Unfortunately most of your disadvantages list kinda goes out the window when it comes to crossplay titles. You're gonna have a hard time convincing anyone no matter how outdated your PC rig is that you arnt outperforming the Switch gamer. The hackers and cheaters... are playing with everyone else too.
Console players can just turn off the crossplay and the waiting time in the lobby is not that much tbh.

Kindred.
It´s, I think, the best perk in the game.
It gives you:
-Critical information about the rest of the team every time someone is hooked,
-Nobody leaves you to die in a hook,
-It´s the best perk against a camping killer,
-It gives you immediate information about the direction the killer takes after hooking (therefore revealing if he probably has BBQ),
-It shows you if the killer is putting a trap and where
etc.
it´s just too good 🤷

I'm just pointing out that Xbox can also change their gamertag, it's foolish to assume everyone is PC with a globe because sometimes they have a globe for me with those names and idk if its Xbox, ps, windows, switch or whatever they're on, and if someone likes DBD enough they may change their name and pay for it on console I've also seen that before, we can agree that DC is unnecessary and those people need a harsher punishment but what you're doing is no different than someone with a stuck up attitude on PC looking down on any console player which is also something I don't agree with
Actually, now that you mention the periods that I´ve been not using the crossplay the DC was almost non-existent.

Xbox players can change their name the same as steam and I'm on PC with 12,000 hours , legacy skins, and I don't ever DC so what's your point? You don't know who you're playing with you're just making yourself look like a fool touting all that nonsense like every globe is pc
So, I should say non-PS players? Is that what you are telling me?

From a PC and console player,
Please stop assuming that PC players are the only ones with the cross play symbol. There's also PS4/PS5/Xbox/Windows/Switch players. This PC vs Console nonsense needs to stop.
It´s the nickname, not the globe icon.
Next time read the thread before answering.

There's multiple platforms that could be doing this. Console players should stop assuming anyone with globe is a PC player because it could be which ever console platform they're not on between ps/xbox/switch. PC players should stop assuming anyone with a globe is console because it could be whatever PC platform they're not on between steam/epic/stadia/windows store. This pc v console crap is wicked obnoxious.
Nop, trolling nicknames DBD related are 95% PC players, that´s common sense.

Correct, one person's experience, regardless of how extensive it is, doesn't constitute immutable fact. Not worthless, just a drop in the informational bucket, and not nearly enough to justify a sweeping generalization. Other people saying they haven't noticed that in their thousands of hours of gameplay means just as much.
And obviously PC players can more easily change their names and are much more likely to have DBD-centric names; I only mentioned the ability to change username because you said it was only available to PC users, which was just factually incorrect.
Within normal and free conditions, they are, that´s what I meant.
Still, PC players disconnect a lot often, that´s a fact that I can still see in a daily basis.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3040322#Comment_3040322
I mean, you didn't know that console players do have the means to change their nicknames, so those 3000+ hours clearly don't count for much as far as this particular discussion.
Wrong, I know they can, but most just won´t do it and certainly not to change it for a trolling name in a single game like DBD.
Common sense.
-
So the main arguments are that my +3000 hs in DBD are worthless as a testimony, that PSN users can pay $10 to change their nicknames and that high-ranked users come from multi-accounts in the same console.
Ok guys 😂

You can change your PSN username (though you have to pay for it after the first change, so it's less likely you'll see it as much), and XBox gamertag, and that is reflected in your DBD name, so it is possible on other platforms.
You can do it once in PSN and nobody will change their username name to "ClownKillerisyourDaddy" for just one game.
PC players can play with their nicknames on a daily basis, so you are comparing a paper boat with the Titanic.

I was going to post something similar / ask how they know they know it is a PC player...
They didn't really think this through @_@
Unless it has changed, PC players are the only user that can edit their nicknames for DBD.
Nicknames like "Hook_on_you", "DBD_Master" and thousand others are pretty obvious.

Hard disagree.
Solo Survivor is the worst single experience in this game (including killer). Not because they don't have "comms", but because they lack Efficacy and Experience, thus they themselves become a reliability problem. You, on the receiving end, are no longer in control of your own actions because now you have to essentially do MORE than what was asked of you originally and basically have to hope that when you have the killer on you they are doing something at all.
Just a quick example here: I was being camped by a Spirit, who then turned and started hard-camping Nea. I am injured and knew that we needed to just focus on generators. Meanwhile, my other teammate (Ace) continuously persists in healing rather than doing a gen (crouching up and down), suddenly leaves while he has Prove Thyself (the one thing that could get the gens done faster and possibly give that Nea another chance) WHILE he knows Nea is going to be camped for the rest of the match. -.- Meanwhile I finished the last gen and NONE of them go to try to help her or take a hit. Leon crouched next to the gate I was opening while injured. You know just in case she came to the gate and had to down someone 😂
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pi7Kv7c4o40
Even playing as killer I find them boring because they drop like flies and it makes me wonder why the game put me against them. Which coincidentally it is the reason some killers love them, because they don't like a challenge.
If "having it easier" means playing with smart/competent people then by all means call them the Easy Mode for all I care. SWF only provides a slight advantage when you realize that Solo teams can stomp just as much of a breeze when everyone is working as a team and doing what they are suppose to. Also, I've seen Solo Teams do better than SWF, so that tells me it's more about the player you get in your team rather than whether they are SWF or not.
Yes, it´s by far the worst experience.
I play on PS4 and I´m tired of the PC players disconnecting at first hook. If they were paying with a team, they wouldn´t be doing that.

