They need to remove collision to the unhooked person as well because I'm not in the mood to deal with body blockers literally every unhook.

Just tunnel them. Make them regret their decision. They will be crying that emetS did something wrong in no time whatsoever.

  • Who knows with their arbitration. I am not going to lie, I wouldn't be afraid to do it myself. But I am not going to because I prefer the interaction you get from face camping. I sort of enjoy going for grabs even if the validation never works. And I also like to hit them on hook too. So this bug is really not my speed.

  • I am excited for Tuesday, but I wouldn't exactly call that tomorrow...

  • I am a Head On enthusiast. That perk brings me great joy. It has also been helping me get better at chases because killers get REALLY mad at it.

Lightborn is our lord and savior on the killer side. Never do it without protection.

  • Games are meant to be fun, if you are not having fun, it is time to move on. I understand how difficult it truly is. I played Overwatch for 5 years, it was my favorite multi-player game and I loved it. It took literal years upon years of no content and terrible developer decisions with an awful toxic community for me to finally just say, "screw it."

Do not make the same mistake. I know it is generic advice. But it is seriously in your best interest to find something you enjoy.

  • Nah, my useless teammates knowing my build would not help, they would still be just as helpful.

  • That would be a nice buff for it. I actually saw Tokki going for this last night and it was a lot of fun, but I thought she was going to get denied by a locker. Honestly, with how hard it is because survivors would rather throw than get mori'd, that just makes it all the more satisfying to earn.

    2018 is back.

Why are you guys pretending killers ever stopped talking about the rulebook? Am I missing an inside joke?

  • Lol... So that is your strategy? DC enough until Behaviour decides to "Spirit" her away.

Do not get me wrong, I would not mind if all her add ons were Freddy tier. However, it is obvious at this point that they do not really care about pubstomp Nurse.

  • Okay, so if you know the Big 4... Nemesis is basically Anthrax and Wesker is Metallica. Metallica is so popular that people who do not even listen to metal listen to Metallica, and those types have never even heard of Anthrax. Okay, maybe that is a little unfair. Maybe Nemesis is more like Megadeth. Either way, my main point is that even non-Resident Evil fans love that dude and Nemesis made DBD peak despite being pretty meh by RE standards.

In anime terms, Nemesis is like Naruto... Shippuden and Wesker is Dragon Ball Z, baby! He is so much bigger than Nemesis. And while Nemesis is relatively strong, Wesker is almost certainly going to be better. Lots of people who do not care about the IP will play him just because he is pretty unique, fun, and powerful. Things most of our recent killers have not been.

Wesker is going to be YUGE and Slayer is actually the best, by the way.

I never slug for the 4k and I truly don't understand why people do.

The game is already won. At that point it doesn't even feel like part of the game because the result won't change.

Similar to survivors at the exit gate and killers saying "just leave", killers should "just hook" that third player.

For challenges. Some of them require it. It ain't my choice, I could care less if the final girl escapes.

  • I think those are intentional. You can never be too sure with Behavior, but I just consider those part of mastering the saw. Being aware of all the objects that can cause a bump is a key aspect to learning a chainsaw killer.

It is kind of like how a Huntress needs to learn which gaps are real and which ones are illusions.

  • @Sludge said:

I don't see many killers complaining about their queue times. It's mostly survivor mains complaining about killer queue times for some reason.

And they've always been extra long when a new killer releases.

It is part of this narrative they have been maintaining, it is really important to just let them have this and not address it. They do not get much, can't we just pretend our queues are unbearable to provide them with a shred of schadenfreude? Happy survivors are good for the game, and they are happy at our perceived suffering.

  • @Hex_Ignored said:

I don't think anyone enjoys facing mending simulator

I do. I do not mind Legion at all. I am not the best survivor, so playing against such weak killers allows me to feel like I am good at the game which is a nice sensation.

