So, I should say non-PS players? Is that what you are telling me?
I'm just pointing out that Xbox can also change their gamertag, it's foolish to assume everyone is PC with a globe because sometimes they have a globe for me with those names and idk if its Xbox, ps, windows, switch or whatever they're on, and if someone likes DBD enough they may change their name and pay for it on console I've also seen that before, we can agree that DC is unnecessary and those people need a harsher punishment but what you're doing is no different than someone with a stuck up attitude on PC looking down on any console player which is also something I don't agree with
-
@OldSilentHill said:
So the main arguments are that my +3000 hs in DBD are worthless as a testimony, that PSN users can pay $10 to change their nicknames and that high-ranked users come from multi-accounts in the same console.
Ok guys 😂
Xbox players can change their name the same as steam and I'm on PC with 12,000 hours , legacy skins, and I don't ever DC so what's your point? You don't know who you're playing with you're just making yourself look like a fool touting all that nonsense like every globe is pc

I've mained nurse since she's been out, I honestly don't mind if they nerf her because I haven't lost a game with her in over a year and for the past few months I've quit playing her because it's boring to end a game that quick, but I will say that most of these people complaining about nurse more than likely dont ever play her she's not easy to master and you have to be good at identifying what type of runners you're playing against, if they did nerf her she would probably be useless is the bad part and she's one of the few killers that stands a chance against the very best in the game
-
When you look at the way it works it actually does reduce the grind for perks, but when it comes to the old p3 outfits you've just increased the grind for new players to get there when you have to prestige 6 times just for the outfit, and think about what that does to new players you just made the grind more overwhelming for the people you were supposed to be reducing it for because nobody that's played this game for years is in a situation where they truly have to grind to get things it's a chapter by chapter deal once you're leveled up, new players are gonna see those outfits and want them but 6 prestiges to get it might just make someone new throw the game away when they start delving into how many characters they need to buy just to feel like they have a decent perk selection.

it was when the darkness appeared- was strange as only happened sometimes. and bits of him were visible but not everything, the other survivors said they didn't see it? which is confusing as to why it was just me? Even when I went in to spectate I could just see survivors being knocked down by nothing
That's a spectating bug it's not actually like that in the trial and also they made it to where he has to be closer to light up in darkness
-
Billy isn't miserable but they definitely should bring the old billy back, hands down one of the biggest mistakes BHVR has ever made was nerfing Billy, the whole community was pretty much in agreement that it was unnecessary and unwanted, the only thing that should've changed was insta saw being nerfed
-
When I play in a swf I have fun but solo is about 50/50 just depending on who I get teamed with, I don't mind anything the killer does in the trial because anything that's not hacking is fair game and I've probably done the same to someone else as a killer before, the best way to have fun is to make friends and then don't take the game seriously just do whatever you enjoy doing with the role you're playing, the only person stopping you from having fun is yourself because you're choosing to let it get to you.
-
Prove thyself is one of the most underrated perks, while it's more beneficial to get gens separate it comes in clutch after you pop one separate and go to someone else's gen or a new gen because youll more than likely have someone hop on it with you or be helping someone who's got a partially completed gen and having that much of a speed boost on gens is very powerful it can completely turn the tide of a trial.
-
Nurse isn't impossible to beat you just can't treat her like you do every other killer in the game, I won't give up just because I hear it's a nurse I've survived and died against some of the best out there, to me that's when the game becomes fun because you're gonna have to sweat if you wanna survive a good one it's not just gonna get handed to you
-
Survivor isn't dead but prolonging gen times on top of the slowdowns available makes survivor a snooze fest because you're pretty much gonna be forced to just genrush every game, you're gonna be seeing a lot more gen builds from survivors to counteract the changes being made, Do I think it's fair? Sure it's fair because of survivors basically spawning in on separate gens but I think people are more upset that a secondary objective wasn't added to counter gen speeds and instead they're forced to hold m1 longer and just sit there, the game is just getting stale because it's repetitive and nothing really new has been added to the way the core of the game itself works, if they left gens alone on time and added a smaller secondary objective in order to have the gates powered at the end I think alot of people would be happier because they're actually doing something different instead of sitting there longer and you feel like you're playing a real game instead of a repair simulator.

