No, it is a real suggestion, clearly. That is what a mod thought given this merited a move to feedback and suggestions. Lol.

One day our community will realize that voice chat is vaguely necessary. Why people who teabag at exit gates for a living are worried about another one of their kind is beyond me. Just the usual can give it, but can't take it attitude that makes people so fragile nowadays I guess.

I don’t think understanding that it’s end game (a reasonable time to camp) takes that much skill. That’s just me though.
Only us elite face camping lords know when to do it outside of the game. Have you ever seen an average killer just randomly do it? Cringe. Hell, people I consider quite intelligent personally do it at awkward times. There is a real craft to it that salty survivors would never admit, really. But I am willing to bet 1 BILlion face camp bucks that I am better at alpha male face camping than 99.9% of the people who exclusively camp end game. That is a lot of imaginary currency, friend.

Only for fun, which is why I would never learn Artist. Albeit, she is not particularly hard to play... At all?
I have no idea why kind of weird warped gaming genes you have where you struggle as her and excel at Nurse, and I am not even sure I am jealous. I would rather be able to execute basic concepts with ease than randomly have high skill floor stuff mastered.
It is weird to me that so many people who CLEARLY resonate with Nurse do not even like her. I tend to like characters I resonate with regardless because, you know, they are my style? Wraith is my least favorite killer design and lore wise, but hey, I am really good at him. So you know? I play him without crying about it. And if he was the best killer in the game, I would have considered it a jackpot.
Uncle Ruckus Nurse mains be strange. Just in case I was not direct enough about it.
-
How so? Did Zarina For the People You to an escape? I mean, that is really nice and all, but you know, I wouldn't be proud of it. She deserves the credit for getting you out of a 2v1 where you were already hooked.

No, the shadows are dark, and the prince of darkness rules the underworld where demons can see survivors crouching right in front of them.
Lightborn users are the ones who will see nirvana. Shadowborn users are Gigachads, but that lifestyle is not very holy. Let's be real. They have an addiction and I am not one to judge, but they aren't finding salvation anytime soon.

The only solution: stop playing soloQ whatsoever. Dive into the killer queue, get some books to read while you are waiting. This will make the community so much more educated.
The killer queues are not THAT bad. I actually did have to do that (read books) back in my Overwatch days, however. Those queues were literally longer than the queues of dead games. No kap.

I find that as a 110% killer, the survivor just vanishes off into the distance if I try this.
I just used it today on one of those disgusting Haddonfield houses. She ran right back to the window feeling like she was a god tier looper, no doubt. I got the free down and used main event on her corpse. Because how else do you use main event?
-
I kind of want to at the moment, but I have a lot of faith in Mr. Whisker to make DBD great again. So we shall see, plus I want to get the Battlepass and I am nowhere near done, yet.
-
I would believe it, at this point. Every time I am on a stun challenge they give me a Huntress... Or a Doctor... Or a Nurse. Every single time. Not that it matters ever since I got Head On. I will do it against Trickster. No ducks given, bro. Iron Maiden does not frighten me.
-
Whatever, honestly, at this point, I am so sick of survivor that I would be down with it. Screw it.

I just recently stopped using Self Care. Inner Strength (I forget the newer version's name), is a lot better and more efficient. You get your healing in a short amount of time, and potentially knock the killer's hex perks out of the match, kind of a win-win! The only con of using it is hoping no one is using COH because then that's being selfish.
Honestly I did as well. I have been using Dead Hard instead. The "nerf" was really more of buff for my skill level. It is as though I healed with the extra health state, but I did not waste 30 seconds. I run double exhaustion (Head On). So it is really good for messing with the killer because they never expect Dead Hard while I am going for locker plays. They just think I am special needs. Works every time. I will totally heal myself if someone puts a boon up, though. It is not that I am against it so much as ain't nobody got time fo dat.
-
That sounds great. I am just going to cleanse it though, you know I will. Thanks for trying, but it was not very effective.
-
I do not know, I often lose to killers I feel much better than just because stealth is not an option once you head on their fragile egos. After that, you are done for. They REALLY don't like it and will stop at nothing to get you. Lol.
-
I do not know, man. The banner up top even says that sharing codes is against the rules, apparently? Give someone a little power and they abuse it, big surprise.
-
I was watching season 5 of Rick an Morty which is roughly 3 hours in length while my sister played DbD right beside me. Once it was finished, she only made 500k bloodpoints. 3 hours of effort for that? This increased grind is ridiculous. She only brought cake while playing Dredge, but she played him quite a few times during that session.
#BBQ and cake and eat it too
-
As far as I am aware, no. That was not their intent.
-
What? MMR is loose, very loose. But I find it very unlikely you win 19 games out of 20 by 12 hooking, no camping or tunneling whatsoever.
That would be the biggest challenge in DbD. Screw Alf's winstreak, screw the Hardcore Survivor. Child's play. Show me the guy who goes on a 19 winstreak by playing nice. Rofl.