  • It would solve so many solo queue issues, but survivor mains rightfully know that their kind is not to be trifled with and they are justifiably afraid of communications from fellow survivors. I do not blame them one bit.

  • @Nazzzak said:

Yup. I feel guilty asf doing challenges in games now. I feel like I need to be on a gen or I'm throwing the game for the team.

I do not feel guilty at all. I do what I have to do. I do not like it and I would prefer not to, but I have no regrets.

  • It is not that much better on console. I guess maybe it helps when they are spinning like crazy you and correct your angle mid lunge, maybe it works in that moment? I have no idea. I doubt I would notice if it was turned off.

  • Yes. If you camp... As in stay around an area, in this case, a generator; you are camping a generator.

There is nothing wrong with it. Just like there is nothing wrong with tunneling or gen rushing... But they certainly exist. Even if people from the Twilight Zone tell you it doesn't exist because in their realm they cannot figure out the compound terminology. Or they just don't "believe" as though their opinion on the tactic's validity magically makes it non-existent.

Now, unlike those two aforementioned boogeyman of the community, camping a generator is low-key throwing. So I have no idea why they got triggered about it. Albeit, typically you camp a three gen as opposed to a singular one and you only ever really do that if you need it to regress badly and they, for whatever demented reason, will not leave.

  • @CluelessWanderer said:

If they really cared about camping they'd get rid of hook grabs.

Exactly, and they don't. Because unhooking should have counterplay. It is one of the signs that they DO understand game design better than your average forum goer.

  • Eh, I disagree. High mmr killer was annoying as hell and I would rather play solo queue. So did the entire high mmr killer community which is why the concept of "high mmr" is more or less erased nowadays. The devs got scared and made mmr extremely loose.

  • @Biscuits said:

Wesker is looking to be a lot of fun to play, on top of a pretty decent killer. I can only see the queues times getting much worse for killer after the patch.

Nah, with queue incentives, those survivors will fall back in line and do their jobs. Even while they were "protesting" queues were instant for them. All for a pinch of BP. They are sellouts, fam.

  • But, like... Quick and Quiet does that now? With the added benefit of being able to spam the killer when needed. The old version sounds wack.

  • Is it like the outhouse in Overwatch where you would only know if you were an OG?

  • You just need to find a Giga Chad who respects No Mither. A Wraith gave me a free escape because he saw my heart and determination. I too give No Mither survivors a free escape, and lots of value. I will slug the ever living stuffing out of them, so they get to pick themselves up a lot. Anyone who wears No Mither is a king or queen.

  • He is a good killer, so of course survivors will cry. They do that even when the killer sucks, to be fair. But Wesker is genuinely good. We are going to bathe in the Nile of salty tears come release.

  • @Yords said:

why didn't you go do gens tho

He did 2 gens, his teammates did 1.

  • @Tsulan said:

Ugh... this build looks so beneficial for your team...

And he is going to keep running it and ruining games because that tome challenge is ridiculous. I blame the developers, not him.

So your logic is that I should lose my only chance of survival because I literally “tapped” a button? The whole point of a conspicuous action is to prevent you from using anti tunneling perks oppressively, and like I stated in the OP, it’s not oppressively it’s literally me running for my life for my survival. Seems like you don’t quite fully understand it

No, that is literally the opposite of what I typed.

I definitely understand it, and I can read your posts. So that gives me a credibility that you cannot claim for yourself, fam. It is almost certainly just you that does not understand as the developers have it this way for their set of logic, and why two separate users are also trying to explain it to you.

I am sorry you feel that way, but it is what it is. Hopefully they buff it for you?

If the door was open I would have a “guaranteed” escape from bt anyway

That is the keyword. If. In other words, it was never guaranteed.

With BT and opening the exit gate it would literally have been guaranteed, no need for the quotes. I am not sure what you do not understand about it, but trust me. It does actually make sense even if you can't follow the logic.

