And like I know bug fixes aren't easy, but taking away DC isn't the answer, it's called do a health chapter

@CrowVortex said:
Don't think it's fair to say that right now, there's a lot of bug's and glitches around. I tried 4 Twins games and i got stuck in at least 3 of them after Victor pounced on a healthy survivor. Only thing you can do from that point is just DC because you cannot see at level height, move or attack.
Yeah well, maybe BHVR should try and fix them instead of just saying "uh... yeah, no DC penalty"

In a game like DBD winning doesn’t matter tbh. I’d rather have a fun game doing stuff like that then just holding m1 for 4 minutes and leaving with minimal killer interaction
Yeah well you don't know the intent of the other 3 survivors, maybe they want to win

A lot of these squads just enjoy seeing what they can pull off in a match. Things like sabo in the killers face or bodyblocking are just fun to pull off tbh and even if they don’t work it beats just holding m1 on a gen to me
Ah yes, throw the game for your own entertainment

So you got beat by bots? Lol

Oh, well then.
Killer must run to the opposite side of the map after hooking someone. They must face the boundary wall and count to 30 before attempting their next chase.
What if I told you I did this already? Lol jk

I know this title seems like "one of those" but my intention is actually to gather info what anyone really thinks. One siders will ofc say "yes" or "vice versa" but my interest is the ones that play both sides, now i cant control that people can state being not biased towards one side so we have to go with a rough measurement here.
thats why i dont make a poll out of it. It will turn out 50/50 anyway so im giving the option to reason your answer and share your thoughts, maybe this thread will even proof me wrong. I would perfer that tbh.
But knight makes me really question things, his power is ridicilously easy outplayable. yes he CAN win. Like any killer CAN win. But it just feels so much work and pressure on yourself, as if you are an M1 without special abillity because as to what ive seen myself and read from others experience, his guards are well... a joke.
and i dont believe it was intended to have another campy killer, not when you read the descriptions of all 3.
there are other things that make me question it; looking at DH and nurse but the 6.0.1 imho is a counter argument. So i dont jump on this only because of knight. I just find some... decisions very weird. also the whole UB basekit/mori system rework while yes not being sure to release at all, the whole idea of it after the 6.0.1 seems to me like a complete diffrent direction, and this being definitly a slap to both sides.
lets have a serious and none heated convo for once all though it actively is themed around our great polarization we have in this gaming community right here.
And if a dev/mod happens to stumble uppon this post im very interested in officcial answer over this. Im sure im not the first one asking something like this.
They're not survivor sided, they just don't know what makes a good power and good map

FEAR strats can certainly get a KO, but actually winning with only FEAR is harder because you're bound to encounter one of the above things.

I wouldn't really call FEAR rattata an effective way to win. It's a gamble, because many things hard counter the strategy.
The only thing I can think of right off that bat is a priority move from the opponent, regardless, if your opponent isn't expecting it, it would probably work, lol

It wouldn't be a huge change, but we would still need to go through the usual process of creating tasks, changing code, and running everything through QA. But ultimately that would still leave it in an awkward spot where it still doesn't provide as many points as Bloody Party Streamers, which are the same rarity. We have to consider if that's worthwhile, or if we're better of waiting until we have the time to take a proper look at it and do it justice.
That's fair, I was just wondering how easy it would've been

I thought a bit more about your post and I want to say that this game has the most irritating things you can do to the opposing team than any other. You got the power make others players gameplay absolutely miserable, and there are so many ways to do that, unlike COD or OW where you just kill each other and move on. The game design that hooks you on negative emotions and you can't let it go. You go to bed angry, wake up and proceed with this unholy circle of bad behavior.

