The difference is that NOED is mostly only bad for the health of the game and just as unfun as DS, it's only going to work against very altruistic survivors or in other words ppl playing to have fun
Why can't we just delete both and get rid of the biggest gripes for 2 sides so we can then choose 2 new gripes to argue about for the next few years till those get removed?
For killers it'd be either Adrenaline or insta Heals and for survivors Iri hatchets or Mori's I'd say Iri hatchets and Insta heals can be yanked next.
Iri hatchets should just not be usable with infantry belt, they'd be fine otherwise.
All forms of instaheal need to go, toolboxes need to be redesigned since gens are going fast enough as is. NOED should go but non-instadown killers would need something for endgame.
Agree with all you said tbh though I do think if noed gets nerfed then adrenaline needs a nerf too.
Moris are on par with keys. Both can end the game faster than they should.

So what we've learned recently...
Killers: NERF THEIR CRUTCH PERK!!
DS gets nerfed
Survivors: Ok now you nerf your crutch perk too so that it's fair
Killers: Nuh-uh!
The childish entitlement.
DS isn't counter-able and relies on the survivor to miss the skill check. Survivors get a free escape and killer loses needed pressure.
Noed is one of 5 totems you can break and have the entire game time to do so.
I still fail to see the comparison.
Not to mention the new DS perk is going to be super strong end game anyway, it's just removing the early pressure loss for killer.
Noed is a mediocre perk and any decent killer will win before all 5 gens are completed. Survivors already move onto complaining about other perks when killers start getting 'sweaty' to win, like it is at rank 1 currently.
You say "any decent killer will win before all 5 gens are completed".
So then if the game is easy for decent killers to win, does that not prove NOED is too much? If the killer can pressure survivors that much then how are they expected to cleanse the totems? Does it not boost a good player with a strong killer into OP territory?
And if a decent killer can win like that, then does it not say that people that cant just need to get better? Why should they have a free boost to grant them a few kills? Out of pity?
People compare noed and ds because both perks can change the outcome of the game in an instant and really screw the other side even if they played well.
No perks should be able to swing the game so easily. BBQ can't do it, Sprint Burst can't do it. Both are really strong but can't turn the tide of the game in an instant.

The amount of killers that rely on camp and NOED is ridiculous. It really sucks the fun out of the game for most people. -

Yes, 3 survivors can cleanse totems faster than 1...but 3 survivors can do a generator faster than 1.Orion said:@The_Crusader said:
Which proves what I was saying...Killers don't want the totems cleansed. They want the biggest crutchperk in the game (once DS is changed) to activate.
5 totems x 14 = 70 seconds. That's not including time spent running around looking for them, or survivors being interrupted and needing to start cleansing from the beginning again. Add in all that and it's easily over a gens worth of time, easily. In fact almost every game I get interrupted at least once.
If a killer can't win with 6 gens then they have a problem. 6 gens or instadowns and speed boost at the endgame. It's win/win for killers either way.
It's only 70 seconds if there's a single survivor breaking every single totem, and it's only roughly equivalent to 6 generators if the other three do nothing while that one is breaking totems.
Now here's the funny part: 5 generators being repaired by 3 survivors take the same amount of time as 5 generators being repaired by 4 survivors, assuming only one is allowed per generator. That's because if there are 5 generators and 3 survivors, they can repair three generators simultaneously (+80 seconds) and then two again (+80 seconds). If there are five generators and four survivors, they can repair three generators simultaneously (+80 seconds) and then two again (+80 seconds).
So even in your scenario of only one survivor breaking all the totems, disregarding the absurd notion that the other three are just sitting on their asses doing nothing for the full 70 seconds, total generator repair time is unchanged. The minimum amount of time required for the trial to end is unchanged. Because actions can occur simultaneously, which is something people who say breaking every totem is like adding an entire generator's worth of repair time always "forget".
The act of cleansing totems still takes around the same time as a generator and if survivors are doing totems then try lose that time on generators.
70 seconds MINIMUM. That's not including time spent searching but most inportantly, time lost due to interruptions since progress resets. -

Just play killer and be the change you want to see. That's what I do. I play without crutches, without camping, without tunneling and currently even without ruin and I still get my 4k most of the time.
I get positive feedback once in a while and really enjoy the games a lot more than I used to. Meanwhile all those ruin+noed tryhards get insulted everyday and come here to cry about all those toxic survivors. Guess what: You're the reason they're tbagging.
Some guy sent me a wall of text after a game the other day literally thanking me for a fair game even though I killed him.
I remember the days when survivors really were op as hell with their pallet vacuums, infinite sprint bursts, tons of pallets on "blood lodge", completely broken loops etc.
Those days are gone. If you are a killer main and you still struggle to kill survivors then it's a YOU problem. -

@The_Crusader LOL! I don't care if I die as long as I get a decent amount of bp, Dead hard doesn't need a nerf because 25% of the time you get hit anyway and who the hell uses spring burst nowadays anyway? Have you played the game in the last couple of months? lol
Sadly these seem to be the people that get listened to these days. -
@TangledNoodles It doesn't matter. The killer mains get uptight and stomp their feet if anyone tries to take their precious NOED away from them and the devs cave in everytime.
They don't even want a totem counter because they don't want solos deatroying the totems. They desperately want their frre instadowns at the end.
These are the same people that lobby dodge SWF too I bet because gotta protect those totems. -

Name one situation where it is not the most efficient way to play
If you're waiting for the survivor to be unhooked or ignoring other survivors while looking around for the one person.
Thats camping.
Tunneling is when you have the choice of two "somehow equally" reachable targets and go for the unhooked one. At least thats how tunneling usually is defined
Some killers hardcamp, like within 16m.
Some dance around the hook within 35m or so, checking nearby areas but mostly waiting for the unhook.
If a killer hooks one then goes to get another survivor chances are the first survivor hooked will be unhooked and can get away to heal. Killers in this situation just go for whoever they come across.
The only exceptions being Billy and Nurse as they can down people and cross the map fast rnough to do both. -

Pipping is not a reward. If all 4 just kill themselves on hook they robbed the killer of his time too.