Albeit, I personally feel that this scenario is so situational that I would not mind if survivors kept borrowed for exit gates myself. But for the sake of consistency, I understand their reasoning.

  • Huh? Clearly Windows of Opportunity is what needs nerfed, it is picked more than FREAKING dead hard! That means it is busted!!!1!!

  • Just make her add ons Freddy tier and I bet 90% of the complaints would stop and perhaps people would give Nurse players the respect they deserve.

Why do people always end their sentences with three periods… it’s really confusing… is it just a habit or a trend…

Maybe it is just because I am contemplative...

  • I am not sure if I am alone, but I REALLY love playing him on the Game. Even though I am a sus Blight, that map makes me feel like I know what I am doing.

  • @KerJuice said:

I don’t know why y’all entertain these guys. When the match goes left, open the exit gate after the last gen is done & move farthest away from the gates till they leave. As soon as the match is over, go to your next match immediately. Do not even stick around for endgame chat.

Why not just force them out? I actually never have to force a bully squad out as I basically run a build specifically to counter them. But those stealth genrush squads wreck me and I definitely have to force them out as I am not about to wait 2 minutes. They are super easy to force out because they are very scared of getting caught out.

The bully squad types probably wouldn't be as afraid, but that is even more reason to keep playing as you might get one of them. They usually go for swag over securing their win to be perfectly honest.

  • @Lekitzul said:

Honestly, there is only 1 reason I disco. If you are an aggressive tunneler. Like, I understand it's a strat, but if no gens have been popped and you literally tunnel someone out of the game without even TRYING for other people, I just don't want to play anymore. It's a game, and your not giving someone a shot to play, you also get very minimal points because you literally don't get a chance to do anything. Even with sluggers, I try to just take myself into a corner so they don't get the hook. I just don't get the appeal, we already have long wait times, why would you bother loading into a game, waiting through the queue and just bully someone out of the match basically? Even when my objective is to kill the obsession, I at least try to give the other people a hook or two before I kill them. :/

But why do you believe a slugger cares about a hook? I see you guys doing that all the time, but really, I think the aspect that you overlooked is that perhaps I would hook you if I wanted a hook. I already got the down. Not much would stop me from just taking it unless you are under a pallet and I am getting swarmed (but at that point I am going to get a different down anyways, so it does not matter too much). I feel you are really hurting yourself with that attitude. You just give me what I want in literally either scenario (where you DC and make it a 3v1, or where you crawl into a corner and bleed out).

I am just suggesting that perhaps you are ruining your own fun more than mine. I am not sure if you think you are special or something, but a LOT of survivors act that way. Even if it did bother me, somehow, I would be so used to it by now that it would not fetter my experience.

CoH should have got gutted not self care

Ad much as I despise Self Care it was like a safety blanket for people, it sucks to ser that taken from them.

I am glad they took it from me. I am already much better at the game without that crutch. It forced me to adapt and now I have finally found the most fun survivor playstyle for me.

Not really, Nurse is objectively the best killer in DBD by any metric you can possibly reasonably measure by. Only one other killer (Blight) comes close to challenging her, and even then he doesn't really stand a chance.

Except for her killrate which is basically the only statistic they share with us. Lol.

  • Why are you flexing how happy your life is to us depressed folk? Can't you just enjoy getting morbed by the Nurse? That would be like the best day of my life.

  • They should add a perk as the solution. A measuring tape perk would be great to address this problem.

  • Okay, so they threatened to ban me if I ever admitted to my internet dropping. So to be clear, that has absolutely never, ever happened. My internet is flawless. But anyways, purely hypothetical, if I were to DC, it would have not even been my fault. I would blame the monopoly on isp.

Again, that never even happened. I am just playing devil's advocate. Never DC ever, it is bad and actually bannable unlike locker room banter that survivors have post game.