The most effective tactics to win as killer is to proxy camp and tunnel.(which survivors flame and always badmouth you for it because its toxic which can be really disheartening when you play a video game and wanna have fun).
The most effective tactics to win as survivor is to rush gens and do nothing else which is boring.
I firmly believe that the reason there is such a big amount toxicity in Dead by Daylight community is the core gameplay of the game that promotes bad gameplay because the best tactics are considered toxic, unfun and boring which creates an insane amount of toxicity.
Its not the people that start to play this game that are toxic, its the game itself that makes you become toxic especially if you dont take extended breaks from the game.
Dead By Daylight is a great game with a great idea ,and focused on the worst parts that are the core gameplay loop
Dead by Daylight is a great game with great ideas on paper, but when it comes to gameplay, its like they took the worst gameplay mechanics, and just focused on them, instead of trying and fixing the issue.
I always get flamed if I tunnel, camp, even thought I know there are survivors nearby, and if I leave I just give them a free unhook and lose pressure.
Playing Dead by Daylight feels like making the right decisions to do better in a match is toxic and makes you feel bad.
Queuing as killer just to know the survivors will absolutely hate it just makes you not wanna play at all knowing you gonna deal with a high amount of toxicity.
Edit: 1 thing I want to add.
You can literally never go wrong with tunneling.
If you tunneling there are two outcomes.
1 . You get a survivor out of the game early that makes your game a lot easier and applies a lot of pressure on the remaining survivors.
2 . Survivors come and take hits for the tunneled survivor, which means it forces them to get off gens, take hits, heal, which is a lot of time from them not genrushing.
But here's the thing, most survivors wont do that because most survivors play in soloq and play for themselves.
Even to this day,I barely see any survivors that learned the best way to deal with a tunneler is come and take hits for them then go heal.
But survivors in soloq play greedy and for themselves.
Its almost poetic that they end up losing because they didn't wanna help their teammates and play as a team,as the game is intended when playing survivor.
And the most effective way to win in Overwatch is to use bastion, the most effective way to win in pokemon is to have a rattata hold a focus sash and know quick attack and endeavor, the most effective are usually the most cheapest

Nothing is planned for them at the moment. Obviously there's not much reason to use this over a Bloody Party Streamer these days, but it's very low on the priority list since the time spent changing or reworking it would be much better spent on something like perks. I wouldn't say never, but definitely not in the near future.
Not saying it would be an easy fix, but couldn't you just include the killer in this offering? So just a mini BPS?

I don't know if that number holds true in the larger player-base but.....60% of Nurse games having a DC definitely sounds pretty damn spot on to my games.
Yeah and I just had 2 people DC against a hillbilly because of insta downs, I'm pretty sure survivors are just wimps and doesn't apply to just nurse
-
@Roaroftime said:
Yes, another post about how broken nurse is. Because how can devs think she's justified when EVERY (And I mean every) round I play against her leads to at-least 2 first hook suicides or DC's and no more than 2 gens being completed max when people don't leave immediately and actually try. She's unplayable in her current state and needs work, why won't devs listen to people? And why do they think she's balanced when her kill rate is only low because likely 60-70% of her rounds have DC's so aren't included? Anyone can master her and garuntee a 3k-4k after a few hours of playing her, especially with broken perks like eruption.
Wow, haven't heard this before

