For the love of god no more than 60 seconds please. It's already powerful at 60. I would have said 40-50 myself but eh whatever I guess it's like the opposite version of Make Your Choice.
Anymore than that and it easily becomes exploitable. 60 seconds alone is almost a full gens worth of immunity for a survivor.
I say this as someone who will be taking the perk because I absolutely hate tunneling too. Normally if you're tunneled it's before you even have a chance to heal, so within the first 30 seconds of an unhook. 60 seconds is more than enough time to get to safety and be fully healed, you could even self-care with the mangled effect in that amount of time.

You've admitted before that your tactic is camp and NOED. I don't think you can criticize other peoples skills in the game.
Besides what happens when people complain about camping? Killer mains say "do gens", so survivors do gens and then people like you punish them for it. It's disgusting to be quite honest. -
Dribbling wasn't always possible, and swf would bodyblock to ensure DS got used.Barron said:"we think NOED has multiple counters but DS doesn't" lololololololololololol
Dribbling from hook. Enduring. Actually missing the skills check. Not being greedy and taking the ds user to the closest hook.
It's time just to put bots in for killer mains to play against.
Enduring all depended on where the survivor went down. If they were close to a pallet or window then enduring didn't do #########.
Missing the skill check? Nothing the killer can do about that, and it was very rare for someone to miss it.
Killers didnt get greedy. Sometimes the nearest hook was too far.
I do think NOED needs a nerf but the old DS was the most busted and unfair thing in the entire game. -
And Unbreakable is a 1 use perk and no mither is complete garbage.MhhBurgers said:@The_Crusader said:

My point was to prove how ridiculous it is to say "just bring X" when it doesn't tackle a much deeper problem. -
Killer main hypocrisy as always.
-
They aren't gonna tell ya buddy. It's top secret right now.
-
It still has the potential to be OP in my opinion but I'm up for trying it. At least it has gone from a toxic perk used to bully the killer to a defensive perk used to protect the survivor from tunneling.
Really the biggest losers with this change are...
- Toxic survivors who want to bully the killer
- Killers that never give players a chance to leave the hook (Looking at the facecamping wraiths out there)
So I guess that's something good.
-
To be fair the old DS could be a free escape anyway. If you knocked down the obsession near the exit - free escape. If you knock down a regular survivor near the exit and the hook isn't close by - 35% free escape.
At least now it relies on them being unhooked within the past minute. It's not perfect as it can still grant free escapes but at least there will be some situations where it won't take effect. -

why the hell survivors die immediately if they are the last survivor on the hook, if there are so many ways to survive
for ex: luck, up the ante, slippery meat, deliverence, SB, DH, Decisive Strike
it's time to change that back^^ back to the rootsBecause if the survivor is the last one left...
They kobe then get knocked down and go right back on the hook
They don't get manage to get off the hook, they stay on struggling to drag the game out.
There is literally no point to it. Now that you mention DS it's interesting. You're basically saying...
- Survivor jumps off the hook, gets knocked down, now gets a free DS in an attempt for the hatch
Yeah you see the problem there is that it's bullshit if I'm honest. Its exactly why people hated DS. A free escape with no counter play. If you go on the hook after everyone else is dead that's it, you die, game over, everyone collects their points and moves on. No need to extend it just because survivors want to use their BS perks.
-
Nerf?
This is probably more of a buff to survivors. Each one is granted immunity from hooking for a full minute, if not then they get an instant DS.
Before you would get 1 in a game, sometimes 2, rarely 3. -
I'm sure the next killer will have a perk for this situation.
-
I would have killed you just for using Claudette.
Any survivor other than her and Quentin I would let live. -
Yeah but a full team with the best toolboxes and instaheals is strong, add to that voice comms and working the map effectively with that information, it's hard for low tier killers to compete because they don't have the map pressure available to them.Nyzechu said:@The_Crusader said:
Wow it's the real Nyzechu!I do agree that moris are OP vs standard survviors, but when you get a 4 man swf on comms with instaheals, the best toolboxes etc you kind of need the moris to balance it out imo.
Likewise survivors toys are OP vs standard killers but become much more balanced when its a killer with an ebony mori and Iri heads or 5 blinks.
You never need moris to balance it out! ♥ I mean it, you can be better at the chases and if the survivors are really good they deserve to escape or excell too. it is not all about the 4ks but for the fun of the game. ♥
Swf can split the map well, stop gens from regressing, organize rushing specific gens etc
At the moment with 4 people on comms, good toolboxes and multiple DS it's not about "gitting gud" as killer, ones like Pig and LF just struggle to compete with that. Pig especially as swf completely cripple her stealth.
Its not about winning but the other player needs to feel like they have a chance at winning ya know? Im not gonna bang on about swf because obviously the game is fun with friends, I'm just saying when an organized group comes in with the intention of winning they can have a much greater advantage over the killer. Look at that video of tru3s game from the other week where the gens went lightning fast and he was using Nurse. If he was using Trapper over Nurse he would have been buggered. -
Question for the team.
What happens if a killer pulls a survivor out of a locker or grabs them at a window while their perk is active?
Will the killer have time to drop them since it's a shorter animation than pick up?
I can see people using lockers to try and counter slugging and to force the DS like they try to do now. I'm just curious what's possible in terms of gameplay.
@not_Queen @Peanits -
What if the unhooker is someone fresh off a hook? You pick them up and you're taking a strike.NuclearBurrito said:You could also just grab the unhooker.

