New Decisive vs Enduring

so if the killer runs enduring this perk is absolutely bs, even if i have SB it will be on CD. So enduring and Ds is consumed, niiiiiiiiiice
i like the idea of the new ds
it's a huge nerf but now it's part of a new build

but im asking myself
if you do so devs

why the hell survivors die immediately if they are the last survivor on the hook, if there are so many ways to survive
for ex: luck, up the ante, slippery meat, deliverence, SB, DH, Decisive Strike
it's time to change that back^^ back to the roots

  • That is until an SWF member with a flashlight is waiting to blind the killer after DS is used since it's usage can't be stopped.
  • That's the way it should be

The second part is to not waste time

  • A Perk that gives you a second chance like DS out of the killers hands needs to have some form of counter, This is what made the old DS so broken.

If the New DS didn't have any counter then it'd still be a broken perk especially since now everyone running it can use it right away. The fact that enduring can somewhat counter it is what makes the new DS finally balanced.

  • To be fair it cuts it down from 2.28s to 1.71s not including the drop animation.

That is when the possible bug on it is fixed as right now it's been said by some it only adds around 55% to recovery instead of 75% atm.

If there is a change to lower the percentage I do wonder if its a bug or intentional due to this incoming DS change so it makes it seem more of a difference as 55% makes it a 1.93s stun.
  • I understand the idea of making the game fair for both sides. DS would be less annoying for good gameplay on the part of the killer. But theoretically having a whole damned Perk for only 1 second, especially under all those restrictions, is more than ridiculous.
i hope they adjust the numbers if they r sure destroying Decisive Strike, a veteran perk, something god damn old in dbd ^^

Isnt the current DS already countered by enduring? At least thats what survivors claim all the time. So it shouldnt be a big deal if the new DS is countered by enduring.

Because if the survivor is the last one left...

    • They kobe then get knocked down and go right back on the hook

    • They don't get manage to get off the hook, they stay on struggling to drag the game out.

There is literally no point to it. Now that you mention DS it's interesting. You're basically saying...

    • Survivor jumps off the hook, gets knocked down, now gets a free DS in an attempt for the hatch

Yeah you see the problem there is that it's bullshit if I'm honest. Its exactly why people hated DS. A free escape with no counter play. If you go on the hook after everyone else is dead that's it, you die, game over, everyone collects their points and moves on. No need to extend it just because survivors want to use their BS perks.

They’re complaining since DS’ stun time was reduced from 4 seconds to 3 seconds. So with enduring, the killer is stunned for 0.75 seconds instead of 1.0 second. Not a big change, but any change not in DS’ favor is certain to have an uproar.

Surely that Jake messed up and didnt go for the pallet fast enough.

We've all used Enduring and still had a survivor go down next to a pallet or vault, use DS and then manage to use the pallet/vault to make it to safety.

A Perk countering a Perk, the horror :scream:
The 3 second stun needs to stay just that, If there's no counter to the new DS it'll be a free escape on pickup for not just one but all 4 survivors now.

If you're really worried about enduring there's options, bring Dead hard to dodge the first swing or sprint burst.