@BloodBird said:
So I've been trying out a new build with the Wraith, who most people would say is not a very decent killer, and while that might be true, I've come across a build that is impossible to defend against.
First I will start by saying this build comes from a variation of another build with wraith that while not unstoppable is also quite nutty to pull on survivors. I will go over both builds and am curious if anyone can think of ways to counter it. Now bear in mind to make this build unbeatable you also have to play smart, and not engage in unnecessary chases or lose sight of your goals.
So first, with both of my builds your perks are the same, the add-on's are what truly separates the two.
The main crux of the build is to bring the 4 following perks.
- Brutal Strength
- Bamboozle
- Call of Brine
- Overcharge
I've tried many combinations and all 4 of these perks are necessary for the build to work, and the most important is overcharge.
The idea behind these perks with wraith, is because of his speed, brutal and bamboozle allow you to cut the chase time down from minutes to seconds, no longer will you ever get looped at shack, simply vault the window and make them drop the pallet.
Call of Brine and Overcharge do two things, obviously brine regresses gens fast, but overcharge is your reassurance, that if you need to chase someone, even if people go back to the gen, there is a good chance of regressing it enough with overcharge to give you time to chase.
Now of course all of this doesn't work without the right add-on's.
So the add-on you must have for both of the two builds is either "Blink" - White (green add-on) or "Blink" - Mud (Yellow add-on) these will allow you to re-cloak 60 or 40% faster.
Now the first build is pretty nutty when you bring either "Shadow Dance" - Blood (green add-on) or "Shadow Dance" - White (yellow add-on), these two add-ons allow the wraith to break pallets/walls and vault either 60 or 40% faster while invisible.
With this build here is what you can do. Now you can kick walls in about 1/3rd of a second, which is very useful for maps such as Dead Dawg Saloon or Ormond where it is very helpful to break certain walls at the start of the game. When chasing survivors, you can force them to drop a pallet and break it so fast they gain no distance on your during chase. The biggest thing is now with bamboozle in tow, you can vault a window almost instantly, and block any loop from being useful, even T & L walls are hard to be looped at.
When chasing survivors you can hit them, than with the 60/40% cloak speed, re-cloak, re-chase them and catch up to them so fast they barely gain distance from being hit or perks that would benefit them like balanced landing, sprint burst or overcome don't really help, than you just uncloak, hit them again and end chase quickly.
The kicker is, if a survivor is on a gen, you can uncloak and hit them and instead of chasing them, re-cloak really fast, kick the gen in 1/3rd a second, brine/overcharge it, and resume chase and catch up to them in under 2 seconds.
It is very hard to play against this build as pallets and windows are rendered almost useless and even if survivors don't 3 gen, it is quite easy to keep gens regressing, especially if at least 1 survivor has died, and especially on smaller maps like dead dog. Final gen is where is build becomes the nastiest because if you've been doing it right, there would be almost no pallets left by this point.
While that build is scary and certainly fun to use, it is not the "Unbeatable" build. Here is what makes it "Unbeatable".
All you have to do is swap out the Shadow Dance add-on for the Wraith's "All-Seeing Eye" and it becomes impossible to lose if you know what you're doing.
The All-Seeing Eye gives you 100% knowledge of any time a survivor even so much as 5% repairs a gen, while invisible, all gens appear white and turn redder the more they are repaired, even at 5% you know someone is on it, and you especially know which gens are nearly done. You don't need lethal, at the start you know where to go, and with brine/overcharge, you know what gens to target.
As long as you don't chase expert loopers for too long, this build is vicious. with Brutal and Bamboozle its also easy to cut chases down and with brine/overcharge in tow, it's also easy to keep gens regressing. Here is the best part of this build, it's virtually impossible for survivors to avoid a 3 Gen. As wraith you can slowly focus your attention on 3 specific gens close to each other as gens get completed, and with the "Eye" you know whenever someone tries to do one, with brine/overcharge, you can swap from 1-2-3 so fast and kick them, there's almost no way survivors can complete one, and when they eventually do 3 gen and there are no more pallets left to save them, you just have to whittle them down bit by bit as you keep regressing gen after gen.
On maps like MacMillian it is especially easy to camp 3 gens that are all within the same vicinity.
There is nothing more satisfying than watching a 90% completed gen slowly go down to 0% after only 3-5 minutes.
If anyone disagrees with me on this build being unstoppable I'm very curious to hear what the counter-play to it is. I used this build to get my Irri 1 rank this month, and I won every single game, no matter the items, or ranks of survivors; flashlights, sabo's, none of it helped, the worst game I had was a 3k that I safety'd only because of someone disconnecting. I've never lost a single game with this build yet.
I will admit, the Wraith's one weakness is going up against multiple flashlights and having to deal with lightburn, but it's not common for survivors to all bring one expecting Wraith of all killers, so if you see too many in lobby you can just back out, but one survivor lightburning doesn't really effect the outcome of the game all that much.
What I love the most about this build, is the turn a game takes when a survivor starts a game against Wraith assuming how easy the game will be, to the end of the game, when they are DC'ing or realizing how hopeless the game actually is.
Well curious to know what the community thinks. 😁
Wow, surprise surprise, it takes 3 slowdowns for Wraith to be "Unbeatable"
Edit: sorry 2, my mind instantly went to PGTW because that's another one of clown's perks

Dead hard being the most used perk still after a rework and a nerf is mindboggling cause survivors see it as a high skill perk now if you can force deadhard consistently getting insane value distance then old dead hard ever could.
Devs are going to have to purposely make this perk bad so nobody uses it and here's how.
1.After use gives the survivor 8% hindered
2.Distance when hit gained -75%
Who cares if it's popular? It's one of the most balanced perks now that BHVR has ever made

So, arguments have been made that if it’s “in the game” it’s a viable strat. Body blocking, face camping, tea bagging, whatever. So with the quit game button, does that make it a viable strat? Say, leaving a game to let a teammate get hatch, prevent the completion of that final Gen. Why is that button there? Say your game is all wonky or glitchy and that’s why it’s there, so you can leave, but you still get a penalty for any reason you push that button. Why not just remove the button?
I mean, this shouldn't be happening every game, so you can afford 5 minutes if that's what you want to do

That's why I said technically, you can't really get any good info, maybe if you see the aura throw a pallet and how there's always a chance that killer can sneak in the hit because hit registration is a thing, or you can just get off and wait and see 10 seconds, I'm not really sure

