Any idea how to fix Tunneling? Here is mine

As i'm sure most people here now know, 90% of solo que games as survivor end up with the killer tunneling someone out super early to win. I don't blame killers who do it, just like survivors who do everything they can to win, so will killers. And i play each about half and half.

The issue though is it drastically affects solo que more than SWF and has essentially ruined the experience. Instead of the new anti-camping perk that looks rife for abuse by SWF, do the change listed below.

Make Decisive Strike basekit and for each hook state. Then make the DS perk increase the stun time from 3 to 5 seconds. So a very similar rework to BT.

Also to counter any cheesy strategies by SWF survivors, make loitering within 8m of a gen for 3 secs and being fully healed "conspicuous actions".

This will primarily help solo que which is seriously needed right now.

  • Whatever, honestly, at this point, I am so sick of survivor that I would be down with it. Screw it.

  • Devs don't care about tunneling and camping. Most of DBD players are killers so they will always cater to their needs. We're meter going to see actual changes to these tactics.

  • I think DS being basekit would be fantastic, but at the moment, it might be a bit too much, considering how unbalanced some maps still are.

Right now I just want them to increase the hook phase duration from 60 to 70 seconds, remove hook grabs, and increase the endurance and haste status effect duration from 5 to 10 seconds.

That would already really help with the issue of camping and tunneling, without going too overboard. The problem is that some killers are still too weak, and there are still some maps that are too survivor sided. But nerfing camping and tunneling in an adequate way is definitely needed at the moment.

Not wanting to burst your bubble, but there aren't even close to 5x the amount of killers then survivors :)

  • Here's my idea!

Revert DS. Then there'll be a threat to tunnelling and it won't be so free anymore, especially during the end game.

  • The idea is good imo but maybe let the "Basekit DS" only activate if the unhooked survivor is the first one downed after unhook and only during the first 60 seconds after unhook. If the killer downs any other survivor first, the unhooked survivor has enough time to escape.

I'm quite sure the devs do care about preventing bad behavior, that potentially are ruining the fun. However most people's perception about "camping" and "tunneling" is very broad, and it has nothing to do with bad behavior. I start believing that people just make some words up to justify mistakes on their part.

Now about DS buff... Who knows, maybe they will take a look at it again. Probably like buffing it to 5 seconds stun, but reducing it's active time to half. 30 seconds instead of 60. Something for something

  • There's no need to take such measures

They need to increase base regression from .25 to .50 and fixing the regression perks around that

To give more value to kicking gens rather then changing everything else
