This is what I've been saying. It's a race to the most OP builds, with DS and NOED at the top. Those 2 perks are so mucb more powerful than the rest it's ridiculous.twistedmonkey said:It goes back and forth if one sides uses something deemed not fair then the other next time does the same and it keeps going on and on until each side uses the strongest builds to just get the game over with as quick as possible.
Survivors use builds to stop being caught and do gens fasst over fear of camp and tunnel, killers use builds over the fear of gen rush and camp to get someone out the game quicker to even the odds it never ends.
The few ruined it for the many as it spiralled until the choice of playing fun starts to dwindle as it's more risky than just playing to escape/sacrifice.
Having a points based perk system would be better. -
Cool. A race to the bottom with crappy perks. Just what the game needs. Much fun.Tucking_Friggered said:@The_Crusader said:

We do. So looks like we all deal with it. You keep your DS and we'll keep NOED. We have Enduring and you have cleansing. ;}

Os it just me or is LF the most likely killer to disconnect when losing? Seems like everytime I have a killer disconnect they're using him.

BBQ really isn't that bad. Not while NOED exists.
You can always stealth to hide from the killer easily. BBQ only starts to feel OP on Billy and Nurse, like a lot of perks. But thats a debate for another time. -
Those perks seem like standard DBD to me.
Toxicity in general is up though. -
It's good. It works well with self-care to make it useable and you can heal other survivors 33% faster at any time. Given the sloppy meta its good to have.
-
It's only a problem on Nurse and Billy. Like most things.
-
If they aren't ready by 10 seconds remaining just skip the lobby and find a new one.
-
I too think that kills would be much, MUCH lower if NOED wasn't around. I just feel thar NOED doesn't do anybody any favours. Bad killers rank up because of it and they find themselves out of their depth. They aren't going to get any better having a perk do the work for them.Blueberry said:I don't dislike NOED because I think it's unfair, I think it's totally fair. The survivors have the full opportunity to cleanse the totems ahead of time. I dislike NOED because it rewards killers for the survivors being greedy, not because they actually played well. It gives kills that they didn't earn. I think we'd be shocked to see the games kill stats if all NOED downs were taken out of that data.

Give Laurie a new perk. -
When reset happens I normally play mostly survivor because I want to get away from the low ranks as fast as possible (more camping, more disconnects).
So when I play killer a week later, I should be getting easy games right? As all the good people have zoomed up the ranks away from me.
That's not the case though. In fact I'm getting hardee games now than I did in red ranks before reset. How is that?
The only thing I notice is that there are a hell of a lot of red rank players who have friends from level 15-18. A hell of a lot. Seems suspicious. These people hit red ranks in like 5 days too. I've never seen the gens go so fast.
Its obvious many derank too. You can tell from the way they play and the perks they use that they've consistently been rank 1. I.e. Iron will and genrushing while injured, that's a strategy less experienced players dont tend to use. Fact they always bring flashlights is what makes me think they're doing it on purpose. They always have noob3 inspired names too. -
Lmao. Genrushing has been a phrase used for years.Poweas said:Genrushing came meta when self care was nerfed.
I mean gens are the survivors objectives. Of course they're going to try and do it as fast as possible. Its not like they were saying "lets take our time with gens...oh no now they added 4 seconds onto healing, we better rush them as fast as possible!".
Besides everyone was complaining that surviors healed too fast before that. -
Remember, a DS rework is coming soon™

But you dont trust survivors ok.
There are streamers out there who refuse to use this perk because they feel it's overpowered, can allow any bad killer to receive a much better final result than they would otherwise be able to get, and it's just generally unsportsmanlike.
A huge chunk of the community consifer NOED along with DS as perks that reward bad play and suck the fun and skill out of the game.

