That's what I like about high ranks, people play for pips. You get more epic rescues because people go for the hooks rather than hatch camp to escape.
-
Decisive Strike gone. Not reworked, not nerfed, just pulled out of the game never to return.

Glad that they did.Sinner said:Yes it's a bug. Before there was no timing, whenever you used pallet or flashlight during pick-up animation, the survivor escaped. They tried fixing it at some point and killers went apeshit so they left the bug as is.
Would be hella annoying as killer, and as survivor its nice that there is an element of skill to it.
There are videos on youtube that show the correct timing for anyone that needs it. -
I'd still take Legion over another Billy game.
That said, what bugs me about Legion is the deep wounds timer. He doesn't even need to moonwalk, you just lose him in a chase, start mending, he finds you again, so you want to start running but you can't because the mend bar is empty and even though he's only a few meters away the game doesn't think you're in a chase yet. -

Why not just go back to the idea about him stalking to cross pallets?
I'd also still like to see the other legion members be more than just skins. I.e. Frank needs X amount of stalk to jump a pallet but moves at 115%, Julie needs a lower amount of stalk but moves at 110% to compensate.
If you are talking about Shads rework then that falls under the "too different to really be the same killer" category.
If you just mean the shape but with a different t3 effect and significantly different charge speed and stalk MS then maybe
I mean the prototype they showed on the dev stream from when Legion was still in development.
They had that working them changed it because they wanted him to be able to vault pallets at any time. It does sound like Myers but maybe a drastc change is needed due to how much people seem to hate the current Legion.
Is this stream recorded anywhere? I kinda want to see it
https://youtu.be/D4-E4R0oHBY
Around the 30min mark they do talk about it though. I listened to it now and apparantly survivots didnt like it because there was no counterplay - which is the same as what we have now.
That was obviously going to happen though the moment the killer could vault pallets. Nurse is pushing it already and they've said they want to nerf her so not sure why they went ahead with this. -
I would have said Freddy but you don't like him, plus better off waiting for the rework now to see what it's like. It should be coming soon™.
Pig can be fun but imo she's weak. Like really weak. LF is a bit of a dud and mostly only worth it for BBQ. Myers....not my cup of tea but many people seem to really like him. -

As others have said, Huntress for faster reloadingz Doctor if you don't want them using lockers to avoid madness.
That's about it. Well maybe if you have Nurse or Billy, dont want them using lockers to avoid bbq either, as when they leave the locker and notify their position these 2 killers can make it to that area fast. -
I can't wait for the ptb. The front page will be

Why, how, when? The reason is just that players feel they need to play in lower ranks?
So in the end it becomes all about that noed crutch which isn't fun for anyone.

Yes it's toxic.

Lately I've been hunting the "Where Did They Go?" Achievement and time and time again, my whole team escapes through the hatch at the same time. In all of these attempts no one in the party got the achievement. So, eventually, we gave up. Then we got a really lucky game half a year later that resulted in all 4 of us escaping the hatch. This ended by giving all of us the achievement. I was wondering what was different, it didn't make any sense. The only thing I could think of is that we all escaped the hatch at very different time periods, as seen here:For some reason, I don't think the "escape at the same time" is accurate, as the one time where the escapes differed by 20 ish seconds was the one I got it.
TLDR: Where Did They Go doesn't make any sense. Dead By BugLight.
Its funny cause if that achievement is bugged now, it previously gave it to killers in random matches back then. Thats how i got mine till they fixed it later on.
Having said that I'm sure I had it before that. Was during a BP event so we were farming and all 4 took the hatch after the gens were done but it never unlocked at the time. -

I don't. But then I always take MYC on Wraith because with the speed and invisibility it's often quite easy to find the target

I'm complaining that theres nothing in it for us.Master said:The ranking system is flawed, but you are complaining about no-DC penalties.
Both are issues that need to be adressed
Killers get an easier game and a quitter bonus on top of that.
Survivors get a harder game aaaaand.....nothing.
So your options are;
- disconnect and lose 2 pips and get no points.
- Run around for a minute or two in a really dull game, get killed, lose a pip, get very few points.
Basically if you try to be a good sport and stay in and participate you get a big middle finger thrown at you. If you disconnect you're punished like the rest of the disconnecters.
I did manage to discuss this with noqueen in a different topic. I think when they have a system that sorts out solo/swf the solo players should also get a quitter bonus because it's unfair for us to be punished because someone else rage quit. -
I thought that's the point? You can tinker with Legion a little bit right now but all of the problems remain.NuclearBurrito said:@The_Crusader said:

