Their response was "we don't want creator drama on our website" basically.
I know of a way they could prevent that... It starts at the core of the issue. Lol.

Can I just... Facecamp someone and one hook them instead? Sounds easier. How about for my challenge I do it without Bubba and instead use Pinky Finger Clown to make it really difficult for myself? Yeah, sounds good.

It took 850 people 2 years to implement the most basic MMR system imaginable? How is it even possible? By the productivity of BHVR I was sure it was no more than 50, what do other 800 even do there?
They crank out regular killers and maps (reworks), to be fair. That is likely what the bulk of employees are working on in one way or another. I mean, it is more content than I am used to in most of the games I play that aren't gacha, realistically. I guess it is kind of sad when I put it that way...
-
Maybe? I have Genshin and Overwatch events too. It all kind of depends on how these events shape up. I need to see how long they last, what the rewards are, blah blah blah. For instance, as far as I am aware, our Tome doesn't start until the 26th. So it might be wise to skip DBD for that day.
-
I agree with everyone else, those teammates are trying to gaslight you. Escape means everything. They are maybe just jealous it wasn't them who escaped. How petty.

What does your mother have to do with this? Are they accusing you of swapping with your mom who is clearly the superior killer and therefore your win was illegitimate as you are gaming the perfect mmr system? Survivor mains have no standards...
-
I misread this as overrated as was like, "right on." And now that I know the truth, all I can do is give you le sigh.
-
I hate these Bubba love threads.
-
Imagine dying to killer that got ran for 5 gens? Omegalul, that is more cringe my average posts. Peepoblush.
-
But how will they address my Lightborn toxicity?
-
Give every killer the ability to teabag and buff Ghostface to dab instead.
-
The game is blatantly survivor sided; HOWEVER, Otz and company proved that realistically that doesn't matter when survivors on average are as bad as they are. They are overly altruistic, get triggered as easily as they think click and bags bother killers, and sometimes decide not to run the perks that make the above statement an objective truth.
That is why the conversation is so gray and people water it down to whoever is playing the most "sweaty" wins as that is usually the outcome in most instances realistically speaking. In a practical setting, it is anyone's game. If both sides come to bang, survivors are going to win. But they rarely ever do which is why I can understand some solo players feeling the exact opposite as... Let's be real, more killers are playing seriously and to win as that style is more accessible. A lot of the "tough" competition are just swf trying to have fun as opposed to a swf wanting to reach top mmr.
But that's just a theory.

I played against a camper Leatherface at least 3 times in a row.
This happened in the evening so usually there are fewer players.
After the last game, I waited a few minutes. After maybe 10 minutes I search for a match and I got a different player.
If you are playing against the same player, try to wait a few minutes until they find another lobby.
At night, you found probably get away with just waiting a little under one minute. The queues are quite fast as it gets late.
-
What about us Bubba that go on 3 minute chases and still get only 2 kills? Hmm?
-
I am really jealous. I need to get better at survivor so that I can get into a game with Sluzzy one day.

Starstruck has never really affected me as a survivor. I've been downed once in the number of times I've seen it. It's garbage and a waste of a killer perk slot if you ask me.
The problem is that it warns you. Any time I got close to help and that sound plays, I just dip before the killer even knew I was there.
-
It is definitely up there for me. I have such nostalgia for Overwatch and spent 5 years playing it, so I might lean on that, but I would be lying if I said I didn't prefer DBD at this point. Then again, maybe I would hate both if I had been playing this for 5 years too. Lol.

Bill is free in all ways he can be. On Steam the character is free and automatically included with the game and you unlock his perks via the teachables system, on other platforms his perks are part of the general perk pool if I remember right.
The actual promo deal aspect of Bill's inclusion in the game seems to pretty much 100% be that people might think "Hey this guy is cool, maybe I should check out L4D(2) to get more Bill in my life", not making money from selling him for his perks.
He was free (base game) to me on Playstation, and I had to level him to get his teachables which was easy as he was the only survivor I played before I purchased Nancy.

Good lord, basekit BT would be an awful idea. When will Behavior learn that the best way to discourage camping is to offer killers a better alternative. Camping isn't fun for anyone, but it happens because it is rapidly becoming one of the only remaining tactics to get consistent kills in this game. I've said it once and I'll say it again. Camping only works if survivors let it work. Giving them a way to say "killer is camping, do gens" would be a much better way to go. All basekit BT would do is give survivors yet another perk slot to run another second chance perk while completely missing why killers feel the need to camp in the first place!
Is it really a second chance if they have 4 of them? Ayy.