What, you think you can't make distance within 1 seconds of free move? what kind of game are you playing?
Well considering it can't activate during deep wounds if you're getting tunneled off the hook, you more than likely won't even get to use DH and it's only a 1 sec wait out now, but let's say someone gets unhooked and the killer hits them , they have BT but he continues the chase, DH isn't gonna do anything for you at that point, when you need it the most you won't be able to use it and not only that but the distance aspect is gone and that's what made the perk good now its going back to the days where people are gonna cry theyre always on the ground when trying to use it, anyone who thinks dead hard got a buff needs a iq test
-
Im pretty sure I've ran into a few people on here but my name is different on my steam account than here so nobody would know if they went against me or not, and the fact that someone else could have a different name it's hard to say for sure if it was really them or not, I used to swf with some people on here but they've been banned from the forums for a long time now

Not even remotely true and in fact some of the biggest complainers and toxic players are elitists that are ironically some of the best players at the game and simply can't stand the fact that they are matched with inferior ones that can't play at their level.
If that's true then why would they care about what perks the other side is running? By that logic you probably think tru3 is a top tier player when clearly he's not and he gets destroyed and cries about swf all the time, but that's fine we can agree to disagree the only people I see complaining are the ones who get outplayed and need an excuse to give people
-
People who you see complaining 24/7 are bad at the game , they can make whatever excuse they want for having that type of mindset but when you're crying literally every day on any platform then that speaks for itself, someone wouldn't have so much of an issue if they did well, the problem is getting people to accept they need to get better and that they still have much to learn, instead though all we get are death threats and insults because once you get real with them that's all they've got left and they think they're the best players in the world , accuse everyone of "exploiting" or being "toxic" just for having perks or a playstyle they don't agree with
-
Keyboard and mouse provides better accuracy and better sensitivity allowing you to do slightly more than a controller allows and you're not capped by the system as much, not hating on console just being honest.
-
Just wait till you guys figure out sprint burst is a better perk than dead hard, sure dead hard is easier to manage which is why some consider it better but sprint burst being managed properly is stronger , I can get to a gen immediately and even if I end up forced off of it 9/10 times I can end up 99 mid chase and get like 4 times the distance dead hard offers without being injured, forcing a killer to either commit or accept that they just wasted all that time chasing, also using insta heals before you pop a 99 sprint burst is deadly, sprint bursts drawback of being able to get used at anytime is also what gives it the edge over dead hard when it's used by a good survivor who knows how to take advantage of that.
-
The same reason they complain about everything else, they got outplayed and don't like it

im not ranting have a private profile raises some alarms especially if u pull someone god like in game
This is exactly why I leave my profile private, I'll talk in the endgame but I dont want to put up with an adult with a childlike temper tantrum spamming comments on my profile or messaging me accusing me of hacking when I wasn't or being upset because they think I did something in game that got them killed, or survivors messaging and talking trash after the game was over like 30 mins before that, yea no thanks I'm gonna leave my profile private so I don't have to listen to it, if you got something to say then say it in the endgame and leave it at that.

Some killers can hurry back to hooks. Or a Survivor can lead you back on accident. I think our friends big issue is that Deep Wounds is kind of a lack luster thing now a days.
Even Legion whose whole thing is that status effect doesn’t fully benefit from it. Since there are like five survivor perks that can easily negate it and it heals them to full. If BT did something like apply broken to the hit party while also giving them the speed boost then it would be fine.
A big thing to remember is that killers have a anti pallet stun perk courtesy of Spirit. Sadly it runs on a damn token system. they could just give BT the same type of system. “After unhooking two survivors the next survivor you unhook is immune for 15 seconds”.
Well regardless of how it happens BT shouldn't change it's the only real counter to a camping killer besides rushing gens, at some point instead of complaining people should look at what they're doing wrong and try to become a better player from it instead of immediately rushing to the forums to make a "nerf this because I got outplayed" post
-
Leatherface can negate borrowed because he doesn't slow down after hitting you and can keep going, better question is why are you standing next to the hook for this to affect you? They can't make it across the map to take a hit with borrowed it's gone by then , camping may be a valid strategy but it also has valid counterplay with borrowed and that shouldn't change because you want your hand held

