camp meter fills up (unless their teammates are crouching around nearby screwing that up... you guys need to stop that, you kill your teammates by hanging out around the hook, do gens like you should and let your teammates yeet themselves off, I'm tired of dying to cowardly useless teammates).
As survivor, I will help killers with Tome challenges (did that a bunch for Trickster back when he had a Tome), help killers do their Daily (Trappers and Artists needing assistance aren't uncommon), help Huntresses farm their Skilled Huntress achievement. I'll offer killers hooks. Sometimes I'll stay and die to the EGC for killers. I've given Tombstone Mikeys the Tombstone (I once forced it on a Mikey, that was funny, he was trying to offer the door and I ran into it so I could join my three teammates in awesome stabby death). One time, a Wesker with Rancor + Nemesis brought a survivor to the exit gate and performed the mori for me and my friend, so then we ran to pallets and Wesker got a second and third mori that match; that was fun, I hope Wesker was as amused as we were.

The survivor should not be forced to exit the locker and be hit with the tombstone. The killer however had every means to end the match by grabbing the survivor from the locker and refused to do it. That is taking the game hostage. It doesn't matter if they were trying to get an achievement. The survivor is not obligated to give that to them.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3681581#Comment_3681581
The killer player is entirely in the wrong here. Lockers are the counter play to tombstone. The survivor is not obligated to give that to them no matter the reason. If nothing was done in these situations it would be common.
Sitting in a locker isn't playing the game. The survivor isn't doing gens, they're not looking for the hatch, they're not opening the exit gate, they're not trying to escape. Existing on the map isn't playing the game.
The survivor and killer were in a standoff situation. Just like the old hatch standoffs. Either of them could've ended it. The survivor was going to die, whether they bleed out on the ground or go on a hook or get Tombstoned, so refusing to let the killer get the Tombstone is just petty. Survivors do realize they're hurting themselves when they do that, right? Because the killer is going to have to try again, meaning more survivors are going to have play against this add-on they apparently hate. Survivors are damning other survivors to a fate worse than being slugged to death, it seems, and they're proud of it.
The survivor is not obligated to give that to them.
The killer didn't trap the survivor in the locker, did he? The killer isn't obligated to pull a survivor out of a locker. If some player wants to sit in a locker instead of play the game, why is it on the killer to force them to play?
I have countered many Tombstone Mikeys, and I've never done it by sitting in a locker. Sitting in a locker doesn't earn points. Sitting in a locker is not playing the game.
-
Yeah, it's bad on PS4.
It's worse on Switch, especially in handheld mode. The game needs brightness/contrast/gamma sliders for console. This issue only ever seems to get worse.
-
@MaTtRoSiTy said:
Well OP since it is technically against the rules you can report it but bruh... seriously... 🙄
Nah, OP can be mad. They didn't unhook anyone, their teammates were (probably?) a 3-man SWF who should've left the solo alone if the solo wanted to be alone. As killer I get pissed at that stuff. If I'm being nice and survivors try to offer up someone who obviously doesn't want to participate, I leave that person alone. If they keep it up, I'll probably slug the one(s) trying to offer up an unwilling teammate as a way to say "No, stop that."
Now, if that person made an unhook, then it's only fair they get hooked. If I chase and catch the survivor through normal gameplay without the other survivors' interference, they'll probably get hooked. But don't offer up teammates who don't want to participate, I don't take kindly to that and other killers shouldn't either. Even if it weren't against the rules, it's just a crappy thing to do.

Because i want understand where my points from and how they are work
The best way to try to understand where your points are coming from is occasionally watching the score events in the right top corner during the match and then watching how the score is totaled after the match is over.
During this event, you're going to be making a lot of your Bloodpoints from event participation. Survivors get 3k BP from finishing a gen. Killers get I think 1,500 BP from hooking survivors on a non-basement hook. Both survivors and killers earn points from interacting with the blood droplet.
If someone burns a Bloody Party Streamers offering, that only includes non-event Bloodpoints. If you earn 15k from doing normal in-game stuff (healing, rescues, getting chased, working on a generator) and 25k from event bonuses, the BPS is going to give you an extra 15k Bloodpoints.
Unlike the BPS, I think the global multiplier includes all Bloodpoints earned in the match. So, using the same numbers above of 15k from normal stuff and 25k from event bonuses, that's 40k total before the multiplier. The current event multiplier is 200%. That means 40k + (2 x 40k), a total of 120k Bloodpoints. If somebody burned a BPS, then that's an extra 15k in this scenario, for a total of 135k Bloodpoints.
If all of that is confusing, then my best suggestion is to not worry about it. Try to interact with the blood droplet. As a survivor, try to complete gens. As a killer, try to hook survivors outside the basement (and you want multiple hooks, if survivors die on their first hook you only get 1,500 Bloodpoints instead of the possible 4,500 Bloodpoints... with the multiplier, that would mean you're missing out on 9,000 event Bloodpoints if someone dies on their first hook). If you can do actions within blood zones then that's a nice but very small 25% bonus so don't worry about it too much. Mostly, play the game as you normally would.
Edit: I just want to mention I'm not a dev, I've tried to figure out how the math works by doing what I said in the first paragraph when I wanted to see if Bloodpoint offerings were working. I may be wrong about things, there's a lot going on and it's difficult to separate what's what on the end screen.