Are you mad? 20s? In todays meta that's half a gen that you can do nothing, but watch pesky survivors dance circles around you.
Sadly Bubbas kit works exceptionally well to facecamp, but if you don't do that, he is a pretty awesome killer that puts the fear back in survivors.
Nowadays survivors don't fear any killer anymore, have so many second chance perks that some don't know where to put them and disrespect the killer whenever possible. All this cute shenanigans don't work against Bubba, for when you joke around, you risk going down asap and unglamorous. Bubba is what all Killers should be: a menace that's dangerous to be around and whoms attention you wanna evade as much as possible, not someone whom you seek out to play around with and torment till you are bored and finish your 5th gen casually.
And because of this they hate him, for they want this last reminder of the fear of old gone. Gone and forgotten. But Bubba only smiles, revves and saws and you better stop complaining and start running.
You are right, 20 seconds is too short. 40 seconds is much better so he guranteed loses the gen upon canceling a rev.

I get my share of salt on Dbd too, but i get more nice messages so i leave my dms open. Never know if you might make a new friend. Last time someone came at me in my dms with a rage boner i reported them and sony took care of it surprisingly quick.
Indeed. I am not very social, so I never make any friends, but I keep mine open just to prove to myself that not everyone is a toxic rat. There are a lot of good people who play this game. I need that reminder, sometimes, as I am extremely misanthropic but still want to be proven wrong.
-
I get the same survivors twice in a row now and again as killer. It has never happened to me as a survivor, though.
-
No offense intended, but you did die to a killer that you admit is pretty mediocre. The mmr adjustment seems warranted.

Actually, it seems selfish to expect everybody else to be totally OK with your internet problems. It’s literally impossible for the game to know whether you DC’ed because you rage quit or because of a network issue. The game experience is terrible for everyone when the DC penalty is disabled, and to expect the tens of thousands of other players put up with a much more terrible game experience because you are having network problems is in my view very selfish. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it is true
The opposite is selfish as well, so if that is the only foundation to the argument, it is not a particularly good one.

Its depend, if its early-mid game when there are other teammate, its a way to avoid a hook.
If Im the the last survivor, why should I crawl away? I die anyway. But still, there is no other reason Killer let me to crawl that far right after downing me.
If Im the 3rd survivor slugged and Killer go for 4K, well Killer wasted my time first. Unless the 4th survivor is nearby and spotted, then understandable.
They are probably playing around DS. Doubt it is anything personal. You learn really quickly as a killer not to even give the chance anything funky to happen when your victory condition has already been met.

I do consider face camping at the beginning of the game toxic. It does nothing but ruin the game (even killers won't benefit much from it if the survivors are smart). However, I do understand camping when gens are done, or the last one is about to be completed. That makes sense.
You are sort of correct. Your best bet is to have them save early and tunnel that person of hook and camp their second stage. So yes, camping immediately is not very efficient, but committing to a victim that you will camp early is very necessary or you might not have time to secure it later.

Thats what happens if killer lose their easy mode gameplay.
Deathslinger was really jank in my opinion. I consistently had top percentile accuracy in Overwatch, which, I know the hitboxes are pretty huge in that game. But you know, top 1% over multiple heroes... And landing his spear gun on even low mmr survivors is a struggle. I do not know what it is, but I feel he was/is far from easy mode. And watching a lot of high level Slinger mains, they rarely go for cheeky shots and instead rely on those "guaranteed" ones.
I personally feel if he functioned like actual shooters, he would have been as broken as they claimed he was. So in order to keep him in check, they made him clunky as hell.

I wear Lightborn because that perk failed me and I got blinded at the side of my head. I promised myself never again, leveled Billy, and became one with the Light. No regerts.

It makes balance exciting, you never know what will happen next! Well, other than Pig getting nerfed every other patch. They should mix that up a little bit. Getting predictable.

That is a great question and I doubt they themselves even have an answer for you.

I feel like Overwatch toxicity surged once they added the chat to console. It just isn't worth it, in my opinion.

It would be nice, but I don't know if it would change anything. Overwatch gives a lootbox and gold for playing the tank role and its still the most in demand role across multiple ranks.
Though, overwatch is has nothing on the dbd grind. But if people don't find something fun, very rarely can you pay them to play it.
The value of the gold is far less, however. I have 120k extra myself and I do not even play that much anymore, and really haven't since the 5th anniversary of Dead by Daylight. I still get every skin, though, because, you know, I can afford them.
To be fair, there are people like that in DBD who are caught up with the grind. But Overwatch hasn't had content in like 2 years. So mostly anyone playing regularly has literally no use whereas even the regulars here might want some items and add ons to replenish their stock.