I have a PS5 and have Rubberbanding. I see Zubatlel rubberbanding a lot. The devs already said they’re fixing it.
Why are you blaming console for this?
I'm not blaming them I'm simply stating the game doesn't run well on the older gen consoles, I play on PC but I also have the game on PS4 and switch, they just don't run as well in my opinion and no matter what BHVR does those specific older models will probably have issues, I saw @MandyTalk respond to me I understand it's a more wide range issue than I thought but I never have that issue on PC personally so I guess I can't relate
-
Rubberbanding is more than likely a outdated console issue , if someone is having this issue on PC then they either need to turn off their vpn, upgrade their internet, or upgrade that toaster they're playing the game on because nothing in the world can fix it if you don't even meet minimum specs
-
A platform won't make anyone a better player, in the case of PC it just makes the experience a little nicer due to optimization and sensitivity differences but in reality somewhere out there are people who are playing on some jank toaster PC that runs the game worse than a console because it doesn't meet the specs, at the end of the day specs don't give you more skill though and I could have the world's greatest PC and still die to a Nintendo switch killer if theyre more skilled than me

I died like 50 times in a row (I play normally for 99% of the game, then when everything is over I decide to die).
Killers are still very good in my matchmaking, and they use meta perks.
If you really want that badly for an easier match just make a new account and add it as your family member on whatever platform you're on and then start with a fresh account you didn't have to pay for, but I really don't get why you'd want to do that this game really isn't that hard
-
It's because matchmaking doesn't work and it never really has, and it can't work is my theory because at some point when there aren't alot of players on, the que times would kill the game trying to match people equally, they tried a system before that I felt was the most accurate it was a new algorithm they did for matchmaking for a short period of time but they had to turn it off because you would wait like 30 mins for a match at rank one only to have the killer lobby dodge and send you back to the main menu because the killer was the host back then no servers, but at the same time with anything BHVR has ever done , when players match up with low ranked friends it always has thrown matchmaking off and there's nothing they can really do about it even now

Solely defending/patrolling gens with the hope to create a 3-4gen setup doesn't really cut it sadly. Survivors will split up and do these gens separately which might net you in a hit at most but they'll be off to the mainbuilding immediately where they will most likely heal up via a pal, a medkit or with Circle of Healing. It's a lose-lose scenario in which you get to decide for how long you will delay the inevitable. Also yes, I mostly play m1 killers who get screwed over massively by the meta.
It's worked for me for years and I played during a time when survivors were much more broken than now, recovering exhaustion, real infinites, real instaheals that could pick someone up from dying to full health, double pallet gyms etc... It works but you have to be really disciplined on not committing to a bad chase, I won't deny that on certain maps if the survivors start separate there's not a whole lot you can do but those are usually big maps where map pressure is a problem, on maps like dead dawg pressure is alot easier to gain as a killer because of how small it is compared to a map like red forest, that's why people say dead dawg is killer sided because they feel pressure is easy to gain but in my opinion dead dawg is a perfectly balanced map for both sides it's not too big for killers and there's just enough safety for survivors to have fun without offering them too much safety and forcing them to use resources more wisely but it's ok we can agree to disagree on this is just my opinion from my experiences in the game
-
The reason you're losing is because you're more than likely committing to main building chases that starts by you being all the way out in the street seeing them up top on the gen and you're probably a m1 killer, so in that situation the main building is too strong to commit to a chase with that much distance already in play , your best bet on that map depending on gen RNG is to leave the main building alone let that one gen go and then protect the four closest gens , if you can force the survivors to waste the safety in the area and commit to chases where the survivor is zoned into a bad area you will win the game but this is my basic advice for anyone playing m1 killer because gen control is so important when you don't have map pressure or mobility.