It´s not a matter of numbers, but attitude.

There is that option too xD
...
I've thought a bit more about this.
One legion to disrupt the survivors.
One Nurse with range add-ons or a Blight for the kills, maybe Huntress or Trickster ... something aggressive. (e.g. not Hag)
It may be possible to slow the gens for long enough that the survivor get picked one by one.
This is actually good.
1) Legion with Thanatophobia + 3 others (interesting to see which ones), constantly harming the survivors, should create a superslow gen progression.
2) Nurse with at least a 3 projection add-on, Scourge Hook + 3 other intense, non-circumstantial.
This would not be a walk in the park for the survivors, let me tell you that.
-
@drsoontm said:
2 killers can still only chase 2 survivors.
That's 6 survivors able to do gens in parallel.
Game over in a bit more than 90 seconds.
But the proportion is the same: 1/3. 1 Killer can only chase one, for that matter.
And let´s assume the 8 survivors play solo, of course (which is the most common way of playing the game, according to the statistics).
PS: Corrupt Intervention would be a must, of course.

That... doesn't sound right. I'm pretty sure you have to press a button.
I don´t have to, that´s odd.
But makes sense, it only takes less than half a second for the killer to move from the pallet.

Unfairness? you used a perk that gave you a second chance and now because youre running 2 other perks you should have another second chance, thats 4 total chances, possibly per survivor. Not exactly fair
I have 4 slots and I expect to use them, not to have one suppressed by 1 of the other 3, that´s just doesn´t make sense.
-
@bjorksnas said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3030274#Comment_3030274
A second chance is still a second chance so its fine that the perk gets disabled even if it wasn't the main one used because that second chance was guaranteed only by having ds, my guess is it goes the flashlight route of even if it was a save the perk is still effectively used
A second chance is not a second chance if I´ve already used DS (because of the mentioned unfairness) and next time I don´t have any chance to use it in a palet zone.
-
@ChurchofPig said:
I thought DS and Power Struggle were two separate buttons? Are they not? So wouldn't the answer be you get to choose?
PS automatically activates, I´ve tried and you don´t have to do anything, the palet will drop by itself.
-
@bjorksnas said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3030068#Comment_3030068
Power Struggle is not a one time thing
Then it would be unfair 👎️ if the game makes you spend the DS if you already have PS.
That´s exactly the thought that made me create this thread, I would like to know 🤔
-
@StibbityStabbity said:
I think there is a slight delay on DS, so probably PS+FF. I do not know for certain, however.
I think it´s relevant.
Once you use PS, can you create the same conditions in the match to use it again or is it just a one time thing, like DS?
-
@Lycidas said:
DS triggers, the audio indicator plays while the killer picks you up and the skill check doesn't give you the time to start wiggling to trigger Power Struggle
But with FF and a few seconds, you don´t need to wiggle, you are already there with the 15%.
Still, you have a possible point.

Calm Spirit just stops the screams. I saw once that static blast went off and I saw the outline in front of me but there was no sound.
You are still tiering up in madness, so illusionary doctors are still there. They are great at helping me determine where survivors are. I had a survivor hide in a locker in killer shack. But little did they know that an illusionary doctor appeared on the outside of the building facing them as they entered the locker. They didn't even know if the neon sign pointing to them lol
My point.
If you are crazy, then your spirit is not calm. The perk should do what it says.

Calm Spirit makes you not scream, it doesn't make you less crazed by Doctor's shocks. You're still crazy, you're just not shouting it to the world.
If you are crazy, then your spirit is not that calm.
The perk does not honor its name.

I don't see that being an issue. Opening the exit gate as last survivor after hatch has been closed is suppose to be difficult to pull off, because it means your team failed to finish the gens fast enough and you failed to find hatch first.
Caliing "your team" what sometimes is just a bunch of ######### people playing, is generous. I accept what you said in a normal context, but I´m trying to figure the counter for those timeframes where the matchmaking just sucks.
-
@Crowman said:
Why should it?
The illusionary doctors aren't tied to screaming.
Unless the Doctor is running an addon to increase the illusionary doctor duration, they last for a second. Very easy for Doctors to miss if they are busy dealing with other survivors.
Enough for ruining an endgame when you are playing solo. There is no way to open any door.

No perk should have a direct effect to a killers power, that's why Small Game no longer works on Bear Traps.

Sure, but if you use this in combination with flashlights or the perk Decisive Strike, you can get enough tokens easily.
Also, I don't think you read that correctly. Your wiggle meter would automatically start at 36 percent when you get picked up. Wiggling free takes 16 seconds, but with this perk it would take around 10.5. That's a big difference.
I read, but I think you didnt read me: you will hardly get more than 1-2 tokens. 2-4 if you HAVE to bring a flashlight, wich seems pretty circunstantial to me. So you will almost never reach 30-36%, never. With less than 24% and the hooks being so close to each other (even with an offering), it just shows that the potential of this hypotetical perk servers no purpose other than trolling the killer.
-
Distorsion is one of my meta perks and let me tell you all that people in general do not bother to counter BBQ. Stupid if you ask me, they don't choose wisely when to use their tokens.
And I'm Rank 2, I'm not playing with newbies, and still, it puzzles me, half of my team mates died because of BBQ. I know because one of my other meta perks is Kindred.

Agree with OP