Genrush? Bring Ruin
Ruin destroyed too early? Bring Thrill of the hunt
Loops too strong? Bring bamboozle
Instaheals? Use instadowns, haunted ground, MYC etc
Hatch? Be patient, let the survivor make the first move. -
Yeah anyone hooked gets to crawl out or d-strike then run out.
They need an entity blocker on the gates for anyone who uses a DS for 30-60 seconds. -
He's definitely a good survivor, and given that the opposing player commited to a chase around the abbatoir loop with Huntress for 5 gens really shows that they aren't a good player and something has boosted them up there.HatCreature said:@Yamaoka said:

If survivors let NOED turn a 0k into a 4k they just played very bad and deserved to get 4k'ed. Simple as that.
So you're saying this Huntress played better than all survivors despite getting looped for 5 gens by an average survivor like tru3? Ok then!
Calling Tru3 an ''average'' Survivor isn't fair in this comparison. I've seen Tru3 loop many killers for 5 Gens, sometimes the Killer has been doing so well throughout the match that when they finally do chase Tru3, they lose. So using Tru3 for this isn't the right way to go.
I'd like to think the other survivors only played dumb because it was tru3 and they wanted their rescue on stream. -

I almost quit after Legion was instated, but this is abysmal. I will be quitting after these changes are made, to my disappointment since this was, by far, the most unique game I have come across.
The killer can't tunnel people out of the game as easily now as the survivor is guarenteed a D-strike. -

Tunneling for example happens if I am walking away from the hook and another survivor already goes for the unhook, of course I'm going for the easily exposed target. Yeah this worries me a bit. Survivors, swf especially can exploit it by rusning unhooks, since now the unhooked survivor has a safety net. Which is why I think the stun should at least stay at 3 seconds rather than being increased.
On the other hand, something needed to be done about all the lame killers in this game - for example all those Wraiths and Pigs that camped the hook with their stealth. At least they're punished a little bit now by being forced to take more DS.
I think the killer should be within 32 metres for the perk to activate imo. And I'm not talking TR but 32 metres.
It's a good idea. Maybe I'd extend it a little but to 40m because sometimes killers bait the unhook with the full intention of tunneling.
The only problem there though is Hillbilly. The amount that come zooming down the map as soon as they hear the unhook to tunnel is unreal. In fact I'm really glad this new perk shafts those players.
The perk has 2 activation stages:
First Stage is checking if the killer is within 32m, if the killer is then it will activate for 60 seconds.
Second Stage is checkinf if the killer is within 24m within 5 seconds, if the killer is then it will activate for 60 seconds.
It's a good idea. I kind of get the feeling that they want it to be easier to activate though so survivors dont feel its a waste.
But hopefully the devs see this and consider it. Especially if the new DS proves to be OP. Sometimes the survivor walks into the killer and its his own dumb luck that gets them hooked again in that case lol rather than an intentional tunneling. -
I realized that a good thing about this is it gives more choice to the killer.
Before the survivor dictated where they went down, unless the killer purposefully waited. They could go down next to a huge loop for example, D-strike, then use the loop to extend the chase. This is why Enduring wasn't always the answer.
With the new DS you can carry them further because there's no fear of the 35%, and choose to hook then far away from a nasty loop like say the abbatoir window. Then if you do happen to take a DS it makes it harder for the survvior to exploit that. Especially if you have Enduring. -