This is exactly what happened.
Starcraft 2 had a problem with pro players smurfing at lower ranks. So they made an 'unranked' queue and a 'ranked' queue, with separate MMRs.
All that happened was that it got so much easier to smurf - pro players would get their ranked MMR super high, and head over to unranked to crack some skulls when they wanted to unwind.
This got so bad that the only way for a less skilled player to get a chill match was, ironically, to play ranked.
That is what Overwatch has become as well, the matchmaking is so bad in quick play that the way to avoid full groups who are higher ranked matching you with gold or silver players is to play competitive. Albeit, their competitive matchmaking is not much better, but at least you avoid playing against GM squads while people who are back to collect skins they already missed because they are so casual are on your team.
-
It is pretty mid. Luckily he is not paid to make these. It is not the worst I have ever seen, do not get me wrong... But if you told me it was from the guy who thinks unhooking should have no counterplay, I would believe you.

Just another example of why I wish the devs would just remove map offerings from the game. The map offerings just exacerbate whenever some abuse or imbalance on a specific map is found that some players want to drive into the ground.
What you're describing isn't necessarily bannable though, it's just irritating. Hypothetically all you have to do is just keep downing and slugging them and they eventually bleed out even if you don't ever hook them.
Not hypothetical. That is exactly what I do and it works like a charm.
-
I agree with the title, at least. The rest was very Sluzzy, so it is hard to endorse. But the general point is there, I suppose.
-
You more or less need to mind game them or bloodlust. The best perk to do this at powerful loops is Bamboozle. It is very underrated and often catches them off guard enough to get a hit even if their positioning was really strong. If it is just a pallet and you cannot get them, I would just break and move on.
-
Gestures is the word you are looking for. I thought you were using a synonym for survivors for a second there, very misleading.

this isn't healthy. these people should be removed from the community, not tolerated or welcomed as a part of it / a fact of life. what the hell, guys.

I don't think that's a fair comparison, very easy way to counter BT...wait 15 seconds, the reassurance value depends on the survivor and how long they can loop around that particular hook
No, it does not depend on their hook looping ability. You can just leave the hook. It is an instant activation. You do not physically have to be there the entire time, fam.

I've found that most people who are jerks will respond to LOL in one of three ways
- They'll keep mocking you, in which case you just keep saying LOL and they get more and more unhinged
- They leave
- They get SUPER pissed that them being a jerk isn't having an effect on you
At least for two of those three, I get to have some fun with it :D
They always go to option 2 when I laugh at them. Which is unfortunate because I only hit them with the "lol" if they were actually funny. I did not want to scare them away! 😩

Luck of the draw.
Myers is a fairly popular killer, especially at intermediate MMRs (it's...always frigging TSP too).
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3140638#Comment_3140638
Just...loop him. He's one of the easiest killers in the game to loop.
He is objectively harder to loop than literally any m1 killer because of those tier 3 bonuses, actually. That being said, generally, yeah... M1 sucks. He sounds new though. A lot of beginners need an extra hit to stay in chase for more than 10 seconds. He instant downs.
Heck, I have gotten a lot better at survivor recently and I still somewhat struggle and would MUCH prefer to play an anti loop killer instead.