  • 6 downs is easy, though. You do not even need to hook and you can down the slug again once they get picked up. Just pick Bubba and it is basically his daily plus 2. You can even camp if you want and get 2 downs for the price of one.

  • That's not a bad idea. I would also change using it at end game, perhaps the new version is what activates at end game. I do not care too much, it can stay, but I feel bad watching killers try to secure their kill and getting disgraced. Lol.

  • There is a discrepancy between killer players and survivor players. Not enough survivors during the day, Murican time. I suggest playing at night if the queues are a deal breaker.

Why did you go into a topic about Shattered Hope just to derail it with killer vs survivor side bias from the devs conspiracy BS?

Just the first post and you're like, "Let me not respond to the topic at all and instead just derail it with childish nonsense."

For Shattered Hope, it might be nice if it had another secondary effect too. I kind of agree it would be nice if it did something when boon totems didn't exist, but I'm at a blank for anything that would fit. I think doing anything with dull totems would end up encroaching on other perks. You can use Hex: Undying to see people blessing totems after all.

Maybe really stupid, but what if it could be used on Hex Totems? There are several trap Hex totems where having a perk to choose when you activate it could be really nasty. Imagine Haunted Grounds or Retribution on demand? Or to say, "Hey Ruin is about to become useless let me break it and replace it with Pentimento." Or combined with Hex: Plaything/Pentimento? Then it would have a place in certain Hex builds too. I'd say the aura reading part of the perk couldn't work when breaking hex totems, but it might be a crazy idea that might give it some utility beyond boons?

I'd definitely say it can't possibly break dull totems though.

I was answering the OP's question. The developers being survivor biased is not a killer versus survivor topic. I know you people love to call out "us versus them" any time they are compared for whatever reason, but I did not derail anything. That is what this topic is about. Probably another case of forum goers reading the title and not the post because you are the second person confused by this. Shame.

    Uh huh, cool.

Shattered Hope already does its job, why does it need a secondary effect? You use it to counter boons and it will gain more value in the future.

I would be down with that idea, but again, I do not feel that Hex totems are Boon totems just because they are, ironically the killer and survivor based. Funny how you can magically rationally compare the two when you aren't triggered by facts.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3152913#Comment_3152913

On which world using perks is abusing lol? And except CoH, all boons are garbage anyway, i am hardly seeing them.

If you have problem with boons, it is on you. Devs will not perks because you are bad at game, you should learn and adapt. It is not hard, i swear.

They might. I mean, the developers recently killed Thanatophia specifically because players were bad at the game and refused to learn and adapt. I would not feel confident about predicting anything they do based on community reaction. All sorts of crazy stuff has happened for the cry baby types.

  • The community IS nice and wholesome. There are a few bad apples, as there are in any given community. That is unavoidable. But this is definitely one of the most positive gaming communities I have ever been a part of. It is great and letting random end game trolls devalue that for you is sad. If you fixate on them, you are not going to see all of the good.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3152958#Comment_3152958

I did indeed say those two things, and I also gave the reason at the same time? It fundamentally undercuts the purpose of boon totems, that's the reason. It's completely at odds with the way they're designed, and renders them incapable of actually performing their intended function.

Also, hey, you made a post on a public forum, people are allowed to respond to it lol

So... Because it is counterplay, it should not exist unless it is in the form of a perk? To be clear, I do not even believe Shattered Hope should be basekit. But that reason is shoddy, fam.

I never said you could not respond. I just do not know why you are doing it to me and then pretending that I am off topic. It is weird.

  • Get a better headset. That should help. For real. This is not even a joke.

  • Survivors reveal me just fine and I reveal Ghostface players just fine. I am not sure it is buggy, maybe your "muscle memory" is just screwy. I would mess around and try to do it slightly differently to see if you get better results. I would need to see what you were doing to actually help, but I would just experiment a bit with it next time you run into him instead of playing the match out normally.

  • Definitely a justifiable reason to report. Hold that L, bozo. /s