Re-read the thread. People are complaining that they take out 4 and it still pops. So what should they do? Run around checking every nook and cranny looking for it to make sure? Or assume one of the others must have done it if they cant find it?
What if multiple survivors run around looking for 5 totems? Then who is doing the generators?
All we want is an indication of how many have been cleansed, which is what swf have.
Seems to me killers want survivors doing anything but generators, we've all seen the 1000 threads begging for more objectives for survivors. They just want solo players to be as easy as possible, because most killers lobby dodge swf anyway.
I’m 99% solo player, and to be honest I’d rather be doing anything but gens at this point lol.
If they get a single kill from NOED my oppinion is it’s deserved, it’s very much an end game play style, it has a good risk reward balance.
I don’t mind this perk at all. Even when I’ve evaded all match done gens and just getting to the gate NOED bites me on the backside, I can live without that escape and those few BPs I’ll get from it.
We do have maps and perks to locate the totems, don’t see why a survivor should have a bonus perk of a counter that puts the killers “maybe” perk at a huge disadvantage, when the killer them selves don’t even have the ability to do this without a perk.
It's one perk slot. In return you get a speed boost an unlimited instadowns when survivors are at their weakest (most pallets destroyed, maybe a survivor or two dead).
The risk is very, very small. The reward is very, very big. -
Bump.
After thebpast few days I strongly agree with this. Over half of the games are camping. Huntress is the absolute worst, they literally never leave the hook area, if people try to unhook they just throw a hatch at the person unhooked. It's such a lame way of playing.
To make matters worse they try to cause a hatch standoff at the end. Like they deserve to win. I had one where i did all the work, got the most points, didnt unhook the last guy from the basement because Huntress had camped every single hook and he had a go at me for not unhooking. Like how dumb are some players? Hes mad at me for not throwing my life away to give a sad camper another kill?
Then of course the campers gloat post game. They always gloat. They dont care about playing properly, they just want to troll. Camp, noed, and gloat.
We've been over thos before but Noed enables half of their toxic garbage. The devs are afraid to nerf it though because the killer community would scream and bang their hands and feet on the floor.
People always said survivor was easy and killer was nigh on impossible, but not only is killer easier it's far more chilled. I can enjoy the game as killer because killer controls the game. As survivor you just got to hope you're against someone fun and not someone who will sit staring at the people on the hook one by one. -

Ok another perfect example here
Load into game on red forest vs a Clown
1 person disconnects immediately (crash I'm assuming)
First person gets hooked quickly, immediately kills themself on the hook
next person gets hooked, immediately kills themself on hook
I've took out Ruin and done a gen but he catches me, against his green add-ons I can't run for long
He downs me, hooks me, then stands there nodding away. Post game he gives me "EZ" and "team of noobs".
He had NOED too which doesn't surprise me one bit.
And at the end of that I got a nice de-pip.
This seems to be the typical solo survivor experience these days. It's not hard to see why disconnects are so common. When is this going to be addressed?
As for me, I'm sure as hell gonna tbag a lot more killers from now on.

Unbreakable for sure, but please dont tell me you mean No Mither with this "Please pick me up, I will recover from dying state"-Sign.
Unbreakable, Tenacity and to an extent Adrenaline. This is on top of the fact that slugging was nerfed recently to where you can recover to only needing a second tap from another survivor to get you up or that with the recently added ranking system killers are punished for slugging as it doesn't get you any emblem points.
Lol what?
If there are 2 survivors left and 1 is slugged I can guarentee you Adrenaline isn't going to activate anytime soon.
Tenacity can't get you off the ground. You could crawl to the other person but chances are the killer will be keeping a watchful eye over you anyway so you'd just get the other person killed.
That leaves Unbreakable, a perk that will see use in 1 in every 500 games. Killers don't take Hangmans trick, mad grit, or iron maiden for the same reason.
" If there are 2 survivors left and 1 is slugged I can guarentee you Adrenaline isn't going to activate anytime soon."
This is entirely subjective. Many times you only need 1 or 2 gens and if the killer is really watching that closely over them then that shouldn't be a problem. If they aren't then that's an easy save.
"Tenacity can't get you off the ground. You could crawl to the other person but chances are the killer will be keeping a watchful eye over you anyway so you'd just get the other person killed."
The whole point is not that it gets you off the ground, it's that you are able to lose the killer and get off the ground quicker from a save. If he''s watching you so closely that he still doesn't lose you then that other survivor is getting to work on gens for free now isn't he. Also, only a stupid survivor is gonna be just crawling directly in the direction of the other survivor and that's just simply a miss play on his part.
"That leaves Unbreakable, a perk that will see use in 1 in every 500 games. Killers don't take Hangmans trick, mad grit, or iron maiden for the same reason."
So if it's that rarely used then slugging really isn't happening that often, so which is it? Is it happening enough to make this perk good or is it not and this entire forum post is now mute. You're contradicting yourself.
Sometimes the killer gets a 4k. Sometimes you escape. To be slugged you would need to be 1 of 2 last remaining survivors, and normally in this scenario there is no chance of getting the gens done - hence why the other survivor is hatch camping.
For me personally I'm the last remaining survivor and the other guy is slugged. So unbreakable wouldn't help. -
Some suggestions I've had.Giddawid said:I am sorry to hear that some of you are having experiences like this in your games, and I can sympathise with you. I agree with @Eveline that there are different degrees to it, and this is something we want to minimise the gap on. I can assure you that we are looking into ways of lowering levels of toxicity, beyond our banning systems, and also looking into gameplay mechanic changes as well. Ultimately, from my own experience, I try my hardest to separate the emotional side of my brain from the logical side, when it comes to "toxicity". The Meg is teabagging the killer, not the person PLAYING Meg is teabagging me. Separating that has helped me not take it to heart