I think most people overreacted to the nerf.
It's basically the same on the Killers that are really, really bad without it (Trapper, Myers, maybe even Hag) and a bit weaker on Killers that can use it pretty well but can so just fine without it (mainly Demogorgon), and only bad on Killers that don't need it (like Nurse, Blight or Spirit)
Huh? You can't get a down within 2 minutes on Myers?
Do people even run corrupt on Hag? I thought you were supposed to set up traps near your three gen. Corrupt could potentially funnel them the wrong way, no? I have no clue. I am not a Hag specicialist.
-
@Omans said:
The most effective "strategy" in this game is as you said, hard tunnel the first player you hooked while very lightly checking only the closest gen(s) to that first hooked player.
Before the first hooked player enters second stage you must pretend to chase away survivors coming to save that hooked player. Never actually chase, of course. If they are solo, they will not be able to save because hook grabs are super easy if it is 1v1, and they know that.
It is sad that this skilless play style is rewarded so much.
I go for the 12 hooks every game. It means I don't 4k as much as I could, but honestly tunneling first hook is skilless, boring, and not fun. If killers must play that way because the 'win' is more important to them than the challange (even though match balance is thrown out the window if they play that way), I can't respect them.
What the devs should do: hard nerf that "strategy", hard nerf nurse and Blight, and then hard buff spreading hooks for all killers.
Honestly? Getting a 12 hook game is skilless, or perhaps I should say the skill discrepancy between you and them was so large that a fair game was intrinsically impossible. It does not really matter you drag those games out for 8-10 minutes "playing fair" or just end them in 2 minutes because those survivors are BAAAAAD.
I am not trying to take anything away from you, I am just saying a 3-5 hook game on good survivors is WAAAAAY more impressive. Assuming most did not come from altruism during end game.
That being said, evaluating skill in a party game is kind of cringe to begin with. Even more cringe than judging how others play a game. So I do not really even know what you are getting at? A win only counts if mmr gifts it to you? Lol. Cool.
-
All I can say is that the more you take breaks, the easier it is to leave for good. Had to go through this with Overwatch. After around a dozen breaks, the curse was finally broken.

The idea for a Dead Space chapter would be nice, but I'm not sure how it'd be pulled off. (There's also no way we're getting a dark space map. It might be space themed, but it would not be dark)
The only real issue with Salvor is that there's only 2 items in the game that are Ultra Rare (Iridescent): the rainbow map and skeleton key. So for a player to completely use up one of those items so that they can make a Rare item with a boosted chance for addons is asking for a bit much.
Can't really complain for Tortured Mind, as it seems fine (ignoring the fact that the player running this can just dip out of repairs and avoid the reveal while still reaping the repair boost).
But here's the big question: where killer? Dead Space is best known for the necromorphs, but while it does have human antagonists; they wouldn't translate well to here (at least not like Wesker [I can't think of any other human bad guy in a series with monster/inhuman villians]). So we'd probably get a notable necromorph... but which one would we get, since there is so many options.
Why not just use the generic Necromorph? They did that for Demogorgon. And Necromorph are way better than those naked mole rats.

@D2night said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/341856/why-are-players-like-this-not-banned
Not sure why you have a problem with tbagging. “Tbagging all game long is weirdly contended as OK” so? Lmfao. Do you honestly honestly think that somebody should be banned or even suspended for 5 minutes for tbagging? Lmfao that’s ridiculous. If tbagging offends you then maybe you should stick to games like Mario or some offline game lol. But anyway, those messages weren’t really that bad and I don’t see them being bannable. If you consider curse words as bannable then maybe you’re not old enough for this game (idk some people are literally 12 and play this game so it’s possible) or maybe you should stick to offline games where nobody can hurt you with their words
But you can teabag in Mario. The good ones, at least. Horrible suggestion on your part. You have to recommend a game without crouching. Disco Elysium was the last game I played without crouching. The ending is awful though, I would rather get teabagged than relive that horrific writing.

I thought this was going to be about how most killers I see put on their tunneling pants as soon as they smell a cake in the offerings, but yeah, base bloodpoints could use a boost, especially considering how expensive (sometimes useless) items, add ons and offerings are.
Nah, if they bring a cake, I play nice. No cake equals no mercy.
-
Okay, so what you do to these types of survivors is that you ignore them. They did not even say anything interesting. How could you possibly humor them? I commend you for finding a way, but it was such a waste of your time. It was just a generic "you so bad" which you get when you 4k them at 5 gens, by the way. Not sure if you were aware as you seem relatively new, but that is like their basic defense mechanism. And also lol at mods saying this is not against the rules but penalizing me for calling survivors Mickey Mouse types. I guess I should just get more vulgar and maybe I will be fine.
