It was a weird ritual when I was learning the game, but now? I am very efficient at pushing them out quickly. I honestly don't even notice if they BM or not as the egc is as natural as gen defense. It is like a literal gameplay phase to push them out if you don't 4k. Lol.
I sometimes troll them by making them wait the 2 minutes. But ONLY if I have pallets/walls to break. So typically Midwich, Game, or Dead Dawg Saloon are the exceptions.

For me personally it’s mainly the fact NOED is not suitable for HEX perk. Why?
- Most of the instadown perks have certain prerequisites to be met, such as hook x people, let x people unhook from safe distance to active. This isn’t case for NOED, you have to wait until lategame for it to work and pray for at least one totem that is up.
- Since waiting for lategame isn’t really something you work for, it promotes poor gameplay, basically rewarding camping and tunneling, while relying on people to push gens instead of destroying all totems.
- Because of point 2, killers, who play the “normal” way usually get rewarded less, hence the whole idea of high risk - high reward doesn’t apply here., which brings me back to point 1, the perk isn’t a good fit for HEX.
This isn’t case for NOED, you have to wait until lategame
That is the prerequisite, fam...

It will never not be depressingly funny to me how much easier it would have been to tweak the old emblem system a little bit to be more punishing and we would have a significantly more reliable method than this eScape Based MatchMaking.
The old emblem system was so bad that it makes mmr look liked they planned it for 2 years.
-
Double standards? Here? In Dead by Daylight? Surely you are mistaken. Nothing of the sort has ever occurred, least of all by a humble survivor.
-
Just practice against a real killer. It is easy enough to just do what your average survivor does when on my team... Absolutely nothing, and wait for the moment to strike. Aim it at their ears and you still might get the stun with a pinch of luck.
-
Because it was obscenely broken and utterly overpowered. I cant believe it took this long to tweak that busted add on.

I'm playing less and less killer nowdays. 2 days ago i put my killer pants back on and went to play some ghosty and after 4 deathsquad matches where i got 2 hooks and survivors insulting me in the end game while abusing CoH headon and flashbangs, i took those killer pants back off.
I feel like eather i get total potatoes against me that dont even know im the killer and stand infront of me or i get the deathsquads 3-4 man swfs which abuse everything they can in the map while making me feel really crappy.
While I was against one of those squads, they hopped into a locker and I was like, "you think I give a [redacted]?" and got hit with DS, as always, until... They jumped back in. I desperately tried to back away and to the side of the locker, but to no avail. They got the head on and after I tunneled them out completely, they said I sucked. RIP.

Had it though?
To OP, i don't know. I don't keep track of how much bp i earn. I find the game more enjoyable once i stopped worrying about it.
Stopped using bbq on every build and started experimenting with other perks and the game is so much more enjoyable for me
I am so jealous, I want to drop Barbecue so badly, and I am almost at that point, I feel. There is not much else I care to hard-core grind for until Ringu releases.
-
Am I the only one that actually likes the Game? Surprised to hear so many people treat it like Badham. Anyways, my least favorite is probably Legion on Badham because I just had a horrific experience there. Lol. It might change tomorrow if I get that map again.
-
I was just leveling Nurse, I guess. Pretty mad because I wanted all of it to go to Clown, but they are just waiting to remove the masks, or whatever. Heck, you would think with the announcement of their removal, more people would wear them and troll as Bubba, but it magically didn't happen. Almost as though this wasn't a genuine problem.
It sucks that I lose my cosmetics AND the opportunity to quickly level Clown. I got kind of screwed.
-
Day time is easy mode, but you need to wait in queue. Night time is full of Twitch SWF clowns, but the queues are lightning fast. So I play survivor during the day and killer at night to have minimal wait time. I specialize in disgracing boosted flashlight Sabo squads. Gg ez, baby survivors.
-
Make teabagging disable their DS and make Legion blast crunkcore in their headset while they are in deep wound. I will never ask for another change again.

Well that first post is pretty obviously sarcastic when you open it up.
I disagree, the second one was pretty obviously sarcastic and the first was quite serious.

