Ok not gonna lie, the aesthetic is amazing. Nice to see her original costume looks cool too, cus normally its average and its the dlc one that looks great.
Guessing she infects survivors somehow? She also needs to lay off Bill's cigarettes with that cough.

I hate this "adapt" bullshit. 60 seconds currently is so long that you could not be tunneling at all and still eat it. the new DS will still rob you of a hook if you're unlucky, difference is that it won't cost you earlygame pressure now.
Survivors should not get perks that give free escapes in the first place, let's just be honest but sadly this is how it is currently.
Hey I don't disagree that 60 seconds seemed excessive. The question however was about the upcoming DS and as it stands now it will take some time to adapt.
I mostly didn't tunnel but I don't think any killer can say they never hooked anyone within 60 seconds of them coming off the hook. Sometimes that's just how the game plays out.
-
Not sure. I think some people are in for a shock though.
Not to have a dig at anyone, but just as an example - Tru3tal1nt was saying it sounds good. However there are plenty of cases where he hooks someone less than 60 seconds after they have been unhooked. So he will potentially end up taking more D-strikes now than before.
It depends how willing killers are to adapt.
As for survivors I think many will be happy as it discourages tunneling now and everyone can use it instantly but I think the toxic players will be disappointed that they can't use it instantly anymore.

Another good point. You kind of need to gen rush against a good Billy or Nurse as their pressure is immense. Many do take NOED. I understand it on Pig and Freddy but on a good nurse or billy it's too strong, especially for solo players.
If they wont change the perk at least infornation would be good. You don't even need a totem counter, just had a sound effect and visual notification when a dull totem is cleansed. Like when a standard totem is cleansed but maybe grey out the explosion effect and play a xifferent sound, so that survivors know its a dull totem rather than a standard hex. This QOL improvement would go a long way for solo survivors.
-

Just to the NOED perk. As I said, for now, nothing is planned.
The idea of totem counter has been brought back to the team but it hasn't been discussed.
That's cool then.
I think a totem counter would go a long way to appeasing both sides.

I know. But what could it be?
Info on the killer or a picture.
All they have shown so far is an arm sticking out of fog.
They're saying in this stream you will get exclusive info you won't find anywhere else. Either a full picture of the killer or info on its power etc

@Cymer said:
So the conses is, I cannot cleanse 5 totems on my own, but if every survivor cleanse at least 1 totem, there is only one left, with an other Hex perk like Ruin, none.
So the real problem lies not within the perk, but that survivors in general don't cleanse totems, and those who would like to, are unable to cleanse all 5 of them.
So NOED punishes to group and a solo has a hard time to cleanse all totems.
Why can't the survivors in the pregame chat not communicate, let's all cleanse totems, I take Small Game and Detective's Hunch with a map. Who likes to be the looper? Who is the gen-jokey? Let's only save each other when we can do a safe unhook if you are unsure wait for the killer be in a chase. We use the chase time so one of us is doing a gen, one is looking for totems, one is the chased one and one plays libero and helps either cleansing totems, doing gens or flashlight saving/body blocking for the looper? Are we all good? Yes? Let's go and win this!
That's how I play the game and usually we all have fun. Not SWF btw. Just use the given mechanic.
Yes some want to play ego and tell you to f yourself but hey, they die in the end. Not my problem. They never will improve with this attitude. Poor guy.
Because you can communicate but often nobody does back. In fact survivors never really say anything pre-game. Regardless, no matter what is agreed pre-game there is no guarentee it will be done, nor do you know how many are done once you're actually in the game.
Here is another problem with it
- It's extremely strong against solo players
- It's almost worthless against 3-4 man SWF.
NOED is designed to be a strong perk. Which group does the killer need it most against though? 4 solo survivors with no communication? Or 4 man swf on voice coms?
Minimum people would like infornation on when a totem is cleansed. That said I don't think a rework that made decreased the gap between solo/swf would be too crazy an idea either.
Another issue with it is that like DS it enables toxicity. I've lost track of the amount of wraiths or hillbillys that just facecamp, so survivors rush gens but dont have time to do totems so the killer is granted at least 1 more sacrifice anyway due to NOED. I'd like to see something that rewarded hooks like BBQ does.

@not_Queen said:
We aren't planning to change NOED at the moment. We consider that NOED has multiple gameplay counters and is currently in a good place. We do not think of NOED as an equivalent to DS.
Does that mean aren't planning to change NOED the perk? Or aren't planning to change anything related to NOED?
For example a lot of players would be fine with a totem counter as that helps solo players but doesn't affect the perk. I'm not sure if no changes means just the perk or the perk + totems.
-
Yeah people worked hard on the menu music, why let it just disappear never to be heard again? Outside of youtube videos that someone kindly uploaded.
Put it back in the game.