Given that DS is now an anti-tunnel perk I'm assuming the DL nerf was intentional. Makes sense with all the posts we've had complaining about camping/tunneling.
Yeah a rework will probably be far off as it was very rare to see this perk being used anyway. -

I have a suggestion for Mori changes, can we change Moris to be only possible on 3rd hook? So this way Killer still gets the mori animation and instead of going for that last hook he gets the kill AND survivors get a chance to use their DS to get away in case of a tunnel.
With NOED maybe address it where it has a timer instead of constant insta down.
OR just keep the speed but take the instadown maybe?I dislike NOED too because it rewards Killers for not optimizing their map pressure and chases. However I get why it exists for slower killers! ♥
Thank you for this change, it was long overdue.

Iridescent head is fine, it's the combo with the infantry belt that needs to go. You get 5 hatches and +2 with infantry belt, that's a free 40%. So why is it an extra 2 with iri heads? make it 40% extra rather than 2, this would mean iri head + infantry belt = 2 hatches total. Soo it’s a double edge sword. I’m not going to call for a nerf or anything but in the right hands noed is op and will further throw a match.
I also think rancor is an op perk and should should be considered for a nerf war before noed.
NOED can carry bad killers, and push good players with a strong killer into OP territory.
I don't think Rancor is anywhere near as bad. It's rare to see someone killed with it. If 3-4 survivors are alive at the end, chances are you aren't finding the obsessio. Especially not on larger maps. Rancor does nothing to any of the other survviors.
If 2 survivors are alive around the time of the last gen, chances are they aren't going to do the last gen anyway meaning it won't activate.
There's a reason barely anyone uses Rancor lol NOED on the other hand is extremely common. -
Tru3 - Promotes good sportsmanship. Refuses to use DS or NOED.
Panda - Funny personality. Always seems so polite, then panics and ends up randomly swearing at survivors which sounds out of place with his polite accent lol
Marth - Treats DS users like garbage with a hard tunnel. Also punishes people who abuse the nastiest loops. It's satisfying to watch.

But 60 is fine I think if the killer gets a visual notification like Pop or MYC. I can’t help but think how rough it would be when you do play fair but you run into your last victim at say second 58/60 and then get dsed for being unlucky.
Or especially end game. Won’t survivors get a free escape with ds?
they should add the countdown timer like did recently with blood warden's logo
The survivor has a countdown because it's their perk. For this reason the killer won't - as it isn't their perk.
Having said that survivors get "exposed" notifications on their screen, so maybe killers could have something similar?
DS will be a huge failure:
- previously only 1 from the possibly 4 survs got obsession and fast trigger of immediate OP DS
- the other max. 3 surv got a very crappy 35-45% wiggle to trigger it
and NOW everyone equiping got the immediate OP DS trigger lol the only "but" is the 60secs...
only playing we will see if this is balance or the DS virus wars continue
On the other hand, grinding uo through low rank survivor the tunneling is so bad that something had to change. Killers never left the hook and people weren't being given a chance to enjoy the game.
I think this could make the game harder for killers, but supposedly with new endgame content coming soon™ this could rectify this. Will have to wait and see. -

How do you know that a player has DS until he/she used DS?
DS felt like it was used in 90-95% of games before. That was when;
1) You could be dribbled

3) The skill check was possible to miss
Now you can't be dribbled, everybolayer can use it instantly, and the skillcheck size has been increased.

At some point people will stop playing survivor. Why would someone play survivor if you get punished for doing so?
I started out as a pure killer main myself 1.5 years ago before I decided to try survivor for a while so I know both sides evenly. What I can tell is that playing SOLO survivor is a total joke now. You rarely ever make it to the gates no matter how good you play.
Meanwhile I get easy 4k 3 minute games whenever I play killer even if I derp around. Now that's a balanced game... right?
I don't like using Noed because it feels unrewarding having the game handed to you like that. Anyone whos used it know how busted it feels.
DS and NOED are seen as equivalent because both overshadowed all the other perks by far. They can turn the tide of the game far too much for one perk. -

Becoming the obsession isn't a consequence unless the killer is running Rancor.
Dying light too but thats been nerfed into the ground in this update.