They are bad at the game. Anytime anyone calls any perk or killer low skill after getting destroyed by it, well, you know, it says a lot about them.
-
I mean, news is news. Even if that news is "soon ™️".

I do.
I saw many Survivors try that and fail miserably, just like I saw many good plays with it too.
Its chance of success relied heavily on its user, but it was a cool thing nonetheless.
Such a shame it was removed.
Yeah, it sounds like there was a HUGE skill curve to that. Wish they would promote gameplay like this instead of interactive gameplay.
-
Why would grabs need to be validated when they have no relevant impact on gameplay? Validation is for key mechanics of the game such as dead hard, silly.
-
The way it is now is very easy on consistent ragers, but highly punishing to people who have rage issues. Quite frankly, 15 minutes flat would do better for everyone. Those losers who do it to spite people would think twice and the anger management crowd is less likely to quit entirely.

@IamFran said:
Because the killers have more reasons to complain.
90% of survivor complaints are about camping, tunneling and NOED and are the only reasons they can complain about I think, because that three things are frustrating. I can understand it.
However killer complaints are more numerous: gen speeds, plenty of survivor sided maps, CoH, Dead Hard, SWFs, Hit Validantion, Tbagging/clickyclicky and the simple fact of being the most streesful side.
Surely hit validation is a survivor concern? The devs use a favor the killer scenario, so it makes literally no sense that they would complain about that? Like???
-
Remove Decisive Strike and watch the survivors crumble. They won't be calling it useless once it is gone, no. They will cry and beg, threaten to quit the game. It would be beautiful.
Remove BBQ just to piss off every killer out there.
-
Without his knives, I would easily take Trickster. Not to brag, I mean, most people could. That is the only one that sounds actually fun. People keep bringing up Hag, but I do not want to get scratched, or whatever disease she is carrying. No thanks, bruh.
-
It clearly didn't if you read what killers people believe are strong or weak. They are playing pre mmr during mmr. Lol.

While I have compassion for the difficulties that killers face, I hope Mr Baldy doesn't get a buff until after they improve matchmaking. I only play solo and let me tell you, Mr Baldy is a solo crusher. Everyone is too afraid to do the box and no one knows how to loop him.
Then do box duty yourself? I have no problems with him as solo because I take the initiative. Do not get me wrong, sometimes you are tunneled or the timer comes when you are not in position. That feels bad when your teammates literally ignore his counterplay. But I would never ask for him to be balanced around those situations...
-
You suck unless you 2 hook everyone. Never tunnel, and give hatch. In which case, you just might get a gg in return. Perhaps. Probably... Not.
-
I don't care. They need to fix survivor queues. While they wait on that, I will enjoy my instant queues. I can dodge a lobby just because I don't like the Claudette's shirt and probably be done with that match before the Claudette finds a killer. Rofl.
-
Killer mains are a sensitive group of individuals, I suppose. Low self esteem that survivor mains take advantage of at every turn. I feel bad for them, I genuinely do. But it is up to them to solve this problem they have.
-
As a Bubba OTP, he doesn't frighten me. I will unhook. And yeah, with Slippery Meat DS, there is always a chance.
-
Slowdown builds are not really strong against good survivors. That was efficient pre mmr when you had a potato mixture.
Regardless, you might actually be that mmr and overestimate the average player. Most people who place this game are very sus. So if you aren't sus, automatic high mmr. Simple as that.
-
Yes, I agree, the Bubba situation didn't irritate people for the precedent it set, really we are just baiting. It has all of the components of bait when you think about it. Such as trying to upset people who are happy it was removed... Or something?
-
He needs SOME weakness or they would be coming for him. It is not that much worse than it is for your average m1 killer regardless.

*extra emphasis on “horrible teammates”
I always get those. That is nothing new to me. Actually, funny story, the whole reason I started playing DBD was specifically to play a game where I didn't have teammates. I was getting so sick of them and if this didn't work, I was just going to return to fighting games instead. Lol.