Spirit,Nurse,Hag and Legion with the right addons.
Spirit can't make it as far as Billy, nor does she travel as fast. On top of that once she uses the power to move across the map she then has to wait 15 seconds for the power to recharge.
Take Azarov's resting place for example. Billy can make it from one end to the other very quickly. Spirit by default can't make it that far. You could take the mother-daughter ring for speed and an add-on for duration but then she has a long recharge time - on top of this she can't see survivors so she cant stop if she sees one mid way like Billy can. You could take a recharge add-on instead but then she had to sacrifice either the speed or the duration. Spirit is far more balanced.
Hag can't travel map wide either with most of her add-ons. Most importantly she needs to wait for a survivor to land on a trap. If a survivor doesn't do this then she can't teleport across the map at all. There is mint rag but that's an ultra rare add-on and like spirit it comes with a 15 second cooldown after use.
Legion - lol
Nurse - Omegablink Nurse yes but nobody ever said the Nurse didn't have balance issues.
Billy can travel across the map whenever he wants, as many times as he wants, and his power is immediately available again after using it for crossing the map.
-
His movement speed is fine. It doesn't make any sense for him to be slower.
All they need is a few tweaks to his current power. Right now he can take instasaw add ons and just swing, swing, swing, swing, swing that chainsaw with little downside. Most people agree rhe instasaw needs to goz on top of that I think the charge speed should slow him down more like Leatherface. Right now it's easier to get hits with hillbillys chainsaw than leatherface's which makes no sense.
Perhapd a cooldown to his sprint too so he cant hook a survior, run away, then instantly sprint back for the tunnel.
In this way he could still be strong with the instadown and travel speed but he just wouldn't feel as cheap as he does now.
-
Just as a general suggestion, perhaps try a different role for him.
If he struggles with skillchecks then you could do the gens, have your husband take small game and cleanse the totems to deactivate NOED. There are no skillchecks on totems.
Taking Borrowed Time and We'll Make It could also make him the unhook guy. Granted he would still get skillchecks while healing but with We'll make it and Botany Knowledge as well the heals will be that fast there is a much lower chance of getting skillchecks.
-
I don't know what they've done but it has been awful in 2 man swf recently. It takes a long time to find a game, and when you do you're often met with red ping or the killer dodges the lobby.
It really sucks the fun out of the game.
-
Like DS, this perk has the power to swing the outcome of a game in an instant and often does so. Survivors don't like that.
There is debate over the totems. 5 totems seems like a lot to disable 1 perk, especially when said perk can turn the game around completely. At the very least though survivors just want information on totems. It's easy to clear them all in swf because you can ask your friends how many they have cleansed and where. In solo survivor though it's another story. I've cleansed 4 before and still gone down to NOED because the other 3 survivors didn't manage to take out a gen between them. I've also had 4 done before and spent ages at the end of the game looking for a totem which I couldn't find but it turns out someone else had taken it out already so I wasted a good few minutes doing nothing for that. A totem counter would go a long way.

A couple games ago there were two survivors left on the freddy map and the one who had been causing me trouble with unhooks and gens all game got downed luckily for me it was the ds so I left him to bleed while I checked gens (had deerstalker) found Claudette lurking nearby and hooked her, the ds bled out.
Not gonna pick up ds players if I can help it, it's basically a monopoly get out of jail free card which robs killers of a hook they earned.
I leave them to bleed out at the end too. They want to play in a lame way by bringing a broken ######### perk then we can both play in a lame way and sit waiting 2 mins at the end.
Luckily some of them surrender and crawl towards a hook for me. Still not picking them up outside of juggling distance because if they have a chance to use it then they'll use it.
-
At this point I just want the loading screen issues fixed. It's every other game sometimes abd I've wasted so many offerings.
After that the DS change.
-
Lmao. Survivors would have every crutch under the sun. Decisive Strike, Deliverance, Adrenaline, Unbreakable, Sprint Burst, self-care, urban evasion
Its bad enough now
-
Sounds pretty standard worldwide.
Cote has been improving a bit since then I think. He's due a rematch.
-
I usually dont chase them. But sometimes if I get them on hook I'll stay near them if im feeling in the mood. If they stay on hook or go down in front of hook then I dont need to worry about taking the stun :)
-
If a killer stays within a close proximity of the hook for most of the game then NOED shouldn't activate
Right now its easy for many to camp because they know their crutch will still kick in at the end of the game.
-
And now they gave Jeff the honour of having the loudest and most obnoxious scream in the game.
In fact his scream sounds kind of like the old kates.
-
I'd appriciate it if someone could take an oath on behalf ot the entire team that never again will we get a perk as broken as Decisive Strike.