If you are going to write an answer, please read what you wrote first, thx. Recently there is a reddit post and in the comments there is a lot of people defending Hag saying "Hag is fun" or "I'll miss Hag" or "Hag is fine" etc. I'm not saying Hag is op but she is the one of the most boring killer in DbD. I think players haven't played against a Hag for so long that they've forgotten how boring it is to play against her. I mean playing against a good Hag is equally boring as playing against a bad Hag. (In SoloQ) Hag is most boring to play against killer for me because:
1) You can't loop her because she can make a spot usesless basicly putting a trap. Also a good hag doesn't even chase you if she isn't pushing you into her traps. So only interaction with Hag is when you trigger her traps and get hit. And that takes away almost all of the fun out of playing survivor.
2) Hag's basekit is perfect for camping. All Hag's puts few traps around hooked surv. The survivor who came to help his friend needs to be careful and needs to crouch so as not trigger traps. In this situation if hag decide to camp and tunel she doesn't even need to close the hooked surv. If the hooked surv in open field she can easily push to trade the surv who tries to help hooked friend. Even if hooked surv not in the open field she can easily come back to hook it can cover the distance after hooked surv saved. She can easily camp you much more effectively in a middle range than other killers. And Hag is second best basement camper in DbD (you know the first). Unlike Trapper's traps, Hag's traps have 3 meters range. So if someone hooked in basement you need to go to whole way crouching and need to go up in the same way. And after the person in the basement is saved, you can be sure that Hag is coming there. And in this situation taking hit is certain or she can easily tunnel the other surv (if the other surv doesn't have OTR or you don't have bt).
3) When a surv triggers a trap surv screen auto rotates. Because of that you may accidentally stuck in several objects or you can run in the wrong direction. And its sooooo annoying.
4) Hag is a area control killer. Therefore, a good hag player tries to push the survivors to area where she planted his traps. As a result of this, most of the time (congratulations if you made it this far in the match) there are 3 generators close to each other. And in such a situation, the match will turn into a long, boring and painful one.
5) You need a coordinated team to play against Hag. Since there is neither coordination nor a team game in SoloQ, it becomes extra difficult to play against Hag. (Especially in late game)
6) Add-ons that allow her to teleport the trap what she wants, or make jumpscare invisible when the trap is triggered, also make Hag more annoying.
You aldready have very little chance to win against good Hag player in soloQ. Other than in a new/bad hag player match %90 be like: Hag chases someone like 3-4 jens. Then hag hook that unclucky surv and put 626382 traps around hook and camps. So 1 surv absolutely die.
Hag players are so few because Hag's power is not found entertaining by most killer players. Hag's whole power and gameplay basicly putting trap, pushing survivors into that traps, teleporting the triggered trap and hitting surv and repeating this cycle. Playing against Hag with friends easier than soloQ. But most of the things I mentioned above will still gonna happend, it still won't be a fun match.
Finally, I want to mention last two things. I know there is so few hag players but its not changeing Hag is very boring to play against And I know survivors can use flashlight or flashbangs to destroy the trap. But Hag's traps isn't glowing and when Hag chasing you to her traps flashlight isn't gonna do anything. Also literally all Hag players use Franklins. I hope someday Bhvr remembers Hag and rework her power.
So how a survivor found playing against hag is fun or fine?
Someone somewhere enjoys hag, also most of your points apply to trapper anyways

I just played against a nurse who was toxic, typical "eeeezzz" comments. So I logically ask, how about you play survivor and I play nurse? You can even recruit a team of survivors against my nurse (who I haven't touched in months AND im running yellow perks. He refuses. So I figure let's see how well I do in a solo queue..
- Nurses Calling (Yellow)
- Thanatophobia (Yellow)
- Fearmonger (Yellow)
- I'm all Ears (Yellow)
Map = Crotus Prenn Asylum
Items: In fairness I ran green heavy painting and green ataxic respiration.
Steam rolled 4K, 3 dead w/ 4 gens still up; so I cool it off and let survivor get hatch.
TLDR; Even a scrub pub (PC player) who mains survivor can pick-up nurse and steam roll. Yes. She needs a nerf.
Recommendations: I find that without audio cues, it is definitely difficult to follow-up blink - I recommend that she goes "audio deaf" during the fatigue or permanent reduction to sounds e.g. she shouldn't be allowed to hear footsteps or give survivors a perks that mute movement sound for X seconds...
Yeah well, I get the same results as doc atm, and I've been playing him forever, killers are definitely stronger than before imo