Killers can be the same to be honest. You get a GG if they win and cockyness, but they quickly end the chat or cry about swf if they lose (even when you're solo).

Freddy is just disorientating. Ok technically hes slowed down by waiting for the survivor to sleep but at that point he has permanent aura-reading meaning you cant lose him in a chase like you can wraith.
A good Wraith (that doesnt camp like 90% of them) is one of the most fun killers to come across imo you can tell they know what they're doing and play well, and having him come out of nowhere keeps you in suspense.
A good freddy is still a dud tobplay against and a bad freddy is just garbage. -
Not if he's waiting around the hook area while the others do gens it isn't. Which is what happens at low rank, it's just that gens go so slowly the killer can get away with it.MhhBurgers said:@The_Crusader said:
ATOMIC_ACE_PUGG said:Then do something about gens being done too fast. Ruin isn't enough
That makes no sense.
Gens dont get done at low rank thats why camping works.
If gens took even longer than camping would be stringer than it is now.
As for tunneling, if you're tunneling one guy then yeah the gens are going to be powered up fast.
Tunneling is the most effective strategy a killer can go for if he manages to injure/down the unhooker it's the best thing to go for the survivor who will be stage2/dead as long as he still has the chance to find him.
With good survivors you need hooks constantly, hence why tunneling goes down because people don't have time to wait around for one survivor to be unhooked. -
I prefer losing a killer in a chase rather than looping then for 5 gens so that's why Freddy is so bad.Khroalthemadbomber said:Legion is remarkably easy to counter in terms of losing them. The problem comes from even if you lose them, you still need to find a safe place to mend. If they find you whilst mending you're boned.
Freddy is honestly nothing more than a really annoying gnat buzzing around your ear currently. Yes he puts you to sleep and slows the game down a little, but honestly that's all he's got going for him. It comes down to with Freddy of how good of an M1 killer are you? If you're good then you'll have few issues. If you're normally looped to oblivion even against lower ranked survivors, you're in for hell.
It honestly depends on what you define as "fun" while playing survivor. If your definition is to have a fairly easy time with the killer then odds are Freddy is your killer of choice. I'm sorry Freddy mains, but it's true. Unlike you, Legion can be an immediate threat not instantly countered by RNG. I had a Freddy sit on me for about 6-7 attempts of putting me to sleep while working a generator all because I had Spine Chill and was getting a steady stream of skill checks because of it.
If you want to take on a killer and run for your life constantly versus a killer who, depending on add-ons, in some cases can be more broken then the Nurse then Legion is your personal playground.
Honestly for me? I enjoy taking on Doctors who do nothing but shock instead of FMT/SWS Legions all the time.
Mending gets annoying yeah but it's still better than self-caring whilst trying to fail a skillcheck, or worse trying to blow up a gen, all the while he can see your aura and has add ons to prevent skill checks.
Then there is the invisibility on top. Hearing the lullaby but having no idea where he is. At least you can see where Legion is. -
The current matchmaking isn't hat big a deal as the matchmaking was also trash before. There was no way to tell who was a legit rank 15 and who was a deranking pro or longtime veteran who didn't play enough anymore to rank up.
I was going against many people with 1500+ hours on record when I first started and it was awful. I still don't have that mnay hours on the game. -

Hate to say it but the new DS may help a bit.
Really though you've just got to focus on pips. People play better in red ranks, it's 9 and below that are awful.
Do a gen or two, get an unhook, survive about 10 mind and try to hold a decent chase. If the killer is camping take BT. Don't worry about making it out, just grind until you get to the fun ranks.
I was in the same boat as you. It sucks that you need to grind your ass off to enjoy the game. The killers are just so bad at low ranks. -

Top tier at camping, but everything else? Not really too special. Most hags camp and don't understand how to use her traps properly. I have been playing her since post buffs and I swear i have never seen another killer in game use her traps correctly. First off you don't just spam her traps thoughtlessly, you put them in spots that force survivors to mess up. The most common and the only one I've seen people do right (because its just easy to understand and do) is put traps on one side of a loop. However did you know you can put traps off a loop, just within range to trigger, and it forces the player to run off the loop resulting in a free hit. You can also put a trap between the two lockers at shack, it completely messes survivors up and results in a free hit. This is called her camera flick and when used right It forces survivors toward it, meaning they come straight to you. Lets also not forget her basement game, which is better than any other killer because you only need 3 traps to protect the hook than you can go nearly anywhere on the map and still catch them escaping the basement after a save. Put on make your choice and M&A and your set for a good game, So far this week and playing daily with hag I have only had two or three games were i only got two kills.
8 traps around a hook and 2 as spare. -

Nurse is obviously broken but at least someone took time to get good with her. Billy is just far too easy to learn and his chainsaw has a mile wide hitbox. Always fun seeing him instadown someone in the first 10 seconds of the game while your team hasnt even discovered that he has Ruin yet.
I'd take Legion over Hillbilly too. -
Legion you can't loop because he vaults pallets and hacks away at you.
Freddy you can't lose in a chase because as soon as you get away he sees your aura, while you're self-caring and mashing away at the button hoping a skillcheck comes along but it never does. If you're not injured you can't even do that.
Plus at least you can see Legion, unlike that invisible p.o.s. -