You can avoid everything by beeing aware and sticking to loops. U can loop billy aswell, and a minority is capable of doing perfect and deadly curving at loops (and even then it's open for mindgames, survivors can bait that).
Imo if you go down within the first minute of the match you did the mistakes.
You can loop him yes. Yet for years he has been known as the second strongest killer in the game.
So what's going on there? If Billy was just a loopable pleb like leatherface then he would have always been far below Hag, Huntress and Clown on tier lists yet everyone knows he's much, much stronger.

Spirit is almost as good as Nurse. That's far too OP. She doesn't need a nerf but she definitely isn't balanced. She chases better then Nurse as well. Since you can't really juke a God tier Spirit.
IMO Billy is perfectly balanced. Loopable, strong enough to end chases quickly but to also be juked. Perfect and in a good spot.
Edit: forgot to mention how a good Spirit ends chases in pretty much 10 seconds.
Spirit doesn't have an instadown though. Meaning her chases can never be as short as Billy's. Plus she can't cross the map like he can. If someone gets unhooked across the map she cant go back for the tunnel. She can cross a fair bit of the map but not all but then she's left without a power for 15 seconds until it recharges.
Billys instadowns and speed make his snowball potential much stronger than spirits which is ehy spirit feels less cheap.

He said he 360'd you. You don't know how much that means to these idiots.
One time some guy did it to me and I fell for it because I didn't see it coming. He immediately started tbagging at every pallet after that. I hit him everytime perfectly from then on no matter how much he tried to 360 because I was prepared for it, and I got a 4k and they only did 1 or 2 gens. Post games hes getting extremely salty and saying 4k isnt a win and how he won because he pulled off one 360 when I wasn't really concentrating.
Seen other situations like that too. If you miss one seing these idiots think they're noob3 himself and it inflates their egos out of control. They really are sad pathetic little children.

Sorry man, whoever gets downed by a blind chainsaw sprint in the first 10 seconds is absolute garbage and should go back to rank 20 and learn the basics.
Not really. His appears on top of survivors out of nowhere. If they aren't next to a pallet or window and he's carrying the instasaw add ons then it's easy to get an instadown.
There's a real contradiction when it comes to Hillbilly. He's apparantly so easy to loop yet he'd also the second best killer in the game. Those two things don't add up.
-
Depends on which killer you're using. If it's Freddy, Pig, Billy etc then I'd say keep it.
Hag or Nurse I've never used it anyway.
If its wraith like your profile pic well I never unlocked it on him and I've been doing ok with what I have.
-
Feng Min - Full dark ninja outfit. One to surpass P3 Claudette.
-
I don't know. Would seem a little unfair having survivors needing to reset the same trap every few minutes. The grey bag should probably have been basekit though.