It was psychological warfare, like waterboarding someone for several days.
After which, many survivors would be begging for the sweet release of death and then willingly throw themselves on the hook.
It sounds glorious...
-
I could never be mad at you, Pizzasauce. I would however recommend an alternative account. That might help you out a bit.
-
Dungeon Master? Why do you have to make this so unreasonably kinky?
In all seriousness, when it comes to toxicity, it is subjective as to what bothers people. I can see why people being rude just because you are playing to win could be perceived as toxic.
For me it was Overwatch where your own teammates were essentially enemies and would counterintuitively throw games to project blame, and talking to Overwatch players, they often found the generic slurs found in games like Counterstrike to be peak toxicity.
It just depends on what they value, I suppose. I do not mind old school Modern Warfare lobbies or survivor mains acting a fool too much. Your own homie throwing a fit, though? Nah. It made me hard throw so many games just because I wanted that person to have a bad time.

The EGC begins when The Killer or any Survivor opens the gate, not a second sooner. The EGC has a particular purpose; it perfectly achieves that goal, thus requiring no change. Some killer players want everything to benefit or become a tool for The Killer; EGC will never be that.
@Emeal tensions are high and the Survivors are pushed up as soon as the EGC begins, not any sooner.
Perfect is a strong word when hackers literally prevent the game from ending because egc doesn't work.

But if they do, their kill rate does go over an average of 3, doesn't it?
Considering the rank difference between kill rates under the emblem system was quite considerable, I wouldn't be too surprised if high MMR actually showed higher kill rates. I know people seem convinced that the game is survivor sided, but there's never been any substantiation of that idea beyond the anecdotal or theoretical.
And even if 'playing like you do' is a requirement, that still impacts the overall balance. Only way you could argue for better balance for non-camping/tunnelling/slugging playstyles is if those playstyles were nerfed, and we already know the forums don't want that.
Good point, I always just assume most killer mains write it off as boring, or that you are an awful human being, etc. However, if high mmr killers are committed to the lifestyle, I certainly suspect the kill rates would be respectable. Especially from killers who actually know what they are doing when it comes to playing dirty. No offense to Otz or whatever, but you know, getting all emotional while playing and the "wait and see" attitude really fetter your ability to properly play in an optimal fashion. I am sure he is capable of it, but he just despises doing it which makes it a tad sloppy, in my opinion.
I know I am biased, but I genuinely do not believe removing these playstyles would result in balance. I know people don't want to hear it, but I am nothing special. Survivors literally just throw games for me. Not going to lie. It is the cold hard truth. If I couldn't force them to do that, the competent survivors would eviscerate me. But this is all hypothetical, I suppose we will never truly know!

Something I don't understand with this argument is how a HUD saying what survivors are doing affects map awareness. As SoloQ myself, I am not aware of what my team is doing unless I actually see it. If I cannot see what my team is doing, that's not bad map awareness. It's just how it is. A SoloQ player will not know what is happening around the map all the time with fellow survivors.
It doesn't stop me from being observant to what I can see, spotting which directions a survivor is running to, etc., so honestly for me this won't have any effect in terms of map awareness. It's just knowing they aren't hiding in a locker.
I'd also consider that, if survivors have that HUD, then could a killer share a similar thing? Not to say where they are, but to say what is happening, at least in terms of who is doing generators. It will create a new type of approach towards the game. Could make it fresh.
Bro, coming from Overwatch, you hear the craziest stuff about how people perceive what happened. And that is when everyone is grouped and they are often dead able to watch from your perspective. It is legit scary what is wrong with people's minds. Like, there is genuinely something "off" and lowkey it is more horrific than any of the movies we have licenses to in DBD. Lol.
I digress, yeah. No way you could tell what your team was doing unless there are a lot of context clues and/or aura reading.

Well, truth hurts.
Yeah, do not listen to him. It exists. I used to be a part of it myself but they kicked me out for leaking top secret killer main agendas. It was just a minor infraction based on the killer rule book, but now that I am no longer part of that shadow organization, I do not care what happens to me. There is a large group on this forums and we decide what to complain about behind the scenes to change the game in our vision. First we came for Circle of Healing and now with that out of the way, we will come down on Dead Hard. Watch as it happens just as I said. Take that Consortium of Killers. I am glad you didn't lol. I played the censored version but it still made me uncomfortable.
Some things in the game are just... disturbing is probably the simplest word to describe it. I won't spoil anything just in case you play it one day somehow.
It is not about the violence as much as certain themes didn't sit well with my then young mind.
It is like the game played me.
I regret not playing that one as a young lad. I wish someone made me watch all sorts of sick and depraved stuff while I was in those formation years for maximum effect. I got some lame stuff that warped my mind as a kid.