I can guarantee that's a bug. As the devs (and forum mods) like to say, if it's not in the patch notes, it's probably unintentional and should be reported.
This whole game is a bug
-
Ol' Dickhead is what we've been calling him, let's not pretend like his whole neck and head don't look like a shaft chasing you
-
This game is always broke theres never been a time with zero bugs in DBDs entire history, even if they took an entire year off to address bugs, new ones would come with the brand new update that was supposed fix them all it's just the way this game works
-
People take this game way too personal it's a joke to expect manners in the trial, in the endgame of course people should act like adults and accept when they die or when they don't kill anyone and refrain from insults, but as far as in game manners some people wouldn't make it a day in the older COD lobbies being teabagged and trash talked at the same time.
-
The flicks are really just people who are good at what you're calling surfing on the wall to follow the loop with the survivor, it's just how they're coming out of it with the swing at the right time , as someone who's been playing Oni alot recently I recommend going in KYF with a friend of yours and getting that down to a science and get a feel for what you can strafe off an how you need to approach certain loops to make it easier to accomplish
-
If they would just revert the animation on dead hard it would be fine because it didn't give you so much distance so you couldn't use it to run through a pallet and then dead hard all the way across a jungle gym tile to the window you'd have to get closer to make it work leaving yourself more vulnerable, there's a reason that before the animation nobody complained about distance
-
There are plenty of perks that cause this to happen, do you have a endgame screenshot to view their perks? They probably weren't hacking to be honest, most hackers even the subtle ones would use something more than that to throw you off.
-
The way this game is objective wise its almost impossible to not make someone feel bullied, you're either winning or you're not I mean you wouldn't be saying all this if you were the one winning those games but for whoever lost it's rare to find players that just don't care either way and that's important to having fun with this game is remembering that you could lose to someone only to play them again in the next couple matches and demolish them, it all boils down to not taking the game too seriously just have fun and quit taking things personal.
-
It really irks me BHVR takes things like this away, I get Billy isn't supposed to be able to do that but its not something that can be used to hold a game hostage or even for an advantage really it's just for memes and making the survivors be in amazement of The entity's new space program
-
I really hope they will redo a license agreement with Netflix for a whole new chapter they would be dumb not to do it, Vecna would be a perfect fit for this game.

I've been seeing a lot more survivors running around with bond and leading the killer to their teammates in solo queue.
Haven't seen it much at all as killer since I'm in MMR hell. Saw it a LOT as killer on console before crossplay, however.
Edit:
I don't really mind survivors memeing around near the end and trying to befriend the killer to get hatch if the game is pretty much over, however. I also don't mind teaming in end game all that much if they're helping me find a survivor that betrayed the other survivors or threw the game (e.g. unhooking in the my face for easy tunnels, or a Claudette that was hiding in a bush for 5 minutes)
Running the killer to other survivors with bond use to be a thing that happened alot but I haven't seen it in a while, in fact I used to run empathy years ago just so I knew when people were injured and heading my way with the killer to avoid trolls.

So not finding 3 of the survivors in about 80 seconds while chasing another one I found 30 seconds into the game is playing poorly? ^_^
I guess skills starts by not being sent in a big map ;)
Oh, and not being in the iridescent ranks.
And then, next game I'm having almost the same match but only 31700 points and I got two pips (but this time I went full gen regression).
I'm not discussing the mechanic by the way. It's the fact that you can have an high score and not the maximum amount of pips.
The score should be lower to reflect that.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2979495#Comment_2979495
I should probably have mentioned it's as killer.
I getting 32000 points as survivor is extremely rare (for me). My typical ceiling is around 26000.
It's because if the game is too one sided you won't pip up, this is one of the things I hate when I play killer because you could mop the floor with them and them being good players and still not pip because you didn't spend enough time doing certain things the game expects you to do, but as a killer the faster I end the match the better it should be, I find myself throwing the survivors a bone at times so I can actually pip off the game if I know it's been too one sided and it shouldnt be that way.
-
Pipping up is already way too easy I don't know how much more easier it could be without just handing iri 1 to people
-
You're going to see this combo more often because people can actually get value out of pentimento this way
-

I don't think this would be a healthy change because it could punish non-campers. On the other hand, I feel like this change wouldn't really combat camping either, and hell even if it did... it would just be another plasterfix. I would prefer it if they just fixed the bloody issue rather than plasterfixing everything with perks.
The perk already combats camping you can genrush during that time and there's really no reason why the gens shouldn't be popping if they camp someone with that perk, if they camp someone right out the gates first hook you could pop all the gens with the time it would take for them to die

I doubt it will ever happen, not because of BHVR either but the creators of vhs would be dumb to allow that, they're trying to make a name and if you added a vhs chapter who would go back to that game when it's already in DBD? Also they're dropping the ball big time with the way they've handled the beta
-
It's because they think one day they might get laid if they do it enough
-
With this type of game it's damn near impossible to fix that, besides knowing BHVR it would have plenty of unintentional problems that would more than likely leave one side SOL for months waiting on a hotfix