So many of you guys hate DS with such a passion, even though Enduring works wonders against it. Same deal like with complaints about NOED: don't like it? Take Small Game! Hate DS? Bring Enduring along. Simple.Adrenaline is a real danger there, not DS. Yet, as many pointed out, it has a condition, and often a survivor does never get to use it in a game. The only thing I would change about it is that the effect can kick in later (after you've been unhooked). That's too much. One of the effects (heal OR speed bonus) in such a case should go.
The thing about Enduring is it only makes DS last around 1 second less, its not a counter its just a perk to make the stun a little shorter, 3 seconds is still a lot of time for failing to escape the killer, now take NOED while it also rewards failure in essense it can be taken out the game before a gen is even done, so only one of these perks has a true counter.
The killers dont really have any perks which dont have a counter or strat to negate, each one from Spirit Fury to Rancor has a way of negating its effect by dropping pallet earlier or being very causious and stealthy after the last gen is done until its safe to leave, it all depends on how knowledgable of the game the survivors are.
False. Enduring 3 reduces stun from DS 3 to ONE second instead of FOUR. I'm speaking out of experience: whenever I'm using Enduring, it's about 10 seconds to down the survivor again after I've been D-striked. Now, of course even 10 seconds can mean a lot in a fast paced game, but in return, that survivor used up a perk slot instead of having something more useful.
I see the problem very clearly for a long time now. It's a psychological effect. Many of you guys out there just can't get over setbacks emotionally. "Wee, I've been D-striked", "Mommy, I'm camped" and so on, so you all gather here, baaing like sheep about how OP/unfun some perk or gamestyle is. Because complaining is easier than adopting.
I have no compassion for you.
Your timing is off, DS is actually over 4 seconds, enduring looks to last a little longer than a second too. Dbd timing is off, insidious says 2 seconds yet definitely takes longer to activate.
Anyway, fact is it depends entirely where the survivor is. If they were on their way to a mega loop like the abbatoir window then no it can definitely take longer, especially if there is a good load of pallets nearby.
-
I think i got that "where did they go" achievement due to a bug. I'm not sure what happened, I was just playing a normal game and next minute it pops up.
Not complaining though. -
All I want is a quitter bonus for solo survivors if another player disconnects. It's unfair that we get boned due to someone else.
I'm guessing the issue here is that they've said before there system doesn't recognize swf or solo so they can't do that, and swf would abuse it.
Its really something I would like when we get the dedicated servers though. Sounds like a lot will be changing then. -
Does closing the program just as the lobby ends count as a disconnect?
Because if some toxic player tries to pull a fast one and do a last second lobby change then I'm gone. I know exactly what people like that will be like in the game.
Locking survivors loadouts earlier would solve that yet its still not in the game. -

@ClogWench Wasn't unnecesary, proved my point that even with a ridiculous dc count the devs don't ban #########.It proved nothing. As has already been pointed out to you ad nauseam, bans come in waves.
Few times a year? Someone said on here the other day that disconnect counts reset with rank reset. Is that true or bs? -
If 2 people disconnect from a game, the other 2 survivors might as well disconnect, but they get punished for it. 2 pips lost and a disconnect on record.not_Queen said:What @Orion said is right. We are not communicating our threshold because it leads to abuse. And we are doing bans in waves because that's what the system allows us to do at the moment. We all wish that the punishment was more strict for disconnecting but that's what we are able to do right now because of how our system registers disconnects. Hopefully we will get a better system when we migrate the game on Dedicated Servers.
If they stay in, they get the crappiest game and lose a pip anyway or the killer feels oblidged to farm.
When will this be rectified? Its garbage. I feel punished no matter whether I stay in or disconnect. I'm punished because other people disconnected. -
As has been discussed before theres so much BS in the game that its not surprising people d/c.
Perhaps that should be worked on first. -
It's still the most powerful imo. Guarantees you that first pallet. Can be used at anytime, even after being unhooked for those endgame saves.
Also really undoes certain killers abilities like Wraith, Legion, Pig.

No thanks. The perks are there for that specific purpose. Deal with it. Great logic. I mean it's not like there are killer mains out there who don't use it and think it feels cheap.
No, I know you are a survivor main because you have spent days on the forums whinging about an endgame perk that affects the easiest side to play. If you played killer to any real degree along with survivor you'd understand none of the complaints you are making have any merit and you'd have the ability to just lose with grace.
You'd also have some insight into why you can not save every survivor and have to put self preservation as top priority. Failure to do so is why NOED is OP to you.
Also, just because you or others feels it is cheap doesn't mean anything. That's just subjective opinion with an emotive argument. Some killers have one hit downs and they can NOED you every single time, all match long, with no way to avoid it outside of dodging. Just like NOED.
And therein lies the point of NOED. It gives one hit down ability in the end game for killers that need it.Tucking_Friggered said:@The_Crusader said:

Everyone knows noed is cheap and rewards failure, you just can't admit it because you don't care if the game holds your hand to compensate for a lack of skill. It doesn't matter how you win, it only matters that you win.
The fact that you're comparing NOED to something like evil within 3 only shows your lack of deeper understanding of the game. -

To be fair not all of these lobby switchers are swf. Some are solo, some 2 man.
It sucks as solo survivor. They run around taunting the killer with a flashlight, mess up all their flashlight saves, contribute nothing to the team, and more than likely disconnect once their Decisive is gone.

This is what I've been saying. It's a race to the most OP builds, with DS and NOED at the top. Those 2 perks are so mucb more powerful than the rest it's ridiculous.Having a points based perk system would be better.
As someone that 99,99% of the time doesn't run NOED, do you think I'm being treated unfairly by survivors that constantly run DS against me?
How can I stop them from using DS?
I've taken NOED before because I have been sick and tired or survivors running DS to drag the game out, then all getting the instaheal from Adrenaline where I only have 20 seconds to get them down before the gates are open.
Likewise I've taken DS or hope and adrenaline because I've been fed up of doing gens, being unfortunate enough to be chased as the last gen pops and then going down to Noed and being camped out with it.
That's what I mean by it's a race to the bottom. Or an arms race between perks, which the devs supposedly wanted to avoid.
Both are dishonourable imo but you might as well take one because the other side will sure as hell be taking theirs. -
That's true but if a good survivor uses it then it can be an extra 2 gen chase or they could get away entirely.Aven_Fallen said:@The_Crusader said:

Make it completely useless like all the hex if one perk is OP (when it use) you must have one completely counter
DS is not OP.
I see it multiple times a day where a Survivor hits the DS Skill Check and is downed 10 seconds later again.
And I see it multiple times a day where DS allows a 2-3 gen chase become a 4-5 gen chase.
I did not say that it is good game design. But he is not OP. If a potato uses DS, he will still be a potato, maybe extend a chase by a few seconds.
DS can be very powerful.
Sometimes you see people go down in like 20 seconds but then after the DS they manage to find every pallet in the game. It can be random at times. -