i think that wont happen cause the way i understood this is that the chase music is so loud by intention so while in chase you have a harder time listening to sound cues.
in your particular case it would not matter cause you listen to musik anyway but im sure most people would lower the chase musik to hear the sound cues of the game better wich is not intendet by bhvr
the chase music is so loud by intention so while in chase you have a harder time listening to sound cues
^ This. BHVR uses the loud chase music to balance the game.
There was recently another thread about this (and many more before it, because 99% of players want to be able to save their hearing from the future tinnitus that awaits us all from this blaring klaxonic chase music), and this was my answer there:

Unfortunately, the devs actually use the chase music to balance the game. (This isn't a guess, they have outright stated this.) That means players will continue to get their eardrums blown out if they try to have the volume loud enough to hear those nearly silent footsteps. I gave up trying to use sound to track anyone years ago, I've always found directional audio in this game to be absolutely useless, especially with BHVR's nonsensical audio occlusion. God forbid I think I hear the hatch or injured survivor, I go in a circle and somehow end up looking in the wrong direction every time.
Other games are designed in a manner where the music is optional and players are allowed to turn it off if they feel it's interfering with their ability to hear useful sounds. That's not the case with DbD, where a large number of the killers get washing machine screeches as chase music just to make sure it's loud and obnoxious enough to drown out the audio players want to hear.

I don't notice any change in matches as my grade gets higher.
It does seem that if I die once or twice, then I keep dying match after match after match for the rest of at least the day if not beyond. At no point does it ever ever feel the way BHVR has claimed, that the game tries to balance it so that as a survivor you don't keep dying ad infinitum but start getting matches where you escape. If I die, I get worse teammates, which means I die more.
It's miserable and I hate this system.

It's hard to use numbers because the math is complicated.
Okay, say you earn 15k by doing normal non-event stuff in the match (hooking, chasing, etc.). Let's say you also got 5k event points (which are points earned for hooking on event hooks and messing with the blood droplets). That's 20k BP combined. If you did every single thing within a Blood Zone, you get an extra 25% for both normal things and event things, which would be 5k BP. That's 25k BP total so far. You also have the global event multiplier, which right now is 100%. I think the global multiplier includes all the above, but I'm not sure. Let's say it includes everything, so you get an additional 25k BP, meaning 50k total so far.
After all that, the BPS will give you an extra 15k, because it does not include any event points whatsoever.
If you had no queue bonus, then you earn a total of 65k BP.
I'm pretty sure my math is correct, but I make no promises. It's hard to keep track of these numbers, even with them written down in front of me like this. It's simplified for easier math, because for instance you cannot actually do everything within a blood zone for a flat 25% bonus.
Edited to simplify it and because the global multiplier is now 100%.

Sorry your free stuff didn’t meet your every expectation.
This isn't players asking for free stuff for existing. This is an event, something live service games have to get people playing more so that those people will spend more money in the game. BHVR puts large price tags on cosmetics to cover the cost of updating the game with new things like events. Most comments I've seen concerning the event aren't just a little disappointed, they're very disappointed, especially when many of us would've preferred the LNY event to return and this is what we get instead. There's no big increase in Bloodpoints, and there's no fun new mechanic, so all that's left is neon red garbage covering my screen for no good reason.
If you like the event, that's fine. I don't understand the need to be dismissive when other people don't like it and share that disappointment. If we don't bother to tell BHVR when we're dissatisfied, then there's no chance they'll improve in the future. This suggests players should just uninstall instead of providing feedback.

Did you steal the droplet from her? If you don't injure/down her with your basic attack, it doesn't steal the survivor's droplet. If you're already carrying two droplets, it doesn't steal the survivor's droplet.
If you did steal the droplet and it didn't complete the challenge, then that sounds like a bug.

I couldn't care less about blood points. I have every perk I want and dozens more offerings and add-ons than I can use. It's a fine event.
But the stated purpose of the event is earning Bloodpoints. If you ignore the Bloodpoints, there's nothing left of the event for it to be a "fine event." Saying you don't care about the purpose of something and thus that thing is fine is nonsensical. It sounds like a large part of this conversation just doesn't apply to you.