1) Overwatch changes things like "gg ez" to humiliating sentances like "mom says I have to go to bed now".
2) Rainbow six auto banned people for using the very worst words. Even without banning, there could at least be a word filter in the game. Personally I think it's ridiculous that the forums have a word filter but the game doesn't. There's no good reason for anyone to tell someone to kill themselves. Or if they say certain words/phrases they could just be muted and disabled from commenting in pre or post game chat for 24 hours.
This is just for the post game chat. In game I guess it's harder. -

Yeah Nurse needs tracking more than anything else. Almost everyone taked BBQ on her. Discordance should be good.
Nurses is useful too, as is Shadowborn for keeping track of them with the wider FOV. -
If you're using Nurse then yeah but you didn't specify that. Thought you meant on any killer and some just dont have the map pressure for that sadly.Mr_Black said:@The_Crusader said:
Depends. If your objective is to find survivors then it's pretty good.Might leave some killers a little exposed in other areas, e.g. anti-loop or slowing the game down but would be good on Nurse.
Constantly knowing where survivors are to tp to them and smack them wouldn't slow gens down? Especially with discordance...

Dont forget Ruin.PiiFree said:Here's why:
The Survivors are constantly busy healing up through Thanatophobia and Sloppy Butcher. Sounds ridiculous but that's actually what happens. They mend & heal up for 50 seconds only to find out they're getting injured again 2 seconds later.

I think I see more Legions with Ruin than any other killer. -
Ok. Wasnt aware of that.PiiFree said:@The_Crusader said:
If the killer really wants them to have the hatch what does it matter? They get stunned plus they lose one point in Malicious if they wiggle free. That's not the case if the Killer just drops them on the hatch.
It's not much, but it's annoying if you consider the fact that they're trying to be nice and in exchange they get punished for it.
Thing is most killers hook you anyway. With how broken the new hook system can be, is the survivor meant to waste a chance at escaping based on the hope that the other play will show mercy? -

Because sweat.
I don't mind when they do it after a well earned victory. I just hate when they try it after a 3vs1 game where they had a big advantage, or when they do it after camping all game and having noob survivors feed them kills. -

How is it double standards?BrendanLeeT said:@The_Crusader said:
I'm not gonna disagree that survivors are more toxic in general. As for killers though, yeah if they lose badly they leave, but if they 4k they'll always stay around for the gloating and the "EZ". If they camped and noed to get 3 kills you can sure as hell bet they'll try to gloat and make fun of survivors too despite playing in a really ######### way.
Basically they only leave if they have nothing to say, otherwise they love to run their mouths and talk trash.
Hmm, this is reminding this that in 9/10 of my games, at least one survivor is just sat at the exit gates t-bagging or they will say post-game chat "Baby killer ez". Double standards man, survivors sit at the exit gates t-bagging and now some killers are sticking around to say ez.
I've already said its widely known about survviors toxicity, and likewise it is some survivors not all.
My point was that killer toxicity seems to be on the rise. Which is worrying because traidtionally they haven't been as bad as survivors.