I'll definitely do it as survivor when people bring Haddonfield or RPD, like if you're gonna brign stuff that's gonna encourage the player to have to play in an unfun way, why would I wanna stick around?
Those queue times... I just don't care. I see rainbow colored paid cosmetics or full p3 squads with flashlights and toolboxes... And I just stay. I know what will happen to me as the offerings screen plays out and the killer brings an obvious Mori, but I can't stomach another queue.

Smart survivor didn't want to become a victim of circumstance and deal with the inevitable slugging.

And it is still not enough.
I want to be alive when the nerfs stop. I need to live to see it. I want to be a part of that peaceful world, but I know it won't happen... I will never see the end for myself. This is my existential crisis.

It's been so bad lately in the evenings. Somehow worse than old ranked matchmaking. Terrible teammates on survivor and complete babies when I'm on killer. The system seems to completely break when there are a lot of players in queue. It just starts pairing everyone up with whoever is next available. I should never be getting survivors with around 200 hrs when I'm closing in on 4000. Who is having fun in that game?
I had a crazy game where someone was blowing up my gen and I tried to save someone else around a pallet after they got downed, but they crawled away and gave up my position. And the other teammate I had no seen yet no gen popped in like 2 minutes despite the person blowing up the gen every 15 seconds and I finishing one ourselves.
The killer... Rage quit. I was so relieved because I thought we were going to get our cheeks clapped. I had zero faith in my squad, but I guess they did good enough to make what I can only assume was a baby killer, leave in frustration.

Why get mad at teabagging? The same reason people get upset at car horns. Made worse when you can't honk back.
Huh? What reason is there for getting upset that you drive poorly? Honking back is not going to take back any respect. Hop out, homie.
I digress, you can teabag back as Ghostface. I highly recommend him if dunking hurts your feelings.

You don't need good trap spots to play Basement Trapper. Always remember that, young one.
-
They weren't looking at you properly. They need to stare into your eyes and ask you why you call him Scream.
-
I do not believe there is one confirmed yet, I hope the 21st, or 22nd... Whenever this Blood Hunt ends.
-
You should have walked near hatch, dropped them, and as they got closer... Slam it on their face and nod while you let them bleed. That will show them.
-
I would not have realized he meant grandma by saying nan. I am American, here... We don't do that.
-
Sniping is easy. Sniping them after crows are on them? Eh...

If I am farming, I am farming. They can do gens or DC if they want out. It is not any of my business.

Finally, some quality content. Saving the image for later.

I don't believe he is a good killer just because he is a noob stomper. That kind of logic is what gets Pig nerfed every other patch.

Leatherface for the free 6k shards and BBQ. Nothing gets even close to that value. I would save the other 500 to see if Ringu is decent.

I'd love some more skins for Neme but, honestly, there's not really a whole lot to pick from. We've got the original one and, well, that's really about it because my other idea of a heavily mutated/damaged skin was kinda covered a bit with the blighted skin. We could see him have the mask but, I'd probably just have to be released as a single piece to buy. Maybe they could do some legendary skins, I could see that being a thing for him like Ustanak for example just with, you know, a added tentacle. xD
Exactly, there is realistically only one viable option, so where it at though?

I don't think fun is a measure for DBD balancing. You can flip everything you just said around because running ultra-safe god pallets as an M1 killer isn't exactly fun or interactive either. But guess what? That happens alot more than tombstone myers killing people.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2756260#Comment_2756260
Having more than double the stalk time is not "no slowdown or anything to speak of". It's the survivors fault for feeding myers. Tombstone myers has NO PRESSURE at all until he reaches tier 3. A good team can easily finish the first 3 gens or more in that timeframe.
But here's the thing...most survivor teams are not good. So like how people think Bubba is OP they think tombstone is OP because bad survivors get dunked by it. I say too bad, git gud. Tombstone is fine.
It literally isn't viable. I am baffled that people think it is overpowered. Like... I hope this is all an intricate attempt to troll because all of the obvious ones have desensitized us.