Are you trying to say that if a killer lets the survivors do 5 gens, then he played poorly?
If he got 1-2 hooks during that time then yes.
But you can get 8 hooks and have all survivors escape. Is that really a loss?
-
Yes the most balanced killer is the one that can have a survivor instadowned in the first 10 seconds of the game and create an immense snowball at any minute. *Rolls eyes*
Spirit is a good candidate. Has options at every pallet, but takes 2 hits to down survivors. Has snowball potential but not overwhelmingly slow. When phasing she can either wreck survivors or miss completely. She's a strong balanced killer.
-
This is about hatchets? I thought it was about the totem.
Might as well have big neon signs pointing towards it just in case the survivors somehow miss it.
-
Seems same as always to me, by that I mean incredibly common.
-
A survivor wasting 10 minutes sneaking around looking for the hatch while both exit gates are open is on the game. I really feel the devs could fix this easily by decreasing the amount of points you get from the hatch.
It's a pity escape for 1 survivor and I'm fine with that if it's their only option but it shouldn't give more points than going out of the exit gates which is harder. This just leads to some idiot wasting the killlers time at the end of the game.
-
Most: Clown, Spirit, Hag, Wraith
Mid: Doc, Trapper, Huntress, Nurse, Pig, Freddy
Least: Hillbilly, Leatherface, Legion, Myers
Don't know the exact order but that's a good guess. Hillbilly, LF and Legion I just don't find that exciting. Myers I would use more but he has a really poor selection of perks at the moment.
-
@Eninya said:
Him being invisible is one of the worst things about him. You can't really stealth around him, unless there's miraculously grass everywhere... and he's not listening for your movement.
Yeah, the things that make him fun to use are what makes him so unfun to play against.
The total invisibility and permanent aura reading need to go.
-
@CronaWins said:
I have 2k hours playing both killer and survivor at red ranks.
Survivors are much stronger.
In what way? There are a lot of variables in this game. Is it a case of them using Sprint Burst to rush to the nastiest loop in the map?
I could show a video of Pig eating pallets for 5 gens and only getting 1 hook and then say killers are severely underpowered. Then I could post a video of a 5 blink Nurse doing a 4k with 5 gens remaining and say killers are OP.
I do think some maps could definitely use some tweaking. Coldwind maps and some autohaven pallet/jungle gym spawns leave the loopable killers feeling underpowered.
-
Jason is iconic but really I feel like he wouldn't be that exciting at this point in the game and would probably be shoehorned in power-wise.
I orefer an original killer because it gives them more creative freedom.
-
@Eveline said:
Okay he made some mistakes but is it fair to finally get someone and then they get a free escape? That person gets rewarded for their own mistake.
Of course not, that's why so many of us have kicked and screamed for so long about getting the perk changed lol
I can't wait for the PTB. Hopefully the new version is less annoying. Gonna have to see how bad it becomes at end game though.
-
Not specifically for that. I havn't got the game on right now but perks like Resiliance might affect it? Spine chill as well perhaps.
The problem there is you can heal anyone at anytime, that's what Botany is for. self-care is a seperate perk.
You can't sabotage without the perk or toolbox so there's no need for a perk to boost the speed. I assume this is the reason for the lack of a perk.
-
Lol I did. Read the part where I mention noed and iridescent heads and ebony mori. When I mentioned survivors using their most bs and broken perks and then went on to list killer items/perks I was saying those are OP too.
-
Lithe.
I never fast vault unless I'm in a chase. Freddy and Wraith can be problematic with this perk and even in Tier 2 the perk has issues activating against Myers.
-
I've just had the usual recently. Tbagging and "you suck" blah blah blah.
For me nothing will top the "4k isn't a win" line I got from a salty survivor.
-
@NoShinyPony said:
You need to be an invisible Claudette. Some time ago, I saw a streamer who had killed the other 3 survs and no gen had been done. Claudette managed to do 2 gens and escape through the hatch. The killer patrolled the gens but he just couldn't find her. I've only seen something like this once but it's possible.
^ Pretty much this. It's a job for Claudette.

@Sinner said:
@The_Crusader He did use NOED for a long time, I think it was around the time before the double pallet nerf.
Also, if you say DS is bullshit, you should also mention the bullshit tools killers have, like camping and tunneling, which tru3noob uses every game, including this one.
But he doesn't use NOED these days is what I'm saying, even though it's an incredibly powerful option available to him.
Think you completely missed the point of my post btw. I'm saying a video like this doesn't prove that survivors are OP, it proves that DS is OP. There w as that video where tru3 playing survivor goes against a Huntress and loops for 5 gens then all 4 get killed at the end due to the noed crutch. I could have posted that and said killers are OP, or iridescent head/infantry belt combo and ebony mori.
My point is there is a lot of BS things available to players on both sides and it does you no favours trying to play sportsmanlike by not using some becauase chances are the other side will sure as hell be using theirs.
-
Survivors are not OP, Decisive Strike is OP.
Let me make some points here...
- I think we can all agree Tru3 played poorly at the start. He spent far too long on one survivor in a very strong area (shack).
- He takes a bullshit DS. That was 100% bullshit we can all agree on that. Not sure why he didn't quit, I'm not ashamed to say I quit if my first hook is a DS, especially if it's on the way to the basement. It's the most bullshit mechanic I've ever seen in any videogame and if the survivors want to play like that then they can have their 5k points and ######### off. Thank god that perk is getting changed. What an awful, awful, ######### bullshit perk
- Despite all this and sitting doing nothing he STILL gets a 2K. Does that mean killer is OP? Because you can have an awful start and 2k?
- Survivors used their most bs and broken perk. True wont use NOED, that could have made a difference towards the end. On top of that he also had a choice of Iridescent heads and an ebony mori. He could have probobly got the 4k despite such an awful start if he used those. Killers are OP?
- So all in all it's not so much killers or survivors it's some of the BS they can use that is the problem. Tru3 could have easily picked a much more OP build for Huntress and destroyed them but people don't normally post those videos on here. Decisive Strike really is absolute horseshit though and at least from now on they can't ever cheat you out of the first hook again.
-
As survivor I'd just be happy if I got a points bonus.
If 2 survivors d/c then I could get a safety pip easy and some points to have made my time in the game worthwhile.
-
Yeah as others have said, very bad PR.
Don't see why it's needed anyway when Jeff has hands down one of the best cosmetics in the game, the death metal facepaint outfit.
